Charles R. Britton age 57 of Manasquan died Friday May 23, 2003 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Brixius, Florence A.

Florence A. Brixius age 87, of Long Branch died Saturday, January 31, 2004 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She was an inspector for General Electric, Springfield before retiring. Born in Brooklyn, she had lived in Toms River before coming to Long Branch in 1992. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Brixius. Surviving are a step son and a step daughter in law, Alan and Cathy Brixius, Connecticut; 2 nephews and their spouses, Donald and Kathleen Scherer, Bayonne, Francis and Diane Scherer, Parlin; a niece and her husband, Lynn and Jack French, Phillipsburg.

BRODERICK, William E. on October 3, 2006 of Marlton NJ, formerly of Yonkers NY. Age 61. Beloved husband of Marguerite 'Marge' E. Broderick (nee Gottko). Loving father of James and his wife, Siobhan, Brian and his wife, Kristin and Timothy and his fiancée, Jill. Dear brother of Patricia Pinto and dear Poppy of Brigh, Bailey, Abbey, Nolan, Liam and Harley. A veteran of the US NAVY, Mr. Broderick served during the Vietnam War. He was employed with NY Bell, AT&T and Lucent Technologies. Bill was a member of IBEW Local #827. Bronis, Eleanor

Eleanor Bronis, 85, of Rio Grande, NJ, died on Wednesday, May 1, 2002, at the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House, NJ. She was born in Yonkers, NY, and lived here for the past twenty six years. She was a member of the Grace Gospel Chapel here. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon. Brooks, Gertrude M.

Gertrude M. Brooks, 95, of Avalon, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2004 at her home. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late George Neville and Agnes Mary (Mitchell) Leiper, she had lived here for over 40 years after moving from Wyckoff. She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Stone Harbor, the DAR, and the Avalon Garden Club. She was a volunteer for the Women's Auxiliary at BTMH. She enjoyed gardening and travelling and was an avid swimmer.

Mrs. Brooks is survived by her children, Sandra Arai and her husband Taka of Los Angeles, CA, Anne Crews of Enumclaw, WA, Sheila Buckley and her husband, John of Wilmington, DE, Mary Madden and her husband, Doug of Lake Tahoe, CA, and David Brooks and his wife, Lynne of Idaho; 13 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Wilbur Brooks in 1993.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 95th Street and Third Avenue, Stone Harbor, where friends may call after 10:30. BROSTRAND, Grace R. (nee Robinson) on January 5, 2007, resident of Wiley Christian Community in Marlton, formerly of Cherry Hill. Age 89. Beloved wife of the late Arthur C. Brostrand. Loving mother of Linda L. O'Neill (Gene), Arthur C. Brostrand (Cathy), Roy W. Brostrand (Jeannie), Kenneth P. Brostrand (Christine) and Karen J. Curran (Terry). Devoted grandmother of Kenneth, Kristen, Brian, Tara, Heather, Dawn, Jennifer, Andrew, Kyle, Caitlyn, Christopher, Justin and Alex and great grandmother of Kayla, Sophia, Juliana and Landyn. Dear sister of Paul V., Walter C., Roy A and the late George W. Robinson. Grace is also survived by many loving cousins and close friends. Just a few of the qualities Grace's family and friends will remember her for are her gentleness, kindness, sense of humor, patience and words of comfort and wisdom.

An active member of Trinity Pres. Church, she was an elder, director of the Trinity Nursery School and manager of Care `N Share. Mrs. Brostrand was a teacher at Sharp Elementary School, Cherry Hill and served as a Board Member for Wee Love Day Care, Maple Shade.

Broughton, Sr., Charles A.

Charles A. Broughton, Sr., age 46, of Atlantic City, NJ, died on Friday, July 3, 2009, at the City Division of ACRMC. He was born in Vineland, NJ, the son of the late Daniel and Mary Holbrook Broughton. He had served in the U.S. Army. He was currently employed by the Taj Mahal Casino as a security guard.

He is survived by his children: Charles, Jr., Daniel, Andre, Mary, Patricia, Desiree, Alexis and Tabitha; his brothers and sisters: Stanley, Garland, Herbert, James, Daniel, Wayne, Barbara, Shirley, Joyce and Thelma.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 13, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Main St., Whitesboro, NJ, where friends may visit at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Household of Ruth cemetery, Whitesboro, NJ. The memorial foundation in his name will be announced at the service.

