Alvino, Vincent J.

Vincent J. Alvino age 89 of Allenwood died Thursday November 4, 2004 at home. He was a retired self employed roofer. He was a past member of the Knights of Columbus; a member of the Long Branch Fishing Club; and an avid hunter. He served his country honorably in the US Navy during World War II.

He was a communicant of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. Born in Red Bank, he had lived in Long Branch before moving to Allenwood 1 year ago. He was predeceased by his wife Elsie Valenti Alvino in March of this year, a son, Robert D. Alvino in 1972, and a grandson, Adam Alvino in 1994.

Surviving is his son and daughter in law, Vincent J. and Janice Alvino, Allenwood; a brother, William Alvino, Colts Neck; three grandchildren, Christopher, Brian and Nicholas.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 7, from 1-4 pm at Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave. on the corner of Third Ave, Long Branch. Funeral Monday, November 8, at 8:30 am from the funeral home followed by a 9:30 am Mass at Holy Trinity Church, Long Branch. Interment will be at Woodbine cemetery, Oceanport. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to The Adam Alvino Memorial Scholarship Fund, 2128 Saw Mill Lane, Allenwood, NJ 08720 or VNA of Central Jersey Hospice, 141 Bodman Place, Red Bank, NJ 07701.

Amandeo, Anna R.

Anna R. Amandeo, 83, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Division. Born in Philadelphia to the late Carmen and Natalie (Capaldi) Franchetti, she moved to Cape May County four years ago from Philadelphia, where she was a longtime Avon representative. She recently resided at Royal Suites in Galloway Township. She was a member of the Red Hats through Loyalton and enjoyed knitting.

Mrs. Amandeo is survived by her children, Frank (Joann), Natalie (Joe Hollish), Carlo C., Richard (Susan), Robert (Mary), Cathy (Kevin Green), Annie (Mike Steffler), Laurie (Bill Croxton), and Carmen (Linda); her sister, Yolanda; her brother Ralph; 24 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlo R. Amandeo; her sister, Mary DiSanto; and her brothers, Benny, Tony, and Louie Franchetti.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in New Cathedral cemetery, Philadelphia, PA.

Amarose, Anna Maria

Amarose, Anna Maria, age 72, of Cape May Court House, NJ died on Saturday, November 15, 2008. She was a retired sales clerk at Ames Department Store. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 1:00pm at the Cape May County Veterans cemetery.

Ambrogi, Eugene J.

Eugene J. Ambrogi, 89 of Avalon, NJ, died on Monday, February 3, 2003, at the Hollywood Medical Center, Hollywood, FL. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, and lived in Cincinnati, OH for 29 years before moving to Philadelphia and then to Avalon in 1983. He was a member of Maris Stella Church here. He was a Lt. Commander in the US Navy during World War II, a graduate of Penn State University, and a member of Delta Chi Fraternity. He was a chemical engineer and was district manager for forty years for the Betz Laboratories.

He is survived by these children: John Ambrogi and his wife, Mary, of East Brunswick, NJ, Mark Ambrogi and his wife, Donna Lazarick, of Indianapolis, IN, and Pamela Ambrogi of Eatontown, NJ; grandhildren: Adam, Katherine, Nicole, and Daniel. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Hinton Ambrogi on October 9, 2001.

Funeral Liturgy will be said on Monday, February 10, 2003, at 12:00 PM at Maris Stella Church, 50th St. and Dune Dr., Avalon, NJ. Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ. Relatives and friends may call Sunday 2:00 to 5:00 PM and Monday 10:00 to 11:30 AM at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Av., Cape May Court House, NJ.

Ambrogi, Elizabeth M.

Elizabeth M. Ambrogi, 84, of Avalon, died on Tuesday, October 09, 2001 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she had lived in Cincinnati, OH for 29 years before moving to Philadelphia and to Avalon in 1983. She attended Maris Stella Church and was a member of the League of Women Voters.

Mrs. Ambrogi is survived by her husband of 59 years, Eugene J.; her children, John Ambrogi and his wife, Mary of East Brunswick, NJ, Pamela Ambrogi of Eatontown, NJ, and Mark Ambrogi and his wife, Donna Lazarick of Indianapolis, IN; and her four grandchildren, Adam, Katherine, Nicole, and Daniel.

