Gerber, Roger R.

Roger R. Gerber, 67, of Woodbine, died on Wednesday, August 10, 2005. Born in Lebanon County, PA to the late Winfield C. and Beatrice (Ackerman) Gerber, Sr., he moved here in 1956. He served in the Coast Guard from June 19, 1956 to June 17, 1960. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, the Coast Guard Auxiliary, and an officer in the HAM Radio Club. He formerly worked at Woodbine State School.

Mr. Gerber is survived by his wife, Joan (Rocap) Gerber; his sons, Bill and his wife, Cindy of Dennisville, and Doug and his wife, Dana of Douglasville, PA; his brothers, Winfield C. Gerber, Jr., and Carl A. Gerber; his sister, Ernestine Stick, all of Lebanon County, PA; and his grandchildren, Bill Gerber, Jr., Dale, Sean, Erin, Carol, and Charlotte.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where friends may call after 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in Calvary Baptist cemetery, Ocean View. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, South Jersey Chapter, 600 South White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ 08106.

Gerety, Arthur P.

Arthur P. Gerety, age 57, of Long Branch died Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was a para legal for Mc Carter and English LLC, Newark for 10 years. Born in New York City, he lived in Neptune City before coming to Long Branch 10 years ago. He is survived by wife, Patricia McCarthy Gerety and a son Graham Gerety, Long Branch.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, March 30, from 7 pm until the time of the service at 8:30 pm from the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave on the corner of Third Ave, Long Branch.

Gerew, Ann

Ann Gerew, 85, of Woodbine, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at Shore Memorial Hospital. Born in Woodbine to the late Camillo and Rose (Piccirelli) DeCinque, she was a lifetime resident of Woodbine. She was a World War II Veteran of the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps. She was formerly employed at the Woodbine Developmental Center and was a member of St. Casimir's Church.

Mrs. Gerew is survived by her daughter, Gerry Moscatelli and her husband, John of Somerdale; her son, Peter Gerew and his wife, Patti of Woodbine; her two grandchildren, Ann Baldwin and John Moscatelli; and her three great grandchildren, Amanda Baldwin, Allison Baldwin, and Tess Moscatelli.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.

GERHARDT, William G.

Native of Philadelphia, died at his home in Atco, NJ early Wednesday morning, February 25, 2004. His "love of his life" for 57 years was his wife Alice. He was a loving father to Jill, Bill (Heidi), Mike(Janet) Ed (Marilyn) and Joy (Richard).

Bill was the proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren and a mentor to all of them, teaching them what is important in life.

Bill bravely served his country in the Coast Guard during World War II. Then he joined General Electric Company as a dedicated employee for the next 36 years.

Bill was an avid fisherman and appreciated the beauty of nature. He was a passionate Philly Sports fan, sticking with the teams through thick and thin.

Bill enhanced the lives of everyone in whom he came in contact.

Friends and relatives may attend a viewing 6:30-8:30pm on Sunday evening and also 10-10:30am Monday at the BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME, Rt 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton. You are invited to join his family in a celebration of his life at 10:30am on Monday at the Funeral Home. Interment Brigadier General Doyle Veterans Cem., Arneytown, NJ. Gerhardt, Alice M.

GERHARDT, Alice M. (nee Merbreier), native of Philadelphia, died in her sleep on April 22, 2009 in Atco, NJ at the age of 85. Beloved wife of Bill (deceased). Loving mother of Jill (Richard Soper), Bill (Heidi), Mike (Janet), Ed (Marilyn) and Joy (Richard Dawson). Proud grand-mother of Rebecca, Robin, Wade, Travis, Allegra, Brandon, Trevor, Eric, Diane (Brian), Ricky (Aubrey), Brian, Matthew and Vicky. Thrilled great-grand-mother to Alice and Ryan. Caring sister to Shirley and her children Johnny and Tina. Alice enthusiastically served her country in the Coast Guard during World War II. She worked for The Willingboro Township Municipal Department for many years. To every aspect of her life she brought a zest for living which was infectious to those around her. Alice saw the best in everyone and gave her best to everyone. Her positive view of life will be sorely missed. GERIG, Warren C.

