Born August 23, 1927, in Cleveland, OH, daughter of Charles & Gertrude (Collins) Hoffert, wife of Henry R. She taught at Atlantic City Friends School & substituted at Pleasantville Public Schools. A musician, she was pianist at Zaberer's Restaurant. Also surviving: sons, Henry R., Jr., Mays Landing; James R., Egg Harbor Township; grandsons, Matthew, Vincent, Jay and John.
Viewing: Thursday, January 6, 1-2 p.m. Funeral: Thursday, January 6, 2 p.m. Good Funeral Home, Reamstown. Burial: Center Union cemetery.

PRICE, CHARLES (BOZY), 71 - died Saturday, January 1, 2005 in Pompano Beach, FL.
He was born on June 14, 1933 in Pleasantville.
He lived in Linwood before moving to Pompano Beach where he worked for the City of Pompano Beach as an Engineering Inspector.
After he had graduated from Pleasantville High School he joined the Navy Sea Bee's in the early 1950's.
He is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Virginia Price. Charles is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Linwood; his brother, Ronald and his wife, Charlene of FL; his beloved children: son, Charles and his wife, Virginia of Egg Harbor Township; his daughters, Lori English of Pottstown, PA, Jody Dix of Egg Harbor Township, and Tracy Pacentrilli and husband, Dennis of Mays Landing; and his grandchildren: Matt (Tara), Ryan, Rachael, and Jimmy Dix, Amy & Ian English, Ginger Price and great granddaughter, Dakoda Dix.
Friends may call Friday, January 7, 2005 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Adams-Perfect Funeral Homes, Inc., 1650 New Road, Northfield.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be held in Mt. Calvary cemetery, Egg Harbor Township.

LAW, ESTHER DAVIS - was born on March 20, 1925, in Philadelphia, PA to Frank and Willie Davis. She went home to be with the Lord on December 29, 2004 after a long illness.
She attended Philadelphia Public Schools. After moving to Atlantic City at a young age, she worked as a housekeeper for many years as well as a presser at Formica Cleaners and a Nurse's Aid at Seashore Gardens. After retiring, she volunteered at ACMC AtlantiCare Kids.
Esther joined Greater Holy Trinity Baptist Church under the pastoralship of Reverend John J. Walters. She was a member of the Pastor's Aid Club, the Ushers' Board, and the Missionary Society. Esther was a very generous and giving person. She loved the Lord, she was dedicated to her church, and she adored her family.
She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Willie Davis, a sister Ruth Davis, and a nephew, Richard Nottingham. She is survived by a loving daughter, Francena M. Cason and a son-in-law Derek K. Cason of Atlantic City, four granddaughters and one grandson: Vernique M. Cason-Anderson and her husband, Carlo Anderson of Capital Heights, MD, Kayala D. Freeman of Trenton, Jasmine L. Cason and Valerie N. Cason of Atlantic City and Derek S. Cason of Newfield, six great-grandchildren, Jahyrah B. Davis, Jalend D. Anderson, Quentin, Qyshon, and Arianna Williams and a host of extended family and close friends.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 6, 2005, at Greater Holy Trinity Baptist Church, 1715 Rev. J.J. Walters Avenue, Atlantic City, where friends may call from 9 a.m. Burial in the Atlantic City cemetery, Pleasantville. Arrangements entrusted to Greenidge Funeral Home, Atlantic City.

SCOLERI, MARIE (RODIO), 89 - of Hammonton, wife of the late Anthony Fiorato and the late Pete Scoleri, died Friday at Heritage Assisted Living, Hammonton. Born in Rosedale, she was an area resident most of her life. She resided in Cape May for more than 20 years where she was co-owner of Pete's Deli. Surviving is one son, Anthony (Cathy) of Glenview IL; three daughters, Concetta Lawley, Hammonton, Amelia (Kevin) Thorton, Cape May, and Regina Fenstermaker of Davenport FL; two sisters, Jennie Novella of Rosedale and Louise Boyer of Hammonton; her sister-in-law, Mary Rodio of Rosedale; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Tuesday after 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday after 11:30 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. Third St., Hammonton. Mass of Christian Burial 1:30 p.m. St. Martin de Porres Church, S. Egg Harbor Rd. Hammonton. Interment Greenmount cemetery, Hammonton. Donations to Hammonton Rescue Squad, 300 S. GALLAGHER, CAROLINE (NANNY), 62 - of Egg Harbor Township, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2005 at Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point. In February, 2003 she was diagnosed with lung cancer and was battling the unfortunate illness for the last two years. She was born in Atlantic City and lived in Pleasantville most of her life. She was a factory worker for a small portion of her life; she also worked in a casino and loved to clean houses. She enjoyed shopping, buying gifts for everyone, loved to pull handles at Bally's Casino (pennies being her favorite), loved bingo, Nintendo, jelly beans, and taking care of her grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter, Victoria Gaskill of Egg Harbor Twp., and a son and daughter-in-law Robert and Debbie Hirschman of Port Norris. She has eleven grandchildren: Jennifer, Kim, Susan, Bobby, Johnny, Matthew, Joey, Destiney, Desiree, Christian, and Carolynn; ten brothers and sisters; and a very special niece, Karen Verducci of Egg Harbor Twp.; and several other nieces and nephews. She will be missed dearly.
Services will be held on Wednesday, 11 a.m., at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, where friends may call one hour prior. Burial will be in Union cemetery, Mays Landing.

