Coleman, Alice L.

Alice L. Coleman, 86, of Cape May Court House, NJ, died on Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at the Crest Haven Nursing Home. She was a lifetime county resident. She was a retired Housekeeper at the Woodbine Developmental Center.

She is survived by her 2 sons: Edward DeSantis of Swainton, NJ, and John DeSantis of South Carolina; her daughter: Earlene Lee of Swainton, NJ; seven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

Funeral Services are private.

Cole, Mulford R.

Mulford R. Cole, 70, of Dennisville, died on Friday, January 23, 2004 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. He was the son of the late Mulford and Elizabeth Robinson Cole. He was born at the Margaret Mace Hospital, North Wildwood, and was a lifetime area resident. He was retired from the Maintenance Department of the Pine Haven Campground. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Cole was a graduate of Middle Township High School and a member of the Alumni Association; a member of the Canon Lodge of F & AM; a member of the N.W. Dennis Community Club; and a former member of the Ruritan Club.

He is survived by his two sisters, Elizabeth Travis of Port Arthur, TX, and Doris E. Schofield of Dennisville; several nieces and nephews, including Robert Schofield of NW Dennisville, Elizabeth Cary of Woodbury, Daniel Errickson and Desiree Bender, both of NW Dennisville, and Charlene Hartem of Cape May Court House.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Union cemetery, South Dennis. There are no calling hours.

Cohen, Irene M.

Irene M. Cohen, of Cape May Court House, N.J. died suddenly on Friday, January 23rd, 2004. She was born in Brooklyn, NY to Thomas and Louise Franza Whitehorne. Irene was a vibrant and caring person who helped and touched so many lives. She was most generous in giving her time, and even her own belongings to the needy and those less fortunate. She was the kind of person who literally went without her winter coat, so that another could be warm. She was an adopted mother and grandmother to many people, young and old alike.

Irene moved to Cape May County in 1976 from Australia and was a much-loved elementary teacher in the Middle Township school system for 23 years. Irene volunteered in any capacity that would be supportive of children. With energy and enthusiasm she actively supported her children's participation in Little League, soccer, and was a Cub Scout Den Mother for many years. Additionally, she was depended on for long hours volunteering in the elementary school, the PTA, and many after-school programs. Later she was an official and founding member of the "Bag Ladies," a group who prepared bags of care packages for college students.

Irene was graduated with honors from Fontbonne Hall High School in Brooklyn, NY. She received her undergraduate degree and a Master's Degree in Economics from Brentwood College. Afterwards, she taught for many years in the parochial school system on Long Island.

Irene was a very active member of Our Lady of The Angels Church since her arrival. As the Director of Religious Education, longtime CCD instructor, member of the Parish Council, and founding Principal of "Lil Angels," (the Church's parochial school) she put forth a great deal of time and energy towards serving all members of the parish, especially the children.

She was an active member of the Cape May County Educators Association, the NJ Education Association, and the National Education Association. She was considered an exemplary educator by parents, children, and peers, winning numerous awards, including Teacher of the Year. She was also a member of the Women's Democratic Club of Middle Township.

Irene is survived by her children: Edward T., Joseph M. and his wife Beth, all residing in Philadelphia, PA and step-daughter Terry S. residing in Wilmington DE. A Memorial Mass will be said on Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at 8 pm at Our Lady of the Angels Church, Cape May Court House, NJ. Friends may call between 6pm and 7:45pm at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you make a donation to The Irene M. Cohen Scholarship Fund (a custodian of the fund will be announced at a later date).

Coffman, Richard G.

COFFMAN, RICHARD G., on July 12, 2004, of Cherry Hill, NJ. Formerly of Westmont, NJ. Age 57. Beloved husband of Lillian Inez (nee Grey). Father of Daniel J. Coffman of Cherry Hill. Also survived by his sister, Diane Coffman of Cherry Hill and his 3 grandchildren, Amber, Molly, and Danielle. Richard was a firefighter with the City of Camden for 25 years, before retiring.

Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Friday from 9:00-11:00 AM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt. 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ. Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Arlington cemetery, Pennsauken, NJ.

