SCHAFFER, SHEILA - of West Berlin, on April 11, 2005 at the age of 39. Beloved daughter of Elizabeth Schaffer of West Berlin and Matthew Schaffer of TN. Devoted sister of Matthew Schaffer of Seattle, WA, Michael Schaffer of Vineland and Edward Schaffer of Salt Lake City, UT.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Thursday eve. 8:30PM at the Giosa Funeral Home, 171 Haddon Avenue, West Berlin, where her viewing will be from 6:30 to 8:30PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Sheila's memory to Lighthouse Foundation of NJ, 1040 N. Kings Highway, Suite 100, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.

CONNOR, MARYLAND, "SCHIKE" 65 - of Atlantic City, departed this life on Monday, April 11, 2005, at Our Lady's Residence Convalescent Center. Mr. Connor was born in Iron Station, NC. He has been an Atlantic City resident for over 12 years. Mr. Connor was a decorated war veteran. While serving two tours of duty in Vietnam with the U.S. Marine Corp, he received the Presidential Unit Citation, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry, and he was twice awarded the Purple Heart.
Surviving are his son, Britt Emanuel of Jacksonville, FL; his mother, Sarah Holland of Atlantic City; his sister, Deenie Leary and her husband, Joe of Pleasantville; three grandchildren, Tristen, Chase and Essie Emanuel; his niece, Tiffany Godfrey and her husband, Dexter of Hampton, VA; a special friend, Betty Freeman of Atlantic City.
Services will be held 11 AM Thursday, April 14, 2005, at Greenidge Funeral Home, 301 Absecon Blvd, Atlantic City, where friends may call from 9 AM. Burial will be in Atlantic County Veterans cemetery, Estell Manor.

NELSON, FRANK W., 90 - of Deltona, Fla. and formerly of the Inlet Section in Atlantic City, died Saturday, April 9, 2005 in Florida. He was born in Philadelphia and lived most of his life in Atlantic City until he was displaced by fire and had to move to Florida two years ago. He worked for Abbot Dairies, Bamburgers Garage and Peters Steel Co. during his life. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in WWII. He was a member of St. Monica's R.C. Church in Atl. City. He was predeceased by his loving wife Katherine Bell Nelson in July of 2004. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 14, 2005 at 10:00 AM at St. Monica's R.C. Church in Atl. City with burial to follow in Laurel Memorial Park, Egg Harbor Twsp. Friends may visit on Thursday from 9:30 until 10:00 AM at the Church. Donations in his memory may be made to the Hospice Organization of one's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Parsels Funeral Home, Absecon.

STERCHELE, MARY (Simoni), 98 - of Vineland, passed away at Bishop McCarthy Residence on Monday, April 11, 2005.
Mrs. Sterchele was born in Verona, Italy and came to the United States when she was nine months old. Mary was the oldest of nine children born to the late Peter & Lucy Simoni. She returned to Italy to make her First Holy Communion when she was seven years old and returned to Leechburg, PA where she lived until she moved to Vineland in 1924. In 1929 she married Candido P. Sterchele who predeceased her in 1974. Mrs. Sterchele retired from Kimble Glass Company in 1963. She was a former member of Sacred Heart Church and P.T.A. and St. Francis of Assisi Church in Vineland.
Mary will be remembered by many for crocheting beautiful afghans and slippers and also for her delicious pizzelles which she enjoyed giving for all occasions. Mary enjoyed playing Bingo, was a wonderful Italian cook and her greatest joy was her family.
She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Paul F. & Stella Sterchele, of Vineland, her daughter, Gloria Smith, of Cape May Court House, grandson & his wife, Dr. Paul F. & Jackie Sterchele Jr., grandson, Daniel J. Sterchele, grandson & his wife, Michael R. & Andrea Smith, grandson & his wife, Dennis & Suzanne Smith, granddaughter, Dr. Melanie Dickinson, great-grandson, Miles Dennis Smith, sister, Elma Bagliani, of Vineland, & many nieces & nephews.
Predeceased by her husband Candido P. Sterchele in 1974, her brothers Angelo, Caesar & Victor Simoni, her sisters Louise Sterchele & Rena Lovisone, and two infant siblings.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 23 W. Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, with Funeral Liturgy to follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart cemetery.
Arrangements are under the supervision of Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland.

