WILLIS, GREGORY R., 27 - of Villas, died on November 12, 2004 at Chester-Crosier Medical Center. Born in Pittsburg, Pa, he was an area residne3t since 1982. MR. Willis was a graduate from Ocean City High school and was an avid hockey fan.
Surviving are his mother, Cyndee; father and step-mother, Allen and Jacky; his brothers, Michael (Tara), Shane, Joshua; grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond L. Jones of Pittsburg, PA and Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Farina of Cape May County; and many other friends and family.
A memorial service, Wednesday, 10 am at the Sea Isle City Untied Methodist Church, J.F.K. and Park Rd., Sea Isle City. Interment: private. Arrangements by Evoy Funeral Home.

CYNOWETH, JOHN E. "JACK", 76 - of South Vineland, passed away on Monday morning at home after an extended illness. Jack was born in Vineland and was a lifelong resident of South Vineland. He was one of nine children born to the late William S. and Elmira Williams Chynoweth.
Jack was employed at the family owned service station and also owned and operated Chynoweth's Bakery in South Vineland. Jack was also employed as a school bus driver for the City of Vineland Board of Education. He was a life member of the South Vineland United Methodist Church and was a longtime member of the South Vineland Fire Co. #2 where he served as Chief for 17 years. He was a member of the Cumberland Co. Firefighters Assoc., N.J. State Firemans Exempt Assoc., N.J. State Fire Chiefs Assoc. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Jack was a 1946 graduate of Vineland High School. He loved sports, especially hockey, football and baseball. Jack was very civic minded and dedicated to community service.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Helen (Biddinger); one daughter and son in law: Helen Marie and Lee Rapetti, Upper Deerfield Twp.; one grandson: John Rapetti, Marlton; one granddaughter: Kristina Rapetti, Upper Deerfield Twp.; one sister: Jean and husband Al Varesio, S. Vineland; two brothers: Charles L. Chynoweth, S. Vineland, Robert C. and wife Ruth Ann Chynoweth, New Castle, DE; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, W. Donald, Clyde, Albert and two sisters, Marjorie Chynoweth and Dorothy Neslon.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Don Knott of the South Vineland United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. on Friday in the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Road, Vineland, with burial to follow in the Siloam cemetery, Vineland. Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Pancoast's. For those who wish memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Care of S.J., 2848 S. Delsea Dr., Vineland, NJ 08360.

ALY, ELIZABETH A., 60 - of Pleasantville, died Friday in the Atlantic City Medical Center Mainland Div., Galloway Twp.
Born in Groton, Connecticut, she was the daughter of William H. and Mary E. (Stacy) Hobbs.
She was a former resident of Ocean City and was presently a resident of Pleasantville for 10 years. She was raised in Ridley Park, PA and was a high school graduate of Norte Dame High School.
She is survived by one daughter Mary Jean Aly of Howell; her parents: William H. and Mary E. (Stacy) Hobbs; her sister: Delores Holland of E. Fallowfield, PA; her uncles: William and Gerald Stacy; three nieces and a nephew.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, November 18, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Peter's Church, 25 W. Black Horse Pike, Pleasantville. Friends may call Thursday from 10:30 until 11 a.m. prior to the funeral mass at the church. Interment will be in Holy Cross cemetery, Mays Landing.

