Carlo, Jerry M., on March 17, of Mt. Laurel. Loving husband of Carole (nee DeMartini). Father of Donna and her husband Robert H. Outcault of Mt. Laurel. Survived by his grandson Chase. Jerry served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was retired from General Accident, where he served as Assistant Vice President. He was an avid photographer, and loved spending time riding his bike. Carlton, Cora May

Cora May Carlton, 94, of Cape May, NJ, died on Saturday, February 15, 2003, at the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House, NJ. She was born in Green Creek, NJ, and was a lifetime area resident.

She was the widow of the late George E. Carlton. She was an active member of the Tabernacle United Methodist Church of Erma, NJ, and a member of the Women's Church Auxiliary, the Cape May Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and was active in nursing home ministry in Florida where she visited many patients.

She is survived by a daughter: Gloria E. Gibson of Stuart, FL and Sea Isle City, NJ; son: Robert H. and his wife, Betty, of Cape May, NJ; six grandchildren: Beverly Cardaci, Deborah Sherba, Barbara Lindsey, Sandra Axelson, Mark and Garry Gibson; seventeen great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren: Garrett, Mya, and Gabrielle.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2003, at 11:00 AM at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Av., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210, where friends may call at 9:30 AM. Interment will be in Cold Spring Presbyterian cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ. Memorials may be made to the Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 656 Seashore Rd., Erma, NJ 08204.

Carman, Sr., James S.

James S. Carman, Sr., 66, of Belleplain, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Bridgeton to the late Joseph Tucker and Laura (Shaw) Carman, Jr., he was a lifetime resident of this area. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was formerly employed at the Southern State Correctional Facility and worked as a contractor with Carman's Excavating. He enjoyed farming. He was a member of PBA Local 105.

Mr. Carman is survived by his wife, Louise R. (nee Yank) Carman of Belleplain; his children, James S. Carman, Jr. and his wife, Nicole, Edward Champion, III and his wife, Cherie, and Dana Kent and her husband, Linwood; his brothers, Bobby Carman and his wife, Renee', and Joe Carman and his wife, Dottie; his sister, Joyce Brewer and her husband, George; his six grandchildren, Jennifer Nicole Carman, Gabrielle Kent, James S. Carman, III, Christopher James Champion, Ryan Champion and Brandon Champion; many nieces and nephews; and his dog, Lil' Emmi.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, April 23, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 2373 Route 9, Ocean View, where visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private. Carney, Stacey L.

STACEY L. CARNEY went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 9th, 2008 at the Van Dyke Hospice Center in Toms River, NJ. She was 41 yrs. of age. Born in Mt. Holly, she has resided in Medford, NJ for most of her life. Stacey is a 1989 graduate of Lenape High School and will always be remembered as a caring and compassionate young woman who loved animals, especially her dolphins. She is the Beloved daughter of Rodger & Lynda Carney of Medford, NJ and the loving sister of Greg Carney and his wife Susannah of Canton, GA and Jodi Mundy and her husband Ron of Lumberton, NJ. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Avery and Cooper Carney and Aidan and Sophie Mundy. She will be deeply missed by her family and her friends. CARNEY, John T., Jr.

On August 25, 2009. He lived in Shamong for 30 years before moving to Marlton 3 years ago. Survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty (nee Ingram), his daughter Susan Middleton (David), his son John Carney (Laurel Ballentine) and grandson Patrick Eldredge. He was a US Navy Veteran and a member of the Marlton VFW. He was employed by IBM for 34 years before his retirement. CAROLAN, Hugh L. III suddenly on November 2, 2006, of Voorhees NJ, formerly of Bergen County NJ and Providence RI. Age 54. Beloved husband of Angela P. Stephan (nee Perillo). Loving father of Erin E. and Megan A. Carolan and Kristen A. Stephan. Devoted son of Hugh L and Alice L. Carolan and son in law of Minnie Perillo. Dear brother of Matthew and his wife, Gina Carolan, Moira and her husband, Kevin Brooks and Anne and her husband, Michael Cioffi. Also survived by his beloved nephew and nieces, Michael & Jennifer Cioffi and McKenna Carolan. He is the son of the late Carol Anne Carolan. Mr. Carolan was a Polystrene Sales Manager - North America for Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. and had worked for Chevron for over 20 years. He was a member of Hope United Methodist Church, Voorhees. Carosia Jr. (Maryrose) of Leonardo NJ, Lisa C. (William K.) Ballatyne of Lititz PA and June C. (Keith L. ) Wapner of Media PA. Dear grandmother of Marisa (Seth) Donecker and Peter & Charles Wapner and dear sister of Joseph Schettino, Anita Schettino and Nicolette Van Hook. She was born and raised in East Orange NJ and graduated from Rutgers University with a Pharmaceutical degree. She was a Pharmacist for over 25 years and worked at Leopold's Pharmacy in Haddon Heights. Carpenter-Owens, Josephine M.

