Blair, Mary L.

Mary L. Blair, 85, of Ocean View, NJ, died on Sunday, May 6, 2007, at home. She was born in Prospect Park, PA, and lived in Chester Heights, PA before moving here permanently in December, 2005.

Mrs. Blair was the owner of Blair's Florist in Aston, PA from 1961 to 1990, and after the sale came to assist her son, Fred, in his floral shop. She was nationally recognized for her bridal and corsage design.

She is survived by her son, Frederick A., and his partner, Rocky Camma; a brother: Robert E. Waddell and his wife, Jean; and a sister, Gladys Reese.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at 11:00 AM at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ, where friends may visit from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Lawn Croft cemetery, Linwood, PA.

Beatrice M. Blair, 78, formerly of Erma, NJ, died on Sunday, October 12, 2003 at the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House, NJ. She was born in Cape May Court House, the daughter of the late George and Edna Schwartz. She spent her childhood and senior years in Cape May County having lived in Mount Ephraim, NJ. She was a member of the Highland Park Church of God of Gloucester and the Tabernacle Methodist Church of Erma. She played organ and piano for various churches and organizations enjoying singing in choir and duets with her late husband, Lawrence "Jack". She was a faithful, loving wife, mom, and grandmother which were her greatest achievements along with her dedication to her church.

She is survived by her daughter: Robin G. and husband, Ben Menchhofer of Mt. Ephraim; son: Michael J. and wife, Tina of Vineland, NJ; brother: George and wife Esther Schwartz of Rio Grande, NJ; sister: Betty Carlton and husband, Bob of Cape May, NJ; grandchildren: Josh Menchhofer, Lisa Blair, and Zachary

Private graveside services will be at the Cape May County Veterans cemetery. BONGRAZIO, Judith E.

On March 26, 2009. Of Medford. Age 57. Judith leaves behind so many that adored her. Beloved wife to Gary. Devoted mother to Anthony and Alyssa. Joyous grandmother to Torrin. Dear sister to Joseph and Patricia. Daughter to Marie and the late Joseph McGettigan. She was an active member of St Mary of the Lakes Church. Judi devoted much of her life to being an educator in the Mt Holly School district, where she worked with special needs children. She will be forever missed in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Bonforte, Angeline M.

Angeline M. Bonforte, age 86, of Long Branch died Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at home. She taught at Our Lady Star of the Sea Grammar School for 25 years and from 1987 to the present time, she was general manager of Chetkin Gallery, Red Bank. Born in Little Falls, New York she was a life resident of the shore area. A parishioner of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. She was a graduate of the Long Branch High School, a 1939 graduate of Trenton State Teachers College, she was a county committee women for the Democratic Club, President of the Long Branch Democratic Club, member of the Board of the Long Branch Public Library, Co Founder of the St Pietro Apostolo Society. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Rocco N. Bonforte in 1975, who was the former Long Branch Postmaster and City Commissioner and a daughter Mary Ann Bonforte.

Surviving are two daughters and two sons in law, Mary Ann and Thomas Ierubino, Potomac, Maryland; Carol Lynn and Donald Chetkin, Long Branch; a sister, Rose Reichert, Davenport, Iowa; a granddaughter and her husband Deborah and Kreag Maloy; a great grandson, Zachary; nieces and nephews, Ann Marie and Joseph Sirianni, Dr Harold Sleavin, Thomas and Amy Sleavin.

Relatives and friends may call at the Damiano Funeral Home, corners of Third and Franklin avenues on Thursday, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral, Friday, October 10, at 8:30 am from the funeral home followed by a 9:30 am Mass at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Long Branch. Interment will be Mt. Carmel cemetery, West Long Branch. Bonforte, Robert

ROBERT BONFORTE, 73, Boonton, formerly of LONG BRANCH, died Monday, Sept. 13, at St. Clare's Hospital, Denville. He was retired from the Monmouth County Maintenance Department after many years of service. He was also a volunteer with the Branchport Hose Company of the Long Branch Fire Department for many years. Born in Long Branch, he lived in Neptune before moving to the Fireman's Home in Boonton.