SCHAEFFER, DOROTHY, 89 - of West Creek, passes away Friday, April 8, 2005 at Arcadia Nursing Home, Little Egg Harbor.
She was predeceased by her brother Harold Sheridan.
She is survived by her husband Charles T. Schaeffer, her sons Robert and wife Louise Schaeffer of Little Egg Harbor and Charles and wife Carol Schaeffer of Cincinnati, OH, and a daughter Dorothy and husband Doug Nixon of Easton, PA. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Services were private and under the care of Maxwell Funeral Home, Manahawkin.

McCOY, BYRON LEROY, 42 - of Sewaren, formerly of Atlantic City, departed this earthly life and went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 7, 2005, after a brief illness. He was born on December 16, 1962, in Atlantic City to Germaine McCoy and the late Leroy McCoy. Byron graduated from A.C.H.S. in 1981. As a child, he attended Venice Park Methodist Church of Atlantic City. He was a current member of Agape Ministries of Rahway. He was employed as a Maintenance Supervisor for the Y.M.C.A. of New Brunswick. Byron was predeceased by his father, Leroy McCoy and a sister, Millicent McCoy. He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Germaine McCoy of Atlantic City; a loving wife, Colleen (nee Pratt) McCoy of Sewaren; a son, Byron Leroy Bullock of Atlantic City; two daughters, Serena Pratt and Millicent McCoy, both of Sewaren; brothers, Raymond (Delois) McCoy of DE, Charles (Annetta) Holmes of Williamstown, Reverend Eric (Sherree) McCoy of Pleasantville, and Darryl McCoy of Atlantic City; a sister, Marcia Porter of Galloway; a brother-in-law, Prince Bannister of Sewaren; a host of nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2005, in the Agape Ministries, 501 E. Hazelwood Avenue, Rahway. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery, Linden. (732) 680-0116.

ORFANELLI, INCORONATA "ANNA", 93- of Ocean City, on April 9,2005, in her ninety-third year, beloved Mother, Grandmother, sister and friend was called home.
She will be greatly missed by her large and loving family including daughters Lee Holmgren, Phyllis Tilghman and son Alexander. She was Nanny to her fourteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
In her beautiful life, she was blessed with many true friends. She was an excellent cook and her garden was the envy of many. In addition, she was an avid pinochle player and enjoyed an occasional visit to the casino.
She was a resident of Ocean City for seventy-five years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alesandro and a sister Antonet Ferrier.
Friends may call Wednesday evening from Seven until eight o'clock at The Godfrey Funeral Home, 809 Central Avenue, Ocean City, NJ.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday morning at Ten O'clock from St. Augustine's R. C. Church, 13th Street at Wesley Avenue, Ocean City, NJ. Burial will follow Mass in Seaside cemetery. Palermo, NJ.
The Family suggests those who desire send memorial contribution to St. Augustine's Church, Ocean City, NJ 08226.

NEVROS, JOHN A., 92 - of Silver Spring, MD, formerly of Wildwood, died on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at Montgomery General Hospital in Olney, MD. He was born in Pennsylvania to the late Andrew and Helen (Dalakos) Nevros. He was a graduate of Wildwood High School. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and worked as an attorney for the IRS.
He is survived by his brother, Gus Nevros of Strongsville, OH and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2005 at 12:00 p.m. at the Baptist cemetery, Cape May Court House.

RACO, MARIE (NEE, JULIANA) - of Atco, on April 8, 2005. Wife of the late Dominic. Survived by daughter, Ann Giovenco (John). Grandmother of Marie Rice (Jason), John Giovenco (Andrea), Lisa Monk (Michael), Norman Campli (Jerri), Michael Campli (Natale). Also, seven great grandchildren. CHAMPION, REV. OLIVER B., 83 - of Ft. Meyers, FL, passed away on Saturday at his home.
Rev. Champion was born on June 1, 1921 in Belleplain. He was raised in Belleplain and later resided in Delmont and Millville before relocating to Estero, FL in 1981.
Before retiring, Rev. Champion was employed as a Plant Shift Supervisor at the West Company in Millville. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II. Rev. Champion was a charter member of the Evangelistic Tabernacle Church, a charter member of the Belleplain Ambulance Squad, a charter member of the Belleplain Fire Company, and a charter member of the Belleplain V.F.W. Rev. Champion preached for 38 years and pastored at the Evangelical Tabernacle Church in Belleplain for over 30 years. He was an active member of the Christian Missionary Alliance in Ft. Meyers, FL. Rev. Champion loved God, Country, and Family.
Rev. Champion was the son of the late Leland and Rayette Champion; husband of the late Helen E. (Harris) who died in 1990; father of the late Rayette Carla Champion; brother of the late Leland Champion, Jr. and Robert Champion; and grandfather of the late John Oliver Kern.
Rev. Champion is survived by: two daughters: June Helen and Dr. Joseph Jones of Ft. Meyers, FL; Sharon Ann Champion Kruck, of Tuckahoe, eight grandchildren: Alvin Kern, III., Kimberly Snow, Scott Kern, Joseph Jones III., April Bowen, Amanda Kruck, and Sherri Weber; 13 great-grandchildren: Tisheena, John, Peter, Kevin, Ethan, Joshua, Jack, Scott, Lauren, Makala, Cassie, Kyle, and Nick; three brothers: Thomas Champion of Belleplain, Paul Champion of Belleplain, Walter Champion of Belleplain; Stepmother: Elena Champion of Cape May Court House.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday in the Hoffman Funeral Home, 643 Main Street, Leesburg, where relatives and friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Head of the River cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Park Alliance Church, 18501 Miami Blvd, Ft. Meyers, FL 33912