Josephine M. Carpenter-Owens, 85, of Whitesboro, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2007 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Richmond, VA, she moved to Whitesboro permanently from Philadelphia in 1972. Josephine was a hard worker having worked many types of jobs including being a seamstress, baker, lamp maker, postal worker, notary and did crocheting.

She is survived by her son, Samuel W. Carpenter and daughter-in-law, Carol Braxton; grandsons: Samuel Jr., Troy and his wife, Wendy, Eric and his wife, Qadriyyah, and Marcus; great grandchildren: Samiyah, Tori, Eric, Marc, Shakema, Nemo, Aisyah and Jada.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2008, at 11 am at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery.

Carr, Kassandra I.

Kassandra I. Carr, 2 month old infant daughter of James G. & Theresa (nee Thraen) Carr of Cape May Court House, NJ, died on Monday, January 31, 2005 in Cooper Hospital, Camden, NJ, where she was born. She is survived, along with her parents, by her maternal grandparents: Ruth and Chris Thraen of Eldora, NJ; maternal great grandparents: Wesley & G. Ruth Ouram of Wildwood Crest, NJ, and Golden Thraen of Cape May Court House, NJ; and her paternal grandparents: Richard & Lynette Carr of Gloucester, NJ.

Carr, Dolores Ann

Dolores Ann Carr, 72, of Rio Grande, passed away on December 18, 2002 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. She was born in New York City and moved here in 1990. She was a registered nurse and worked at the Hospital for Joint Disease and Isabella Nursing Home in Manhattan. She was a member of Christ Gospel Church in Whitesboro.

Mrs. Carr is survived by her husband, Roosevelt; her sons, Bobby McDougald and his wife, Pat of New York City, and William McDougald of Philadelphia; her daughter, Esther Johnson and her husband, Roy of Hamilton, NJ; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 23, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Gospel Church, George and Anna Streets, Whitesboro, where relatives and friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Mount Holiness Memorial Park, Butler, NJ.

Carrano, Rose Jannucci

ROSE JANNUCCI CARRANO, 83, of Ocean View, Dennis Township, formerly of LONG BRANCH, died Monday, Nov. 24, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She was a nurse for both Monmouth Medical Center and the former Hazard Hospital, Long Branch for 13 years before retiring in 1964. She was a communicant of Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch where she was a soprano in the choir; a member of the Rosary Altar Society and taught C.C.D. classes. She was an active member of the Long Branch Seniors, and the Blue Army, Our Lady of Fatima. She was also a volunteer at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Elizabeth, she lived in Long Branch before moving to Ocean View three years ago.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Carole Carrano, on July 16, 2003. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Anne D. and Dr. Robert W. Cifers of Ocean View; five sisters and a brother-in-law, Philomena Marsello, Ann Agrios, Grace Conover, Gloria Jannucci, all of Long Branch, and Phyllis and Richard King of Union Beach; and two grandchildren, Theresa Anne and Victoria Mary Cifers.

Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Damiano Funeral Home, corners of Third and Franklin avenues, Long Branch. The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday from the funeral home followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Long Branch. Interment will be in Woodbine cemetery, Oceanport. Carroll, Charles M.

Charles M. Carroll was born on April 4, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA to the late John and Charlotte Carroll. His family affectionately called him 'Sonny'. He departed this life on Monday, May 21, 2007.

After graduating from Simon Gratz High School of Philadelphia, PA in 1960, Sonny joined the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam as a military policeman. He received several distinguished medals for his outstanding service. After being honorably discharged, he spent many years living and working Southeast Asia. He was well versed in the region's language and culture.

Upon returning to the United States, he briefly resided in West Philadelphia, PA and enrolled in the University of Pennsylvania. He later moved to Cambridge, MA where he attended and graduated from Harvard University. He was an employee of Harvard University for over 15 years.

Sonny possessed a witty intellect, wonderful sense of humor warm personality and a charming smile. His sensitivity embraced many people. He made lifelong special friendships and was fondly called 'Chuck'. He was a true gentleman.

He will be sorely missed by all. He leaves to cherish and honor his memory: his sisters; Carolyn Banks, Charlene Carroll, Viola Petty, Darlene Gray, Sarah Carroll and Kaeko Jackson; his brothers, Michael Carroll and Rodney Carroll; two brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, three aunts, twelve nieces, fourteen nephews, many loving relatives and friends; special friendships; Holly Seeling, Kathleen Kearney. Lay Lee Ong and family, Woody Moy, Dave Cassier, Ian Buchanan and Patrick Shea.

