Joseph N. Colangelo, age 92 of Cinnaminson, NJ; passed away on March 2, 2010 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of 70 years of the late Nettie; Devoted father of Salvatore and his wife Marie, Peter and his wife Patricia, Nicholas and Carole, and Francine and her husband William Eisenmann; Loving grandfather of Joseph, Doreen, Peter Jr., Perry, Nicholas Jr., Christina, Marc, Kevin, and great grandfather of Isabel, Adalene and Joseph. Joseph was one of the organizers to form the union at Campbell's Soup in the late 1930's. He served as secretary, treasurer and business manager of Local 80 - United Food and Commercial Workers Union; representing employees at Campbell Soup, US Cocoa Corp., Harris Steel Co., Haddon House Inc., and Flavor Delite. He also served as a business agent for Local 77 - American Federation of Musicians from 1960 to 1968. Mr. Colangelo attended Rutgers University and was a co-adjutant instructor at Rutgers as well as an instructor in the General Education Development Program at Rutgers for students to attain a high school equivalency diploma. He was also active in the following capacities; secretary/treasurer of the Camden Central Labor Union, Vice President of NJ State Industrial Union Council AFL-CIO, served as general vice-chairman for four years on the United Way Camden County chapter, treasurer of the Union Organization for Social Service (A United Fund agency), past president and secretary of the Delaware Valley Musicians Club, 2 year chairman and later vice-chairman of the executive board of the Camden chapter of the Red Cross. In his youth, he was a singing band leader using the professional name of Joe Lang. His dance band and cocktail unit played the major hotels, ballrooms and cocktail lounges in the New Jersey and Pennsylvania area. He sang in the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church choir in the 1940's and 1950's and performed the "Ave Maria" in many churches for weddings. Mr. Colangelo was also a charter member of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Cinnaminson. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Friday from 7 to 9 PM and Saturday from 8:15 to 9:15 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 North Browning Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM at the Church of St. Charles Borromeo, 2500 Branch Pike in Cinnaminson. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson. Vincent L. Buondonno, age 78 of Mount Laurel, NJ peacefully went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by his loving family at his side on March 3, 2010. Born and raised in Camden, NJ; and previously resided in Pennsauken, NJ. Beloved husband of 51 years of Dolores (nee DelBuono); Beloved son of the late Louis and Josephine (nee Golding) Buondonno; Devoted father of Joanne and her husband Lee Engelman; Diane Buondonno and her husband John Maltese, and Robert T. and his wife Karen; Dear brother of Robert S. Golding and his wife Rose, Paul Buondonno and his wife Rosina, and Rose Marie and her late husband the Honorable Theodore H. Davis. Also survived by his 3 loving grandchildren, the apples of his eye, Robert, Ariel and Christopher. Mr. Buondonno was a 1949 graduate of Camden High School, and a 1958 graduate of St. Joseph's University, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1952 to 1954 in the 45th Division Ambulance Company 120th Medics and recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He joined the Camden City Police Department in 1960 and became the Chief of Detectives of the Camden County Prosecutors Office in 1976 until his retirement in 1980. In 1980, he joined Teamsters Local 676 and remained there until retirement in 2004, becoming president in 2000. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Sunday from 7 to 9 PM and Monday from 11 AM to Noon at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 North Browning Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 PM at the Church of St. Stephen, 6300 Browning Road, Pennsauken, NJ. Entombment will follow at Calvary Mausoleum in Cherry Hill. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations may be made to Moorestown Visiting Nurse Hospice, 300 Harper Drive, Moorestown, NJ 08057, or to the Mount Laurel Emergency Squad, 1051 South Church Street, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054.

Br. Gerald Hudson, O.F.M., 67 years of age, a pastoral associate at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Camden, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 2. "Br. Jerry" as he was known to all had been at St. Anthony's since September, 2006 and was involved in many ministries, most notably CCOP (Camden Churches Organized for People) and St. Anthony's Community Garden. Br. Jerry visited the sick and homebound, performed wake services, helped with parish maintenance, and on occasion served as a substitute teacher at St. Anthony of Padua School. His biggest passions were for speaking out on behalf of the poor and marginalized, and gardening. He cared for the gardens around the St. Anthony of Padua Friary, and worked with the Camden Children's Garden to make St. Anthony's Community Garden one of the most successful in the city, helping transform that part of Cramer Hill into an oasis of beauty, joy and hope. He was the devoted father to his adopted son, Juan Rodriguez; dear brother of Carol Taggart, Phyllis Hadaller, Douglas, Boyd and the late Bob Hudson; Also survived by 4 nieces and 3 nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Sunday from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM and on Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 AM at the Church of St. Anthony of Padua, 2818 River Road in Camden where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM. Interment will take place privately. Loving grandmother of Dominic Ventura & Kelly Oliver and great grandmother of Ava and Sophia. Also survived by dear niece Patricia Grimming, nephew John Grimming and close family friends, James and Lisa Fults and their family. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Kelly was employed at the Cramer Hill Community Center in Camden City for 20 years. She was also a former 11th Ward Committee Woman for the City of Camden. He was the beloved husband of Kerrilene Sinapi-Valente; devoted father of Madison, Alyssa and Taylor; loving son of Matthew V. Jr. and Alice Valente; dear brother of Alice and her husband Dan Myers and Matthew V. Valente III and his wife Lynne; beloved grandson of Matthew V. Sr. and Clara Valente, and the late Helen Campbell-Yudizki; Loving uncle of Alycia, Matthew, Alexander, Ava and Lilyana; Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Sean was a 1992 graduate of Camden Catholic High School and a member of the varsity football team. He served in the United States Army for 8 years, with tours in Kuwait and Korea. For the last 6 years, he was employed as a physician's assistant.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation on Friday from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 9 PM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 North Browning Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM at the Church of St. Peter, 43 West Maple Avenue in Merchantville, NJ. Interment will be held privately.
