Beachaump, Karen Y.

Karen Y. Beachaump, 54, of Woodbine, NJ, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2008. Born to Elmer Pete Green and Delores (Lee) Shelton, she lived her whole life in the area. She enjoyed working at the Woodbine Developmental School as a Senior Therapy Program Assistant. She loved decorating, tapping, being the entertainer and fun one of the group, and most of all spending time with her family.

Mrs. Beachaump is survived by her children, Stacy Green, Brian (Rochelle) Beachaump, and Latisha Brathwaite; her mother, Delores Shelton; brothers and sisters, Anthony Green, Sandra Lively, Mary Green, and Scottie Gurdgiel; 9 grandchildren (with twins on the way), and 1 great grandchild (with 1 on the way); her companion, Chester Brathwaite; former husband, Thomas Beachaump; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at 12 noon at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private.

Beale, Jr., Robert G.

Robert G. Beale, Jr., 58, of Cape May Court House, died on Monday, August 6, 2007 at Crest Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Robert G. and Jane (Sullivan) Beale, Sr., he moved here in 1998 from Philadelphia. He was a Coast Guard Veteran of the Vietnam War and was formerly employed by Crown Cork and Seal in Philadelphia. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, and vacationing, especially in Grand Cayman.

Mr. Beale is survived by his former wife, Sharon Beale of Philadelphia; his aunt, Dolores Schmidt of Philadelphia; and many cousins. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 626 North Shore Road, Absecon, NJ 08201.

Beals, William T.

William T. Beals, 65, of Clermont, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2003 at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland. He was born on December 9, 1938. He was a graduate of Middle Township High School Class of 1958. He was a Coast Guard Veteran of the Vietnam War. He served in the Coast Guard and National Guard for 19 years. He worked for the Borough of Haddonfield.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene Beals of Pittsgrove; his son, William T. Beals, Jr. of Brooklawn; his granddaughter; his mother, Alice L. Beals of Clermont; his brother, Charles T. Beals of Spragg, PA; and his sister, Alice Murray of Clermont. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles D. Beals on April 28, 1986.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 19 at 3:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where relatives and friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Asbury Methodist cemetery, Swainton.

Beasley, Mary Lee

BEASLEY, MARY LEE, age 75, of Erma, NJ, died on Thursday, October 9, 2008, at the home of her daugther, Carol L. Eldredge.

She was born in Elkton, VA, the daughter of the late Lester Lee and Della May Morris Shifflett and was an area resident for twenty two years.

She was a member of the Rio Grande Bible Baptist Church. Mrs. Beasley had worked for the Murks Company and Elkton Sewing Company of Elkton, VA; painted for the Hummel Factory in Maryland and was one of their most talented painters and was supervisor of housekeeping at Congress Hall in Cape May.

In addition to her daughter, Carol L. Eldrege and her husband, Vernon, she is survived by four sons: Ray (wife, Elaine) of NC; Pete (wife, Chryl) of Vineland, NJ; Robert (wife, Sue) of NC and Jerry (wife, Sandy) of Cape May Court House, NJ; three sisters: Della Zeigler of Villas; Suzie Cheri and Rachael King both of Maryland; sixteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James A. in 2006; her sister, Bernice Beasley and brother Dick Shifflett and her daughter, Brenda Dilks. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2008, at 11 am at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ where friends may visit from 10 to 11 am. Interment will be in the Rio Grande Baptist cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Rio Grande Baptist Academy, 1007 Rt. 47 So., Rio Grande, NJ 08242.

