Erickson, Jon Dennis

JON DENNIS "Denny" ERICKSON of Southampton, NJ, passed away on Saturday, August 7th, 2004 surrounded by his family at his home. He was 69 years of age. Born in Camden, NJ, Denny is the son of the late John C. and Catherine M. Erickson and was raised in the city's Cramer Hill section. He moved to Southampton with his family in 1969. Denny was a millwright /mechanic at the Campbell Soup Company in Camden, NJ for 30 years until his retirement in 1990. An avid outdoorsman, Denny enjoyed fishing, camping, boating and hunting and as a young man he hand-carved his own decoy rig and built several duck boats and was a veteran of the US Army. He is lovingly survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Jane (nee Heller), his daughter Denise and her husband James T. Bark of Westmont, NJ, daughter Janice and her husband Daniel J. Cirino Jr. of Atco, NJ, son John and his wife Susan of Woodland Twp., NJ, two Grandchildren Laurel Erickson and Daniel J. Cirino III and his brother Paul and his wife Glenda of Southampton, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 11:00 - 12:00 at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME 127 Medford Mt. Holly Rd. Mary and Walter were Pennsburg High School classmates class of 1940 . Loving father of Clara Smith and 2 step daughters, Diane Caralivanos and Gail Buchanan. Dear brother of Albert Ernst. He is also survived by 3 granddaughters, 2 step grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and nieces and nephew. Walter was the former husband of the late Helen Ernst. A WW II veteran of the US Air Force, Mr. Ernst was a SGT who served in the 28th Photo Recon. Squadron in the Pacific. He retired as a Manager from Knoll Furniture, E. Greenville PA. ERNST, Mary R. (nee Reichert-Dickson) On September 16, 2009. Of Marlton formerly of Oaklyn, NJ. Age 87. Beloved wife of the late Walter A. Ernst and the late Charles B. Dickson . Loving mother of Diane Dickson Gibbs Caralivanos (Emmanuel) and Gail Dickson Buchanan (Ronald). Loving sister of Helen Sailor (Edward) and Harry Reichert (Charlotte). Devoted grandmother of Melissa Buchanan Fincher (Justin) and Andrew Buchanan (Amanda). Mary will also be missed by many loving nieces and nephews. Mary was a 1940 Graduate of the Pennsburg High School in PA and served her country in the US Navy-WAVES during WWII as a hospital corpsman stationed at the Philadelphia Naval Hospital. She retired from the IRS in Philadelphia in 1973. Loving mother of Michele and her husband, Richard Ummarino of Medford and loving grandmother of Nicholas and Tyler. Dear sister of Helen Dorey of Audubon. Errico, Katherine Scaglione

KATHERINE E. SCAGLIONE ERRICO, 90, of WEST LONG BRANCH, died Tuesday, May 20, at St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She was a member of the Old First United Methodist Church, West Long Branch, a member of the United Methodist Women's Club and was also a choir mother. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, loved gardening and was an avid bowler. Born in Newark, she lived in Roseland before moving to West Long Branch in 1952.

She was predeceased by her husband, Albert D. Errico, in 1957. Surviving are a son, Carl Errico of West Long Branch; two daughters and sons-in-law, Louise and Raymond Kinsey of Ocean Township, and Dorothy and Ralph De Fazio of Long Branch, a sister, Rosemary De Sarno of Irvington; five grandchildren, Keith Kinsey, Michelle Kinsey, David Kinsey, Tanya Kinsey, and Dina De Fazio; and two great-grandchildren, Madeline Louise Kinsey, and Noah Patrick De Fazio.

Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Damiano Funeral Home, Third and Franklin avenues, Long Branch. The funeral will be 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. service at Old First United Methodist Church, West Long Branch. Esandrio, Ann Ventrola

Ann Ventrola Esandrio, age 90 of Long Branch died Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at Gateway Care Center, Eatontown. Born in Newark, she lived in Long Branch for the past 30 years. She was a parishioner at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. She was a volunteer at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, the Cripple Children's Hospital, Newark and was active with the Long Branch Seniors. She was predeceased by her husband, Rudolph Esandrio 2003. Surviving are a son and daughter in law, Richard J. and Maryann Esandrio of Sayreville; a daughter and son in law, Sharon and William Hall of Valparaiso, Indiana; three grandchildren and their spouses, Taran and Gene Fedor, Richard and Christy Esandrio and Alicia Hall; and three great grand children, Tiana, Graciella and Keelin.

Relatives and friends may call at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave. on the corner of Third Ave, Long Branch, on Thursday, October 14, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Friday, 9:00 am from the funeral with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 am at St. John the Baptist Church, Long Branch. Esch, Ted Norman

Esch, Ted Norman, age 59, of Galloway Township. Mr. Esch was born in Utica, New York and lived in Linwood before moving to Galloway Township in 1960. He graduated Ocean City High School in 1959. He was a lineman for ATT for over 20 years. He served his country honorably as a member of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era. Mr. Esch is survived by his brothers, Sam Esch of Pottstown, PA and Dave Esch of Williamstown. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2001 at 2:00 PM at Wimberg Funeral Home, 400 Liverpool Avenue, Egg Harbor City (609-965-0357), where visitation will begin at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Atlantic County Veterans cemetery, Estell Manor. Memorials may be made to the Boy Scouts of America.

On January 10, 2004 of Marlton, NJ for 53 years. Age 81 years. Beloved husband of Virginia (nee Milazzo) for 56 years. Devoted father of Michael and his wife Amy of Robbinsville and Gary of Marlton. Loving grandfather of Alex and Emily. Dear brother of Rose Grasso, Antoinette Sacco, Angeline McNamee, Mildred Lardi, Florence DePalma, Helen Campbell, Frank, Rocco, Lawrence, Dominic and Louis Esposito. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Prior to retirement, Mr. Esposito was owner of Mike Esposito Auto Body in Marlton. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran of WWII and recipient of the Purple Heart. He was also past commander of the VFW #6295 in Pine Grove. Mr. Esposito was a loving and devoted family man, who was loved by all. Essandrio, Rudolph G.

RUDOLPH G. ESANDRIO, 91, of LONG BRANCH, died Thursday, July 17, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was a mechanical inspector at Bendix Corp. for 30 years, retiring 25 years ago. He was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Long Branch and a member of the Long Branch Elks, Lodge 742. Born in Brooklyn, he lived in Newark before moving to Long Branch 30 years ago.

Surviving are his wife, Ann Ventrola Esandrio; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard J. and Maryann Esandrio of Sayreville; a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and William Hall of Indiana; three grandchildren and their spouses, Taran and Gene Fedor, Richard and Christy Esandrio, and Alicia Hall; and three great-grandchildren, Tiana, Graciella and Keelin.

ESTERLUND, ALFRED E.

On January 16, 2003, of Pennsauken, age 79 years.

Beloved husband of Susie T. (nee Terzini); Dear brother of the late Warren Esterlund; Dear brother in law of Mary and her husband Frank Albanese, Tony and his wife Mary Terzini and Josephine and her husband Donald Sever; Loving uncle of 16 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

Prior to retirement in 1985, Mr. Esterlund was employed at DyDee Service Inc for 21 years. Mrs. Esterlund was also a United States Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Bloomfield Fire House, Station 11-3 in Pennsauken for over 50 years.

Evangelist, Charles P.

