SCHOEFFEL, MATTHEW C., 44 - of Sidney, Illinois, formerly of Trenton died Thursday, June 10, 2004 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.
Mr. Schoeffel was born on May 16, 1960 in Trenton, later relocating to Brant Beach, and then to Sidney Illinois.
Mr. Schoeffel attended St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Urbana, Illinois. He was a Physicians Assistant in the Cardiac Surgery Unit at Carle Foundation Hospital. He received a bachelor of Science degree at Hahneman Medical college, Philadelphia, P.A. He also received a bachelor of Arts degree from St. Anselm College in Manchester, N.H. He was a life time member of the Beach Haven First Aid Squad, and was a Distinguished member of the American Academy of the Physicians Assistants Association. He also enjoyed fishing, Disney and the Jersey Shore.
Son of the late BettyAnn Henry Schoeffel. He is survived by his two sons, Justin and Jordan Schoeffel; his father, Charles P. Schoeffel of Brant Beach and Deanne Taylor his best friend; four sisters, Susan Walsh of Yardley, P.A., Beth Frederickson of Manahawkin, Denise Heckbert of Orlando, Fl. and Jody Parent of Kingwood, TX; three brothers, Hank Schoeffel of Princeton, Brian Schoeffel of Egg Harbor Township and Thomas Schoeffel of San Diego, CA.
Calling hours will be at 10:30 am, Thursday, June 17, 2004 at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 716 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, followed by the Mass of the Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Burial will be in the Ewing Church cemetery.
Arrangements ar4e by the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 925 Parkway Ave, Ewing.

KAY, ADAM MIKE "LEFTY", 80 - of Holiday City Berkeley section of Berkeley Twp., for 22 years, previously living in Woodbridge and Jersey City prior to that.
He was a Laborer. He worked for Colgate-Palmolive Co., Jersey City for 40 years, retiring in 1980. Served in WWII Marine Corps from 1943-1946. He was a professional Baseball player for the NY Giants.
Predeceased by wife Olga Kay. Survived by sons and daughters in law: Robert M. and Kathleen Kay of Smithville, Thomas and Shirley Kay of Galloway; grandson: Michael; sister Ceil Rauss of Maryland; dear companion: Dolores Kalata.

DENOFIO, MARTHA (PARISH) 84 - of Millville, died suddenly Saturday evening at South Jersey Hospital System, Newcomb.
Born in Millville, she was a lifelong resident.
She had worked for Giuffra Candy Co. for 30 years and then worked for Friedrich and Dimmock Glass Co. for five years. Most recently she had worked for the Millville Board of Education in the Millville Senior High School Cafeteria for 10 years. She enjoyed shopping and attending yard sales.
She is survived by three sons, Antonio DeNofio of Vineland, Theodore DeNofio of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Robert A. DeNofio of Mays Landing; a daughter, Delores lqbal of Vineland; a sister, Irene Jensen of Millville; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville.

JABLONSKI, MARY FRANCES, 90 - died peacefully on June 13, 2004, in the arms of those who loved her. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she became a full time resident of Brigantine 25 years ago. In her lifetime, she saw two world wars and numerous conflicts. She lived through the influenza pandemic in 1918, Charles Lindbergh's flight across the Atlantic, and man walking on the moon. She was the head of alterations for Bonwit and Teller for over 30 years.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Fran, John, Celeste, and Steve; a niece, Helen; a nephew, Frank; a great granddaughter, Heather; and two great great grandchildren, Adam and Brittany.
Viewing will be Wednesday 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Earle Funeral Home, 122 W. Church St., Blackwood. Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m., St. Stanislaus Church, 242 Fitzwater St., Philadelphia, PA. Interment, Holy Cross cemetery, Yeadon, PA.

MILLER, WILLARD I., 83 - of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on Saturday, May 8th. Born in Shamokin, PA, he was a resident of Brigantine for 43 years.
"Doc" was employed by Wheaton Plastics in Mays Landing, for more than 40 years. After retiring, he operated his own landscaping business in Brigantine. He was an avid tennis player all of his life and volunteered as a girls tennis coach at Holy Spirit High School for over 15 years. Additionally, he was a passionate gem and mineral collector.
He is predeceased by two sons, Gregory and Alan. Surviving are his wife, Marie and daughter, Marlenna Jae, both of Tucson, Arizona; son, Douglas of London, England; six grandchildren, Carol Heymann, Joseph Tharpe, Kimberly Miller, Steven Miller, John Tharpe and Victoria Roselius, as well as nine great grandchildren.
The family invites friends to join them for a Memorial Service on Tuesday, the 22nd of June, 2004. The Service will begin at 7:00 pm at the Community Presbyterian Church of Brigantine, 1501 W. Brigantine Avenue, Brigantine.

