Salvatore G. Cleffi, age 84 of Long Branch died Tuesday, July 12 at Jersey Shore Care Center, Eatontown. He was a union bakery driver for 28 years for Bond Bakery in Farmingdale retiring 25 years ago. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a parishioner of Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. Born in Long Branch he was a life resident. He was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis Cordial Cleffi in 1981; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived two daughters and a son in law, Sharon Porter of Long Branch and Sanita and Christopher Riker of Sanford, FL; a brother, James Cleffi of Long Branch; three grandchildren, one great grandchild; and many nieces, nephew and cousins. Visitation will be at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., (corner of Third Ave.) on Thursday, July 14, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Friday, 10:00 am from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at Our Lady Star of the Sea RC Church, Long Branch. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel cemetery, West Long Branch.

Loving mother of Charles W., Jr. (Kim), Lisa McBride (Steve) and Lori Weber (Jeff). Loving Grandmom and Gram to Jeffrey, LeAnn, Travis and Lauren. Mrs. Clendenen was an employee of Conrail for over 40 years. A strong and beautiful woman, Juanita was always giving and caring to all, touched many people's hearts and she will be missed and never forgotten. Loving father of Charles W., Jr. (Kim), Lisa McBride (Steve) and Lori Weber (Jeff). Devoted grandpa and pop pop of Jeffrey, LeAnn, Travis and Lauren. Dear brother of Nadine Rayburn, Betty Moses, Ray Clendenen, Harry Clendenen, Peggy Gaston and Clayton Clendenen. A veteran of the US ARMY, Mr. Clendenen was a rate clerk for Conrail for 27 years. Cloak, James

James Cloak, 60, of Cape May Court House, NJ, died on Saturday at his home. Born in Hammonton, NJ, he has been a lifetime Cape May County resident, coming from Hammonton. He was a custodian for the Dennisville Board of Education and retired after 25 years of service in 1990. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.

He is survived by his brother, William Cloak of Spring Lake, NC; and his sisters, Nora Zook of Powells Point, NC, and Catherine Benner of Dickson, TN.

Cobb, Helen

Helen Cobb passed away the 25th of March 2007 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born and raised in the Heart of Manhattan's Little Italy and even though she traveled throughout the world her heart remained there. She leaves her husband Colonel Frederick Cobb, four children: Elena, Jeannine, Diane, and Fred: 4 grandchildren, Michael, Rachel, Laura and Bryan; and 2 great grandchildren, Heather and Sean.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 30, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue, corner of Third Ave, Long Branch. Funeral, Saturday at 10 am at the Post Chapel, Ft Monmouth. Interment will be held on Wednesday, April 4, at 10 am in Arlington National cemetery, Arlington, Va.

Cochrane, Albert C.

Albert C. Cochrane, 75, of North Wildwood and Henderson, NV, died Monday, May 19, 2003 in Las Vegas, NV. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Albert Franklin and Ruth (Sellers) Cochrane, he moved here in 1979 from Elmer. He moved to Henderson, NV in October of 1995, then returned here in August of 1997. He graduated from West Chester State Teachers College and taught in Pittsgrove Township School District, Mt. Olivet, 6th Grade. He was Casino Control Commissioner from 1980 to 1990. He was a Job Interviewer for the Unemployment Office and a security dispatcher for Quest Security. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was also a member of the Democratic Committee of Middle Township.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where relatives and friends may call on Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery, Cape May Court House.

Rev. Dr. John Hillman Coffee, Sr. Loving mother of John H. Coffee Jr. and his wife, Nancy of Tabernacle. Dear grandmother of Jodianne, William, Avery and Caitlin. Mrs. Coffee was a graduate of the Wm. McKinley H.S., Canton OH, Asbury College Wilmore KY and Glassboro State College, Glassboro NJ where she received her Masters Degree in Education. She had also attended Kent State and the Ohio Conservatory of Music. Throughout her teaching career, Mrs. Coffee taught at Wenonah Elementary School, Seabrook Farm School, Merchantville and Pennsauken High Schools. She was an accomplished musician mastering the piano, organ, saxophone, guitar, accordion, vibraharp and marimba. Coffey, Margaret M.

Margaret M. Coffey of Leisuretown in Southampton, NJ passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2005, at Virtua Hospital in Marlton, NJ. She was 91 years of age. Born on March 28, 1914, in Brooklyn, NY, she was one of seven children of Francis and Margaret Dean. Upon graduation from high school, Margaret was employed by Hanover Trust Company as a secretary until her marriage to Michael F. Coffey, who died October 20, 2002. She is survived by John & Anne Coffey of Malverne, NY, Rev. Michael J. Coffey of Cherry Hill, NJ, James & Irene Coffey of Havertown, PA, Mary Ellen Marino of Blackwood, NJ, Gerard Coffey & Agnes Kent of Dobbs Ferry, NY, Stephen & Nancy Coffey of Howell, NJ, and Marguerite & Thomas Greig of Arlington, VA. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, and by two sisters, Anita McNamara and Clare McNamara, both of Matawan, NJ. Coffey, Michael F.

MICHAEL F. COFFEY passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2002 at his home in the Leisuretowne Section of Southampton, NJ. He was 85 years of age. Born in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, he resided in Leisuretowne for the past 18 years moving there from Cherry Hill, NJ and Brooklyn, NY. He worked for 35 years for the Gulf Oil Corporation as a director of marine transportation until his retirement in 1982. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during WWII. Also survived by his sister, Diane Coffman of Cherry Hill and his 3 grandchildren, Amber, Molly, and Danielle. Richard was a firefighter with the City of Camden for 25 years, before retiring.

