Cole, Mulford R.

Mulford R. Cole, 70, of Dennisville, died on Friday, January 23, 2004 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. He was the son of the late Mulford and Elizabeth Robinson Cole. He was born at the Margaret Mace Hospital, North Wildwood, and was a lifetime area resident. He was retired from the Maintenance Department of the Pine Haven Campground. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Cole was a graduate of Middle Township High School and a member of the Alumni Association; a member of the Canon Lodge of F & AM; a member of the N.W. Dennis Community Club; and a former member of the Ruritan Club.

He is survived by his two sisters, Elizabeth Travis of Port Arthur, TX, and Doris E. Schofield of Dennisville; several nieces and nephews, including Robert Schofield of NW Dennisville, Elizabeth Cary of Woodbury, Daniel Errickson and Desiree Bender, both of NW Dennisville, and Charlene Hartem of Cape May Court House.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Union cemetery, South Dennis. There are no calling hours.

Cole, Evelyn Katherine

Evelyn Katherine Cole, 79, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Eastern Shore Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She has lived here for the past seven years after previously living in Little Egg Harbor and Union.

Mrs. Cole is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert B. Cole; her son, Philip S. Cole of Cape May Court House; her daughter, Carolyn Schmidt of Union; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery.

Cole, Robert B.

Robert B. Cole, 83, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2009. Born in Hartford, CT to the late Robert and Florence (Brower) Cole, he has lived here for 10 years after living in Little Egg Harbor and Union. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II.

Mr. Cole is survived by his son, Philip S. Cole of Cape May Court House; his daughter, Carolyn L. Schmidt (Gary); two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn K. Cole on December 20, 2006.

Funeral services will be held today, Friday, July 24, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery.

Cole, Sara E.

Sara E. Cole, 25, of Norwood, Massachusetts formerly of Williamstown, NJ passed away on July 24, 2001.

Sara graduated fom Williamstown High School in 1994. She received her B.S. in Biology from the College Of New Jersey in 1998. She had worked as a validation engineer for KMI-PAREXEL in Waltham, MA.

She is survived by her beloved fiancée Jeffrey Holman of Norwood, MA, her devoted parents Thomas and Patricia Cole of Melbourne, FL, two caring brothers Thomas Cole of Williamstown, NJ, and Edward Cole of Lancaster, PA, five loving sisters Nancy Matise of Lake Worth, FL, Virginia Pelosi and Patricia Roissier both of Melbourne, FL, Kathleen Decker of Runnemede, NJ, and Jennifer Leonard of Merritt Island, FL and she was predeceased by her sister Teresa M. Cole. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12 noon Monday at St. Mary's RC Church, Main Street and Carrol Avenue, Williamstown, NJ. A viewing will be held 6-8PM Sunday and 10:30-11:30AM Monday at the Bell-Hennessy Funeral Home, 420 South Main Street, Williamstown, NJ. Burial of cremains will be private at Lakewview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ.

In lieu of flowers the family request contributions in Sara's memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute Neuro-Oncology Dept. 44, Binney St. Boston, MA, 02115.

Colella, Egidio R.

Egidio R. Colella, 72, of North Cape May, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2007 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he moved to North Cape May ten years ago. He retired from the Philadelphia Police Department after serving 24 years as an officer and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church. He was an Eagles and Phillies fan and loved the ocean.

Mr. Colella is survived by his wife of 49 years, Catherine A. (nee Paisley); his children, Patricia Gray of Philadelphia, John Wright of Cinnaminson, Marian Menow of Philadelphia, Ralphie Colella of North Cape May, and Rosemarie Colella of North Cape May; and his ten grandchildren, Erin, Korrina, Marian Rose, John Jr., Timothy, Kevin, Mark, Glenn, Raymond, and Alex.

Funeral Mass will be said on Thursday, October 4, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Church, Garden State Parkway and East Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Deborah Hospital, P.O. Box 820, Browns Mills, NJ 08015.

Colella, Anthony J.

COLELLA, ANTHONY J. on January 25, 2005. Resident of Voorhees, NJ. Formerly of Northeast Phila. Anthony was 80. Husband of the late Gloria ( nee Rubino). Loving father of Ted Colella and his wife Theresa. Brother of Mary and Elvira Chiarulli. Also survived by his grandchildren, Teddy Jr. and Tara. Anthony's life was defined by his love of helping people and was guided by the simple principle of the Golden Rule. As a Republican Committeeman for over 40 yrs in the 66th Ward of N.E. Phila., he relished the opportunity of improving the lives of people in small but important ways. Anthony was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus attaining the rank of 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus Regina Coeli Council # 4921 of Phila as well as a 4th Degree Sir Knight of the St. John Neumann Council of Bristol, PA. However, Anthony's true shining was that of a doting grandfather to his grandchildren, Teddy and Tara. "Poppy" as he was known to them, was always there for them from their birth until his health failed. His loving, caring demeanor will be missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing Friday from 7:00-9:00 PM and Saturday from 8:15-9:15 AM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt. 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ. Coleman, Eileen