Funeral Liturgy will be said on Saturday, October 13 at 11 a.m. at Maris Stella Church, 50th and Dune Drive, Avalon. A viewing will be held on Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House. Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Cold Spring.

Ambrosano, Angelo J.

AMBROSANO, ANGELO J. on July 2, 2005, of Mt. Laurel, NJ. Formerly of South Philadelphia. Age 87. Beloved husband of Connie (nee Lerza). Loving father of Greg Ambrosano and his wife Donna of Runnemede, NJ and Pamela Thorne and her husband Don of Cherry Hill, NJ. Also survived by his grandchildren: Gabrielle, Matthew, and Mark. Angelo taught welding at Dobbins Technical High in Philadelphia. He was proud to be one of three welders chosen to work on the U.S.S. Olympia (Admiral Dewey's Flagship). Received an M.A. from the University of Penn. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Friday from 10:00-11:00 AM at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church, 1980 Rt. 70 East, Cherry Hill, NJ. Memorial Service will be at 11:00 AM. Ambrose, Elizabeth L.

ELIZABETH L. AMBROSE (Nee Kane), went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 19, 2003 at her home in Mt. Laurel, NJ. She was 64 yrs. of age. Born in Phila., she grew up there and graduated from the Bartrum H.S. in S.W. Phila. She married the late James S. Ambrose and resided in Sharon Hill, PA, before moving to Marlton, NJ where she lived for 20 yrs. before moving to Mt. Laurel five years ago. She is a member of the Marlton United Methodist Church where she sang in the Choir. She is the loving mother of James S. Jr. and his wife Janet of Marlton, NJ, Robert W. of Maple Shade, NJ, Thomas E. and his wife Melissa of Cherry Hill, NJ and Mary Jane Elizabeth Ambrose of Mt. Laurel, NJ. She is also survived by her brothers Charles Kane of DE, James Kane of Delaware Co, PA and Robert Kane of Chester Co, PA and also 4 Grandsons. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday eve from 7:00 - 9:00 PM and on Wednesday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Rd. Ambrosino, Anne M.

Anne M. Ambrosino, 84, of Sea Isle City, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Shore Memorial Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late John V. and Anna M. (Whalen) Pinkerton, she moved here over 35 years ago from Philadelphia. She was a member of St. Joseph's R.C. Church and formerly was the welfare director of Sea Isle City.

Mrs. Ambrosino is survived by her son, Donald Teefy; her sisters, Verna M. Lynch and Joan M. Coll; five grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and her devoted niece, Joanne Ayer. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William D. Teefy, Jr. and Alvaro H. Ambrosino; and her son, William D. Teefy.

Funeral Mass will be said on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 4308 Landis Avenue, Sea Isle City, where viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will be in Holy Sepulchre cemetery, Cheltenham, PA. Memorial donations may be made to Carmelite Monastery, 1400 W. 66th Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19126.

Ames, Alice Elizabeth Dean

Alice Elizabeth Dean Ames, 76, passed away on February 14, 2005. She was born in Millville, NJ on September 23, 1928, and lived her life between Cape May and Atlantic Counties. She is survived by her husband, Ralph F. of 57 years formerly of Atlantic County.

After marriage, she lived and raised her children in Northfield, NJ, where she was actively involved in the Northfield Voluteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and Atlantic County Board Choir as well as a Girl Scout of America troop leader.

Ralph (Gramps) and Alice (Granny) spent the past few years living between Maine, Florida, and Cape May County. A love of traveling in their Safari Motor Home gave them an opportunity to travel the US from Alaska to Florida and anywhere they could park their home in between.

She is also survived by two daughters: Ginni (Mert) Bell and her husband, Don, of Ocean View, NJ, and Cherie Kowalski and her husband, Joe, of Clermont, NJ; two brothers: Richard E. and Jane Dean, and Frank and Rose Marie Chew of Avalon, NJ. She was a beloved grandmother to six grandchildren: Joshua Anderson, Glenn Moffitt and wife, Lita, Tracy Post and husband, John, Bud Ziegler and wife, Crissy, Brett Kowalski, and Katie Bell; and five great grandchildren: John Stuart, Ashlyn and Lynsey Post, along with Jett and Journey Moffitt.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2005, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Av., Cape May Court House, NJ, where the funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, the family has established the Alice E. Ames Educational Fund for the education of her beloved great grandchildren to be sent to Sturdy Savings Bank, Attn: Tara Shipley, 17 South Main St., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.

