Greenig, Marion D.

Greenig , Marion D. nee Dains on Aug. 24, 2001 of the Fountions of Cedar Park, Atco age 85 formerly of Voorhees and Collingswood . She is the wife of the late G. Chester Greenig and survived by her two daughters Judith Young of Cape Coral, FL & Dolores Hiles of Medford, NJ also a sister Elizabeth Buchanan and 4 grandchildren Thomas & Philip Young, Bridget Hiles & Kristen O'Sullivan & 7 greatgrandchildren Kaitlynn, Jesica, Chelsea, Ashley, Thomas, River, & Lilian. Formerly the Secretary & Treasurer of the Precision Arts Manufacturing Co. of Pennsauken where she had retired in 1981 after 46 yrs . Relatives and friends are invited to the memorial service on Friday at 11AM in the auditorium of the Fountains at Cedar Park 114 Hayes Mill Rd. Atco, NJ . Greer, Joseph P.

Joseph P. Greer, 79, of Williamstown, died suddenly on Sunday at home.

Born in Scotland, formerly of Canada and Philadelphia, he was a resident of Williamstown since 1969.

Mr. Greer is a member of Elevator Union Local 5, having worked for Westinghouse Elevator Construction in Philadelphia, PA before retiring in 1989.

He served in the British Armed Forces during WWII.

A member of St. Mary's Parish Family and Knights of Columbus Council #3352 in Williamstown.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 60 years Jessie (nee Towill); 2 sons, Joseph of Franklinville and Alan of San Diego, CA; and 1 daughter Maureen DeGrush of Virginia Beach, VA; and 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon Tuesday at St. Mary's Church, Main Street, Williamstown, NJ where relatives and friends may call 1 hour prior. Interment St. Mary's cemetery, Williamstown. Arrangements by Bell-Hennessy Funeral Home, Williamstown.

Greer, Louis M.

GREER, LOUIS M., Sr., on December 26, 2009, of Moorestown, NJ. Age 77. Beloved husband of Ann (nee Gibson ). Loving father of Louis Jr. (Linda), Helen Dulin (Thomas),and James (Karen). Grandfather of Steven, Brian, Shannon, Ashley, Tricia, and Matthew. Also survived by six great grandchildren, Michael, Tyler, Mike, Vinny, Samantha and Gabby. Mr. Greer was a veteran of the US Navy, who served during the Korean War. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Wednesday December 30 from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt. 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ. Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Louis's name to the Philadelphia VA Medical Center, 3900 Woodland Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19104.

Gregory, Helen M.

Helen M. Gregory, age 84, of Long Branch died Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at St. Barnabas Hospice Center at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born Helen M. Zahronasky in Taylor, PA on May 17, 1923, she subsequently moved to Newark, where she graduated from East Side High School. She was employed by Bamberger's, Newark for several years prior to moving to Long Branch in 1948. She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Gregory; her son, Frank J. Gregory of Oakhurst; three grandchildren, Dr. Sean M. Gregory of Wayside; Dr. Colleen M. Schubel of Clarksburg and Erin M. Gregory of Brooklyn, NY; four great granddaughters, Alyssa Gregory, Katie Gregory, Samantha Schubel and Sydney Schubel.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 4, from 8:30 - 9:30 am at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., (corner of Third Ave), Long Branch. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:00 am at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Long Branch. Interment will be at Woodbine cemetery, Oceanport. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to either St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center at Monmouth Medical Center, 95 Old Short Hills Road, West Orange, NJ 07052 or Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 408 Prospect Street, Long Branch, NJ 07740.

Gregory, D.C., John Warren

John Warren Gregory, D.C., 72, of Cape May Beach, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2003 at Court House Convalescent Center. He was an alumnus of Friends School in Atlantic City, Upsala College, and Chiropractic Institute of New York. He was a Korean War Navy Veteran, serving on the USS Iowa.

An avid Barbershopper, he was a member of the Atlantic City Chapter (Boardwalkers) for many years, and was a founder of the Cape May County Chapter (Cape Harmonaries).

An accomplished pianist, artist, and author, he was fluent in several languages, and was a Civil War and World War II historian.

A loving husband of 48 years to Beulah (Merritt); and loving father of Jill Ann (George), Dr. Scott Andrew (Robin) and Warren Raymond (Melonie); and beloved grandfather of George (J.R.), Stephanie, Jay, Adam, and Dustin.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where relatives and friends may call after 6:00 p.m. Interment is private. Memorial donations may be made to Kentuckiana Children's Center, 1810 Brownsboro Road, Louisville, KY 40206.

Grenier, Norman E.

Grenier - on June 1, 2004 Norman E. beloved husband of Carolyn F. nee Mc Osker of Cherry Hill age 78 also survived by 3 sons Mark, Paul both of NJ and David of Washington DC 2 brothers Raymond of Attleboro, MA & Ronald of Kennedyville, MD. A former attorney for RCA (GE) Moorestown, a Coast Guard Veteran of WWII, a graduate of Brown U., and the Georgetown U. School of Law & Foreign Service. Norman loved sailing in the Chesapeake Bay & New England waters. Services were private and interment will be in the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Mem. Cem. Grey, Marilyn

GREY, MARILYN of Cherry Hill, NJ, age 64. passed away on August 5, 2006 after a long illness. Devoted mother of daughters Samantha Grey, 35, of San Francisco, CA and Joanna Grey, 29, of Maple Shade, NJ. In addition to her accomplishments as a mother, Marilyn also gave her time and energy to charitable organizations and architectural design projects. Services are private. Grey, Michael Andrew

Capt. Michael Andrew Grey, 35, of South Dennis, passed away November 21, 2008 after a brief illness. Captain Mike worked on the Miss Avalon for over 20 years until buying his own head boat the "Starship" in North Carolina two years ago.