Coffman, Elizabeth E.

COFFMAN, on May 20, 2002, Elizabeth E. (nee Hansbury) of Southampton, formerly of Collingswood and Philadelphia. Age 75. Beloved wife of the late George E. ‘Bud’ Coffman. Loving mother of Richard G. and his wife, Lillian Coffman of Clermont FL and Diane Coffman of Southampton. Also survived by 3 grandchildren, Anthony, Michael and Daniel and 8 great grandchildren. Her interests included politics and she was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Vincentown. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Friday from 9:30-11:00am at the Bradley Funeral Home Rt. 73 and Evesham Rd. Marlton where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am. Interment Arlington cemetery, Pennsauken.

Conlow, Francis "Pete"

Francis "Pete" Conlow, formerly of Cape May Court House, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2003 in San Diego, CA. Born in Pennsylvania to the late Aloysius and Hilda (Kintzley) Conlow, he lived in Cape May Court House for 30 years before moving to San Diego a year and a half ago. He was a retired police officer for Stone Harbor. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cape May Court House. He was a avid photographer.

Mr. Conlow is survived by his children, Stephen Conlow of Huntingdon, PA, Ann Louise Conlow of San Diego, CA, Edgar Conlow of Cape May Court House, and Andrew Conlow of Leesburg; his brother, Fred Conlow of Swainton; and his eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Louise Conlow on February 6, 2002.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 10, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Interment will be on Monday, October 13, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. in the Baptist cemetery, Cape May Court House. Memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation, 1501 North West 9th Avenue, Miami, FL 33136.

Cook, Dorothy Hickey

DOROTHY HICKEY COOK, 86, of BELMAR, died Saturday, Jan. 31, at home. She was a member of the Belmar First Presbyterian Church. Born in Elizabeth, she lived in East Orange before moving to Belmar in 1952.

Surviving are her husband, Clarence C. Cook Jr.; a son and daughter-in-law, Clarence C. III and Betty Cook; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Larry Hahn, all of Belmar; a nephew, Frederick Fretz of Union; three grandchildren, Dara H. VanPelt, Aaron Hahn and Melissa Cook; and four great-grandchildren.

All services will be private. Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch, is in charge of arrangements.

Cosentino, Marie Ann Ronan

Marie Ann Ronan Cosentino age 81, of Eatontown died Sunday May 9, at home. She was a parishioner of St Dorothea's Roman Catholic Church, Eatontown. Born in Long Branch, she had lived in Eatontown for 50 years. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph F. Cosentino in 2000, 2 brothers, James Ronan, Frank Ronan, and a sister, Louise Ronan Travis. Surviving are 2 daughters, Joyce Cosentino, West Allenhurst, and Diane Goldberg, Eatontown; 4 grandchildren, Caroline, Kevin, Andrew and Alexis.

Relatives and friends may call at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., corner of Third Ave, Long Branch on Wednesday May 12, from 2-4, 7-9 pm. Funeral Thursday May 13, at 9 am from the funeral home followed by am 10 am Mass at St Dorothea's R.C. Church. Interment Woodbine cemetery, Oceanport. Memorial donations are requested to St Barnabas Hospice Center at Monmouth Medical Center, 300 Second Ave, CW6, Long Branch, NJ 07740.

Corcoran, Margaret E.

CORCORAN, Margaret E. (nee Swanson) on February 3, 2004 of Philadelphia, PA. Age 79 years. Beloved wife of the late Bernard J. Devoted mother of Joseph, Carol Stockman and Bernadette McCue. Loving grandmother of Carol Ann, Christine, Jennifer and Katelynne and great grandmother of Alexa, Shane, Megan, Kelly and Kayla. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Friday from 9-10 AM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt 73 and Evesham Rd. in Marlton. Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM at the Funeral Home. Corbett, Adina C.