Ames, Ralph Fuller

Ralph Fuller Ames, 79, passed away January 2, 2007 after a long battle with cancer. He was born September 28, 1927 in Potsdam, NY. Ralph moved to Maine in the early 1930's after the death of his mother Bernerdine Stead on December 29, 1930. He later moved to Atlantic County, NJ where he met and married his wonderful wife of 57 years, Alice E. (Granny), who left us on February 14, 2005.

Ralph (Gramps) was a graduate of Ocean City High School, Class of 1946, and had just recently celebrated his 60-year Class Reunion with his girls, Cherie, Mert and T-Shell. Ralph served in the Navy during WWII. He was an Operating Engineer with the Local 825 for 42 years; several of those years were spent in St. Croix, The US Virgin Islands during the construction of the Hess Oil Refinery. He is a lifetime member of the New Jersey State Fire Fighters Association and at different times during his life he was a member of Tuckahoe, Pleasantville, Northfield and Avalon Fire Departments all located in New Jersey.

After retiring in the summer of 1989 he and wife Alice spent the next several years traveling here there and everywhere in the various motor homes they owned, from Florida to Maine and even the wondrous Alaska, if they could reach it by road and found a spot to park they would be there. The last few years have been spread between Otisfield, Maine, Cape May County, NJ and Chiefland, Florida where family and friends gladly welcomed the duo whenever they arrived. They will be greatly missed by all.

Gramps is survived by his daughters and their spouses, Ginni (Mert) Bell and husband Don of Ocean View, NJ; Cherie Kowalski and husband Joe of Clermont, NJ; His beloved grandchildren Glenn Moffitt of Henderson, NV, Tracy Post and husband John of South Seaville, NJ, Bud Ziegler and wife Crissy of Green Creek, NJ, Brett Kowalski and fiance' Samantha Elliott of Clermont, NJ and Katey Bell of Ocean View, NJ. He also takes with him the wonderfully celebrated spirits of his great grandchildren John, Ashlyn and Lynsey Post of South Seaville, NJ and Jett and Journey Moffitt of Henderson, NV. WE LOVE YOU GRUMPSY!!! 101-year-old Great Aunt Gladys Larkin (Aunt "G") of Augusta, ME and many cousins and extended family from the surrounding Maine area further survive Ralph.

His father Ralph Eugene Ames, January 9, 1989 and grandson Kevin Moffitt, October 19, 2005 predecease Ralph.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ where a funeral service will begin at 7:00 pm. Interment is private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alice E. Ames Educational Fund established in February 2005 after her death, for the continued education of their beloved great grandchildren. All donations can be sent to Tracy Post c/o Alice E. Ames Education Fund, 166 Dennisville Road, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Memorials may also be sent to Haven Hospice, Alternate Route 27, Chiefland, Florida 32626, Ralph's' (Gramps) caregivers for his last several weeks, donations originated by John Masselli.

AMORE, TOMASINA N., on December 6, 2008, of Voorhees, NJ. Formerly of Hazelton, PA. Age 87. Wife of the late George Amore. Loving mother of Anthony Amore and his wife Catherine. Beloved grandmother of Matthew Amore. Also survived by her brother John Vacante, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Thursday December 11, 2008 from 8:30-10:00 AM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt. 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ. Amrose, Louis J.

Louis J. Amrose, 65, of Cape May Court House, died on Tuesday at his home. Born in Woodbine, he has been a lifetime Cape May Court House resident. He was proprietor of Delsea Auto Body on Rte. 47 for over 40 years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the VFW and Fishing Club both of Villas, DAV of Del Haven, Lower Township Moose, and the South Jersey Dart League.

He is survived by his 2 sons: Louis and Paul both of Dias Creek; his 5 daughters: Nancy Pote and Debbie Tomlinson both of North Cape May, Phyllis Bodtmann of Forked River, Gail Hewitt of Kentucky, and Tina Camp of Dias Creek; his sister: Catherine Tozer of Long Branch; and 19 grandchildren.

Graveside funeral service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 19, at the Veterans cemetery, Cape May Court House, NJ.