COFFMAN, on October 28, 2001, George E. 'Bud' of Southampton NJ, formerly of Collingswood and Philadelphia. Age 77. Beloved husband of 56 years of Elizabeth E. 'Betty' (nee Hansbury) Coffman. He is survived by 2 children, Richard G. Coffman (Lillian) of Clermont FL and Diane C. Coffman of Southampton NJ, a brother, Malin F. Coffman Sr., 3 grandsons, Anthony, Michael and Daniel and 7 great grandchildren He is a veteran of the US NAVY serving from 1942-1948. He had served in Bainbridge MD, Newport RI, Washington DC, and New York and was awarded the WWII Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American and European-African-Middle Eastern Area Medal. Mr. Coffman had been employed for 34 years with the Navy as an electrician for the Philadelphia Naval Yard and a directorate of Technical Operations for the Defense Industrial Supply Center, Philadelphia. He was a member of the Leisuretown Veterans and Trinity Episcopal Church, Vincentown NJ. Cofone, Angelo

Angelo Cofone, age 59 of Toms River died Thursday, September 13, 2007 at St. Peters University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was a self employed truck driver. Born in Acri Cosenza, Calabria, Italy, he lived in Nutley before moving to Toms River 15 years ago. He was predeceased by his son Benji; and his parents, Biagio Cofone and Nancy Liguri Cofone. Surviving are four daughters, Angela, Patricia, Nancy and Jessica; four brothers, Anthony, George, Natale and Mario; three sisters, Maria, Bomina and Santa; and a grandson, Ian.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 17, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave, (corner of Third Ave), Long Branch. The funeral will be on Tuesday, 9:00 am at the funeral home with a service to begin at 9:30 am. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel cemetery, West Long Branch.

Cohen, Irene M.

Irene M. Cohen, of Cape May Court House, N.J. died suddenly on Friday, January 23rd, 2004. She was born in Brooklyn, NY to Thomas and Louise Franza Whitehorne. Irene was a vibrant and caring person who helped and touched so many lives. She was most generous in giving her time, and even her own belongings to the needy and those less fortunate. She was the kind of person who literally went without her winter coat, so that another could be warm. She was an adopted mother and grandmother to many people, young and old alike.

Irene moved to Cape May County in 1976 from Australia and was a much-loved elementary teacher in the Middle Township school system for 23 years. Irene volunteered in any capacity that would be supportive of children. With energy and enthusiasm she actively supported her children's participation in Little League, soccer, and was a Cub Scout Den Mother for many years. Additionally, she was depended on for long hours volunteering in the elementary school, the PTA, and many after-school programs. Later she was an official and founding member of the "Bag Ladies, " a group who prepared bags of care packages for college students.

Irene was graduated with honors from Fontbonne Hall High School in Brooklyn, NY. She received her undergraduate degree and a Master's Degree in Economics from Brentwood College. Afterwards, she taught for many years in the parochial school system on Long Island.

Irene was a very active member of Our Lady of The Angels Church since her arrival. As the Director of Religious Education, longtime CCD instructor, member of the Parish Council, and founding Principal of "Lil Angels, " (the Church's parochial school) she put forth a great deal of time and energy towards serving all members of the parish, especially the children.

She was an active member of the Cape May County Educators Association, the NJ Education Association, and the National Education Association. She was considered an exemplary educator by parents, children, and peers, winning numerous awards, including Teacher of the Year. She was also a member of the Women's Democratic Club of Middle Township.

Irene is survived by her children: Edward T., Joseph M. and his wife Beth, all residing in Philadelphia, PA and step-daughter Terry S. residing in Wilmington DE. A Memorial Mass will be said on Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at 8 pm at Our Lady of the Angels Church, Cape May Court House, NJ. Friends may call between 6pm and 7:45pm at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you make a donation to The Irene M. Cohen Scholarship Fund (a custodian of the fund will be announced at a later date).

COLBRIDGE, Dawn L. (nee Graham) suddenly on June 14, 2007, of Marlton NJ, formerly of Willingboro and Philadelphia. Age 70. Beloved wife of Oliver 'Al' Colbridge. Loving mother of Thomas O. Colbridge and his wife, Jennifer and Michael K. Colbridge and his wife, Tricia. Dear grandmother of Amy, Michael, Ryan, Shawn, Morgan, Caitlyn, and Casey. She is also survived by a brother, Charles Feldman and a sister, Connie Diamond. Colby, Mason David

Mason David Colby of Williamstown, NJ passed away on September 24, 2008. He was just four months old when he left this world to be an angel in Heaven. Mason was a beautiful baby with a glowing smile and contagious laugh. Although he was only with us for a short time, we know he is smiling down on us from Heaven. He will be forever loved and missed by his parents, Lawrence, Jr. and Kelly Colby, big brother Dale; grandparents David (Pop pop) and Kathleen (Mimi) Walters, Dolly (Ghee Ghee) Colby, Lawrence, Sr. (Pop pop) and Sherrie (Bubbie) Colby; great grandparents Walter and Mary Rhuberg, Robert Walters, Joan Walters, and Moniba Becker. Mason will also be remembered by his loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mary Laugelli Coldon, age 85 of Eatontown, formerly of Long Branch died Thursday, February 17, 2005 at Jersey Shore Care Center, Eatontown. She was a secretary at Fort Monmouth for 25 years before retiring. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. Born in Long Branch, she was a life resident of the area. She was predeceased by her husband, George Coldon in 1985. Surviving is her son and daughter in law, Jeffrey and Rosemary Coldon of Howell, a grandchild, Matthew; and a niece and two nephews. Visitation will be held at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., (corner of Third Ave.) Long Branch, on Tuesday, February 22, from 9-10 am with a funeral service to begin at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Woodbine cemetery, Oceanport.