He was predeceased by his parents, Roy and Carmella Rongo Bonforte; and his brother, Richard. Surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy and Miriam Bonforte of Long Branch, and John and Barbara Bonforte of Oceanport; a sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Donald Anderson of Whiting, Manchester; a niece, Barbara Jean Percello of Ocean Township; and 10 nieces and nephews living in Long Branch, Oceanport and Ocean Township.

All services will be private. In his memory, memorial donations may be made to the Fireman's Home, 565 Lathrop Ave., Boonton, NJ 07005. Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch, is in charge of the arrangements.

Bonkowski, Kevin J.

BONKOWSKI, Kevin J., suddenly on August 5, 2003, of Southampton, formerly of Presidential Lakes and Marlton. Age 37. Beloved husband of Christine Powers Bonkowski. Loving son of Richard & Patricia Bonkowski of Marlton. He is survived by 2 brothers, Richard Bonkowski Jr. and his wife, Kimberly and Sean Bonkowski, 2 stepsons, Eric and Brad Powers, his grandfather, Stephen Bonkowski and a niece, Olivia. Linda Booker age 48 of Long Branch, died Friday, September 5, at St Francis Medical Center, Trenton. She was a bus operator for the New Jersey Transit for 12 years. She was born in Brooklyn, NY. She was predeceased by her father James DaCruz. Surviving are her children, Lewis, Tanya and a daughter in law Kutisa, her mother, Virginia DaCruz, 3 grandchildren, James, DJ and Akaila, 2 sisters, 7 brothers, host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, her goddaughter, Lena Burden, her best friend, Tahira Johnson, her companion, Tony Moore and family and friends.

Verna Booket, age 90 of Long Branch died Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at Monmouth Care Center, Long Branch. She was a nurse's aid at the Willows Nursing Home. Born in Highlands, she had lived in Long Branch from the past 5 years. She was predeceased by her husband Edward. Surviving is a son Earl; 2 sisters, Dolores Conner, and Lyla Lupo; and 2 grandchildren.

Boos, John J.

JOHN J. BOOS, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 8, 2005 at his home in Medford, NJ. He was 87 years of age. Born in Philadelphia, PA., he was the son of the late Benjamin M. and Sarah T. (Nee Kane) Boos and the husband of the late Marie J. Boos. A retired Union Carpenter and Mill Wrighter, he was a member of the N.J. Carpenter's Union #1489 of Burlington, NJ. He is survived by his three daughters, his sister and many Grandchildren. Bordell, Kandy F.

Bordell, Kandy, F., 45, of Cape May Court House, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at her home. Born in Crisfield, MD to Woodrow and Carolyn (Tull) Cullen, she worked in various nursing homes in Toledo, OH after receiving her nursing degree in 2000 from Owens Community College. She moved to New Jersey in 2007 and continued nursing.

Along with her parents, Kandy is survived by her daughters, Nichole McCready of Findlay, OH, Brittani Bordell currently at the University of Toledo and her son Dylan Bordell of Cape May Court House, NJ.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bradshaw and Sons Funeral Home, 306 West Main Street, Crisfield, MD. Bordo, Sr., Vincent P.

BORDO, suddenly on October 23, 2003, VINCENT P., SR. of Marlton, NJ. Formerly of South Philadelphia. Age 78. Loving husband of Loretta (nee Sierchio). Son of Josephine Borda. Beloved father of Vincent J. of Marlton and M. Carmine and his wife Terry of Deptford, NJ. Also survived by his brothers and sisters: Pasquale Borda Summerfield, FL, Joseph Borda of S. Phila., Clara Fanelli of Livermore, CA, Rose Levesque of PA. and Celie Candeloro of Blackwood, NJ. Mr. Bordo was a veteran of the US Navy and served his country during WWII. After the war he worked as a tile and marble installer. He was a member of Local #6 Tilesetters Union in Phila., and the International Brotherhood of Magicians #165 in Oaklyn, NJ. Borelli, Vincent J.