WEBSTER, MICHAEL JOSEPH, 44 - of Brick, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2004.
Surviving are his son, Michael, two sisters, Roberta Low and Joann Cleary, and two brothers, Joseph Webster and Charles Webster.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, January 6, at 11 a.m. with a calling time from 10 a.m. at the St. Ann's Church, 2900 Atlantic Ave., Wildwood Memorials in his name are asked to be made to The Deborah Hospital Foundation, PO Box 820, Browns Mills, N.J. 08015-0820.

DAHLSTEDT, RICHARD "DICK", 88 - passed away peacefully Thursday, December 30, 2004. He was a self-employed antiques dealer, printer, and long-time owner of "The Artic", which featured collectibles and art glass. Prior to operating his store, Mr. Dahlstedt was employed as a writer and advertising manager at the Beach Haven Times.
Mr. Dahlstedt served honorably as a corporal in the Air Corps 376th Heavy Bombardment Group during World War II. He spent nearly three years in Africa and Italy, finishing his military service as a war correspondent for the Stars and Stripes. He also served as president of his Air Force Squadron.
Before moving to Long Beach Island in 1968, Mr. Dahlstedt worked as an advertising executive for the Pittsburgh Equitable Gas Co, and as a sales representative for the Hamilton. Beach Co. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon in 1939 with a degree in printing and design.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marden Dahlstedt, author of several children's books. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Richard Irwin, of Barnegat; two grandchildren, Rick and Robert Irwin, and three great-grandchildren that he dearly loved, Andrew, Joshua and Emily Irwin, and many dear friends.
A memorial gathering will be held at Thos Shinn Funeral Home in Manahawkin on Friday, January 7, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Air Force Museum Foundation, PO Box 33624, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio 45433.

SULLIVAN, BERNICE, 70 - of Hammonton, died Sunday, January 2, 2005. Born in Newark, she was an area resident two years. Surviving is her daughter Linda Korski of California, her sister Charlotte Stumfels of Gloucester City. Services private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. Third St., Hammonton.

SOOY, VIRGINIA MAE (WHILDEN), 88 - of Millville, died Sunday afternoon at the Rainbow Nursing Center in Pittsgrove Twp. after a brief illness. She was born in Millville, and she was a life long Millville resident. She graduated from Millville High School, Class of 1934. She attended beautician school. She was a seamstress and worked for Model Blouse Co. for many years. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church of Millville. She enjoyed playing cards, knitting, going to the casinos, spending time with her grandchildren, and cheering for the Phillies. She is survived by two sons, Tuck Sooy of Millville, with whom she resided and James L. Sooy of Millville; six grandchildren, Tracey Sooy-DeRock and George Sooy, both of Millville, Brian and Dennis Tirelli and Chris Sooy, all of Vineland, Erich Sooy of Newfield; two great grandchildren, Chelsea DeRock and Alexander Shuster; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband James Sooy Jr. and one daughter Arleen Tirelli. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad Street, Millville. There will be a viewing on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant cemetery, Millville.

