Kriebel, Peter "Pete" Alan

On August Fifth, Peter "Pete" Alan Kriebel, 74, joined his heavenly father with his loving family at his side. He was a retired Systems Analyst from Bell of Pennsylvania after serving for 42 years. Pete also served his country abroad in the United States Army during the Korean War. Pete was a lay minister at Manoa Baptist Church in PA for twenty years, and after his retirement from Manoa, he brought faith and hope to others as an interim pastor at the Green Creek Community Church for the past three and a half years.

Pete enjoyed antiquing and often lectured on early lighting and ice harvesting. Pete was a member of the board of Animal Outreach and also shared his time as a guide at the John Holmes Museum.

Pete is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, June (Karns), his son Peter Jr. and his son's wife Sue, his daughter Susan Marleton and her husband Steve. Pete also had two loving grandchildren, Justin and Ashley Kriebel. Pete is also survived by his brother, Paul Wasly and wife Marilyn.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Monday, August 9, 2004 at 10:00 AM with services at 12:00 PM at the Green Creek Community Church. Pete will be buried at Cold Springs Community cemetery in North Cape May.

Kovach, Rev. Frank Z.

REV. FRANK Z. KOVACH, (Ret. Lt. Col. US Army) of Atco, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at the Virtua West Jersey Hospital in Berlin, NJ. He was 85 yrs. of age. Born in Newark, NJ, he resided in Linwood, NJ for the 37 yrs. before moving to Atco last year. A Retired Lt. Colonel in the US Army and Presbyterian Minister he faithfully served his country and God for many years. He was the former pastor of the Chelsea Presbyterian Church in Atlantic City until 1991. Prior to this he served the 1st Presbyterian Church in Atlantic City for 8 years. He is a graduate of Bloomfield College with a BS in English and was a member of the Essex Troop and the Keystone Masonic Lodge #153. He is the husband of the late Claire (Nee Nansen) Kovach. He is the loving father of Catherine J. Kovach of Medford Lakes, NJ, Frank N. Kovach of Mays Landing, NJ and Susan E. Shourds and her husband Mark of Medford Lakes, NJ. He is also survived by his brother Daniel Kovach of Sommerset, NJ, his sister Roberta Maddux of VA. and his Grandchildren Christopher Kovach, Emily Shourds and Eric Shourds. Relatives and friends are invited to a Commital Service on Sunday at 3:00 PM at the Head of River cemetery Rt. 49 Tuckahoe, NJ. A Celebration of his Life will follow on Sunday at 4:00 PM at the Presbyterian Church 6001 Main St. Mays Landing, NJ. Funeral directed by the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME 127 Medford-Mt. Lashley, Sr., Eli B.

Eli B. Lashley, Sr., 77, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2003. Born in Seaville to the late Eli and Lily (Mason) Lashley, he was a lifetime resident here. He was an Army Veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Emma; his sons, Leonard of Maine, Eli Jr. of Goshen, Joe of Green Creek, and David of Philadelphia; his daughters, Emma Lee of Goshen, Paula Jones of Whitesboro, Betty Jean Myers of Mayville, Rhoda Lashley of Wildwood, Lillie Moore of Goshen, Rae Ann Frank of Philadelphia, Mary Lou Horton of Millville, and Diane Lashley of Wildwood; 46 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 14 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 2, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where relatives and friends may call after 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery.

Larkins, Clifford Harry

Clifford Harry Larkins, 89, of Cape May Court House, NJ, died on Wednesday, April 28, 2004, at his home. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he has lived here for the past year coming from Fort Pierce, FL. He was a retired Automotive Salesman, an Army Air Corp World War II Veteran, a 50 year member of the Shriner Amara Temple of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, a 32 Degree Mason with the Radiance Star Lodge in Hatboro, PA, Fraternal Order of Eagles in Salem, NJ, and a member of the Order Of Eastern Star in Port St. Lucie, FL.

He is survived by his wife, Gertrude S.; daughter, Joyce Morris of Salem, NJ; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral Services and interment are private.

Lee, George D.

George D. Lee, 87, of Woodbine, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2003 at Shore Memorial Hospital. He was born in Middle Township to the late Raymond W. and Nettie (Davis) Lee and was a lifetime resident of this area. He was the former owner of George's Body Shop in Whitesboro. He was a former member of St. Stephen's AME Church in Whitesboro. He was a foster grandparent at the Woodbine Developmental Center. Mr. Lee was an Army Veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his daughters, Delores Shelton and her husband, Aaron Lewis of Woodbine, and Janice Jones of Glassboro; his son in law, Donald Williams; his seven grandchildren, Karen Beachaump, Anthony Green, Sandra Lively, Mary Thomas, Sherri Howell, Donna Vance, and Dianna Williams; his ten great grandchildren; and fourteen great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joyce Williams and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Household of Ruth cemetery, Whitesboro. Lee, Sylvia Carol

LEE, SYLVIA CAROL (nee EHN) on December 21, 2003, of Medford, NJ. Age 65. Beloved wife of Donald R. Lee. Loving mother of Sandra Lee Bellino of Augusta, GA, Kathrine Vispisiano of Sickerlville, NJ and late late David Allen and Donna Marie Lee. Also survived by her mother Annie A. Ehn formerly of Bricktown, NJ and her grandchildren, Bobbie Lee, and Michael and Kristina Vispisiano. LaFrance on Feb. 18, 2004 of Audubon Park age 65. Husband of Sueanne. Also survived by a son Joseph LaFrance of Voorhees and a daughter Anita (Thomas) Kirschbaum of Westmont. Also 2 grandchildren Thomas Joseph, Kathryn Marie. An electrician with Wills and Stiles Company of Medford for 42 years. Also a Veteran of the United States Navy. Lagerman, Mae V.