Vincent J. Borelli age, 53 of Ocean died Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at St Barnabas Hospice Center, Long Branch after a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Borelli has a BA from Montclair State University and a MA from Hunter College of the City University of New York. He has a supervision certificate from Monmouth University. Born in Hoboken, he had lived in Long Branch before moving to Ocean 18 years ago. Mr. Borelli appeared in numerous theatrical productions. He was in his 33rd year of teaching in the Long Branch Public Schools as a speech and theatre educator. His present role was Head Teacher for the Visual and Performing Arts. Mr. Borelli was voted "Best Director" at the Bucks County Playhouse, 21 times. He coached his students to the following achievements; 27 District Champions and 17 State Champions in Forensics and Speech. His students also were named Speech and Forensic State Team Champions in 1984, 1990 and 1996. Mr. Borelli is the winner of the "Outstanding Teacher of Speech and Theatre Award" in 1998 by the Speech and Theatre Association of New Jersey, and earned the "Teacher of the Year" in 1988 and 2000 representing Long Branch High School and the Long Branch Public School's as "District Teacher of the Year." He was also the winner of the Speech and Theatre's "Distinguished Achievement Award" in 1990. The NAACP honored Mr. Borelli in 1993 with the "NAACP Freedom Award". The Long Branch High School Student council voted him the "Educator of the Year" in 1989 and 1996. He and Mrs. Angela Mangione-Borelli were voted "Man and Woman of the Year" in 1998 by the Figli di Colombo Society, Long Branch for their service in education. He was voted the "Outstanding Teacher of the Speech Arts" by the New Jersey Forensic League in 1999. Recently in May 2000, he won his fourth Governor's Award in Arts Education as the "Outstanding Educator of the Year" by the Very Special Arts Education of the Year in 2002. He was awarded the Monmouth County Arts Educator of the Year in 2003. Put all awards aside, his treasurers are his wife Angela and daughters Annamaria and Antonia.

Visitation will be at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave. (corner of Third Ave.), Long Branch on Sunday, April 24, from 1-5 pm. Funeral Monday, 8:30 am at the funeral home followed by a 9:30 am Mass at St Mary of the Assumption Church, Deal. Entombment will be at Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport. Borneman, Alice M.

Alice M. Borneman, 66, of Wildwood Crest, passed away, Sunday, August 13, 2006 at 2:00 p.m., after a 22 year battle with cancer, at Crest Haven Nursing Home, surrounded by her family. Born in Hazleton, PA to the late Dwight and Margaret (Wolfe) Gregory, she moved here over 35 years ago from Delaware County, PA. Alice, an integral member of the community, was a business education teacher and the business department chairman at Wildwood High School. She was a past secretary of the Wildwood Education Association, a member of the Soroptimist club and Delta Pi Epsilon, past President of the Wildwood Crest Volunteer Ambulance Auxiliary and named into the Who's Who of American Women in 1992. Alice was also a member, lector, Eucharistic Minister, Leader of Song, member of the choir, and past President of the Alter & Rosary of Church of the Assumption. Alice always believed it was her responsibility to share what she learned about cancer and it's various treatments with others. Even when she was diagnosed with brain cancer, after a 7 year remission, and given only 3 months to live, she didn't give up. She found a new treatment and 9 years later continued to educate others of it's possibilities. She was co-founder of the Cancer support group at Burdette Tomlin, an original member of the board for the Love of Linda foundation and a Reach to Recovery volunteer. Alice was named CAP Volunteer of the Year in 1996 by the American Cancer Society for all her contributions to the breast cancer patients and families of Cape May County. Alice loved simple pleasures; reading a good book, taking a walk on the beach, playing bridge and most of all, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Alice is survived by her husband, Edward, her mother, Margaret Smith also of Wildwood Crest, her brother, Clayton Smith of Wildwood, her four children, Margaret Terrana and her husband John, of Piscataway, NJ, Linda Tomlin and her husband Mark, of Wildwood Crest, Ed Borneman, of Lahaina, HI, and Clayton Borneman of Leesburg, NJ, and her four grandchildren, Alison and Emily Terrana and Tyler and Jaxon Tomlin. Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Assumption, 7110 Seaview Avenue, Wildwood Crest. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2006 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery . Bossone, Joseph