Beatrice, Sr., Michael Joseph

Michael Jospeh Beatrice, Sr., 72, of Avalon, NJ, died at his home on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2001. He has lived in Avalon for the past 6 months, and splits time between Avalon, NJ, and Port St. Lucie, FL. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a retired School Administrator for the Council Rock School District, Newtown, PA, and retired in 1989 after 31 years of service. He was a member of Maris Stella R.C. Church, Avalon and Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Hilltown, PA. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and the Avalon Seniors. He graduated Bridgeport, PA, High School in 1947 where he played Varsity Sports of Baseball, Basketball, and Football. He graduated W. Chester College in 1951 where he played Baseball. He received his BS in Physical Education, Health, Science, and Social Studies. He served in the U.s. Navy 1951-1955 as Second Class Petty Officer. He received Masters Degree from Temple University and his Pricipal's and Superintendant's Certificates. He taught school in Upper Merion, Bensalem School, and Perkiomen Joint School Districts, where he served as President of the Teachers Association. He was Principal in Bedminster Deep Run Valley School, Wissahicken School, and Council Rock School Districts, from which he retired. He served as President of Bucks County Association of Principals and Administrators while at Council Rock.

His is survived by his wife, Ruth H.; son: Michael J., Jr. of Hilltown, PA; daughters: Dianne Deibler of Franconia, PA, and Gloria Bahmueller of Collegeville, PA; grandchildren: Joseph and Jeremy Deibler, Valerie and Sam Beatrice, Lisa and Randy Bahmueller.

Memorial Funeral Liturgy will be Thursday, Dec. 27, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Rte. 152 and Broad St., Hilltown, PA. There is no calling time. Memorial donations to Compassionate Care Hospice, 58 Mill St., Mount Holly, NJ 08060, or to the Salvation Army, Philadelphia, PA. Interment will be private.

Beatty, James Chetwood

Beatty, James Chetwood, 81, a resident of the Atlantic City Area for 20 years died on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. He was born in Allenhurst, NJ. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. He was retired from the Frank Theatres and Spencer Gifts. He was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. There are no immediate survivors other than two cousins: Dr. Robert Salasin and Jeff Salasin. Graveside funeral services will be Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, at 11:00 AM at Seaside cemetery, Palermo.

Becht/Zborowski, Carol A.

Carol A. Becht/Zborowski, 62, of North Cape May, formerly of SW Philadelphia, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at her home. She was born in Bayonne to the late Joseph and Josephine Gajewski.

Mrs. Becht is survived by her husband, Joseph; her four sons, Michael Zborowski and his wife, Dawn of Alden, PA, Kenneth Zborowski and his wife, Joyce of Philadelphia, Douglas Zborowski and his wife, Renee' of Davie, FL, and David (Colleen) Zborowski of Philadelphia; her daughter, Dana Huggins and her husband, Adam of Boynton Beach, FL; her stepson, Joseph Becht and his wife, Dawn of Washington Township; her two stepdaughters, Bettyann Diarenzo and her husband, Richard of Washington Township, and Michelle Becht of Washington Township; her two brothers, Joseph Gajewski and his wife, Ann of Philadelphia, PA, and Donald Gajewski and his wife, Marcy of Havertown, PA; her two sisters, Diane Tullie and her husband, Richard of Havertown, PA, and Theresa Sweeney and her husband, William of Secane, PA; and her fifteen grandchildren, Michael, Allison, Kenneth, Emily, Samantha, Molli, Zachary, Adam, Tyler, Joseph, Christopher, Nicholas, Juliana, Richard, and Brianna.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private. Beck, Cora E.

Cora E. Beck, 84, of Villas, died on Friday, August 28, 2009 at her home. She was born in Atlantic City, the daughter of the late W. Audley and Edna Hawn Garretson. She was raised in Cape May and was a Cape May High School graduate. She was a member of the Tabernacle United Methodist Church of Erma; enjoyed doing crafts, stamp collecting and being with her grandkids. She worked for the Villas 5 & 10 for forty five years.

She is survived by these children: William C., Jr. (Marlene) of CA; Patricia Robinson of Cape May Court House; Carol (Richard) Kenny of NC; Karen (Stan) Statt of CA; James L. of Erma; Sue (David) Sheldon of North Cape May; Joseph of Villas and Barbara (Bill) Beck of Erma; fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William C., Sr.

