Heggie, William

William Heggie, 73 of West Long Branch died Friday, June 11, 2004 at Jersey Shore Care Center, Eatontown. He was a mortgage broker with Sovereign Bank, Toms River before retiring six years ago. Born in Schenectady, New York, he had lived in Long Branch before moving to West Long Branch 35 years ago. He was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. He was past president and a Hall of Fame member of the Monmouth County Bowling Association. He served his country honorably in the Untied States Army.

He was predeceased by his father, Angus Heggie. Surviving are his son and daughter in law, Gordon and Anailda Heggie of West Long Branch; two daughters, Pamela Heggie, of West Long Branch and Angela Holder and her companion, Jeff Adams of West Long Branch; his mother Margaret Riddell Powers of West Long Branch; his former wife, Barbara Yamello Heggie of West Long Branch; and five grandchildren, Joseph Heggie, Melissa Heggie, Kyle Hendricksen, Kristen Hendricksen and Alexandra Holder.

Relatives and friends may call at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., corner of Third Ave, Long Branch on Tuesday June 15, from 2-4, 7-9pm. Funeral Wednesday June 16, at 8 am from the funeral home followed by a 9 am Mass at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. Entombment will be in Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport. Memorial donations are requested to Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 408 Prospect Street, Long Branch, NJ 07701.

Heide, Sr., John T.

John T. Heide Sr., 87, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at Crest Haven Nursing Home. Born in Camden on September 5, 1916 to the late John W. and Ellen G. (Larsen) Heide, he moved to this area in 1921. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and was in the Army Corps of Engineers. He was a member of the American Legion, a charter member and past chief of the Stone Harbor Fire Department, and the Cape May County Communications Van. He was a Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 70 of Stone Harbor. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cape May and taught Sunday School there and at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Stone Harbor. He did the welding on the mastings for the USS Kitty Hawk.

Mr. Heide is survived by his daughter, Ellen H. (Cheatle) Lagano of Northfield; his son, Edwin S. of Villas; five grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence H. Heide on October 15, 1989 and his son, John T. Heide, Jr. on August 21, 1999.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 8, 2004 at 11:30 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where relatives and friends may call after 10:30. Interment will be in Fairview cemetery, Cape May Court House. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Cape May, 101 South Main Street, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210 or the Stone Harbor Volunteer Fire Company, c/o Borough Hall, 9508 Second Avenue, Stone Harbor, NJ 08247.

HEINEN, Dorothy A. (nee Williams)

On December 25, 2003 of Fairless Hills, PA, formerly of Marlton, NJ for many years. Age 71. Beloved mother of Howard Huston and his wife Karen of Egg Harbor Twp, NJ and Diana Ward of Fairless Hills. Devoted grandmother of Amanda Maccar and her husband Jeffrey , and Matthew Huston and his fiancée Carrie Carmichael. Great grandmother of Austin Jeffrey Maccar. Sister of Robert Williams and Eleanor Dubreuil. Mrs. Heinen was a Contract Specialist at Fort Dix, retiring after over 20 years. She was a bus driver for Evesham Twp Board of Education, a former member of Marlton Baptist Church, and a Past Worthy Matron for Eastern Star Chapter 140 in Haddonfield. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing 10am-12noon Monday at the BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME, Rt 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton. Funeral Service 12noon Monday at the Funeral Home. Interment Marlton Baptist Cem. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Animal Welfare Association or to any other animal welfare organization of your choice.

Heinrich, William G.

HEINRICH, William G. on January 5, 2003 of Cherry Hill, NJ formerly of New York City. Age 87 years. Beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Darcy). Devoted father of Robert and his wife Mary Jane of TX and Eileen McNiff of NJ. Dear brother of Margaret Bliss of MI. Loving grandfather of Darcy, Joseph, Michael and James and great grandfather of Madison. Also survived by a special niece Margaret Espinosa and her husband Henry of NY and their two children Eileen and Joseph.

Prior to retirement, Mr. Heinrich was employed as a Chef at the Hohokus Inn in NJ for over 20 years. He was also a United States Army Veteran of WWII serving from 1943-46. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 and on Friday from 8:15-9:15 AM at the Bradley Funeral Home, 601 Rt. 73 South in Marlton, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM at the Church of St. Pius X, Brace Rd in Cherry Hill. Interment Calvary cemetery in Queens, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in William's name to the Animal Shelter of the donors choice.

Hellings, Edith Worthington

Edith Worthington Hellings, 87, of North Cape May, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2002. She was born in Philadelphia and lived in the Germantown section until she moved here on March 15, 1957. She was a graduate of Germantown High School Class of 1933. She was a member of Bayshore Community Church, the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 156 of Cape May, the Golden Agers, the Groupees of Cape May, the Christian Women's Club, and the Young In Heart, where she was also Treasurer. She participated in many of the senior activities at the Millman Center in Villas and was a caller for many of the Bingo Clubs in Cape May County.