Evangelist, Charles P., age 76, of Egg Harbor City, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2001 at his home. He was born in Egg Harbor City and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Egg Harbor High School Class of 1943. He served his country honorably as a First Sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II, first in Europe (Battle of the Bulge) and then in the Pacific (Japan). He was in marketing and sales all of his life. He had been a partner in the Redwood Home Mart in Egg Harbor City and Hi-Nella Shopping Center and Liquor Store in Hi-Nella, NJ. Mr. Evangelist served his community as a member of Egg Harbor City Common Council, Special Police Officer and a member of Egg Harbor City Volunteer Ambulance Squad. He was Past Commander and Life Member of American Legion Post #158 of Egg Harbor City, President of Key-Rec of Egg Harbor City, member of the Egg Harbor City Historical Society and a charter member of Towne Paint Civic Improvement Society. Mr. Evangelist was a past member of Rotary and Kiwanis. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jane Evangelist (nee Yanko) of Egg Harbor City; his children, Lynn Roesch and her husband, Richard of Egg Harbor Township and David Evangelist and his wife, Lynn of Mays Landing; his sisters, Marie Larro and Emma Chiappini, both of Egg Harbor City; his brother, Joseph Evangelist, Ph.D. of Haywood, California; his grandchildren, Jason and Sara Roesch of Egg Harbor Township and Scott, Robyn, Matthew and Kyle Evangelist of Mays Landing. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2001 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 11, 2001 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Wimberg Funeral Home, 400 Liverpool Avenue, Egg Harbor City (609-965-0357), where his funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 11, 2001. JOHN G. EVANGELISTA of Lindenwold, NJ passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2005, at Kennedy Hospital in Stratford, NJ. He was 75 years of age. Born on March 20, 1930, in Gibbstown, NJ, he was the son of Vincent & Edith Evangelista. A graduate of Paulsboro High School, John worked for DuPont Co. in Gibbstown, NJ and also owned Joe's Gas Station in Paulsboro, NJ and was a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the Army. He is survived by his son Gilbert Taylor of Salem, NJ and his brother Sam Evangelista of Medford Lakes, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Monday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the St Michaels R.C. Church, 313 Memorial Ave. Gibbstown, NJ where a Service will be held at 8:00 PM. Dear sister of Rita Kenny. Devoted grandmother of Justine, Peter, Michael and Alexa. A longtime resident of Marlton, Mrs. Evangelisti was the former President of the PTA at Jaggard School for 8 yrs. Evans, Kip B.

Kip B. Evans, age 52, formerly of Cape May Court House, NJ, husband of Sarah (Scudder) Evans, died on Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at his home in Marlborough, CT. He was born May 15, 1956, in Cape May Court House, NJ, the beloved son of Elizabeth (Pedrick) Evans of Cape May Court House, NJ and the late Clarence R. Evans.

He attended Middle Township Public Schools where he graduated in 1974. Growing up, he was active in scouting and as a teenager, Kip enjoyed hunting with his Dad. In high school, Kip played on the football team where he was named to the All-Star Team. Kip was devoted, hardworking husband, father and son and will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Memories of him will never be forgotten. He will be remembered as a son who passed away before his time.

He had lived in Marlborough since 1985. Kip was an engineer at APCom Power and Northern Telecom. He was a graduate of Florida Institute of Technology and received his MBA from the University of Hartford. Kip was an active and longtime member of the Marlborough Youth Athletic League; a member and past director of the Marlborough Elementary Child Care Association. Kip was an avid sailor enjoying racing "Magic" and summer cruising with his family. He was a bird enthusiast; a devoted viewer of the Weather Channel and recently took up photography. He was the Webmaster for RHAM High School Football and Lacrosse teams and his pictures are posted on the websites. He loved vintage cars with a particular interest in '69 Mustangs. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Scudder J., and a daughter, Bree A., both of Marlborough; a sister, Cheryl D. Boehme of Stuart, FL; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, David A. and Nancy S. Scudder of West Hartford; a brother-in-law, Timothy T. Scudder of Stamford; a sister-in-law and her husband, Linda and Jack Casey of New Hartford and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 4, 2009, at 12 Noon in the Marlborough Congregational Church, 35 S. Main St., Marlborough. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Family and friends were received at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Av., Glastonbury, CT on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Marlborough Youth Athletic League, PO Box 124, Marlborough, CT or the Marlborough Volunteer Fire Dept., PO Box 237 or to the Marlborough Congregational Church, 35 S. Main St., Marlborough, CT 06447.
