GANT, ELIZABETH BARRY "Betty" 85 - died early Saturday, August 21, 2004, after a brief illness.
A native of Millville, she was a resident of Marathon, FL for 30 years.
Preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Gant of Millville, she is survived by two daughters, Ruthanne Neely and husband, Clifford, of Potomac, MD and Cathlene Dunn and husband, Thomas, of Bena (Hayes), VA; and two sons, Robert Gant of Millville; and Edward Gant and wife, Cindi of Millville; a sister, Agnes Barry Duffy of Lakeside, CA; three grandchildren, Mark Neely, Graham and Amy Gant; and two step grandchildren, Crystal and Christopher Dunn.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, Millville, on Saturday, September 18, at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Girls and Boys Town USA, P.O. Box 6000, Boys Town, NE 68010. Arrangements entrusted to Barbara Falowski Funeral & Cremation Services, 300 SW 6 Street, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida 33315.

SURACE, JANET A. (NEE FLYNN) 59 - of Vineland, passed away on Sunday morning at home where she had been under the care family & hospice. Janet was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and had resided in Vineland for 34 yrs. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence & Adelaide Saul Flynn.
Janet enjoyed being a homemaker and a full time mother. She also assisted her husband as a secretary for LaMar Exterminating Co. for many years. She had also worked for a time at the Vineland Developmental Center & P.A.F.A. ( Parents and Friends Association) She was a very active member of the Chestnut Assembly of God its Womens Ministry & the Christian Writers Society.
She is survived by her husband of 42 yrs.: Philip V. Surace, four Daughters: Lisa Borges, Maria Surace. Janet Ricci & Gabriella Surace all of VId. Four grandchildren: Kyle. Dustin & Juliana Zuccarini & Julia Faith Ricci, one sister: Lorraine Travers, Howell, one brother: Lawrence Flynn, Brooklyn, NY
Her funeral service will be conducted at 11am on Thursday in the Chestnut Assembly of God Church, 2554 E. Chestnut Ave, Vld, with entombment to follow in the Sacred Heart cemetery Mausoleum. Relatives & friends will be received on Wednesday from 2.00-4:00 pm & 7:00-9:00 pm at the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S Main Rd., Vineland, NJ and again on Thursday from 10:00-11:00am at the church For those who wish memorial contributions may be made to the Chestnut Assembly of God 2554 E. Chestnut Ave, Vineland, NJ. 08361.

OWENS, VIRGINIA, 76 - beloved wife of Michael for 54 years. Survived by six children: Virginia, Karen, Michelle, Melissa, Michael and Jennifer; nine grandchildren, Megan, Michael, Virginia, Katherine, Charles, Alex, Jay, Desiree and Amanda. Retired from Tropicana Casino in 1992. Spent the rest in Florida. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to Vista Charitable Fund, 5420 NW 33rd Ave, Suite 100, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33309.

GARCIA, PATRICIA, 35 - of Pleasantville, passed away most suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, August 27, 2004 in the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
Born in Costa Rica, she was the daughter of Sebastian Mendez of Costa Rica and Maria (Perez) Rodriguez of Pleasantville.
She was a Pit Clerk, employed by Trump's Taj Mahal Hotel and Casino Resort in Atlantic City.
In addition to her parents, Patricia is survived by two sons' Nicholas Noel and Michael Garcia, both at home in Pleasantville.
She is also survived by her devoted boyfriend Jorge Hernandez; her two brothers, Giovanni L. Perez of Hoboken and Irvin Rosario of Williamstown; and Jose Garcia, the father of her son Michael.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 3, 2004 at 10 a.m. in the Adams-Perfect Funeral Homes, Inc., 1650 New Road in Northfield, where friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday, September 2, 2004 from 7 to 9 p.m. and once again on Friday after 9 a.m.
Interment will follow in the Atlantic City cemetery in Pleasantville.

ROUNDS, CARRIE RICHARDSON - of Atlantic City, departed this life on Friday, August 27, 2004, in Atlantic City Medical Center, City Division. Mrs. Rounds was born in Pennsylvania. She was very active in the African American community. She was a member of the NAACP and the Business and Professional Women's Club of New Jersey.
Graveside services will be held 11:30 am Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at Lincoln Memorial Park, Mays Landing. Friends may call from 10 am until 11 am at the Greenige Funeral Home, 301 Absecon Blvd, Atlantic City.