Coleman, Eileen. On October 14, 2006 of Mt.Laurel & Stratford, NJ. Age 85. Devoted wife of Thomas A. Sr.. Loving mother of Peter (Delores), Lorraine (Robert) Campanella, Thomas A. Jr. (Rosemary), and Paul (Elaine). Caring grandmother of Christopher, Jonathan, Jesse, Kelly, Lindsay, Siobhan, Nicholas, Stacy, Lisa, Aubrey and great granddaughter Gianna Rose. Eileen was born in Bay Ridge Brooklyn, NY in 1921. She was devoted to raising her children, an avid reader, a volunteer for the St.Luke's Church in Stratford, and worked for Strawbridge & Clothiers for many years. Coleman, Alice L.

Alice L. Coleman, 86, of Cape May Court House, NJ, died on Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at the Crest Haven Nursing Home. She was a lifetime county resident. She was a retired Housekeeper at the Woodbine Developmental Center.

She is survived by her 2 sons: Edward DeSantis of Swainton, NJ, and John DeSantis of South Carolina; her daughter: Earlene Lee of Swainton, NJ; seven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

Coleman, Earl W.

Earl W. Coleman, 77, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at Eastern Shore Nursing Home. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II. He is survived by his children, Earlene Coleman, Rose Marie Coleman, Rita Joan Coleman, Patrice Winovich of Naples, FL, Dawn Marie Young of West Palm Beach, FL, Daniel William Kurtz of Riverside, and William James Kurtz of Somers Point; his brother and sister, Eddie Coleman and Elsie Alt, both of West Virginia; and his grandchildren, Tiffany Kurtz, Daniel Kurtz, and John Tyler Kurtz. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cleoria Fay "Kitty" Coleman on June 8, 1999.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where relatives and friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Interment will be in Calvary Baptist cemetery, Ocean View.

Colepardi, Jennie Guerrieri

Colepardi, Jennie (nee Guerrieri), age 82, formerly of Galloway Township, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2001 in Winter Garden, Florida. She was born in Pomona on September 12, 1918 and later lived in Ventnor. She worked in the clothing industry until her retirement in 1984. She moved to Sarasota that same year. In 1989, she moved to Winter Garden, Florida. She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Winter Garden. Mrs. Colepardi is survived by her husband of 59 years, Joseph Colepardi of Winter Garden, Florida; her sister, Rose Orlando of Egg Harbor Township; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Church of the Assumption, 276 W. White Horse Pike, Pomona on Saturday, September 22, 2001 at 11:30 AM. Local arrangements are by Wimberg Funeral Home, 400 Liverpool Avenue, Egg Harbor City (609-965-0357).

Coles, Ellen J.

Coles on Dec. 11, 2001 Ellen J. nee Friedman of Voorhees age 45 beloved wife of Mark S. and loving mother of Andrew. Colford, Jr, Joseph E.

Joseph E. Colford Jr., the retired director of the Hudson County Youth House and later a social worker with Catholic Community Services in the Archdiocese of Newark, died Sunday January 25, at his home in Seabrook Village at Tinton Falls, N.J. He was 83.

Colford grew up and raised his family in Jersey City. In 1995, he and his wife, Catherine, moved to Monmouth Beach, where they had spent summer vacations for more than 40 years, and they relocated to Seabrook last summer.

He had been a Hudson County probation officer for 11 years when he was appointed head of the Youth House in 1956.

In 1962, he led the move of the juvenile detention facility from the present site of Marist High School in Bayonne to a new and more spacious campus in Secaucus. He later organized a supervised shelter at the Jersey City Medical Center complex designed to house non-delinquent youngsters apart from the secured Youth House population.

He retired from the Youth House in 1980 and spent the next 15 years working for Catholic Community Services, helping to set up and maintain group homes in Jersey City for adults released from state psychiatric hospitals.

Colford was also an active volunteer in the Jersey City community.

In the 1970s, he served as a trustee of Our Lady of Victories R.C. Church, a member of the parish school board and a trustee of St. Francis Hospital. In the latter role, he helped select contractors and architects to build new wings at the downtown hospital and arrange financing for the projects.

Before leaving Jersey City in 1995, he delivered meals to homebound city residents with AIDS as a volunteer with the God's Love We Deliver program.

Colford, a graduate of St. Peter's Prep and St. Peter's College in Jersey City, was active in both schools' alumni fundraising. He also held a master's degree in educational and vocational guidance from Seton Hall University, where he taught an evening course in delinquency and crime control from 1958 to 1962.