WATSON, MARGARET, 83 - of Galloway Township, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at Atlantic City Medical Center. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children: Colon Watson of Burlington County, and Jean Evans and her husband, John of Galloway. Also surviving are her grandchildren, John Watson, Colon Watson, Jimmy Watson, Amy Evans, and Tommy Evans. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 E. Great Creek Rd., Galloway Township, (609-641-0001), where her viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m.

NERONE, BENJAMIN M. 75 - of Wildwood and FL., formerly of Bellmawr. Beloved husband of Carmella R. (nee Iaconelli). Devoted father of Mark (Catherine), Frank (Terri-Sue), Michael (Laura) and Christopher (Lynne). Dear brother of Helen Brigandi (Sam). Proud grandfather of 7 and great grandfather of 3. Beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews. Mr. Nerone loved the beach and music and was an avid fisherman and golfer. He was the owner and founder of Nerone Construction Corp. where he worked for 50 years.
Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing Tuesday eve from 7 to 9 PM and Wednesday morning from 8:15 to 9:15 AM at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. BARILE, HOWARD G. 48 - of North Ft. Myers, FL, died suddenly on Thursday in the Lee Memorial Hospital.
Howard was born and raised in Vineland and had resided in FL since 1989. He was the son of the late Ralph Barile and the husband of the late Rose (Brago). He was also predeceased by his brother, Ernie and a sister Mary Ann Barile-Weber. Howard was employed as a construction worker while living in FL.
He is survived by his son: Luke, Vld., Mother: Anne Fish (Flemming), Vld., one sister: Edie Wagner, Egg Harbor, three brothers: Ralph Barile, Minotola, John Barile, Vld., Samuel Barile, Beesly's Point, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and interment will be private and under the direction of the Pancoast Funeral Home, Vld. For those who wish memorial contributions may be made to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, 1233 20th St., N.W., suite 402, Washington, D.C., 20036.

DUBERSON, MARGARET K., 87 - of Hammonton, died Sunday at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton. Born in Camden she was a lifelong South Jersey resident. Mrs. Duberson was a retired legal secretary. She formerly worked for Lewis C. Farsetta, Esquire of Hammonton. She was a former member of the Hammonton Soroptomist Club. Mrs. Duberson is survived by her husband Samuel M. Duberson of Hammonton, one sister: Betty Sack of Clermont, FL and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday 11:00 a.m. at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton, where relatives and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Union cemetery, Mays Landing. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Presbyterian Church, 326 Bellevue Ave., Hammonton, NJ 08037.

RUIZ-FLORES, OVIL, 54 - of Hammonton, died Saturday in Hammonton. He was formerly employed at the COC Elm City Nursing Home in New Haven, CT. Mr. Ruiz-Flores is survived by his children: Ovil Ruiz, Jr.; Chanirca Ruiz; his brothers and sisters: Henot Ruiz; Obot Ruiz; Hilda Ruiz and Elsie Ruiz. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday 9:30 a.m. in St. Martin De Porres RC Church, N. Egg Harbor Rd., Hammonton. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre cemetery. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday evening 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday 8:30 a.m. at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton.