RICE, WILBUR CHARLES, 51 - of Pleasantville, departed this life and went home to be with the Lord on August 25, 2004, while at his residence. Born and raised in Atlantic City, he attended the AC public schools and was employed at Bally's Casino and Hotel, at Tropicana Hotel and Casino for many years as a Slot Attendant, and upon his death he was employed at K-Mart as a Head Cashier. Wilbur served his country in the United States Army during peacetime and was a former member of The Church of God in Christ. Pre-deceased by his mother and his sister, Doris and Rhoda Rice. He leaves to mourn his passing: his son, James (Jim) McClennion, of Pleasantville; two brothers, Joseph and John (Alan) Rice, of AC; two uncles, Allen Rice, and his wife, Audrey, and Eugene Rice, all of Brooklyn, New York; three aunts, Evangelist Catherine Gale, of Pleasantville, District Elder Rhoda Ashley and her husband, Artis and Reverend Hannah Boone and her husband, George, of AC and a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and many fine friends. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Mikal's (609-344-1131) Funeral Parlor, Inc., 1033 Baltic Ave., AC. Viewing 9-11. Burial at Seaside cemetery, Palermo.

ROWE, REGINA MAE, 43 - of Absecon, departed this life and went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 27, 2004 while in the Medical Center, Mainland-Div. Born in Atlantic City, she attended the Atlantic City Public Schools where she was an A & B Honor Student. Gina was formerly employed at the Showboat Casino and Hotel, the Radisson Flagship, and the King David Care Center in the Housekeeping Dept, and was lastly employed as the Assistant Manager of Housekeeping at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino. Pre-deceased by her grandmother, Ruby Jones; she is survived by: her husband and friend for over 30 years, Michael Rowe, of Absecon; three daughters, Lubricia Michelle Deal, of Absecon, Justina Marie Deal, of AC and Roshawnda Chanel Rowe, of Absecon; two sons, Darryl Lamar Nelson and Michael Rowe, Jr., both of AC; her parents, Eugene Nathaniel and Mae E. Deal, of Mays Landing; four sisters, Florence Renee' Aikens (Barnett), of Brigantine, Gloria Deal and Frances Lisa Thompson (Johnny), all of AC and Patrice (Benjamin), of Atlanta, Georgia; five brothers, Gregory Deal (Renee'), of Galloway, Charles Deal, of AC, Sidney Deal (Tia), of Pleasantville, Harry Deal, of AC and Charles Wynn, of Pleasantville; four grandchildren; her step-father, Charles E. Giddens (Marie), of Vineland; three sisters-in-law, Robin Shamsiddeen (Tauheed), Hafeezah Abdur-Rahim (Khalid Abdur-Rahmann) and Nadirah Abdul-Jabbar (Ahmad); three brothers-in-law, Minister Adrian R. Rowe, Jr. (Rose), and Carl W. and Wayne B. Rowe; her best friend, Richetta Bradley, and a host of other loving relatives and many fine friends. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 3, 2004 at 1 p.m. at Union Baptist Temple, Pennsylvania and Drexel Aves., AC. Viewing 11am-1pm. Burial at Atlantic City cemetery. MORAN, DARLENE L., (Nee Myers), 50 - of Pleasantville, passed away September 2, 2004 at Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point. She was born in Somers Point, and graduated from Absegami High School. Darlene was a member of the South Jersey Wanderers C.B. Club and a volunteer of the Atlantic City Emergency Management, which was run by her mother, Lillian Myers.
She is survived by her three cousins: Tonya Bradford of Pleasantville, Michele Tipton of Mays Landing, and Jacqueline Willis and her husband Keith of Kentucky; her three ex-husbands: Charles Leanza, Robert Caldwell, and Kenneth Moran; and several other family members.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, 11:00a.m., at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, where friends may call from 10a.m. til the time of service. Burial will be in Zion cemetery, Egg Harbor Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Suite 1010, Rockville, MD, 20852.

LEUCI, GEORGE S., 57 - of Mays Landing, passed away Friday at his home in Mays Landing.
George was born in Atlantic City. George retired from the New Jersey Dept. of Transportation after 34 years. He had joined the Army Reserve in 1967 in the 469th Civil Engineers until 1984 when he joined the Air Force Reserve until his retirement from Military Service in 2003 as a Master Sergeant. He was a past member and past president of the Cologne Vol. Fire Co. He was also a volunteer with the Atlantic County 4H Association. He loved Antique Tractors and attending the shows.
George is survived by his wife, Patti Leuci (nee Nemsdale); his son, Anthony of Mays Landing; his parents Sebastian & Antoinette Leuci; and his goddaughter, Alicia Jones.
Friends may call Thursday, September 9, 2004 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Adams-Perfect Funeral Homes, Inc., 1650 New Road, Northfield.
Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Holy Cross cemetery, Mays Landing.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Atlantic County 4H Assoc., c/o Bill Guenther, 3050 Fernwood Ave., E.H.T., NJ 08234.