TOSCANO, FLORENCE 87 - of Orange, NJ, passed away peacefully on April 4/05 at the Pope John Paul 2nd Nursing Home in Orange, NJ.
She worked for the Employment Agency in Atlantic City for many years until retirement. She was a faithful member of St. Michael's Church and also The Mary Help of Christian Society. She was skilled with her hands and created many beautiful things that she made for her family. She made friends wherever she went and was loved by all.
She was predeceased by her husband Anthony, mother and father, brothers Romeo, Louis and Americo. She is survived by her loving sister Christine, brother Nicholas and Joseph, her sister-in-law Sally & Ray Marotta, of Margate, Grace Cerrone of Philadelphia and brother-in-law Salvatore & Mary Toscano of Spokane, Washington. And many nieces & nephews.
A memorial mass will be said by her nephew Michael Marotta, C.R.M. in the near future.
Memorial contributions may be made t St. Michael Church, 10 North Mississippi Ave., Atlantic City, NJ.

CAMPIONE, GEORGE N., SR. 73 - of Hammonton, died Saturday in Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital. Mr. Campione was a self-employed farmer. He was also a professional trumpet player, and a life member of the Local 575 American Federation of Musicians. He was also a Charter member of the Hammonton Bicentennial Band. Mr. Campione loved his music and working in his garden.
He is survived by his wife: Antoinette L. (nee Universe) Campione; one daughter: Teresa Ann DelRossi and her husband Bill; two sons: George N. Campione, Jr.; Michael A. Campione, Sr. all of Hammonton; two brothers: Albert Campione of Breezewood, PA, Richard Campione of Elm; two sisters: Lucy Milazzo and Theresa Bianchini both of Hammonton; four grandchildren: Rachel Mangano, April & Ron Cushinotto, Melissa Campione; Michael A. Campione, Jr; one great grandchild: Regina Mangano.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Anthony of Padua RC Church, Route 206, Hammonton. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre cemetery. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday morning 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St., Hammonton. Donations may be made to the Kessler Memorial Hospital ER Fund, 11 S. Third St., Hammonton, N.J. 08037 or to the Hammonton Rescue Squad, 300 S. Egg Harbor Rd., Hammonton.

HAND, DONALD, 72 - of Galloway Twp., passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2005 at his home with his family present. He was born in New York, and has lived in Galloway Township since he was nine years of age. He was a truck driver by trade. He served his country honorably during the Korean War as a member of the U.S. Marines. Mr. Hand was a former member of the Galloway Twp. American Legion. He also served his community as a life-member of Bayview Vol. Fire Co., since 1959. He was a member of Conovertown Church.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Doretta Hand of Galloway; his children, Donald Hand, Jr. (Betsy) of Manahawkin, and Denise Johnson (Michael) 0f Middletown, DE; his grandchildren, Daniella Hand, Alyssa Hand, Gabrielle Caponigro, Anthony Caponigro, Colleen Johnson, and Renee Johnson; his brothers, Benjamin Hand of Pomona, Wm. Thomas Hand (Ruth) of Galloway, Phillip Hand of EHT, and Andrew Hand of Miami, FL; also surviving are his many friends and neighbors.
His viewings will be 6 to 8 pm, Wednesday, April 13, 2005 and 10 to 11 am, Thursday, April 14, 2005 at Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 E. Great Creek Rd., Galloway Twp. (609-641-0001), where his funeral service will be at 11:00 am, April 14, 2005. Interment will follow at Laurel Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Bayview Vol. Fire Co., P.O. Box 546, Absecon, NJ 08201.