CAUCCI, ROBERT S., 60 - of Mays Landing, was welcomed into heaven on Monday, January 3, 2005 at home with his family by his side. Born in Hammonton, he lived in Mays Landing 51 years. He was owner of Tom's Garden & Christmas World in Mays Landing, where he joyfully worked all his entire life alongside his parents, siblings, wife and children. Son of the late Tom & Helen Caucci, he is survived by his wife Diane (Ashton) Caucci; son, Robert A. & daughter, Gabrielle, both at home; three brothers, Thomas Jr. of Laureldale, Herman (Sandy) of Linwood, and Charles (Rosemary) of Mays Landing; two sisters, Rita A. (Ralph) Codario of Egg Harbor Township, and Rosemary (Gary) Fenwick of Absecon; mother in law Barbara Ashton of Blackwood; and sister-in-law, Linda (Rick) Palma) of Blackwood; along with many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Everyone who knew Bobby felt blessed just for having known him. He was a simple man with simple joys. He loved animals, plants, the sun on his face, and the sound of the sea. He exemplified what "Unconditional love" is. He always put others before himself and always saw the best in people. He was small in stature, but had a heart as large as life itself. He was truly the best son, brother, friends, husband, and father. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday 9:00 a.m. at Praise Tabernacle, 2235 Ocean Heights Ave., Egg Harbor Township. Services 12:00 p.m. at the church. LONG, REV. JOHN Mc CLINTOCK, 94 - of South Seaville, retired United Methodist Minister, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2005. Born in Philadelphia PA to the late William R. and Nellie (McClintock) Long, he moved here 27 years ago when he retired. He had summered here since 1962 in the house that he built. He served many churches including Dividing Creek United Methodist Church, Millville 2nd United Methodist Church, and Pleasantville Salem United Methodist Church. After retiring, he served at North Wildwood United Methodist Church, South Seaville United Methodist Church. Swainton Asbury Methodist Church, and Dias Creek United Methodist Church.
Rev. Long is survived by his wife, Eleanor D. Long, his son, Kenneth Long of Port Townsend, WA; his daughter, Karen Long of Columbia. SC; six grandchildren; and two great granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his son, John Long, Jr. in 1976.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2005 at 11:00 a.m., at the South Seaville United Methodist Church. 115 Corson Tavern Road, South Seaville where friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Interment is private. O'NEILL, SUSAN F., 46 - of Margate died unexpectedly at home on Friday, February 4, 2005. Susan was born in Atlantic City and grew up in Margate. She was a 1976 graduate of Holy Spirit High School and graduated from Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL. Susan had a long career in the gaming industry working at several different casinos. At the time of her death. Susan worked at Trump Plaza where she was a Dealer/Dual Rate Supervisor. Susan is survived by her parents, William and Regina O'Neill of Margate; her brothers, Raymond (Ann) and William O'Neill of Northfield, and David O'Neill of Ventnor; her sister, Laura (Jerry) Fox of Somers Point; her cousin, Margaret Flanagan of Egg Harbor Township; her nephews, William, Michael and Bryan O'Neill and her nieces, Kerrin O'Neill and Katherine Johnson as well as many other relatives who loved her. Susan loved living at the shore and was happiest sunning on the beach while reading a good book. She was a strong supporter of animal rights and had a special place in her heart for all dogs, particularly Dobermans. Her funeral service and internment will be private at Laurel Memorial cemetery in Cardiff. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Humane Society of Atlantic County, 1401 Absecon Blvd., Atlantic City NJ 08401 or to a charity of choice. (George H. WALSH, JR., RICHARD T., 64 - of Little Egg Harbor, died February 4, 2005 at his residence. Mr. Walsh was born in West Orange and lived in Lake Shawnee before moving to Little Egg Harbor. He was a Service Manager for Joyce Honda Motors in Denville and had been employed there for 20 years before his retirement in 1998. Mr. Walsh was a veteran of the US Navy as well as a member of the Mica Club of Little Egg Harbor & VFW of Dover. He was also a member of American Legion, Post #493 of Lake Hopatcong and a member of the Moose Lodge of Dover and a Volunteer Fireman for Jefferson Township Fire Co. #2. Mr. Walsh was also a manager for the Youth Hockey League of Jefferson Township. He is survived by his beloved wife Beatrice "Ki Ki" nee Vlasis Walsh. His son and daughter-in-law: Richard & Nicole of Dallas, Texas. He is also survived by his brother Robert of Florida. A funeral service will be held at Maxwell Funeral Home, 160 Mathistown Rd., Little Egg Harbor on Friday, February 11th at 11 a.m. Interment will be private. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The family requests donations be made to Holy Redeemer Hospice, 1228 Rt. 37 W. Toms River, NJ 08755.

ORTIZ, LUIS ANTONIO, 61 - of Ventnor, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 3, 2005 at the Mainland Manor, Pleasantville. Complete funeral arrangements will appear in the Wednesday edition of the Press. Arrangements by the Gormley Funeral Home LLC, 2706 Atlantic Avenue, AC.
