Walter R. Summers
February 24, 2009

Walter R. Summers, age 85, of Browns Mills died Tuesday, February 24 at Samaritan Hospice in Mount Holly. Born in Philadelphia, Walter was a resident of Browns Mills for the past 30 years.

Walter was retired from the US Air Force with the rank of TSGT after 24 years of service. He was a ball turret gunner during WWII in a B-17, flying 35 missions over England and Germany. After his retirement from the Air Force, Walter worked for Reedman Motors in Langhorne, PA and also in the tool room at Delaval Turbine in Florence.

Brother of the late Katherine Haas; George is survived by his wife, Pauline (nee Dye) Summers; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Denise Summers of Phillipsburg, NJ; a daughter and son-in-law, Rosalie and Jim Patterson of Perry, GA; a brother, Bud Summers of Reeders, PA; two sisters, Lillie Lalley of Clearwater, FL and Mary Carrcciola of Philadelphia; six grandchildren, Aaron, Stephanie, Kasey and Morgan Summers and Matthew and Sarah Patterson; two great granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral and interment services will be held on Friday, February 27 at 11: 30 AM at the Chapel of the BGWCD Veterans Memorial cemetery , 350 Province Line Road in Wrightstown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Walter’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, #301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com).

George F. Stillwell
February 22, 2009

George F. Stillwell, age 80, of Lakewood died Sunday, February 22 at Atlantic Coast Rehab & Health in Lakewood. Born in Cream Ridge, he was a resident of New Egypt before moving to Lakewood a few years ago.

George was a retired crane operator with Delaval Turbine in Trenton.

Husband of the late Jean (Horner) Stillwell, son of the late John T. and Maude (Johnson) Stillwell and brother of the late Alvie and Daniel Stillwell, George is survived by his former wife, Barbara Stillwell of New Egypt.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 26 at 11: 00 AM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com). Burial will follow in the Jacobstown cemetery in Jacobstown. Calling hours will be on Thursday morning from 10: 00 to 11: 00 am at the funeral home.

Paula L. Bauer-Corcoran
February 17, 2009

Paula L. Bauer-Corcoran, age 61, of Burlington died Tuesday, February 17 at Capital Health System, Mercer Campus in Trenton. Born in Pottstown, PA, had lived in Burlington for the past three years and formerly lived in Hightstown and New Egypt.

Paula is survived by two sons, Christopher Corcoran of Burlington and Casey Corcoran of Millstone; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Colleen and Eric Erbe of Burlington; her children’s father, Thomas Corcoran of New Brunswick and a grandchild, Alexander Erbe of Burlington.

A memorial service for Paula will be held on Sunday, February 22 at 3: 30 PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt (www.tilghmanfh.com). Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2: 00 to 3: 30 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be private.

Mr. Edward Andrew Donlin Sr. of Hopatcong, NJ died on Friday Nov. 29, 2002 at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, NJ. He was 47 years old. Mr. Donlin Sr. was born in Springfield, Ma and lived many years in Hopatcong, NJ.

Mr. Donlin Sr. was a Clerk at the Dover US Post Office for the last 14 years. Mr. Donlin enjoyed Bowling and Golfing.

Mr. Donlin Sr. was married for 21 years to Maryanne (Nee Scanlon) Donlin. He is survived by his son Edward Andrew Donlin Jr. of Hopatcong, NJ. His Mother Veronica (Nee Sullivan) Donlin of Southwick, MA. His two brothers John of Peabody, MA and William of Morristown, NJ. His four sisters, Joan Langevin of Feeding Hills, MA, Patricia Donlin of San Franciso, CA, Nora Gardner of Melrose, MA, and Mary Ennis of Springfield, MA.

Mr. Donlin Sr.'s family and friends will be received at Norman Dean Home for Services on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9PM. Mr. Donlin Sr. will have a Liturgy of Christian Burial service on Wednesday at 10: 00AM at St. Mary's Church Denville, NJ. Memorial donations to Epilespy Foundation of America, 4351 Garden City Drive, Landover, MD 20785 would be appreciated.

Arthur A. Sharples passed away on February 9, 2004 at the New York Presbyterian Hospital (The University Hospital of Columbia and Cornell). He was 58 years old.

Born in Maplewood, NJ he had lived in Denville before moving to New Vernon, NJ 16 years ago, and then to Manhattan just over a year ago.

He had served in and was honorably discharged from the National Guard.

He received an MBA (Masters of Business Administration) from Columbia School of Business in 1968,
he then went to work as an investment banker 34 years ago, working at both Merrill Lynch and Paine Webber in New York City.