McLAUGHLIN, REGINA M., 79 - a 45 year resident of Brigantine, passed on Saturday, November 13, 2004. Regina was born in Philadelphia and was a graduate of Hallahan High School for Girls. Regina was employed as a waitress at Copsy's and The Lagoon Restaurants and also as a Restaurant Supervisor at Resorts, The Golden Nugget and Bally's Grand Hotel Casinos. She was a member of Union Local #54, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and St. Thomas Church. Regina was very active at St. Thomas where she would help put during their Chicken BBQ and participated in the Emanuel Prayer Groups Prayer Line. Regina was a caring person who would help out anyone in need and listen to anyone who needed to talk to someone.
Regina was the beloved wife of the late John F. McLaughlin. She is survived by her children Regina Rohaus of Brigantine, Katherine M. Gatdual and her husband Daniel P. of Norfolk, VA and Deborah Cobb of Atlantic City. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two brothers and one sister. She is predeceased by her son John W. "Jay" McLaughlin.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Regina's Life Celebration Wednesday evening 7-9PM and Thursday morning 9-9:30AM at Keates-Plum Funeral Home, 3112 Brigantine Ave., Brigantine. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00AM at St. Thomas Church, 8th Street Brigantine. Interment Holy Cross cemetery, Mays Landing. SANCHEZ, NATIVIDAD, 72 - of Collings Lakes, died Sunday at Greenbriar Nursing Center in Hammonton. Born in Puerto Rico, she was a resident of Collings Lakes for 46 years. Survived by her husband: Ulise Sanchez; two daughters: Francisa Guzman (Luis) of Hammonton. Elizabeth Sanchez of Galloway Twp.; son: Alvin Sanchez of Florida; step son: Jerry Sanchez (Dottie); step daughter; Alba Sanchez, 11 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Viewing will be held Wednesday after 7:00 p.m. and Thursday after 9:00 a.m. at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, N. Third and French Streets in Hammonton. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre cemetery in Hammonton.

MAGUIRE, MARYANN (NANCY) 78 - of Galloway, died peacefully on Saturday morning, November 13, 2004 at the Atlantic City Medical Center, Mainland Division.
Born in Miami, Florida, Mrs. Maguire spent most other life in Atlantic County. She was a graduate of Holy Spirit High School, class of 1944 (on Massachusetts Avenue in Atlantic City). She retired after years of employment as a secretary for the Architectural Firms of Anderson Architects and also Steelman Architects. A quite, private and unassuming person, Mrs. Maguire enjoyed the simple things in life; swimming and boating, her family and family affairs, especially Christmas Eve, She was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword and jig-saw puzzles. Mrs. Maguire was a volunteer with the Atlantic City Medical Center at Mainland and had attained the distinction of "5000 plus" (hour) award for service.
She is predeceased by her husband Thomas, parents Albert and Catherine Buttery, brother Albert Buttery and Patsy and Eddie Maguire. Surviving her are her children; Catherine Maguire Hoopes, Connie Maguire, Bobby Maguire (Sissy) Tern Barham (Mitch) and Ann Maguire, sister Alice Leopold. Also surviving are grandchildren Jim and Lisa Hoopes, Renee and Stacy Voss, Angels, Becky and Bobby Maguire, great-grandchildren Jason and Joey Hoopes and Denee Voss.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Maguire will be offered at 10amThursday, November 18, 2004 at Laurel Memorial Park in Pomona. In memory of Mrs. Maguire, the family would appreciate donations to St. Jude's Hospital 501 St. Jude's Place Memphis, Tennessee 38105. ENDERS, ARTHUR C., 72 - of Nesco, Mullica Twp., passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, November 13, 2004. Born in Wabeno, Wisconsin he was a resident of Hammonton and Nesco the past 50 years. He retired in 1989 after 30 years from the U.S. Postal Service and was a letter carrier at the Hammonton U.S. Post Office. In his early years he was an avid sportsman in baseball and basketball. He also enjoyed and loved hunting thru out his life. Mr. Enders served his country honorably as a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. Surviving are his wife, Lois C. (nee Craig), two daughters, Loisanne Myers, Sweetwater, Patricia Mae Chaffin, Denver, Colorado; three sons, Arthur C. Jr., New Gretna, Mark C., Nesco, Jason Chaffin Enders, Brooklyn, NY; six sisters, Eleanor Goeser of Brandon, Robert Belter of Laona, Mary Lou Kuse of Wabeno, Clara Ann Matelski, of Blackwell, Marlene Van Hout of Oshkosh and Ruth McDowell of Crivitz all of Wisconsin; also four grandchildren, Arthur E. Enders III, Jesse Myers, Kira Myers & Daniel Enders; and his dog, Mouse. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at 9 p.m. at the Landolfi Funeral Home, 237 Bellevue Ave., Hammonton. Viewing from 7 p.m. Wednesday prior to services. Burial private.