Joseph Bossone, age 91 of Long Branch, died Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. He worked as a Butcher for Grand Union in Allenhurst. He was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. Born in Long Branch, he was a life long resident. Joseph was predeceased by his first wife Grace Minucci Bossone in 1955; his parents, Dominic and Rose Ferraro Bossone; his step-mother Yolanda Bossone; brother Vincent Bossone and three sisters, Raffaella Bossone, Mary Palumbo and Nancy Margulio. Surviving is his wife of 48 years, Gianna Ferraro Bossone; four daughters, Rose Graziano and her husband Dominic of Eatontown, Joyce Villano and her husband Vincent of Oceanport, Victoria Leanza and her husband Anthony of Tinton Falls, and Rita Cianci and her husband Giuseppe of Tinton Falls; one sisiter, Louise DeSibio of Manasquan; three brothers, Dominic Bossone of Manasquan, John Bossone, of Youngstown Ohio and Carmen Bossone of Bricktown; seven grandchildren; Wayne, Lori, Dina, Dana, David, Christina and Sebastian Joseph; and three great grandchildren Dillon, Madison and Felicia. Mr. Bossone will truly be missed by all, and will always be remembered for his heart of gold, sincerity and kindness to all, especially his family.

Bouchard, Anna Donnell

Anna Donnell Bouchard, 86, of Woodbine, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2004 at her home. She was born in Woodbine to the late Andrew and Mary (Minarik) Filachek and was a lifetime resident here. She was a member of St. Casimir's Roman Catholic Church, where she was a Eucharistic Minister, the Senior Citizens of Dennis Township; and the Secular Franciscan Order, Ave Maris Stella Fraternity.

Mrs. Bouchard is survived by her daughter, Jo-Ann Wettstein and her husband, Dale of Millville; her sons, Robert J. Donnell and his wife, Deborah of West Grove, PA and Thomas S. Donnell and his wife, Susanna of Seminole, FL; her stepdaughters, Margaret Girardo and her husband, Salvatore of Haddonfield, and Helen Dunspaugh of Egg Harbor Township; her stepsons, Thomas Bouchard and his wife, Kathy of Egg Harbor, and Martin Bouchard and his wife, Renee of Gloucester; her sister, Agnes Knell of East Brunswick; four grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph S. Donnell on April 8, 1974 and Alonzo Bouchard on May 17, 1991.

Funeral Liturgy will be said on Monday, March 15, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Casimir's Church, 304 Clay Street, Woodbine. A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 14 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House and on Monday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Holy Cross cemetery, Millville. Boucher, Priscilla

Priscilla Boucher, 87, of Orange, NJ formerly of Sicklerville and Newark died Sunday.

Mrs. Boucher was born in Rumford, Maine and lived in Newark for 50 years, moving to Sicklerville in 1988, and living the last 6 years in Orange. She is a member of St. John Neumann Church, Sicklerville. She is the wife of the late Gerard J. Boucher.

Surviving are 1 nephew William Cyr and 2 nieces Judith Ward and Alice Leibrand.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM Wednesday at St. John Neumann Church, 234 Sicklerville Road, Sicklerville.

A viewing will be held 9:30 to 10:30 AM Wednesday at the Bell-Hennessy Funeral Home, 420 South main Street, Williamstown. Interment St. John's cemetery, Rumford, Maine.