BECK, Thomas A.

On August 31, 2006. Of Marlton, NJ. Age 69. Beloved husband of Lois (nee Dietz). Loving father of Sharon Huber (Hank) of Marlton, Diane Rufty (Archie) of Las Vegas, and Lisa Morgenthal (Ken) of Longmont, CO. Devoted grandfather of Jennifer, Becky, Stephen, Archie, III, Thomas, Brandon, Davidson, Joey, Jeremy, Chelsie, Cory, Kelsey and Brooke. Dear brother of Don Beck (Grace) of Cincinnati, Jim Beck (Betty) of Oceanview, DE, Bob Beck (Arleen) of Aiken, SC, and Joe Beck (Linda) of Cincinnati. Mr. Beck worked in tech service and commercial development for ARCO Chemical, retiring in 1992. He was a former member of the Fellowship Golf Group at Ramblewood Country Club, a former Commissioner for Greentree Rec. Beck, Raymond W.

Raymond W. Beck, age 88, of Avalon, NJ, died on Thursday, July 12, 2007, at the Cape Regional Medical Center. He was born in Bryn Mawr, PA, the sixth of nine children of the late Frank Charles and Rita (Kerrigan) Beck. Mr. Beck was nine when his father died and seventeen when his mother died. He was retired from Piseck/Vertol/Boeing as a quality control manager having worked there twenty eight years from 1954 to 1982. He was an Army veteran of World War II being stationed in Hawaii. He was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Wynnewood, PA; served on the vestry board at St. John's Episcopal Church in Avalon, NJ for twenty years and was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church of Stone Harbor, NJ for thirty years. He vacationed in Avalon and Stone Harbor all his life and has been a resident here since 1976. He was a member of the Avalon Planning Board for ten years; served also on the performing arts; was a member of the American Legion and the Avalon Seniors. He was a 1937 graduate of Lower Merion H.S. and was Captain of the District Basketball Team. He attended the Rising Sun School of Aeronautics from 1938-1940.

On June 20, 1942, he married the former Dorothy Shirley Cleaver, who survives; he is also survived by three children: Ronald (Brenda) Beck; Reagan (Susan) Beck; and Richard (Kathryn) Beck; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and these brothers in law and sisters in law: Barbara and Joe Crowley; Nora and Ole Olson; Chick and Nancy Cleaver; and Paulie Barr. He was preceded in death by his son, Raymond W. Beck, Jr. in July, 1966.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 95th St. and 3rd Av. Stone Harbor, NJ. 08247. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery, Cape May Court House, NJ. Beckas, Caroline "Mytey"

Caroline "Mytey" Beckas, 81, of Wildwood, died on Friday, November 10, 2006 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Charles and Carolyn (Schultz) Dea, she had lived in Wildwood for over 20 years. She enjoyed the casinos and loved the ocean, especially taking walks on the beach.

Mrs. Beckas is survived by her sons, David and his wife, Faith of Wildwood Crest, and Steve and his wife, Penny of Pasadena, FL; her brothers, Dutch, Jimmy, and Billy; her sister, Freda; and her five grandchildren, David, Stephen, Frank, Charlene, and Christian. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Beckas; her son, Chuck; and her grandson, Chuck, Jr.

Funeral services will be private.

Becker, William A.

William A. Becker, age 64, suddenly on August 25, 2005. Bill was formerly from Egg Harbor NJ, Brookfield, Ohio and a long-time resident of Marlton NJ.

After graduating from Friends School in Atlantic City, Bill received his undergraduate and MBA degree from Rutgers University and earned his CPA. Bill was president of his fraternity Kappa Sigma Upsilon. Bill enjoyed his family and the outdoors especially skiing and hiking. An entrepreneur, Bill owned and operated many businesses including The Beer Nut in Berlin NJ, and London Wreath Co. and Philadelphia Water Ice in Philadelphia.