He was a retired Construction Supervisor for John Mansville Construction Comp., Cranbury NJ.

Carter, Paul Lee

PAUL LEE CARTER, 42, of LONG BRANCH, died Monday, Dec. 15, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was employed for 15 years by Monmouth University. He attended Long Branch High School. His greatest accomplishments were the joys he shared with his many friends and children of the community. Born in Oceanport, he was a lifelong resident of the Shore area.

He was predeceased by his parents, Cora Carter and Samuel E. Robinson. Surviving are two brothers, James E. Carter and David L. Carter; a sister-in-law, Lelia Carter Davis; his friends, Torrie Reily and Lucy; and several nieces and nephews.

All services will be private. Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch, is in charge of arrangements.

CARTER, DOROTHY ADELE (nee Seibold), went home to be with the Lord on December 28, 2007. Resident of Marlton, NJ. Formerly of Barrington, NJ. Beloved wife of 60 years of C. Elmer Carter. Loving mother of Dale Carter of Sugar Hill, GA, Glenn Carter (Sharon) of Plainsboro, NJ, Rev. Lee Carter (Pam) of Hillsborough, NC, and Diane Halpin (Mark) of Cherry Hill, NJ. Devoted grandmother of Adam and Tara Halpin and Jonathan, Christa, and Matthew Carter. Dorothy was a longtime member of Haddon Heights Baptist Church where she faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. . In recent years, Dorothy became a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She will be missed by her family, friends, and residents of Wiley Mission. CARTER, on June 9, 2002, Charles E. Sr. 'Ed' of Westville NJ. Age 69. Beloved husband of Shirley S. Carter (nee Smith) and loving father of Charles E. Carter Jr. and his wife, Kelly of mays Landing. He is survived by his siblings, Joseph Carter, Sue Sommerer, James Reynolds and William Carter and 3 loving grandchildren, Patricia, Kristen and Charles E. III. He is also the brother of the late Joan Branigan. He is a veteran of the US Navy and a member of the American Legion Post 133 Woodbury. From 163 through his retirement in 1992 he was employed with ACE Motor Sales, Woodbury, beginning with them as a mechanic and retiring as Service Manager. passed away on July 29, 2003 to join in heaven her beloved husband, Salvatore of 47 years, grandson TJ and daughter in law Marietta. Age 83. Devoted mother of Thomas G. (Diane) of OH and Salvatore C. of Beverly, NJ. Loving grandmother of Catina and her husband Tommy, Michael and Amanda and great grandmother of Nathan, Alexis and Brittany. Dear sister of Alfred Linguiti of PA and Josepeh Linguiti of Lompec, CA. Mrs. Caruso was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be loved and missed dearly by all. Caruso, Jennie Di Angelo

JENNIE DI ANGELO CARUSO, 95, of LONG BRANCH, died Tuesday, July 22, at Gateway Care Center, Eatontown. She was a member of the Long Branch Seniors. Born in Maddaloni, Italy, she came to the United States in 1921, living in Newark until 1954 before moving to Long Branch.

She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Caruso, in 1984. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Ramon and Anne of Long Branch, and Fred and Deborah of Santa Monica, Calif.; three grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, with a service to begin at 12:30 p.m. at the Damiano Funeral Home, corners of Third and Franklin avenues, Long Branch. Donations are requested to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.

Caruso, Anna E.

CARUSO, ANNA E. (nee Davison) on March 18, 2004 of Marlton, formerly of Philadelphia. She passed away at the Wiley Retirement Community in Marlton after a brief illness. She is survived by a brother John Davison (Doris), nieces Carol Maplesden (Jim), Dianna Worman (Craig), Lois Saylor (Andrew), Charlotte Fallenstein (William), nephews Greg Davison (Candace) and Bruce Davison (Laurie). Also survived by great nieces and nephews Beth, Alan, Allison, Rachel, John, Andrea, Jefferson, Stephanie, Millie, Taylor, Wes (Erin), Raymond and Brian. A viewing will be held on Wednesday at the Wiley Church, 99 E. Main Street in Marlton from 10-11AM. A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM. Interment Hillside cemetery in Roslyn, PA. Memorial donations can be made in Anna's name to the Wiley Mission, 99 E. Main St. Marlton, NJ 08053 OR St. Luke's Bishop Hoffman R.E. Church, Frankford Ave and Unruh St Philadelphia, PA 19136.