Mrs. Hellings is survived by her sons, W. Speese Hellings, Jr. of Clovis, CA, and Richard Hellings of Clermont; her sisters, Ruth Ann Wolfe of Easton, PA, and Helen Harland of Mt. Holly; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Speese Hellings, Sr. on April 7, 1968 and her daughter, Edith Hellings Craven in April 2001.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 6, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Bayshore Community Church, Washington Blvd., North Cape May, where relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 5, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House. Interment will be in Cold Spring Presbyterian cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Bayshore Community Church, 400 Indian Avenue, North Cape May, NJ 08204.

Hartmann, Robert G.

HARTMANN, ROBERT G. of Mt Laurel, NJ. Formerly of Audubon, NJ. Age 85. Loving husband of Dorothy (nee Hoefle). Beloved father of Robyn H. Smith of Sag Harbor, NY and Janice Hartmann of Voorhees, NJ. Also survived by his sister, Marie H. Mou of Syracuse, NY. Mr. Hartmann was a veteran of the US ARMY and served his country during WWII. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Monday May 24, from 11:00 AM - 12:00 Noon at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt. 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ. Memorial service will be at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. HALE, Charles N.

On April 10, 2004 of Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly of Voorhees and Haddonfield. Age 77. Awesome Dad of Michelle Schettler of Voorhees, Susan Glasbrenner and her husband David of Wellsboro, PA, Sandra Hale of Venice, Florida and Karen Purcaro and her husband Chris of Haddonfield. Devoted grandfather of Charlie and Ashley Schettler, Robert and Katherine Sapio, David Glasbrenner, Jr, Jacob Glasbrenner, and Sean and Patrick Purcaro. Dear brother of James E. Hale and his wife Rebecca of Berlin, Robert E. Hale and his wife Jean of West Hartford, CT, John T. Hale and his wife Thelma of Rocky Mount, NC, Frank G. Hale and his wife Mary Ann of Farmington, MO,and Lucille R. Thorbahn of Lansdale, PA. Son of the late William J. and Grace M. Hale and brother of the late William N. Hale. Mr. Hale served in the Navy during World War II and in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a member of the Trimble Lodge #117 Free and Accepted Masons and of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge#764 in North Port, FL. He served as a New Jersey State Trooper beginning in 1955 and retiring as a SFC in 1980. In his retirement, he worked for the Division of Gaming Enforcement. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing 6-9pm Wednesday at the BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME, Rt 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton. There will be a Service at 8pm on Wednesday, during the viewing. Halley, James B.

James B. Halley went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 18, 2001 at his home in Southampton, NJ. He was 61 years of age. Born in NYC, NY he resided in Southampton for the past 24 years moving there from Delran, NJ. A Sr. Systems Analyst for Data Systems in Pennsauken, NJ he worked there for 24 years until 1995 when he left due to health. A graduate of the University of Mississippi he was an avid pilot and flew out of Red Lion Airport. He is the beloved husband of Ethel A. (Nee Lawrence) Halley. Also survived by his children Erin A., James L. & Lauren E. all at home and Tonicha Voight of Medford Lakes, NJ, Wallace J. Halley of Kissimee, FL and Jena Parks of MS, his Granddaughter Brittany Voight of Medford Lakes, NJ, his Aunt Ida Hansler of Levittown, NY, his Uncle Vincent Halley of VA, 7 brother-in-laws, 7 sister-in-laws and a host of relatives and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday from 3:00 – 4:00 PM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Rd. Hammed, Rose LoBello Russo

Rose LoBello Russo Hammed, age 79 of West End, Long Branch died Wednesday April 21, 2004 at home. Born in Walpack Center, NJ, she had lived in Jersey City before moving to Long Branch 20 years ago. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Clara LoBello; 2 brothers, Louis and Joseph LoBello; 3 sisters, Lucy Iovino, Marie Scalcione, and Mary Ann Lionetti.

Surviving are her husband, Anthony Hammed; two sons, Albert Russo of Lincroft and Charles Russo of Holmdel; 4 brothers, Frank LoBello, Long Branch; Anthony LoBello of Toms River, Charles LoBello of Rutherford and Richard LoBello of Lincoln Park; 2 sisters, Clara Midola of Jersey City and Antoinette Esposito of Long Branch; 5 grandchildren, Michael, Stephanie, Lauren, Danielle and Allison Russo; her stepsons, Anthony Hammed, Jr., Charles Hammed and Michael Hammed and step grandchildren, Alexia, Alesandra, Charles, Jr. and Lisa.

Hand, Viola Ryder

Viola Ryder Hand, 81, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at home. Born in Shiloh to the late Herbert G. and Emma C. (Parsons) Ryder, she was a lifetime resident here. She was an LPN at Pine Crest Nursing Home in Wenonah. She was in the graduating class of 1962, the first graduating class of the Cape May County Vocational Tech School. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Clayton. Her family was the most important part of her life.

