Mitchell, Jr., Stanley

Stanley Mitchell, Jr., 37, of Woodbine, NJ and formerly of Pleasantville, NJ suddenly fell asleep in death at home on May 7, 2004. Stanley had been ill for quite some time.

Stanley was born on December 18, 1966 in Newark, NJ and moved to Pleasantville, NJ around the age of 8. He attended Pleasantville public schools and graduated in 1984. He married his wife, Karen A. (Francis) who he dearly loved on September 27, 1997. He was lastly employed by the Atlantic City Housing Authority before he became disabled 2 years ago.

Stanley was dearly loved by many and he made it easy to be loved. Stanley had a heart of hold and a smile that would brighten anyone's day. He was a warm and loving person who had a wonderful personality and very sunny disposition and sense of humor, despite of his failing health. He loved helping others and was a faithful Jehovah's Witness. Stanley enjoyed listening to music while driving his car, fishing, traveling, dancing, being playful with wife and his nieces and spending time with those whom he loved and who truly loved him.

Stanley will be truly missed by his loving wife of 6 years, Karen, his parents Stanley and Brenda Mitchell, Sr., of Pleasantville, NJ, his parents-in-law (with whom he resided) Matthew R. and Elaine Francis, Jr., his maternal grandmother Helen Nelson of Newark, NJ, his paternal grandfather William Henry Dodson of Petersburg, VA, his grandmother-in-law Adrean Jacobs of Woodbine, NJ, his brother and sister-in-law Darren and Honey Mitchell of Galloway, NJ, his sister Felicia Mitchell of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, his brothers-in-law Kevin and Karl Francis of Woodbine, NJ and his uncles Larry Dodson of Petersburg, VA and Benjamin Nelson, Jr., of Newark, NJ, two nieces whom he dearly loved Jada Mitchell-Robinson and Diamond Mitchell and a special little cousin, Shiheem Curry.

He also leaves to cherish his memory a wonderful and caring friend who was like a true brother, Steven Crump and his wife, Kim of Pleasantville, NJ and many other relatives and a host of friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, May 14th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Radzieta Funeral Home at 9 Hand Avenue in Cape May Court House, NJ and again at the Bargaintown Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 3550 Bargaintown Road, Bargaintown, NJ on Saturday, May 15th from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Funeral services immediately follow the viewing and the burial will be at the Atlantic City cemetery.

Misiewicz, Jean "Genevieve"

JEAN "GENEVIEVE" MISIEWICZ of Mt. Laurel, NJ, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, July 3, 2004 at the Virtua West Jersey Hospital in Marlton, NJ. She was 85 years of age. Born in Phila., PA, she has resided in Mt. Laurel for the past 9 yrs. moving there from the Lake Pine section of Medford, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Teofil & Marianna Lipko and the wife of the late Leo Misiewicz. A former Receptionist & Secretary for the B.C. Prosecutors Office in Mt. Holly, NJ, she also enjoyed providing Child Care and was a member of the Handicapped Children of NJ. She is the loving mother of Nancy M. Venzlowsky of Mineral, VA, Linda J. Schloendorn of Mt. Laurel, NJ, Kenneth V. Misiewicz of Felton, DE and Debbie Misiewicz of Mt. Laurel, NJ. She is also survived by her Grandchildren Jennifer and Andrea Venzlowsky, Stacie Murphy, Keith Misiewicz and Jenna Misiewicz and also 2 Great Grandchildren Sarah Murphy and Vincent Misiewicz. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Thursday 8:00 - 9:00 AM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME 127 Medford Mt. Holly Rd. Medford, NJ (Rt. 541). A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Thursday at 10:00 AM in the St. Joan of Arc Church in Marlton, NJ. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cem. in Mt. Holly, NJ. In Lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family requests memorial donations to the St. John of God School, 1145 Delsea Dr., Westville Grove, NJ 08093.

Mills, Teresa Palaia

Teresa Palaia Mills, age 89, of Oceanport died Tuesday April 20, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. She was a jewelry buyer for Steinbach Department Store, Asbury Park for 10 years retiring in 1973. She had also worked at Learner's Shop and was manager for Lane Bryant's, both located in Red Bank. Born in Oceanport, she had lived in West End and Fair Haven before moving to Toms River less than a year ago. She was predeceased by her husband Donald D. Mills in 1971.