MAE V. LAGERMAN (Nee Campbell), went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 26th, 2004 at the Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly, NJ. She was 83 yrs. of age. Born in Woodside, NY, the daughter of the late Michael and Theresa Campbell, she resided in Medford, NJ for the past 2 years moving there from Lumberton, NJ and Willingboro, NJ. A long time member of the Medford Chapter of Deborah Heart & Lung, Mae also enjoyed craft making and loved to cook. She achieved the highest goal in life anyone could ever wish for - she was deeply loved by her 7 children. She is the wife of the late James C. Lagerman and the best mom in world to Mark (Alex) of Beverly, NJ, James (Cathy) of Greenville, SC, Steven (Louise) of Manvel, TX, Gregory of Medford, NJ, Barbara Nolen (Bernard) of Mt. Laurel, NJ, Therese Wells (Ben) of Tabernacle, NJ and Phyllis Lagerman (Carol) of Medford, NJ. She is also survived by Grandchildren Todd & Jamie Nolen, Thomas, Michael, Daniel, Eric, Keren and James Lagerman and Kristy Wells and her beloved pet, Princess. Laird, Edward James

Edward James Laird, 81, of Ocean View, NJ, died on Wednesday, December 31, 2003, at the Eastern Shore Nursing Home, Swainton, NJ. He was born in Pennsauken Township, NJ, the son of the late edward J. and Ida May Blank Laird. He was an area resident most of his life. he was a retired carpenter for Morey Builders of Wildwood Crest, NJ. He was an Army Veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his children: Edward (Russ) J. and his wife, Gail, of Somerdale, NJ, Susan DeStefano and her husband, Fran, of Ocean View, NJ, and Jeffery J. and his wife, Carla, of Erma, NJ; sisters: Florence Moy of Marlton, NJ, and Alice Thomas of Erma, NJ; and grandchildren: Phaedra and Kyle Laird, Gregory, Adriennd and Anthony DeStefano, and Stephanie and Justin Laird. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita C., on August 18, 2002.

Lamanna, Elizabeth

Elizabeth Lamanna, 89, of Clermont, NJ, died on Thursday, January 1, 2004, at the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House, NJ. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Carmello and Catherine Foti Catanoso, and lived in this area most of her life. She was a member of St. Joseph's RC Church of Sea Isle City, NJ, and was a retired LPN having worked at Mercy Hosptial and Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Lamanna is survived by a daughter: Marilyn Petitto and husband, Low, of Clermont, NJ; sons: Louis and wife, Rosemary, of Seaville, NJ, and Peter and wife Joyce of Medford, NJ; brothers: Anthony (Phyllis) Catanoso of Florida and North Wildwood, NJ, Leonard (Connie) Catanoso of Florida and Clermont, NJ, Joseph (Millie) Catanoso of Wildwood, NJ, Charles (Louise) Catanoso of Florida and Rio Grande, NJ, and Peter (Carol) Catanoso of Villas, NJ; sisters: Leona Betz of Wildwood Crest, NJ, and Mary Nestor of North Wildwood, NJ; brother-in-law: Louis Lamanna of Ocean City, NJ and Washington, DC; grandchildren: Louis and Tammy Lamanna of Mays Landing, NJ, Anthony of Clermont, NJ, Gina Lamanna of California, Dean Lamanna of Medford, NJ and California, Lisa Lamanna of Medford, NJ, Mark and Perry Lamanna of Texas; and three great grandchildren of Texas.

Funeral Liturgy will be said on Monday, January 5, 2004, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph's RC Church, 4400 Landis Av., Sea Isle City, NJ, where friends may call at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Elizabeth's cemetery, Goshen, NJ. Lappin, Thomas

Thomas Lappin, 73, of Cape May Court House, died on Tuesday, May 25, 2004 at home. He was born in Pennsylvania and moved to this area in 1974 from Havertown, PA. He and his late wife, Marie, owned and operated the Nob Hill Gift Shop in Stone Harbor, NJ until retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie, who he married on May 27, 1950 and will be celebrating their 54th anniversary with her.

He is survived by a daughter, Nancie M. Iacona of Washington Township, NJ; two sons, Steven P. of Upper Darby, PA, and Paul M. and his wife, Joan of South Dennis, NJ; a brother, David Lappin of North Carolina; a sister, Patricia Miller of Cape May Court House, NJ; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 28, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where friends may call at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Cold Spring Presbyterian cemetery.

La Corte, Francis V.

Francis V. LaCorte, age 83 of Long Branch died Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was a tracking technician for People Express, Newark, for 38 years before retiring. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Marines, serving in the South Pacific, during WWII. He was a parishioner of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, West End, Long Branch. Born in Elizabeth, he had a summer residence in Long Branch since 1924 and moved to Long Branch permanently in 1960. He is predeceased by his father, Salvatore F. LaCorte, who was former District Court Judge of Union County; his mother, Frances Liotta LaCorte and a brother Nicholas LaCorte in 1967, who was former State Assemblyman and Mayor of Cranford. Surviving are his wife, Doris SanGiacomo LaCorte; 4 sons, Michael of Titusville, Rocque of Sea Bright, Guy of West Allenhurst and Dean of Monmouth Beach; 1 daughter, Barbara Cuddy of Long Branch; two sisters, Concetta Juliano and Mary Kay Buckridge, both of FL., and 7 grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may call at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., (corner of Third), Long Branch on Thursday, April 1, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral, Friday, 9:30 am from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 10:30 am at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, West End, Long Branch.