She is survived by her children, Florence Cossaboon of Cape May Court House, Jenalee Riley and her husband, Jim of Gibbstown, Myrna Shurr and her husband, Marty of Bridgeport, and Arthur A. Kelly, Jr. of Hammondsport, NY; her sister, Sarah J. Chambers of Cape May Court House; eight grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Paulson Hand, her daughter, Alberta P. Kelly, and her grandchildren, Albert P. Kelly and Jenalee C. Wallace.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 26, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Baptist cemetery, Cape May Court House. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 133, Bridgeport, NJ 08014.

Hanna, George

GEORGE HANNA went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 10th, 2004 at the Hospice of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. He was 94 yrs. of age. Born and raised in West Chester, PA he resided in the Leisuretowne section of Southampton, NJ for the past 2 yrs. moving there from Cherry Hill & Audubon, NJ. He is the son of the late Levi & Lucy Hanna. A retired employee of the Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Stratford, NJ, he retired in 1993 after 20 years of service. Prior to this he worked for the Camden Grocer's Exchange from 1934 to 1965 where he was a Supervisor for Mgmt. from 64-65. He also worked for Container Corp in Manayunk, Pa and owned George Hanna Hauling in Audubon, NJ and was a Veteran of the Army serving in the WWII. He is the beloved husband of Helen E. Hanna of Southampton, NJ and the loving stepfather of Ruth V. Kraybill of Millford, DE. He is also survived by his sisters Lily Sylvester of Middletown, PA, Alice Slyer of Uwchland, PA and Ella Carr and her husband Oscar of Cumberland, RI, his many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and his special feline friends Kitty, Fluffy and Precious. He is the husband of the late Catherine E. Hanna. Harris, Dorothy V.

Dorothy V. Harris, 80, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Wednesday, January 07, 2004 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. Born in New York City to the late George S. and Phyllis (Sears) James, she had been a lifetime resident here. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Cape May Court House. She was involved with the Middle Township Recreation Department and Democratic Club.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her son, John and his wife, Debbie of Cape May Court House; and her grandchildren, John of Dearborn, MI and Jennifer of Cape May Court House.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Cape May Court House. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 1 Church Street, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.

Ivins, Wilbur I.

Ivins on Feb 6, 2004 Wilbur I. of Medford age 80 beloved husband of Hester M. nee Sperbeck. Loving father of Virginia Olt, Margaret Jenkins, Kathie Sanders, Wilbur Ivins, Jr. George E. Ivins and Ronald R. Ivins. Also survived by his brother Merrill Ivins and a sister Dorothy Adams. He was a devoted grandfather of Chris, Scott, Kelly, Adam & Karl Olt, Tara Ivins, Tammy Mehigan, Tina Plummer, George, Tracee, Curt, Jon-Patrick and Gina Ivins, also Brianna Hullings, Jennifer, Ronald and Alex Ivins. And 16 wonderful great grand children. And a life long best friend Robert Powell. A life time residence of Marlton and Medford. During the 50's & 60's he served on the volunteer police dept. for Evesham Twp. Employed for ten yrs with the Pennsylvania Railroad. Retired from the Campbell Soup Co after 20 yrs. He and his wife own the Ivins Farm Market on Main St. in Medford. He was also a member of the Garrison/Foster Gun Club. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Monday 7-9PM at the Bradley Funeral Home Rt 73 & Evesham Rd. Marlton.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 1 PM in the sanctuary of the Medford United Methodist Church at the intersection of Hartford Rd, Taunton Rd & Himmelein Rd. Medford. Isgro, Rita Linda

Isgro, Rita Linda, age 86, of Cape May. Local artist and wood carver passed away July 28, 2004 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of Salvatore and Antoinette Christaldi. She was a graduate of South Philadelphia Girls School. She attended in and taught arts and crafts at Bok Vocational School in Philadelphia for several years, and attended Vo Tech in Cape May County for carpentry and wood shop for 15 years. She was an EMT for North Wildwood Rescue Squad, a volunteer for Handicapped Swim at Wildwood Swimming Pool, and a member of W.C. Swim Pool for over 25 years. She waught arts and crafts at the Senior Centers in Cape May County, and helped carve the Totem Poll for the county.

Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, and aunt., she is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Anthony Isgro; her loving son, Peter John Isgro; her loving daughter, Antoinette Marie Isgro and her husband Donald Blankenship; her loving grandchildren, Kimberly Knowles and her husband Brian, Misty Howell and her husband Robert Blake Cabot Isgro; her loving great grandchildren and love of her life, Brianna Charisma Knowles and Bryce Howell; her brother Anthony and Rita Christaldi; her sisters Mary Evangalista, Sarah Houget, and Catherine Matkowski; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name and honor for the Tree of Life at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital Radiation Oncology Department.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life on Saturday, July 31st from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Av., Cape May Court House.