Surviving is her son, Alfred T. Mills and his companion, Cora Kacen, Toms River; two grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may call at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., corners of Third Ave, Long Branch on Friday April 23, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service Saturday April 24, at 10 am from the funeral home with a service to begin at 10:15 am. Interment will follow at Woodbine cemetery, Oceanport.

MILLER, Neva C. (nee Councell)

On March 24, 2004, of Pennsauken. Age 82. Beloved wife of the late Carl L. Miller. Loving mother of Neva Zelem and her husband Robert of Collingswood. Devoted grandmother of Robert and Steven Zelem and Gina Daniels and great grandmother of Amber, Keenan and Emma. Dear sister of Edith Thomas of Maple Shade and Charles Councell of E. Liverpool, OH. Mrs. Miller was a member of Temple Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the Altar Guild and the Ester Group. She also helped in the kitchen for Bible School and other church activities and assisted the Pastor with services at the Fountains. She was also Program Chairman for Young at Heart in Pennsauken. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing 9:30-10:30am Saturday at Temple Lutheran Church, 5600 Rt 130 North, Pennsauken, NJ 08109. Funeral Service 10:30am Saturday at the church. Interment White Chapel Memorial Park, Feasterville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the church.

NOVACUSKIE, Leon E.

Suddenly on January 25, 2004 of Marlton. Age 72. Beloved companion of Lois E. Sees. Loving father of Donna, Linda, Ann Marie, Sandra, John, David, Sandra, Deborah, Michele, Andrew and Suzanne. Also survived by 14 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and 2 sisters Pauline Grembowicz of New Port Richey, FL and Julia Stepanek of Sunbury, PA. Leon was a veteran of the Air Force during the Korean conflict. He retired as an Engineer from Schaevitz Engineering in Pennsauken and in his retirement worked part time at K-Mart in Marlton. He was also a member of St Joan of Arc Church in Marlton. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Thursday from 7-9pm and Friday from 9-10am at the BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME, RT 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton. Norbury, Lucy May

Lucy May Norbury, 91, formerly of Cape May Court House, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 10, 2004 at the Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, Palm Beach, FL. She was born in Dias Creek, to the late Redmond and Effie Norton Stiles. She was a former faithful member and Sunday School Teacher of the Cape May Court House Baptist Church. She was graduate of the Middle Township High School and the Glassboro Normal School. She taught school in Dennisville, Goshen, and Avalon Schools. She also had been a bookkeeper for the Burleigh Lumber Company. She was a member of the Wildwood Golf and Country Club and a former member of the Ballen Isle of J.D.M.C.C. of Palm Beach Gardens.

She is survived by her two sons; Leslie A. and his wife, Mary of Cape May Court House, and Donald and his wife, Marie of Ocala, FL; five grandchildren, Linda Norbury, Ruth Ann Roman, Donna Riley, Heather Norbury, and Donald Norbury, Jr.; five great grandchildren, Bethany, Joshua and Victoria Kell, and Nicholas and Joelle Roman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester H. Norbury on July 7, 1987.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2004 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House. Funeral services will be private. Interment will be in the Baptist cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 225 City Avenue, Suite 104, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.

NIGRO on Feb 25, 2004 Alfred D. of Mt Laurel and Boynton Beach, FL. formerly of Brigantine age 77 beloved husband of Barbara nee Denny. Also survived by his grandson Nicholas. Mr. Nigro is the father of the late Michael Nigro. An Army Veteran of WWII, he was a Camden City Fireman for 27 yrs, after retirement he founded the Acme Fire Extinguisher Co of Marlton. Mrs. Nelsen worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. in New York City. Funeral Services will be private. Neri Jones, Marion A.

Marion A. Neri Jones (nee Persechino) of Cherry Hill, NJ, died on Friday May 24, 2002 at JFK Cherry Hill Hospital in Cherry Hill, NJ. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Mrs Jones was a resident of Cherry Hill, NJ since 1970 and prior to that lived in Haddonfield. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Peter's Church in Merchantville, NJ. Mrs Jones was a very family oriented individual and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was wife of the late, James L. Neri. She is survived by three daughters, Norma and her husband, Robert Richards of Mt. Laurel; Dolores and her husband, Salvatore Tocco of Merchantville and Lana and her husband, Carl DiTore of Cherry Hill; a son James Neri and his wife Doris of Hainesports; five sisters, Rose Marconi, Betty Pizutto, Jean Bailey, Rita Rizio and Ann Carcione; a brother, Fred Persechino; nine grandchildren, James, Peter, Linda, Karen, Denise, James, Carmen, Carl and Michelle; 15 great grandchildren. She is predeaceased by three sisters, Jennie Howlett, Mary Angelastro and Josephine Persechino. Nevin, Richard I.