Brown, Alphonzio

Alphonzio Brown, 89, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2004 at Crest Haven Nursing Home. He was born in Clarkton, NC and moved here in December of 2002 from Baltimore, MD. He was a deacon at the Baptist Church of East Baltimore.

Mr. Brown is survived by his daughter, Edith Boyd of Whitesboro; his son, Eugene Fryer of Jessica, MD; 8 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 12 at 12:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Whitesboro, where relatives and friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Mt. BROWN, George E.

On January 25, 2007. Age 85. Of Franklin Square Village, Glendora, formerly of Pennsauken. Beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Martin). Father of the late Victor Voigt. Survived by a son Ronald Brown, a daughter Bonnie Horner, 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, a brother Edward Brown and a sister Miriam Rhile. Mr. Brown was a World War II Veteran of the Navy. He worked for over 15 years with John T. Plasket Electric in Merchantville, was a Life Member of the Highland Fire Co. in Pennsauken, and a member of the Franklin Square Senior Citizens Club. Brown, Ann H.

Ann H. Brown, (nee Heslip), 86, of Cape May Court House, formerly of Villas, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 7, 2006.

Born in Ardmore, PA, she and her family moved to Villas in 1948. Mrs. Brown was involved in many civic and religious organizations. She was a former member of the Lower Township Democrat Club and a Civil Defense Warden during the Cold War. She was a major fund raiser for the start up of Burdettte Tomlin Memorial Hospital in the early 1950's. She was a former member of St. Raymond's Church, belonging to the Altar & Rosary Society and teaching CCD Classes. She was also a member of the St. Raymond's PTA. She was most recently a communicant at Our Lady of the Angels Church in Cape May Court House.

She was employed at the Woodbine Developmental Center during the 1970's.

Mrs. Brown was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Raymond A. Brown in 1985; a daughter Anne L. Reichner; a son James Jay Brown; a grandson Marc D. Brown; and daughter in law Gail S. Brown.

She is survived by her loving family: one daughter, Mary M. Sokorai (Edward), with whom she lived, of Cape May Court House; five sons, Raymond S. (Betty Ann) of North Cape May, David J. of Brant Beach, Lawrence A. (Ina) of Cape May, Gerald R. (Jane) of Virginia Beach, VA, John A. (Kathleen) of Philadelphia, PA; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. Also survived by one brother, Raymond Heslip (Jean) and one sister, Dorothy Raimo, both of Ardmore, PA and her dear friend, Mrs. Ruth Hartman of Dias Creek.

Funeral Liturgy will be said on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 35 East Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House, where friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Burial will be private. Brown, Helen L.

BROWN, Helen L. (nee Levens). On February 13, 2008 of Cherry Hill, NJ. Age 90. Devoted wife of the late Edmund Brown for fifty-eight years. Loving mother of Donna Hallowell and her husband Roland and Edmund "Lanny" Brown and his wife Patricia. Caring grandmother of Matthew Davis, Dina DeLisle, Peter Brown, Elizabeth Detmer and Kathleen Brown. Dear great-grandmother of Caroline DeLisle, Christopher DeLisle, Jackson Davis, Joshua Davis and Molly Brown. Brown, Richard

Richard Brown, 69, of Rio Grande, died July 10, peacefully in his home with wife Peggy, daughter Nicole, and granddaughter Peggy Jones by his side. Richard was a lifelong resident of Cape May County. He was a decorated Army veteran who served in the Korean War.

He is survived by two sons, Richard and Maurice Brown of South Carolina; and three daughters from South Carolina, Marlene Williams, Tonya Davis, and Darlene Brown; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Surviving siblings include Louis and Henry Brown of Cape May Court House, William Brown from Wildwood, Sara Porter from Wildwood, Dora Dixon from Woodbine, Rose Hamer and Nancy Ginyard of Cape May Court House.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery.