LAND, WINNIE, - of Pleasantville, died September 5, 2004 after a short illness at Shore Memorial Hospital.
Winnie operated her own beauty shop at Atlantic City for many years and was President of the Seashore NJ Association of Master Hairdressers from 1958 to 1959.
She is survived by: son & daughter-in-law: William & Pearl Land, Glassboro, grandsons: Robert & Todd Land; four great grandsons; sister: Marie Christian, Halandale, Fla., brother: Frank Wynn, Margate.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. from the Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Ave., Vineland. Interment will follow in Oak Hill cemetery, Vineland. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:00a.m. at the Rone Funeral Service, 1110 E. Chestnut Ave., Vineland.

LORENZI, FLORENCE A., 77 - of Northfield, died peacefully early Sunday morning, September 5, 2004, at Meadowview Nursing Home, following a lengthy illness.
Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Lorenzi had been an area resident for most of her life. She is the widow of the late Vincent Lorenzi. As a homemaker, Mrs. Lorenzi's life centered around her family. She is survived by her mother Clara Luzak of Northfield; children: Sandra Caucci of Linwood, Michael Lorenzi of Ship Bottom, Maryanne Lavner (Sam) of Ocean City, Carol Gitto (Toy) of Margate and Vincent Lorenzi (Mollie) of Egg Harbor Township. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and extended family member Irene Richael of Mantua.
The Funeral Mass for Mrs. Lorenzi will be Celebrated 11a.m. Thursday, September 9, 2004 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 2651 Atlantic Ave., Atlantic City. Friends may call from 10a.m. at the Church. Rite of Committal will be offered at Holy Cross cemetery, Mays Landing. Arrangements by the Gormley Funeral Home, LLC, 2706 Atlantic Ave., Atlantic City.

JOHNSON, JAMES, "JAY", 30 - of Ventnor, died on September 3, in Chicago, IL. He was born June 12, 1974.
Jay had a dry sense of humor. He loved laughing with his family, discussing history and culture, listening to music, playing guitar, reading and traveling. He loved mythology, Mystery Science Theatre 3000, The Simpsons, Saturday Night Live and the Lord of the Rings (but not the movies as much as the books.) Jay could impersonate the sound of a dishwashing soap bottle with a little soap left at the bottom and the sound of a very tired dog. He will be remembered for all these things and much more.
He was the beloved son of Betty Johnson from Ventnor and Santa Barbara and the late Wesley Johnson. His loving brothers Wes of Chicago and Steve of Los Angeles and his adoring sister Carolyn Gamble, her husband Dana and Nephew Finn of Santa Barbara will miss him very much, as will his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, September 9 at 10:30a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, Jerome and Ventnor Avenues in Margate. Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at Laurel Memorial Park, Egg Harbor Township. In lieu of gifts, contributions may be made to The Humane Society of Atlantic County.

TETER, JAMES H., 64 - of Galloway Twp., passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2004 at his residence. He was born in Clarksburg, WV, served honorably for 20 years and retired from the U.S. Navy, a building inspector for York County, VA and retired after 20 years, member of Clarksburg Masonic Lodge #155, Newport News, VA, Moose #213, member of American Legion Post #25 of Newport News, VA. He is survived by his wife Carol Voight-Teter of Galloway; his daughter, Tana Fuller and her husband, Karl of Jax, Fl., his step-children: Cary Voight of Galloway, and Mark Voight and his wife Angie of Galloway; his grandchildren: James Fuller, Mark Voight, Jr., Chris and David Whitehurst. Masonic services will be 7:00p.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2004. Viewings will be 6 to 8p.m., Wednesday and 10 to 11a.m. Thursday, September 9, 2004 at Wimberg Funeral Home, 400 Liverpool Avenue, Egg Harbor City (609-965-0357), where his Funeral Service will be 11:00a.m., Thursday. Interment will follow at Germania cemetery.

CAMPBELL, ELIZABETH L., 80 - of Cape May, died on September 5, 2004 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was a resident here since 1970. She was a retired nurses' aide for Burdette Tomlin Hospital. She was active in Lower Township Arts and Crafts. Surviving are three sons, Jack and wife Jeannie of North Cape May, Robert and wife Jackie of Villas, and Richard and wife Colleen of Grand Rapids, MI; a daughter, Jo-Ann and husband James Trunflo of Villas; a sister, Marie and husband Ernie Paulus of Villas; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, John J. on May 21, 1990, a son Edward in 2002, and a brother, Henry Kampmeier in 1996. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday at St. Raymond's Church, Bayshore & Ocean Ave., Villas, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Burial will be in Cape May County Veterans cemetery. Mass Cards would be appreciated by the family. Evoy Funeral Home.