On June 18, 2003 of Marlton, formerly of Southampton. Age 86. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (nee Neiman) Loving father of Warren C. Gerig, Jr of Bangkok, Thailand and Patricia L. Higgins of Highland Falls, NY. Devoted grandfather of Darren, Patricia, and Katherine and great grandfather of 2. Dear brother of Ruth Bacon of Salem, NJ , the late Bertha Mae, the late Claude and the late Eugene. Mr. Gerig graduated from High School in National Park, then received his engineering degree from Drexel University. He worked for Esso (now Exxon) in many parts of the world including India, the Philippines and Australia. He was a 50 year member of the Florence Lodge F&AM in Woodbury. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing 10am-12noon Wednesday at the BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME, Rt 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton. Prayer Service will follow at 12noon Wed at the Funeral Home. GERIG, Darren Marshall

Suddenly on November 27, 2003 of Summit, NJ age 28 years. Beloved son of Warren C. Gerig Jr. and Noria L. (nee Stidham) of Bangkok, Thailand. Loving nephew of Patricia Higgins and her husband Bill, Margie Green and her husband Richard and Ruth VanRonpaey. Dear cousin of Kathy Arns, Patricia Higgins, Dawn Chappell, Darrell Triplett, Richard Green, Stephen and Mark VanRompaey and Annette Stidham. Darren was a former employee of American Express and was currently employed with Norvergence in Newark. He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church and a former member of their choir. He was also a former member of the Boy Scout Troop of America. Darren played the drums for Summit High and was a member of the football team. He was also a member of the Fishburne Military School football team and captain of the Equestrian Team. He also held the rank of Sergeant at the Fishburne Military School. Darren lived in the Philippines and enjoyed traveling to places like Taiwan, Thailand, Africa, China, Japan, England and Austria to name a few. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Saturday from 10-12PM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt 73 and Evesham Rd in Marlton. A Funeral Service will be held at 12PM. Interment will follow at Locustwood Memorial Park in Cherry Hill. If desired, memorial donations can be made in Darren's name to the charity of the donor's choice.

Gerike, Samuel Paul

Samuel Paul Gerike, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2002 suddenly and prior to birth at the Rancocas Hospital in Willingboro, NJ. He is the son of Paul A. and Susan E. (Nee Targonski) Gerike of Bordentown, NJ. Also survived by his Sisters Madeline A. and Emma C. both at home, his Maternal Grandfather Zigmont F. Targonski of Bordentown, NJ, his Paternal Grandparents Anthony F. & Margaret J. Gerike of Medford Lakes, NJ and his Maternal Step-Grandmother Jeanne Ratigan of Bordentown, NJ, his Aunt Bridget Targonski of Bordentown, NJ, his two uncles Joseph F. Gerike of Medford Lakes, NJ and Matthew J. Gerike of Fairfax, VA, his Maternal Great Grandparents Zigmont and Edna Targonski of Sayerville, NJ and his Maternal Great Grandmother Madeline A. German, Edward C.

Edward C. (Buzz) German of Haven Beach, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2009, at 86 years of age. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, he has resided in Haven Beach for the past 10 yrs., moving there from Haddonfield, NJ and Phila., PA. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1941 where he proudly served as a navigator/bombardier and later as an instructor in WWII. Following his discharge in 1945, Ed attended Temple University and Temple University Law School on the GI Bill and received his J.D. Degree in 1950. In 1951, he was recalled to fly in the B-36 but served most of his 17 months in the JAG Corps at Travis Air Force Base in California. Ed began his civilian legal career with LaBrum & Doak in Philadelphia, leaving as a senior partner in 1980 to found the firm of German, Gallagher & Murtagh. He was a member of the bar associations of Philadelphia and Pennsylvania and was a past president of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (1966-67). He avidly enjoyed golf, hunting, fly fishing and decoy collecting, and was a member of the Masonic Temple, the Scottish Rite and the Shriners. Ed is survived by Jane (Harlos) German, his loving wife of 59 years, his son Jeffrey N. German, and Jeff's wife, Betty Ann, and his adopted daughter Sheila C. Thompson and her husband, Dr. Carson J. Thompson of Sayre, PA. Ed also leaves 5 grandchildren, Katelyn E. German, Courtney A. German, Kelley A. German, Michael E. Thompson, (Molly) and Emily J. Thompson, and 2 great-grandchildren, Carson J. Thompson and Anna K. Thompson. Family and friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday, October 17th, 2009 from 3:00 - 4:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church, 101 E. German, Patricia A.