Richard I. Nevin, Jr., 62, of Avalon, NJ, died on Monday, January 5, 2004, at his home. Born in Teaneck, NJ, he has lived here for the last 6 years coming from Key Biscayne, FL and Bethlehem, PA. He was a 1963 graduate of Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and worked as an executive for various health care companies throughout his 33-year business career. He was recently associated as a Business Administrator and served as a Trustee and Eucharistic Minister. He was also a Fourth Degree Knight with the Sea Isle Knights of Columbus, a member and First Vice President of the Avalon Lions Club, on the Avalon Planning and Zoning Board, and a Trustee in AHLOA-Avalon Home and Land Owners Association.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Maureen Ryan Nevin. He is also survived by his children: Richard I. Nevin, III (Cathy) of Pleasant Prairie, WI, Elizabeth Meckley (Mark) of Avalon, NJ, Peter Ryan Nevin (Kristi) of Lake Bluff, IL, and Michelle Burns (William) of Stone Harbor, NJ; three sisters; one brother; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral Liturgy will be said at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 10, 2004, at Maris Stella Church, 50th and Dune Dr., Avalon, NJ, where relatives and friends may call from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM. Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Redeemer Visiting Nurse Agency, 1801 Rte. 9 North, Swainton, NJ 08210.

Nicoletta, Carol Virginia

Carol Virginia Hand Nicoletta, 64, of Cape May Court House, died Thursday, January 22, 2004 at the home of her son, Anthony. She was born in Cape May Court House, the daughter of the late John and Eleanor Wood Hand. She was a member of the Lighthouse Church. She was a zoning officer for the Township of Middle for twenty nine years and also served as secretary to the Zoning and Planning Boards of Middle Township. She enjoyed traveling and visiting the casinos.

She is survived by two sons, Anthony D. and wife, Jean of Cape May Court House, and Michael W. and wife, Diane of Jacksonville, FL; eight brothers and sisters, Arden Hand of Stone Harbor, Nathaniel Hand of Augusta, GA, Lois Bennett of Riverside, CA, Shirley Pitale of Cape May Court House, Roger Hand of Ocala, FL, David Hand of Cape May Court House, Peggy McKee of Shamong, and Sandy French of Sea Isle City; seven grandchildren, Joseph, Ryan, Katrina, Joanna, Janette, Michael, and Matthew; three great grandchildren, Brandon, Diana, and Zachary. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John W. Hand.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where friends may call after 6:00 p.m. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to the Holy Redeemer Visiting Nurse Agency, 1801 Route 9 North, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.

Nieddu, Anne M.

ANNE WRIGHT NIEDDU, 83, of LONG BRANCH, died on Saturday, April 17, at Jackson Health Care Center in Jackson. She was a communicant of Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church in Long Branch. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of BPOE, Long Branch Lodge 742. Born in Scotland, she lived in Keansburg and Newark before coming to Long Branch in 1957.

Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Frank J. Nieddu; two daughters, Diane Borden-Yaworski and her husband, William Yaworski, of Bordentown, and Linda Nieddu of Howell; a sister, Jean Murphy, of Atlantic Highlands; three grandchildren, Scott Borden, Kevin Borden and Debra Rabatie; three great-granchildren, Ethan, Luke and Shane.

Relatives and friends may call at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue, corner of Third Avenue in Long Branch, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday. Funeral Tuesday April 20, 8:15 am from the funeral home followed by a 9:15 am Mass at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church. Entombment will be in Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport.

Olvay, Jeanne Marie

Jeanne Marie Olvay, 80, of Somers Point, formerly of Cape May, died on Thursday, November 15, 2001 at Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point. Born in Philadelphia, she had lived in Somers Point for five years after living in Cape May for fifty five years. She was a Navy Veteran of World War II. She was a telephone operator for Bell Atlantic of Wildwood for forty four years before retiring in 1991. She was a member of Bell Telephone Pioneers and the V.F.W. of Cape May.

Ms. Olvay is survived by her cousin, Elizabeth A. Miller of Somers Point. She was predeceased by her parents, J. Harry and Mary A. Miller.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 19, at 8:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where relatives and friends may call after 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private in Cold Spring Presbyterian cemetery, Cold Spring.