Boughton Jr., Alfred G.

ALFRED G. BOUGHTON JR. of Marlton, NJ, passed way on Monday, September 8, 2003 at the VA Hospital in Phila., PA. He was 68 yrs. of age. Born in Bronx, NY, he is the son of the late Alfred G. and Gladys Boughton. A resident of Marlton for the past 32 yrs. he was a VP of Property Management for George David Residential Property Management in Phila, PA where he worked for 12 years prior to his retirement in 2000. A Veteran of the US Marine Corp he attained the rank of Cpl. and was a member of the V.F.W. and a former member of the V.F.W. Post 6295 in Marlton, NJ. He is the beloved husband of 44 yrs. of Maria B. (Nee Paterno) Boughton of Marlton, NJ, and loving father of Alfred N. of Marlton, Nicholas of Marlton and Kevin M. of Washington Twp., NJ. He is also survived by his Grandchidren Sandra, Nicholas Jr., Christina, Vincent, Anthony and Brianna and also 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Bourke, Virginia B.

Virginia B. (nee Wysocki) Bourke, 87, of Stone Harbor, died on Tuesday, May 6, 2003 at her home. She was born in South River, NJ and moved here permanently from Wilmington, DE in 1980 after summering here since 1970. She was a member of St. Paul's Church in Stone Harbor.

Mrs. Bourke is survived by her husband, Francis E. Bourke; and her sisters, Viola Kelly, Emily Ana Pfeifer, and Steff Bright. Funeral Liturgy will be said on Friday, May 9 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, 99th Street and Third Avenue, Stone Harbor. Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Cold Spring.

Bouton-Kneipp, Charlotte Eldredge

Charlotte Eldredge Bouton-Kneipp, 94, of Dennisville, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2008. Mrs. Kneipp was the daughter of the late Judge and Mrs. Henry Hand Eldredge of Cape May. On her paternal side, her ancestry goes back to the earliest settlers of the county, John Howland the Pilgrim, and at least five proven patriots of the American Revolution.

Born in West Cape May, Mrs. Kneipp graduated from Cape May High School and Wilson College, Chambersburg, PA with a degree in history and political science.

Mrs. Bouton Kneipp was an ardent and active Democrat serving as a Democratic State Committeeman from Cape May County and delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia in 1948. She lived in Washington, D.C. during her working years where she served as Executive Secretary to members of the House of Representatives for many years with the Honorable Mary T. Norton of New Jersey. Her interests also included serving and volunteering with the Democratic National Committee.

Upon her retirement, Mrs. Bouton Kneipp returned to Dennisville and maintained a life long membership in the Cold Spring Presbyterian Church where she served as former treasurer and elder. She continued her interest in history serving as President of the Cape May County Historical and Genealogical Society, volunteered at the Museum and was a member of the Board of Trustees. She was also a member of the Cape May Patriots Chapter; the D.A.R. and the Society of Mayflower Descendants.

On August 26, 2006, she was honored by the Cape Women's Resource Fund, Inc. for the 86th Anniversary of Women's Suffrage and Ratification of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Mrs. Bouton Kneipp traveled widely in her retirement in the United States, Europe, Asia and Africa.

She was the widow of James O. Bouton, an attorney and executive in the U.S. Post Office Dept. In 2005, she married Clifford J. Kneipp who survives. She is also survived by her sister, Janet Eldredge Vance of Cape May Court House; two nephews and a niece; and members of the Bouton and Kneipp extended families.

A service of Remembrance and Resurrection will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2008, at Noon at the Cold Spring Presbyterian Church, 780 Seashore Road, Cold Spring, NJ. A viewing will be held at the Church from 10:30 to Noon with interment to follow in the historic Cold Spring cemetery. Gifts in her name made be made to the Cold Spring Presbyterian Church, 780 Seashore Road, Cold Spring, NJ 08204.
