HIERBAUM, JOAN R., 78 - formerly of Margate, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2005 at home in Melbourne, FL.
She was born in Freehold and moved to Margate where she met her husband Felix F. Hierbaum, Jr. while working for NAFEC. She was a member of the NAFEC Woman's Club.
Mrs. Hierbaum retired to Brevard County in 1983. She enjoyed shopping, miniatures, playing Canasta every Wednesday, and visiting with her grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband, Felix and her brother, Donald Riopel; survived by her brother, Francis (Rip) Riopel of NJ; daughters, Donna H. Vanaselja (Gordon) and Diana H. Young (David) of FL; stepsons, Mark S. Hierbaum (Marsha) of CA, and Randy P. Hierbaum of FL; and seven grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to St John the Evangelist Catholic Church Building Fund, 7380 Murrell Rd, Suite 104, Melbourne, FL 32940 or to the Cancer Recovery Foundation of America, PO Box 18579, West Palm Beach, FL 33416-8579.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 14th, at Faith Viera Lutheran Church in Viera, FL. Burial followed at Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge, FL.

VASSALLO, GLORIA A. (BASSETTI) 67 - of Vineland, died peacefully on Saturday, April 23, 2005, with her family at her side, after a courageous five-year battle with ovarian cancer.
Mrs. Vassallo was a lifelong resident of Vineland. She attended Vineland High School and was previously employed in the Vineland Public School system. Mrs. Vassallo's greatest accomplishment was being an adoring wife and mother, and devoted grandmother to her "lovebugs," Deandra and Gabrielle.
Mrs. Vassallo was predeceased by her father and mother, Joseph and Mary Bassetti, brothers John Bassetti, James Bassetti and wife Dolores, Frank Bassetti and wife Angelina, all of Vineland, sister Sarah DiMatteo of Malaga, brothers-in-law Joseph "Bucky" Bocchetti of Vineland and Carmen Vassallo of Egg Harbor Twp. and sister-in-law Rose Vassallo of Hammonton.
Mrs. Vassallo is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Dominick, twin daughters Donna (John Schlaner) of Egg Harbor Twp. and Diane (Thomas) Leone of Vineland, twin granddaughters Deandra and Gabrielle Leone and step-grandson Jack Schlaner. Mrs. Vassallo is also survived by brothers Joseph (Beatrice) Bassetti of Minotola and Anthony (Elizabeth) Bassetti of Vineland, sisters Josephine Bocchetti and Sue (Michael) Forcinito, both of Vineland and Julia Salera of Las Vegas, NV, brother Medio (Delores) Bassetti of Vineland and sister Tillie (John) Propheita of Edgewater, FL, and sister-in-law Nellie Bassetti of Minotola, brother-in-law Bill DiMatteo of Malaga, sister-in-law Minnie (Richard) Gilliam, brothers-in-law Nick Vassallo of Hammonton and Ray (Judy) Vassallo of Buena Vista Twp., sister-in-law Eleanor (Joseph) Piedmont of Vineland and brother-in-law George (June) Vassallo of Buena Vista Twp. and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at 11:30am at Padre Pio Parish, 4680 Dante Ave., East Vineland, NJ. Entombment will follow in Sacred Heart cemetery Mausoleum. Friends will be received on Wednesday morning from 8:30am to 11:30am at the Parish. Arrangements are under the direction of DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 1019 E. Landis Ave., Vineland.
Memorial contributions in Mrs. Vassallo's name may be made to Bishop McCarthy Residence, 1045 E. Chestnut Ave., Vineland, NJ 08360 or to Gilda's Club South Jersey, 300 Shore Road, Linwood, NJ 08221.

LOTECKIE, RITA, 66 - of St. Cloud, FL and formerly of Mullica Township, died Saturday at Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia. Mrs. Loteckie was predeceased by her husband, Walter Loteckie, Jr. She is survived by two sons, Robert Loteckie of Croydon, PA, Walter Loteckie and his wife, Vicki of Erial; one daughter, Linda Fichetola and her husband, Ronnie of Folsom; her mother, Anna May Dunkel of Croydon, PA; one brother, Charles Dunkel of Texas City, TX. She is also survived by eight grandchildren.
Viewing will be held Wednesday 7:00-8:00 pm at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third Street in Hammonton, where funeral services will be held at 8:00 pm. Burial will be at a later date at St. Cloud cemetery in FL.