RICHARD A. BROWN of Willingboro, NJ, went home to be with the Lord suddenly on Wednesday, September 24th, 2008 at the Lourdes Medical Center in Willingboro, NJ. He was 64 yrs. of age. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA he has resided most of his life in Willingboro, NJ. He is a retired Manager for Stop n Shop in Whiting, NJ and a faithful member of Shawnee Baptist Church in Shamong. He is the Beloved Son of Mildred V. Brown (Nee Bowman) of Willingboro, NJ and the Loving Brother of Carolyn E. Moore and her husband Stan of Apopka, FL and his two nieces Sharon L. Snead and Gloria Camiscioni both of Flowery Beach, GA. Brown, Valerie Fotheringham

Valerie Fotheringham Brown, of Shadow Lake Village, Red Bank died Tuesday May 4, 2004 at home. She attended Katharine Gibbs Secretary School, becoming an executive secretary for many years before retiring. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Long Branch. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she lived in Oceanport before moving to Red Bank in 1989. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard W. Brown in 1985. Surviving is her step daughter, Annette Boland of Oceanport; 2 step grandchildren, Charles Boland and Nancy Ann Mackin; and four step great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 7 at 10:00 am at Glenwood cemetery, West Long Branch. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to First Presbyterian Church of Long Branch, 167 Cedar Avenue, Long Branch, NJ 07740. Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch is in charge of arrangements.

Brown, Rev. Robert Harvey

Rev. Robert Harvey Brown, 78, of Cape May Court House, NJ, and formerly of Pennsauken, NJ, died on Monday, August 25, 2003, at the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House. Rev. Brown was born and raised in Camden, NJ, and worked as a tool and die maker. He was also an ordained minister in the United Methodist Church, having served nine churches in Camden and Cape May Counties. He taped the church services so that shut-ins were able to hear the services at their homes. He was a 33rd degree mason and was a former member of the Ionic Lodge #94 of Cherry Hill, NJ, and a current member of the Canon Lodge #104 of South Seaville, NJ.

He is survived by his wife: Betty (nee Chase); two daughters: Betsy Young and husband, Bruce, and Barbara Kraemer and husband, Larry, both of Cape May Court House; five grandchildren: Greg Young and wife, Amy, of Del Haven, NJ, Dan Young and wife, Jamie, of Goshen, NJ, Terri Sipple and husband, Raymond, of Cape May Court House, Andrea Kraemer of Nicholasville, KY, and fiancee, B.J. Williamson of Wilmore, KY, and Patricia George and husband, Gary, of Fayetteville, NC; and five great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2003 at 11:00 AM at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Av., Cape May Court House, where friends may call 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Fairview cemetery, Cape May Court House. Brown, Harry "Sam" E.

Harry E. "Sam" Brown, 41, of Ocean View, died on Wednesday, December 18, 2002 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. He was born in Moundsville, WV and moved here 15 years ago.

He is survived by his companion, Toni Jean Hamann; his children, Halley and Maxwell; his brother, Chris Brown of Moundsville, WV; and his sisters, Brenda Schrumpf of Moundsville, WV, and Cheryl Haught of Maryland.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House. Interment is private.

Brown, Lawrence M.

Lawrence B. Brown, 86, of North Wildwood, NJ, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2002 at home of natural causes. Mr. Brown was born in Media, PA on August 6, 1916 and attended Media Schools where he was valedictorian of his class in 1934. He graduated from University of Pennsylvania and Temple Law School with a Juris Doctor Degree. He married the former Janet E. Wolfgang in 1942. Larry enlisted in the Army Air Force in December, 1943 and was trained to pilot the B-17 aircraft. As First Lieutenant in the 548th Bombardment Squadron; 385th Bombardment Group (H), he completed 35 bombardment missions over enemy occupied Europe as First Pilot. Meritorious achievement in aerial combat by Lt. Brown earned him five Oak Leaf Clusters to the Air Medal and the European Theatre Ribbon with five battle stars. Larry was honorably discharged in September, 1945, when he was inducted into the Lucky Bastard Club of the 385th Group for flying 35 missions.

After the War, the Browns moved to York, PA and lived on a farmette and raised five children. Larry was president of the Methodist Men's Club at the Asbury United Methodist Church in York and was a district commissioner of the York Adams Council of the Boy Scouts. He worked for several corporations as an industrial relations and personnel manager. He served as Dean of York Junior College and taught middle school in the York City School System. After retirement, the Browns moved to North Wildwood, NJ. Mr. Brown was a member of the Air Force Association and first post commander of the V.F.W. Post 5941 in North Wildwood, NJ. He was a member of the Jersey Cape Chapter of TROA, the Cold Spring Presbyterian Church, and the Men's Club.

He is survived by his wife, Janet of 60 years; and sons, Lawrence and his wife, Mina, Robert and his wife, Diana, and John and his wife, Darlene; one daughter, Elizabeth Maneval; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, James who is interred in Arlington National cemetery.

Services will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cold Spring Presbyterian Church, Seashore Road, Cold Spring where friends may call at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Church cemetery. Memorials may be made in his name to the Church.