Bill's joy of life, lightness and laughter will forever be missed by his loving and devoted wife, Ann Pavulak Becker, and his beloved children William Matthew of Tacoma, WA and Tiffany Ann of Istanbul, Turkey. He is survived by beloved granddaughter Miracle, loving mother-in-law Gwen Pavulak, beloved sister Elizabeth Roller, and devoted nieces and nephews. Bill will also be missed by his fraternity brother and longtime friend Buck Magliano and many others.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted by the family to provide a scholarship in Bill's name through the Rutgers University Foundation.

Becker, Margaret A.

Margaret A. Becker, 91, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Camden to the late John Milton and Edna Mae (Eldredge) Whitaker, she was a lifetime resident of Cape May County. Her family were some of the original settlers of Petersburg and Cape May County in 1742 and 1747. Her grandfather was the overseer of Middle Township. She met all of her friends at McDonald's for sixteen years and was known there as "McNanna" or Grandma. She baked a lot and knitted sweaters and homemade clothing for her grandchildren. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cape May Court House and was strong in her faith.

Mrs. Becker is survived by her daughter, Lois McClure and her husband, George of Cape May Court House; her son, Harry Becker and his wife, Beth of Broomall, PA; her brother, J. Milton Whitaker and his wife, Betty of Goshen; her sisters, Edna Kern and Barbara Hemingway; her sister in law, Bertha Migliaccio; her six grandchildren, Beth, Jeffrey, Allan (Tammy), Jodi, Margaret-Ann, and Scott; her ten great grandchildren, Austin, Brent, Craig, Aiden, Katie, Michael, Tara, Kori, Natalie, and Ariel; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services at Fairview cemetery will be private for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1 Church Street, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.

BECKER, ETHEL D. (nee Walski) of Mt. Laurel, NJ. passed away on December 11, 2003 at home . She is formerly of North Brunswick, NJ and Plains, PA. Age 76. Beloved wife of Leo J. Becker. Loving mother of Joan A. Lewandowski and her husband Ed of North Brunswick, NJ, and Noreen DuBois and her husband Jim of Lumberton, . NJ. Also survived by her step-children, Ronald Becker of Patton, PA, Linda Dindios of Carrolltown, PA, and Dawn Connors of Duncansville, PA, 12 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Ethel was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Robbinsville Elks # 2580. She was a retired welder for Heinemann Electric in Trenton, NJ. BECKER, on June 11, 2003, Elizabeth (nee Renner) of Cherry Hill, formerly of Cramer Hill. Beloved wife of the late Walter E. Becker. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Marion and Thomas Nelson of Cherry Hill, 2 sisters, Emily Kilmartin and Mame Fleming, 5 grandchildren, Bettie Ann Ulrich, Marian Mertis, Thomas Nelson, Marie Krumanocker and the late Walter Nelson and 7 great grandchildren, Michael, Christine, Donna, Tommy, Jimmy, Walter and Samantha. Becker, Patricia A.

Patricia A. Becker, age 63 of Dennisville, died on Friday September 13, 1002 at her home after a long illness. She was born in Camden County, New Jersey before she moved to Cape May County. She was a member of the Woodbine Brotherhood Synagogue. She was employed by the Woodbine Elementary School District in their Caferteria. She started the program and worked it for 30 years until the services were contracted to an outside vendor. She was a member of the NW Dennis Club, the 4-H, the Holly Shores Girl Scouts, the Upper and Dennis Townships PTA and she enjoyed doing puzzles.

She is survived by her husband, Bernard A. "Bunny" of over 34 years; her daughter, Jane A. Becker-Kline and husband, Michael of Washington Township, NJ; a brother, Albert E. Winters, Jr. and his wife Louann of Heislerville, NJ; two sisters Ruth C. Steenland and husband, Ted of Belleplain and Kathleen M. Whilden and husband, Paul of Delmont, NJ. Also survived by eight nieces and nephews and nine grand nieces and grand nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2002 at 12:30 pm at the Woodbine Brotherhood cemetery, Woodbine, NJ. Becker, Faith E.