Colford was the son of Hudson political leader Joseph E. Colford, who was a close ally of legendary Jersey City Mayor Frank Hague. The elder Colford at different times was a city commissioner, Hudson County sheriff, a county freeholder and also chairman of the Hudson County Democratic Organization.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years Catherine Lipsett Colford, his eight children, Mary Palecek, of Orland Park, Ill.; Joseph III, of Middletown; Francis, of West Long Branch; Paul, of Roselle Park; Christopher, of Scarsdale, N.Y.; Peter, of Mendham; Lorie Reilly, of Mount Laurel, and Brian, of Jersey City; 17 grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Relatives and friends may call at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., corner of Third Ave, Long Branch on Tuesday January 27, from 2-4 7-9 pm. Funeral Wednesday January 28, at 9 am from the funeral home followed by a 10 am mass at the Roman Catholic Church of Precious Blood, Monmouth Beach. Interment Holy Cross cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. In lieu of flowers, it's requested that donations be made to St. Peter's Prep, 144 Grand St., Jersey City 07302, for a Joe Colford scholarship fund.

Colgan, Gisele

Colgan, Gisele. (nee Zolin) Of Marlton, NJ. On October 15, 2007. Age 81. Devoted wife of John Colgan. Loving mother of Carl and his wife Frances Passeri, Donna Nicolais and step-mother of Terry Garaguso, Rose Voellinger, Kathy Pulka, and Mike Colgan. Caring grandmother of Tiffani Evans, Adrienne Deussing, Jason Nicolais, Anthony Passeri, Francesca Nicolais and step-grandmother of Michael Garaguso, Rosemary Colgan, Rachel Voellinger, Michael Colgan, Max Voellinger, Gwen, John, Danny, and Joey Pulka. COLLETTI, on September 21, 2002 Robert Joseph D.O. of Medford, NJ. Age 57. Loving husband of Sandra (nee Orapello). Beloved father of Robert J. Colletti II of Allison Park PA and Susan Colletti Murphy and her husband, Timothy of Sicklerville NJ. Also survived by 3 grandchildren. Dr. Colletti was the owner of several private medical practices in Marlton and Philadelphia for the past 30 years. Collings, Frederick Charles Irving

Collings, Frederick Charles Irving, 93, of Avalon, NJ, died on Sunday, January 28, 2007 at the Crest Haven Nursing Home, Cape May Court House, NJ. Born in London, England, he has lived here for the past 50 years coming from Camden, NJ. He retired as an Electronics Engineer from RCA in Camden, NJ after 37 years, was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, the Amateur Radio Club of U.S., and was a short wave Radio Operator.

He is survived by his sister: Ellen Farnesworth and her husband, Robert, of Lower Bank, NJ; his niece: Joyce Farnesworth of Bethesda, MD; four great nieces; and four great nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 95th Street & Third Avenue, Stone Harbor, NJ 08247. Interment and funeral service will be private in Cold Spring Presbyterian cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ.

Collins, Richard

Richard Collins, 46, of Cape May Court House, died on Thursday, September 5, 2002. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he lived here for three years after living in Florida for 15 years. He was a roofer for Local 30 in Philadelphia. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church in Cape May Court House.

Mr. Collins is survived by his wife, Cynthia (nee Williamson) Collins; his children, Richard Anthony Collins and Theresa Marie Collins, both at home; his mother, Anna Mae Collins of North Wildwood; his sisters, Denise Conolly of Florida, Mary Ann Giblin of North Wildwood, and Kathleen Collins of Florida; and his brother, Michael Collins of Florida.

Funeral Liturgy will be said on Tuesday, September 10, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Church, Parkway and East Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House, where relatives and friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Cold Spring. Donations may be made in his memory to Bishop McHugh Regional Catholic School, 2221 Route 9, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.

Collins, David Douglass

COLLINS, DAVID DOUGLASS "DOUG", 83, of South Seaville, died on Sunday, September 17, 2006, at his home. He was born February 8, 1923, in South Seaville the son of the late Harold and Alice Reeves Collins. He was a Middle Township High School graduate and attended Duke University for two years before joing the Navy during WWII as an ensign in the Naval Air Force. He was a Navy aviator flying a torpedo bomber. After the war, he became president of the J.P. Collins Co., Inc. after the death of his father in 1947. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, building small electronics and built the family's first color television, flying and running the lumber business. "Doug" served on the board of directors of the South Seaville Building and Loan Association and the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Hunt Collins; his son, Roger T. and his wife, Lynn and his daughter: Karen E. Collins; grandchildren: Matthew, Lynzee, Christy (Rudy); Cherie, Candee (Scott), Jamie (Dawn) and Rebecca and great grandchildren: Nicholas, Aaron, Sarah, Evan, Hunter, Jake and Annie. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Jean Dannanhauer Collins; a daughter, Nancy Collins Shew and a brother, Harold R. Collins. A gathering will be held for family and friends on Thursday, September 21, 2006 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the South Seaville Methodist Church Social Hall. Interment will be private. Memorials may be made to the Middle Township High School Alumni Association, Inc., PO Box 133, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210 or the South Seaville Methodist Church.