SACCHINELLI, DOMINIC, J., 76 - of Absecon, died suddenly on Sunday May 1st, 2005. Born in Egg Harbor Township, Dominic was a Boy Scout Leader for many years. He was a graduate of Pleasantville High School and received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Richard Stockton Collage.
Dominic proudly served in the US Navy for four years as a Damage Control Man and a Fire Fighting Instructor. He retired from Atlantic City Electric Co. after 34 1/2 years, where he was a Supervisor of the Drafting Department. Dominic was a long term Credit Union Committees and Board Member.
He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Clara (Alaimo), his daughter Patricia Butterhof and husband Paul of Egg Harbor City and grandchildren Richard and Jennifer. Also survived by his brother Jerry of Nashville, TN, two sisters Mary Pennington of Mays Landing, Teresa LaFon of Hometown, AL. and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, May 6,10am at the Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Absecon. Viewings will be held Thursday evening 6-8pm at the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, 1707 New Rd.. Linwood, and 8:30 to 10am Friday at the Church. Entombment Holy Cross cemetery, Mays Landing.

Gladys V. "Ginny" Miller, 76, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2012. Ginny was born on September 6, 1935 in Marietta, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to the late Amos and Katherine (Spayd) Spade. In 1975, she married her late husband, Robert L. Miller, Sr.
The fifth of twelve children, proud American and cancer survivor; Ginny loved spending time with her family especially her four grandchildren which were her pride and joy. She spoiled Bobby, Brenna, Chris, and Anthony with her Nanny Cookies, Nanny Blankets, and by sneaking them candy and soda. Her friends and family fondly remember her offbeat sense of humor. Ginny dedicated her entire life to her family and to the needs of others. She was employed by Video Pipe Services, Inc., where she worked with both her children.
Ginny is survived by her son, Robert L. Miller, II and wife Milina of Buena
Daughter, Scarlett A Blough and husband Chris of Vineland
Grandchildren: Bobby Miller, Brenna Blough, Chris Blough, and Anthony Miller.
Siblings, Eilene Keller, Odella Dippner, Gertrude Refford, Nancy Ebersol, Barbara Stoltzfus, George Spade, Harry Spade, Joseph Spade, and Frances Nolt along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother, Guy Spade and sister, Kathryn Whirt.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2pm at the DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Burial will be on Monday at 12 noon at Dunlo United Methodist cemetery, Dunlo, Pa. Friends will be received on Saturday from 12noon to 2pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the New Jersey Veteran's Memorial Home, Attn: Activity Dept, 524 N.W. Blvd., Vineland, NJ 08360.

Wayne Giglio, 56
General Mills/Progresso Employee
After a valiant struggle with cancer Wayne surrendered to his illness and passed from this life on Tuesday February 28 with his wife and children at his bedside. His last days were made comfortable through the kindness and care of the staff of South Jersey Healthcare Hospice in Bridgeton.
Born in Vineland, Wayne made his home here for all his life. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1974 and soon after married his childhood sweetheart, Vera. Wayne and Vera have shared their married life for 32 years. Wayne made his career in the gaming industry. His career of nearly 30 years started at The Sands Casino, Playboy Casino, and then finally The Taj Mahal. He left the Casino and became the primary care giver for his mother during her illness which eventually claimed her life. The time Wayne spent giving loving attendance to his mother was one of the most meaningful experiences of his life. Before his illness Wayne was employed at General Mills/Progresso in Vineland.
Wayne always delighted in spending time with his family. One of his most anticipated events was the annual Giglio Family Sauce Party where the whole family gathered to make and jar their homemade tomato sauce. Wayne had a passion for the days of the past when muscle cars were all the rage and joyfully attended all the local classic car shows. He was equally fond of old movies and enjoyed watching with his wife movies with stars such as James Cagney, Humphrey Bogart, Paul Newman and Robert Redford but held John Wayne above all other stars. He had a special fascination for military aircraft and attended the local air shows whenever he could. A loyal fan of all the Philly sports teams, he and his son Justin went to Philly to see the games often. He also had a great enthusiasm for motorcycles having owned a Harley Sportster and a Triumph Bonneville Chopper.
Wayne was pre-deceased by his parents Frank and Doris Giglio and most recently by his brother Ronald Giglio.
He is deeply mourned and will be sadly missed by his loving wife Vera (Reader), his son Justin and daughter Renee all of Vineland, his sister and brother-in-law Geri and Bill Hodges of Absecon and sister-in-law Mary Frances Giglio of Florida. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Vera Reader, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Linda and Victor Terenik, Juanita and Daniel Girimonte, Sharon and David Bertino, Joseph and Jan Reader, and Earl Reader. He was predeceased by his father-in-law Joseph Reader and sister-in-law and brother-in law Mary and Bruno Grimaldi. There are also many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins that mourn his loss.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday, March 5, 2012 at 10am at Padre Pio Parish, Our Lady of Pompeii Church,Vineland. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart cemetery. Friends will be received on Sunday from 4pm to 7pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland and again on Monday at the CHURCH from 8:30am to 9:45am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Road Cherry Hill, NJ 08034, or SJ Hospice Care, P.O. Box 160 Bridgeton, NJ 08302, or Padre Pio Parish, 4680 Dante Ave., Vineland, NJ 08361.