MANDES, III, JOSEPH D., - of Narberth, PA, on November 13, 2004, husband of Barbara (nee Bailey-Savege), father of Lennie (Helen) Noble, Janet Miley and Annie Marie Roehm; also survived by five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, his brother Theodore J. Mandes. Funeral services willb e held on Thursday, November 18 at 11a.m. at Narberth Presbyterian Church, Grayling and Winsor Ave, Narberth. REITZ, GLADYS F. (nee Durham) 75 - of Blue Anchor, died Sunday, November 14, 2004 at her residence. Born in Camden, she was an area resident all her life. She was a member of the Grace Union United Methodist Church and also a member of the Womans Club. Surviving is her husband John; one son, Jack of Cedar Brook; one daughter, Diane at home; one brother, Louis Durham of N. Ft. Meyers, FL. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at Grace Union United Methodist Church, 131 E. Central Ave., Blue Anchor NJ 08037. Burial Greenwood cemetery. Emma was a lifelong resident of the Atlantic City area and a 1980 graduate of Atlantic County College. Dear sister of Elaine, Bernice, Helen, Gladys & Hayden Kent. Dear Mother of Vernon T. CONTE, MICHAEL J., 21 - of Weymouth Township, passed away suddenly on November 28, 2004. Michael was an Education Major and junior at Marietta College, Ohio. He was the president of the Student Senate, a McDonough Leadership scholar, a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, belonged to the College Union Board and was a Residents Assistant. Michael was a member of the Crew Team in his Freshman year. He was a 2002 graduate of Buena Regional High School, voted "friendliest" of his class. He was a peer leader, participated in Mock Trials and belonged to the Key Club, Excel Club and Academic Club. He was a saxophone player in the Marching Band and went on tour to Europe with the "Spirit of America Honor Band" in 2000. Michael's love for school started in the Weymouth Elementary School (1998 graduate) where he loved his teachers and friends. He was the guest speaker of the 2004 graduating class with his message to "Get Involved." Michael lived his life "involved." He was a member and former altar boy of St. Vincent's Parish, Mays Landing. He played piano under Mrs. Timm. Michael enjoyed the beach, Sea Isle City, and traveling. He had worked at Merrills, Crabby's , and WaWa.
Michael will be missed by his parents, Armand and Colleen Conte; maternal grandmother, Regina Fedick of Wallington; (grandfather, Walter Fedick, deceased); two aunts, Janet Mazzocca and her husband John and Karen Skola and her husband Glenn; one uncle, Walter Fedick and his wife Nancy; cousins, Cassandra, Cara, Erica, J.R., Annie, Andrew, and Patrick; paternal grandmother, Ruth Conte and her husband Al of Florida; two aunts, Barbara Sarno and her husband, Mike and Rosemary Corkin; cousins, Diana, Tommy, Kevin, Gina, and Angela. Michael loved his family, friends and especially Leah Gildea, "the love of his life."
Viewings will be held on Thursday 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, and Friday 10-11:30 am at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, 12 noon, at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Rt. 50 and 2nd St., Mays Landing. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery, Mays Landing. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Michael Conte Memorial Fund, Marietta College, 215 Fifth St., Marietta, OH 45750.

SULLENDER, MARGARET F. "MARGE" - of Egg Harbor Township, N.J. died Saturday at home after a long battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Cooper and Arline Gilbreath. Born in Beckley, WV, Marge's greatest joy in life was her family and many friends here and in Spanish Wells, Bahamas, as well as the West Coast. She was a doll collector and a miniaturist having a Victorian Dollhouse built by her husband, Charles. She had a brief career in show business as a child.
She is survived by her husband, Charles (the love of her life), her daughters'; Jean Field and her husband, Gary, Kristen Heyman and her husband, Andrew, Karen and Mark Bruckler, her son, Charles P. III, her brother in Pa., Cooper Gordon Gilbreath, Jr. and eight grandchildren, Kimberly, Douglas, Amber, Allison, Joshua, Jackie, Mark and Nickalas.
As she crosses the Rainbow Bridge, she will be met by countless friends and animals along with her mother and father.
Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, December 8, 2004 from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield, N.J. 08225. A graveside service will be held at Zion cemetery, Egg Harbor Township at 12 p.m. on Wednesday. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Humane Society or to the Habitat for Humanity in her memory.