GERMAN, Patricia A. (nee Harris) succumbed to ALS after a brief illness on January 29, 2007. Age 71. Beloved wife of 50 years of Walter German of Marlton NJ. Loving mother of Jeffrey T. German of Sewell NJ and Peter W. German and his wife, Carol of Voorhees NJ. Caring grandmother of Sean German and dear sister of Richard and Thomas Harris. Mrs. German was an avid bowler, enjoyed sailing and most of all was a passionate gardener. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Saturday from 8:30 - 9:30am at the Bradley Funeral Home Rt. 73 and Evesham Rd. Marlton (856) 983-1005. Germanio, Lester J.

Lester J. Germanio, 84, peacefully passed away at home on November 9, 2009. Born in Belleplain to the late John and Speranza Germanio, he lived there his entire life. He graduated from Middle Township High School and became on of Cape May County's largest farmer of grain crops and livestock for many years. Together with his wife, Marie, who passed away in 1979, they built a custom home building and development business, which was later to be known as Evergreen Homes. They built over 700 homes throughout Southern New Jersey.

Lester had many accomplishments over his lifetime. Just to name a few, he was a founding member and life member of Belleplain Volunteer Fire Company, a charter member of the Cape May County 4H Foundation, a member of the Dennis Township School Board, past president of the Cape May County Board of Agriculture and received the distinguished Farmer of the Year Award in 1978, a member of the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Cape May County Builders Association, and a director of the Woodbine Savings and Loan Association.

He is predeceased by wife Marie (Domico). He is survived by four children: daughter Annamarie Germanio of Sea Isle City, son Lester Germanio and wife Sonja of Austin, TX, son Nick Germanio and wife LuAnn of Belleplain, and daughter Theresa Carbajo and husband Juan of Oak Ridge, TN. He is also survived by grandchildren Maria, (Arturo) Bentin, Terese (Dan) Jones, Peter (Natalie) Germanio, Leah (Carlos) Campos, Anders Germanio, Ben Germanio, Kimberly (Clarence) Tomlin IV, Katie (Robert) Lloyd, Cristina (Alan) Barker, and Elisa Carbajo, his eight great grandchildren, Makayla, Marissa, Adriana, Nico, Vivian, Aaron, Asher, and Anna; and numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be deeply missed by his special friend and companion, Vera Jargowsky of Dennis Township.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewings will be held on Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Holy Cross cemetery, Millville. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can to made to the Belleplain Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 503, Woodbine, NJ 08270.

Germes, Frank J

GERMES, Frank J. suddenly on May 29, 2008, of Marlton NJ. Age 18. Beloved son of Elizabeth 'Joy' Germes. Dear grandson of Frank and the late Lorraine Sgandurra of Maple Shade and dear great nephew of Theresa Chapman and Elizabeth Howard. Frank attended Cherokee High School and Sequoia Transitional School and was graduating this June. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Thursday from 8:45-10:15am at St. Isaac Jogues Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am Thursday. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank's memory to the RAP Room 1003 Suite A Lincoln Drive West Marlton NJ 08053.

Gerner, Eleanor Elizabeth

Eleanor Elizabeth Gerner, age 83, of Villas, NJ, fondly known as "Auntie El", died on Friday, June 26, 2009. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late John and Mary Scott Gerner. She spent the last thirty years in the Villas where she lived with her late sister, Agnes Egan.

She taught school for thirty nine years, and retired after eleven years working for the Lower Township Board of Education. She had a master's degree in teachers adminisration. She was the receipient of The Govenor's Teacher Recognition Award in February, 1989.

What wonderful stories she told of her special kids, and how her goal was not just to educate but also to encourage and challenge. Auntie El was loved by all including her neighbors and mailman, her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She will also be missed by her dear frends, Sister Theresa Suplick, SSJ and Sister Theresa Flynn, SSJ.

In addition to her sister, Agnes Egan, she was also predeceased by her brothers: Joseph, Francis, Bernard and Louis Gerner; and her sisters: Marie Greilich and Margaret Richardson.

Auntie El's favorite verse is from John 3:16--For God so loved the world, hat he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The Funeral Liturgy will be said on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Raymond's R.C. Church, Villas, NJ, where friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Villa, 101 W. Wissahickon Avenue, Flourtown, PA 19031.