His son Wesley Sharples of Denville survives him. He is also survived by his sister Linda Packard of Cary, NC, his Niece Elizabeth Rehbock also of Cary, NC, and his companion Barbara Hrovat of NY, NY.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday at the funeral home at 10: 00AM. Friends may visit on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9PM. A memorial service will take place at The First Presbyterian Church of New Vernon at a later date in June.

Lowell C. Gincley Jr.

Lowell C. Gincley Jr. passed away at his residence in Denville on July 11, 2004. He was 77 years old.

Born in West Chester, PA he had lived in Denville for many years before moving to East Stroudsburg, PA 3 years ago and then back to Denville in May 2004.

He had served in the Navy during WWII. He was a steel worker for Carpenter Technology in Union, NJ for 36 years before retiring in the early 1980’s. After his retirement he worked for 10 years at General Chemical in Parsippany.

His wife of 54 years Arlein (nee Meeker) of Denville and his children, Carl of Stanhope, John of Hillsdale, and Karen Dittmar of Hackettstown Survive him. His grandsons Keith, Kenneth, and Daniel Dittmar and Ryan Gincley also survive him as well as his brother Alan of Summit, and sister Marylin Atchenson of Alta Loma, CA.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11AM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ Friends may visit on Wednesday from 7-9PM.

Arthur Emil Tokle Sr.
82, Olympian, Coach, Author
Rockaway Township- Arthur E. Tokle Sr., 82, a resident of the Lake Telemark section of Rockaway Township died Thursday, March 3, 2005 at the Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Clare’s Hospital Dover, NJ.

Mr. Tokle was born in Lokken-Verk, Norway, prior to his arrival in the United States he served in the Kings Guard, Oslo, Norway. He arrived in the United States in 1947. He was a member of the US Ski Team, Olympic athlete and coach. He skied on several World Championship Teams and was National Ski Jumping Champion. He is a member of the US National Ski Hall of Fame. In 1971 he co-authored “The Complete Guide to Cross Country Skiing”. Mr. Tokle was a member of Jephthah Lodge #233 F & AM, Carpenters Union Local #620 and the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Telemark.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 56 years Oddfrid (Larsen) Tokle, his son Arthur Jr. and his wife Suzanne, a daughter Vivian Lynch, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren; also a sister Lilly Stein of Meldal, Norway.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday March 8th at 11: 00a.m. At the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com Relatives and friends will be received Monday March 7th from 2-4 & 7-9p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Eastern Ski Jumping & Nordic Combined Foundation, Inc. Olympic Jumping Complex, 52 Ski Jump Lane, Lake Placid, NY 12946; or the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 508 Green Pond Rd., Rockaway Twp., NJ 07866 in his memory.

Edwin G. “Butch” Duffy passed away at Care One in Parsippany on May 30, 2005. He was 63 years old.

Born in Jersey City, he had lived, and was an active member of the Rainbow Lakes section of Denville, for the last 41 years.

Edwin was a Social Studies teacher in the Randolph Township School System for 30 years before retiring in 1993.

His sister Joyce Jablowski of Matawan and her children Tom, Jeff, and George Jablowski, and Cathy Vogel survive him. His 13 grand nieces & nephews also survive him.
His cousins Evelyn Smith, her children Scott Smith, and Debra Sokolosky and 4 great cousins also survive him.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Mt. Lakes on Thursday June 2, at 11: 30AM. Friends may visit on Wednesday evening from 7-9PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ www.normandean.com. Anna C. Ayli Lees (Calvert) passed away at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville on July 9, 2005. She was 50 years old.
Born in Passaic, NJ she had moved to Boonton, NJ 7 years ago.

She received her Bachelor’s degree from Montclair State University, and was currently working on her Master’s degree in Special Education at St. Elizabeth’s.

Anna had been a teacher at St. Joseph’s School in Maplewood, NJ for the last 3 years.

She is pre deceased by her father Norman T. Calvert in 2004.
Her mother Anna Calvert of Orlando, FL survives her.

She is survived by her husband of 11 years, David Lees, of Boonton, NJ. Her children Ann Furrer of Rockaway, Elias Ayli of Mt. Lakes, and Antoinette Ayli of Mt. Lakes, NJ. Her stepdaughters Shannon Lees of Phoenix, AZ, and Melissa Elick of Calgary, Alberta also survive her.
Her Grandchildren Blake Furrer and Madison Elick also survive her as well as her brothers Norman, Ransel and Thomas Calvert all of Orlando, FL. Her close friend and father of her children Emile Ayli of Mt. Lakes, NJ also survives her.