GABRIEL, VIOLET RUTH, 84 - a long time resident of Galloway Township, passed away in Newport Beach, California on Thursday, December 2, 2004 of heart failure, while on a Thanksgiving visit to the home of her son, James. She was born on June 29, 1920 and grew up in Germania on the farm of her parents, Joseph F. and Clara M. Sahl. She graduated from Egg Harbor High School and studied at New Jersey College of Commerce. On September 12, 1942, she married Harold H. Gabriel of Pomona. After Harold's war service, the couple built a house in Pomona, where they raised their family and lived for over 50 years. Until she retired in 1995, she worked as a bookkeeper with her husband and his brothers at the family's wholesale food business, Paris Produce Company. For the past three years, she has lived in Willow Valley, a retirement community in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Faith, Country and Family directed her life's energies. A devout Christian, she was a member of Bible Presbyterian Church in Collingswood. She also worked at Emmanuel Church in Egg Harbor City and more recently at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Lancaster. An ardent patriot, she helped to found and lead the Atlantic County Chapter of the John Birch Society. A devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother, she continually focused her acts, thoughts and prayers on her family's well being. Mrs. Gabriel is survived by her brother, Joseph E. Sahl of Germania; her sons, Harold of Pawling, New York and James of Newport Beach, California and her grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathan, Jamie and Megan. The family will receive visitors at Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 E. Great Creek Road, Galloway (609) 641-0001 on Friday, December 10, 2004 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Emmanuel Church, Liverpool Avenue & White Horse Pike, Egg Harbor City on Saturday, December 11, 2004 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Germania cemetery, Galloway Township. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in her memory to The Pilgrim Academy, PO Box 322, Egg Harbor City, NJ 08215.

CHANNELL, JOSEPH E., 52 - of Williamstown, on Sunday, December 5, 2004. Arrangements are by the Farnelli Funeral Home of Williamstown.

CHARMAN, HARDY DWAYNE "Puda", 27 - of Atlantic City, departed this life on Friday, December 3, 2004, in the Atlantic City Medical Center. Born in Atlantic City, he was a lifelong resident.
Mr. Charman was employed with Jiffy Lube in Absecon. He was fun loving and always had you laughing. He is missed already by so many.
Mr. Charman was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Janice "Nanny" and David Charman, and his parental grandmother, Vera Gist.
Among those who will miss him dearly are: his mother, Jill Charman of Atlantic City; his father, Hardy Gist of Galloway; stepfather, Russell Faulkner; stepmother, Roslyn Gist; his brothers, Brandon Bolling and Lamar Cooper, both of Atlantic City; a special sister, Jillian Braithwaite of Egg Harbor Township; his paternal grandfather, Edward Gist of Pleasantville; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and many, many friends.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, December 9, 2004, in the Union Baptist Temple, Pennsylvania and Drexel Avenues, Atlantic City, where friend may call from 9 a.m. Burial will follow in Greenwood cemetery, Pleasantville. Arrangements entrusted to Greenidge Funeral Home.

DESCAR, RONALD, 43 - died Thursday, December 2, 2004 in McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC after an illness.
Ronald was born in Altoona, PA, June 14, 1961, a son of Peter Descar, Sr. and Judy Creighton Slimmer. He was a carpenter and a 1980 graduate of Marie H. Katzenbach School for the Deaf in West Trenton.
Surviving are his wife, Linda V. Descar of Dillon; daughters, Alicia D. Ortiz of KiIleen, TX and Mandy Ivins of Millville; sons, Joshua Gougher of Dillon, SC, Matt Harlon and Noah Gougher both of Longbranch; mother, Judy Slimmer of Altoona, PA; father, Peter Descar, Sr., of Bridgeton; brothers, John Descar of Hopewell, Donald Descar of Atlantic City, and Mike Descar of Bridgeton; granddaughter, DeAnna Ortiz of Chesapeake, VA; mother and father in law, Donald and Lee McGuire of Millville.
Visitation is 7-9 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2004 in Cooper Funeral Home of Dillon, SC. Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, December, 10, 2004 in the Immaculate Conception Church, 312 North Pearl St., in Bridgeton.