Ismael Maestre Olivero, 85 of Vineland, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico to Genaro Maestre and Georgina Olivero. He had six children from a previous marriage.
In 1960 he moved to Vineland, N.J., where he resided since then. He married his beloved wife Brunilda in 1967. They had five children, Alfredo Velez, Elizabeth Maestre, Ismael Maestre, Jr., Edwin Maestre and Hector Maestre. He had twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Ismael was employed at Progresso Foods for thirty years as a fork lift driver until his retirement. He enjoyed baseball, playing dominoes and going out with his wife to many places.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11am at the Vineland Spanish Pentecostal Church Assembly of God, 512 S. 3rd Street, Vineland. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart cemetery. Family and friends will be received on Monday evening from 5pm to 8pm and again on Tuesday morning from 9am to 10:45am all out of the church. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland.

Raymond "Shorty" J. Gelardo, Sr., of Forest Grove, died Friday, March 2, 2012 at the South Jersey Hospital in Elmer. Born in Forest Grove, Raymond was a lifelong resident of Forest Grove and Franklin Township. He attended Clayton High School, where he was a cheerleader. He owned and operated Lazy R Ranch in Vineland.
Raymond was a truck driver and delivery man for United Parcel for over 41 years, a former truck driver for Frank Preve Produce, and a cement truck driver for Vineland Transit Mix. Raymond loved his horses and giving pony rides to children.
He is predeceased by his parents Angelo and Philomena (Levato) Gelardo, and a brother Peter Gelardo.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 60 years Genevieve (Mattioli) Gelardo of Forest Grove, three sons Raymond Gelardo, Jr., and wife Theresa of Forest Grove, Angelo Gelardo and wife Joan of Forest Grove, and Vincent Gelardo and companion Marie of N. Carolina, two grandchildren Raymond Gelardo III and fiancé Amanda, Stefanie Garofolo and husband Paul, four great grandchildren Raymond IV, and Blake, Gelardo, Dominick and Franco Garofolo, and sister Marie Crescitelli and husband John of Philadelphia, and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, Our Lady of Victories Church, Landisville on Wednesday at 10am. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart cemetery. Relatives and friends will be received Tuesday evening from 6-8pm at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland, and Wednesday morning from 8:30-9:45 at the CHURCH. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family for the grandchildren.

Walter H. Frazier, 69, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 27 at the Eagleview Nursing Home.
The son of Sophie Hanley, Walt was born in Bridgeton NJ and lived in Vineland, NJ where he owned and operated Frazier Electronics. Walt enjoyed motorcycles, and especially enjoyed singing karaoke.
Walt is survived by his mother, Sophie Hanley and brother Paul Frazier and his wife Dahlin from Las Vegas, Nevada as well as his stepson, Bobby Wong and one niece. He is predeceased by his father, Walter Frazier, Sr.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service which will be held at Plainville United Methodist Church, Rt. 555, Franklinville, NJ on Saturday, March 17th at Noon.
Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland, NJ.