He leaves behind his wife, Kim (Lion); daughters, Jade and Amanda; his parents, Michael (Zeke) and Kathy Grey; his sisters, Jeanine Robbins and her husband Scott, and Betsy Knebels and her husband Steve; his nephews, Brian and Scott; his niece, Emily; his mother in law, Linda Smallwood and her husband Chuck; his father in law, Mike Lion and his wife, Sharon; his numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, along with many cherished friends and co-fisherman; also his pride and joy, his two labs, Kyra and Hawk. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Catherine and Ernest Hall and Dorothy and Andrew Grey.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 28, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where relatives and friends may call after 1:30 p.m. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made to Friend In Need, P.O. Box 5, Avalon, NJ 08202.

Mrs. Grieco was formerly active with The Church of St Anthony's and St Michaels, Chester, PA. While at St Anthony's she was active with Sodality.

Other: Mrs. Grieco was a loving Mother and great cook. She was a member of Sacred Heart Hospital Auxiliary.

SURVIVORS: Wife of the late Joseph J. Grieco who died in 1964; A Daughter: Maria A. Grieco of Brookhaven, PA; Four Brothers: Serafino Fee Scattolini of Florida, Albert Scattolini of Oregon, Dante Scattolini of Ridley Park and Louis Scattolini of Jennersville, PA; Also survived by Nieces and Nephews; Sister of the late Vera Scattolini McHugh, Alfred Scattolini and Jospehine Pippy Scattolini.

Grieco, Dorothy Ossino

Dorothy Ossino Grieco, age 87 of Tinton Falls, died Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at the Renaissance Gardens at Seabrook Village, Tinton Falls. She was a parishioner of Holy Innocents Roman Catholic Church, Neptune. Born and raised in Brooklyn she moved to Tinton Falls 4 years ago.

She is predeceased by her son, Alfred in 2002. She he is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joseph Grieco; a son, Paul Grieco of VA; a daughter, Maria Henry of Cumbermere,Ontario, Canada; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 22, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue, corner of Third Ave, Long Branch. Funeral, Friday, 8:30am from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Long Branch. Interment will be announced.

BORN IN: Philadelphia, PA HAD BEEN A RESIDENT OF Chester since 1958 BEFORE MOVING TO West Chester, PA with her family in 2003.

ORGNIZATIONS: Church: Active member of the Church of St Katherine Drexel, Chester, PA for 48 years.

Other: A woman devoted to her home and family.

Wife of the late Charles J. Griesser, Jr. who died in 1996.
Mother of the late William and Robert Griesser.

SURVIVORS: Survived by A Son: Charles J. Griesser, III of Aston, PA; One Brother: Raymond Hagenkotter; Four Grandchildren: Danielle (Robert) Ponto of Pottstown, PA, Melissa (Peter) Cavanaugh of Drexel Hill, PA, Brian (Tina) Griesser of West Chester, PA; Eight Great-Grandchildren; A Daughter-in-Law: Linda E. Griesser.

Griffith, Florence S.

Florence S. Griffith, 92, of Stone Harbor, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at The Masonic Home of New Jersey, Burlington, NJ. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Florence began spending time in the summer at the shore in 1955 and moved to the area permanently from Collingswood, NJ in 1975. She was married and predeceased by her husband Horace "Griff" Griffith. She was a homemaker and was also involved with the Order of the Eastern Star, Cape May County Historical Society, Women's Civic Club of Stone Harbor, American Legion Women's Auxiliary, and a member of Cold Spring Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Griffith is survived by her daughters, Norma (Robert) McAfee of Collingswood, NJ, Gail Griffith of Southampton, NJ, and Betty (Albert) Dickerson of Pahoa, HI; her five grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be on Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at 3:00 p.m., at the Masonic Home of New Jersey, 902 Jacksonville Rd., Burlington, NJ 08016. In addition, there will be a memorial service on Thursday, April 17, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at the Cold Spring Presbyterian Church, 780 Seashore Rd., Cold Spring, NJ. Burial will be in the Cold Spring Presbyterian cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Masonic Hospice Services at the same address or at www.njmasonic.org.

Griffiths, Helen Esther

Helen Esther Griffiths, 88, of Dennisville, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2007. Born in Camden, she moved to Avalon over 50 years ago before moving to Dennisville in 1978. She formerly worked as a dietary aide at Eastern Shore Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Stone Harbor and was previously on the altar guild at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Bridgeton. She enjoyed reading, traveling, camping in Virginia, and taking doll making classes.

Mrs. Griffiths is survived by her sons, John Griffiths, Jr., Harry Griffiths, and Albert Griffiths; her daughters, Helen Ridler, Joan Caterina, Jean Griffiths, and Kathleen Riggins; her sisters, Lynn Walker and Marion Neimeier; 23 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Griffiths, Sr. in 1985, and her daughters, Sandra Shaw in 2005 and Marie Griffiths.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 95th Street and Third Avenue, Stone Harbor, where visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Mary's Church Memorial Fund in memory of Helen Griffiths, 9425 Third Avenue, Stone Harbor, NJ 08247.