AMSDEN, Malcolm F., Jr. suddenly on June 5, 2007 of Marlton NJ, formerly of Dedham MA. Age 62. Beloved husband of Nancy A. (nee Mathews) Amsden. Loving father of Milissa and Evan Oltman, Leigh Ann and Massimo Soriano and Jeffrey P. Amsden. Dear grandfather of Cassidy, Breanna, Jakob and Blake. ANASTASIO, Andrew A. on August 7, 2007, surrounded by his loving and devoted family. He was of Mt. Laurel NJ. Age 68. Married to his wife, Marlene (nee Overbeck) and the late Angela (nee Battista). Andy was a devoted father to his sons, Sal (Susan), Neff (Nancy), Drew (Lynda) and Michael. The light of his life were his grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholle, Joey, A.J., Brian, Taryn, Erika (Brad), Samantha and Dane. Step-Children, Wendy (Ed) Ragone, Jerry Stein and Marc (Jill) Stein. Great grandfather of Arielle and Taylor. Brother of Frances, Jerry and Theresa. He was a Mechanical Engineer with Stone and Webster for many years as well as being self-employed. Anaya, Tyler James

Tyler James Anaya, infant son of Jessica and Benjamin Anaya of Cape May Court House, NJ, died on Monday, June 7, 2004. Brother of Brendyn R. Grandson of Louise Sugar, Thomas Stewart, and Audrey & Benjamin Anaya. Great Grandson of Richard Stewart, Marie Kaufmann, Maria Colon and Bertha Davis.

Funeral Liturgy will be said on Thursday, June 10, 2004 at 1:00 PM at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Av., Cape May Court House, NJ, where relatives and friends may call after 12:00 PM. Interment in St. Mary's cemetery, Cold Spring. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.

Andell, Merwin

Merwin L. Andell, of Eatontown died Friday, February 9, 2007 at St Barnabas Hospice Center, Long Branch. He was a mutual clerk for the Meadowlands, East Rutherford and Hialeah Park, Fla. Merwin was a WWII Army veteran, serving at the Battle of the Bulge and Normandy Invasion under General Patton. He was born in Hartford, CT. Merwin was dearly loved by everyone and will be sorely missed.

He was predeceased by a son, Jay. Surviving is his wife, Sebby, a daughter, April Andell and her husband Bill Feingold, Eatontown; and a brother, Sidney Andell, San Francisco.

The funeral service as held graveside on February 12 at Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport. Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch was in charge of the arrangements.

Andersen, Helen M.

Helen M. Andersen, 93, of Rio Grande, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Camden to the late Jan and Josephine (Student) Krzystan, she has lived here over 30 years after moving from Mt. Ephraim. She was a waitress at the Walt Whitman Hotel.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Karla Jo Andersen; her niece, Lillian Wegefarth; and her great niece, Jillian Wegefarth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 1989.

Funeral Mass will be said on Monday, June 29, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 35 East Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be in Cold Spring Presbyterian cemetery.

ANDERSEN, Robert E. on September 1, 2006, of Marlton, formerly of Cherry Hill and born in Woodbury and raised in Camden NJ. Age 78. Beloved husband of Jean G. Andersen (nee Groom). Loving father of 2 daughters, Susan and Steve Fox of Shirley MA and Janet and Dan Bracken of Doylestown PA. Also survived by 3 grandchildren, Ryan, Courtney and Alec and a nephew, Robert Groom and his wife, Nancy and a niece, Mary and her husband, Andy Miner. After a career in sales with various transportation carriers, Mr. Andersen enjoyed working for Hillman Bus Comp. He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge Ionic #94. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Wednesday from 10-11am at the Bradley Funeral Home Rt. 73 and Evesham Rd. Marlton where a Funeral Service will be held at 11am. Also survived by 3 grandchildren, Ryan, Courtney and Alec and a nephew, Robert Groom and his wife, Nancy and a niece, Mary and her husband, Andy Miner. She was the former secretary and treasurer of Robert E. Andersen, Inc. and enjoyed traveling with her husband. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Wednesday from 10-11am at the Bradley Funeral Home Rt. 73 & Evesham Rd. Marlton where a Funeral Service will be held at 11am Wednesday. Interment Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill NJ.