CORBETT, ADINA C. Suddenly on May 9, 2004 just 3 days after her 21st birthday, of Barrington formerly of McGuire AFB. Beloved daughter of Colleen Corbett. Loving granddaughter of Jessica and Gregory Painter and Dale and Vicki Corbett. Dear niece of Joseph Corbett and Sarah Sheroke and her husband Bob. Also survived by 4 cousins, Zakery, Anna, Amanda and Andrew. Adina worked in retail at Hot Topic in Deptford. She was a former Junior Counsler at Camp Nejeda in Northern, NJ. Adina enjoyed scrap booking, writing poems, making posters, listening to live music and bands and most of all hanging out with her friends. She loved music, dancing, movies and going out to eat with her friends. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt. 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ. A Memorial Service will be at 8 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial donations to Camp Nejeda, P.O. Box 156 Stillwater, NJ 07875-0156.

Cooper, Jerry L.

Jerry L. Cooper, 71, of Avalon, NJ, died on Tuesday, August 3, 2004, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. Born in Matoaka, WV, he has lived here for twenty-four years spending his winters in Florida. He was a Finance Director for the DuPont Company, and retired in 1992 after thirty-two years of service. He was a Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife: Susan M.; daughters: Monica (Pat) Casey of Lombard, IL, Lisa (Scott) Gordon of Cary, NC, Mary Jo (Rich) Grier of Wilmington, DE, and Amy Mitchell of Avalon and New York City; brother: Don Cooper of Baltimore, MD; and seven grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 6, 2004 at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Av., Cape May Court House, NJ where friends may call after 9:30 AM. Memorials may be made to the American Liver Foundation, 1425 Pompton Av., Cedar Grove, NJ 07009.

Cook, Jr., Clarence C.

Clarence C. Cook, Jr, age 89 of Belmar died Thursday March 18, 2004 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He was the principal for East Orange School System, East Orange retiring 20 years ago. He was a graduate of Rutgers University and received his Masters of Education at Columbia University. He served his country honorable during WWII in the US Army retiring as a Major. He was past commander of the Flotilla 86 Division 8 with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was also retired from the Unit Officers US Infantry Association. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belmar. Born in Newark, he had lived in East Orange before coming to Belmar in 1952. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy Hickey Cook, who died on January 31.

Surviving are a son and daughter in law, Clarence C. III and Betty Cook, Belmar; a daughter and son in law, Carol and Larry Hahn, Belmar; three grandchildren, Dara H. Van Pelt, Aaron Hahn, and Melissa Cook; and four great grandchildren.

All services will be private. Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch is in charge of the arrangements.

Clayton, Harold E.

Harold E. Clayton, age 79 of Long Branch died Tuesday, June 15 at Gateway Care Center, Eatontown. He was and electrician for the U.S. Government retiring in 1985. He served his country honorably in the US Navy. Born in Long Branch, he was a life resident. He was predeceased by a daughter, Melody Clayton in 1961. Surviving is his wife, Madeline Lazarides Clayton; two daughters and a son in law, Eileen Montenegro of Ocean Twp., and Deborah and Jack Levy of Long Branch; five grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer and Daniel Conklin, Christopher and Jeanette Levy, Jacqulyn Levy, Kelly Levy and Nicole Montenegro; and two great grandchildren, Nicholas and Andrew Conklin.

Funeral, Friday, 9:30 am from the funeral home with a service to begin at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Glenwood cemetery, West Long Branch.

Crum, Joan K.

CRUM, JOAN K. (nee Kreuder) on July 6, 2004 of Cherry Hill for 35 years. Age 76 . Beloved wife of the late Lester. Devoted mother of Allan and his wife Monika and Steve and his wife Frances. Loving grandmother of Zoe, Kristopher, Laura, Jonathan, Daniel, Christopher and Tommy and great grandmother of Nathan, Amanda, James, Brian and Reily. Dear sister of Victor and Henry Kreuder, Mary Spreen, Virginia Johnson, Rosemary Yates and Beatrice Jahn. Joan was a member of Village Christian Fellowship in Medford, NJ. She was also a former president of Women's Aglow. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Saturday from 3:30-5 PM at the

There will be a Funeral Service at 5:00 PM at the funeral home.

Interment will take place privately. Joan had a passion and love for the Jewish people, in lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Bridge's for Peace, P.O. Box 33145 Tulsa, OK 74153, which builds relationships between Christians and Jews. `