GERNER, Margaret E. (nee Shennett)

On February 17, 2004. Of Clementon, NJ, formerly of Phila. Age 87. Beloved wife of the late William E. Gerner. Loving mother of Sister Margaret Gerner, IMH of Immaculata, PA, Donna Dugan and her husband Robert Sr. of Marlton, Patricia Borish and her husband Thomas Sr. of Voorhees, and Janet Gerner of Mt Laurel. Devoted grandmother of Robert Dugan Jr., Maggie Dugan and Donna Dugan and Thomas Borish Jr. and Jennifer Borish. Great grandmother of 5 and dear sister of Catherine Contino and Alma Orzel of Phila. Mrs. Gerner volunteered with the West Jersey Hospital Auxillary in Berlin and had been very active in St Gregory's Parish in W. Phila. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing 7-9pm Friday and 8:15-9:15am Saturday at the BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME, Rt 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton. Gervasi, Ida L.

Ida L. Gervasi, 92, of Wildwood Crest, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia to the late Fiore and Santina (Fasciocchi) Caporale, she moved to Wildwood Crest in 1969 from Havertown, PA. She and her late husband, Henry (Enrico) Gervasi were the former owners of Enrico's Restaurant in Wildwood Crest and The Pumpernickel in the Manoa Shopping Center in Havertown. She was a faithful member of the Church of the Assumption. She enjoyed crocheting and taught the children how to crochet.

Mrs. Gervasi is survived by her daughters, Louise Marciano of Wildwood Crest, and Evelyn DeFazio and her husband, Robert of Wildwood Crest; her four grandchildren, Regina Boehm and her husband Jeff, Robert DeFazio and his wife Rosa, Lisa Murphy and her husband Larry, and Nicole Dorn and her husband Chris; and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be said on Monday, December 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption, 7110 Seaview Avenue, Wildwood Crest, where viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Cold Spring.

Gesualdi, Carmella Mildred S.

CARMELLA MILDRED S. DOLISE GESUALDI, 89, of LONG BRANCH, died yesterday at the Center for Hospice Care at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She was a sales manager for Bamberger's/Macy's, Eatontown, in the children's shoe department for 29 years. She was a parishioner of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, West End, Long Branch, and a member of its Rosary Altar Society. Born in Newark, she lived in Long Branch since 1947.

Her husband, Daniel Gesualdi, died in 1988. Surviving are three daughters, Cynthia Marianino of Springfield, and Frances Attardi and Donna Clay, both of Long Branch; five sisters, Angela Clark of Randolph, Sandra Carbone of Basking Ridge, Rose Murray of Edison, Mary Orefice of Union, and Faye Tomaino of Randolph; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Damiano Funeral Home, Third and Franklin avenues, Long Branch. A funeral will be held 9:30 a.m. Friday from the funeral home, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Michael's Church, West End, Long Branch. Interment will be in Woodbine cemetery, Oceanport.

Ghera, Mary Jane Milewski/Finnerty

Mary Jane Ghera (formerly Mary Jane Milewski/Finnerty), 58, died suddenly of unknown causes on May 13th 2008 in her home in Apollo Beach FL. Mary Jane was born in Philadelphia, PA on January 30, 1950 to Victor and Mary Milewski. She was raised in Cherry Hill, NJ and graduated from Cherry Hill West High School in 1968. Mary Jane also resided in Marlton, NJ for 17 years where she raised her family. After leaving Marlton she lived in Wisconsin and North Carolina before moving to Apollo Beach, FL 1 year ago.

She is survived by her significant other of 5 years, Anthony Orloski; her three daughters, Colleen Ivy, Bridget Davids, and Heather Dean; six grandchildren (Chad, Adriana, Maya, Brian, Thomas and Jake); brother, Ron Milewski; sister, Kathy Milewski and other relatives and friends.

Mary Jane graduated from Carolina College of Health Sciences in Charlotte, NC as a registered nurse in 2003. At the time of her death, Mary Jane was working as an RN for a Home Health Care in FL. She really enjoyed caring for others in their time of need. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Friday May 23 from 9-10am at the BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME, Rt. 73 and Evesham Rd. Marlton where a Memorial Service will be held Friday 10am. Inurnment Eglington cemetery, Clarksboro NJ.

Gheysens, Ruth K.

Ruth K. Gheysens, 32, of Belleplain, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2006. She was born in Cape May Court House and was a lifetime resident of this area.

She is survived by her mother, Blanche (nee Caprioni) Creamer and her husband, Jesse; her children, Patrick, Bianca, Frankie Jr., and Tommy; her companion and father of her children, Frank Piernikowski; her grandmother, Ruth Caprioni; her brothers and sisters, Ronald Jr., Christina, Courtney, and Matthew; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald E. Gheysens, Sr. on May 27, 1996.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 12, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 626 North Shore Road, Absecon, NJ 08201.