KELLEY, DOROTHY E. (Barnell) 81 - of Hammonton, died Sunday, June 20, 2004, at W.B. Kessler Hospital, Hammonton. Born in Little Falls, NY, she was an area resident 43 years. She was a registered nurse and after her retirement as nurse, worked on the AC Expressway as a toll collector for five years. She was a member and past Grand Regent of Catholic Daughters of America, Court Queen of Apostles #1680 of Hammonton. Mrs. Kelley reorganized the Girl Scout Troop of Hammonton in 1962 and served as its leader for many years. Many of the young female local leaders were members of her troop at one time. She was involved in many civic efforts: distribution of holiday food baskets, the Hammonton Outreach Center, St. Joseph Church and St. Joseph School. Surviving is her husband Eugene, two sons, John (Kathleen) and George all of Hammonton, two daughters, Regina Kelley of Hammonton, and Myra Kapoulas (George) of Moraga, CA, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Wednesday evening after 6:30 p.m. and Thursday after 8:30 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. Third St., Hammonton. PETERSON, JANICE R., 70 - of Milton, DE, died on Sunday, June 20th in New Gretna. She was a bartender for the Rustic Inn, New Gretna. She was a full time volunteer for Cerebral Palsy and Muscular Dystrophy Associations. She was an Assistant Campaign Manager for the Union County Republican Party in 1968 and 1972. She was born in Elizabeth, and resided in this area for over 30 years. She is survived by her sons, Devon, Milton DE, and Kim, Colorado; three grandchildren. Arrangements are by Wood Funeral Home, Tuckerton.

MASTERANGELO, JR., SAMUEL DOMINICK (SAM), 75 - of Buena Borough, died peacefully at his home on June 21, 2004. A Marine
Corps Veteran of World War II, Sam served in numerous political, social and fraternal positions in Buena Borough. He was a retired math teacher of 30 years from J.P. Cleary Middle School in the Buena Regional School District and served prior as General Manager of Melini Brothers for nine years. He was a graduate of Vineland High School in 1946 and Rider College in 1952.
He served as the Commander of the American Legion Post 270, Treasurer of Buena Borough, Treasurer of Buena Borough Republican Club, Chairman of the Buena Housing Authority, Chairman of the Buena Borough Planning Board, Member of Buena Recreation Committee and Member of Buena Municipal Utility Authority. He also served as President of the Buena Athletic Club, Vice President of the Buena Jaycees, Secretary of the Landisville Gunning Club and President of All Seasons Sportsmen Club. He served as a lector and member of the Parish Council of St. Michael's Church in Minotola.
Known to his friends as Sam Brown, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, pinochle and playing the saxophone. He was a member of the Musician Union Local 595 and played in many bands in South Jersey. He also played on the Vineland and Buena softball and bowling leagues. He also served as honorary Chairman of his daughter Laura's public relations firm, Sam Brown Inc., named after him.
He Is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years: Rose (Tamanini) Mastrangelo; daughters and sons-in-law: Patricia & Neil Ensslen, Diane and Steve Cabano, Kathy and Jeff Cyliax, Laura and John Liotta; a dear Grandpop to Catherine, Sam, Maggie, Nicholas and Matthew; aunt: Lucy (Mastrangelo) Melini, aunt: Edith 'Chippy' (Bononcini) Costa. Predeceased by his parents: Sam Sr. and Pearl (Bononcini) Mastrangelo.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. from the Church Of St. Michael, 504 West Avenue, Minotola. Interment will follow in Our Lady Of Victories cemetery, Landisville. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. at the Rone Funeral Service.

LINDNER, MARGARET REED SNYDER (nee CULLEN), 98 - of Northfield, on Saturday, June 19, 2004, in the Absecon Manor Nursing Home, Absecon. Predeceased by her mother, father, husbands and siblings - her brothers Rae, George, Donald, Richard and Bill Cullen and her sister Ella Fritsch.
Born in Philadelphia, she came to Margate at an early age and was proud that her family was among the early residents of that community. Margaret worked as a telephone operator at several resort hotels and finally at the FAA Technical Center in Pomona. She enjoyed reading, knitting and playing bingo at Saint Bernadette's in Northfield, where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law in later years. Her family was her greatest joy and she will be greatly missed by them.
She is survived by her daughter Peggy Reed Carlson and her husband Bill; two grandchildren Bill Carlson and his wife Nancy Lee, and their two children Rob of Maryland and Cindy Lee of South Plainfield, John Carlson and his wife Nancy Lynne, and their three children Erik, Kristen and Alexis Lynne of Egg Harbor Township, as well as her many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to partake in her Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Thursday, June 24, 2004 at 1PM in the Adams-Perfect Funeral Homes, Inc., 1650 New Road in Northfield.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested by the family to the Margate City Historical Society, 7 South Washington Avenue, Margate City, NJ 08402.