Becker, Faith E. Age 83. Faith went home to be with the Lord on November 12, 2009. Beloved wife of the late Reverend John H. Becker. She is survived by her loving brother Reverend James M. Riccitelli and wife Ruth, of Toledo, Ohio. Dear mother of her 3 devoted children and their families: son, Daniel Becker and Laurie Zettwoch, son Christian and Marion Becker, and daughter, Dale Faith and Dean Hildebrand, seven grandchildren and numerous great-grand children.

Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and raised in Roselle Park, she attended Saint Paul Bible Institute in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where she met her husband, John Becker of Chicago, Il. Faith loved serving the Lord faithfully and devoted her life to full-time Christian service. She was a trained and gifted musician, with a passion for composing music, singing and playing numerous musical instruments, including the piano, ukulele, accordion and trumpet. Everyone loved her enthusiasm when her ventriloquism doll, "Suzi" seemed to come to life from her suitcase, or, when she used her colorful puppets to tell the wonderful story of Salvation from the Bible.

Faith and John were a dynamic duo, singing and playing duets on the piano and saxophone, she used her many gifts and talents to be a testimony for Jesus. They Pastored numerous churches throughout the Eastern United States and served throughout the U.S. and Hawaii as the National Evangelistic Team for the Brethren Board of Evangelism of the Followship of Grace Brethren Churches.

Faith will be honored as part of a memorial service on Wednesday Nov. 18th at 10 AM at the Wiley Church, 99 E. Main St., Marlton, NJ. A private burial will take place at the Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. Memorial donations may be made to the Wiley Mission.

Becker, Dorothy E. "Dottie" Campbell

Dorothy E. "Dottie" Campbell Becker, Sun City Center, FL, formerly of Long Branch, died Tuesday June 19, 2007 at Hospice at Upper Creek Drive, Ruskin, FL. She worked in the assignment bureau for New Jersey Bell in Long Branch, Red Bank and Shrewsbury. After retiring from NJ Bell she was the head supervisor in communications for 15 years at Riverview Hospital, Red Bank. She was a parishioner of Our Lady Star of the Sea RC Church. She was a member of the Red Bank Elks and the New Jersey Bell Pioneers. Born and raised in Long Branch she lived there most of her life. She also lived in Middletown and Eatontown prior to moving to Florida in 1980.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Patricia Campbell, Manasquan, a sister-in-law, Virginia Hyer, GA, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Sunday June 24 at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue, (on the corner of Third), Long Branch from 6 PM until the time of the service at 7:30 PM.

Her cremains will be entombed at Fairview cemetery, Middletown. Memorial donations are requested to American Cancer Society, 801 Broad Street, Shrewsbury, NJ 07702.

BECKMEYER, Charles

On January 7, 2005 of Magnolia, NJ. Age 77. Beloved husband of the late Joanna. Loving father of Karen E. Beckmeyer and the late Charles F. Beckmeyer. Father in law of June Narducci. Devoted grandfather of Charles (Chris) Beckmeyer and Lindsey Narducci. Also survived by a sister Eleanor Lansberry of Ft Myers, FL; nephews Richard Lansberry of Ft Myers and Charles Lansberry of Dallas, TX and a niece Mary Ann Holt of Tennessee. Mr. Beckmeyer graduated from Bartram High School in Phila and served in the Army Air Force during World War II. He retired as an Assistant Refinery Manager from Gulf Oil at Girard Point after 36 years. He was a member of Washington Lodge #59 F&AM in Phila for over 50 years. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing 7-9pm Wednesday at the BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME, Rt 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton. Funeral Service 10am Thursday at Sacred Heart Church, Broadway at Ferry Ave, Camden, NJ Interment Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, PA.
