GEORGE HANNA went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 10th, 2004 at the Hospice of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. He was 94 yrs. of age. Born and raised in West Chester, PA he resided in the Leisuretowne section of Southampton, NJ for the past 2 yrs. moving there from Cherry Hill & Audubon, NJ. He is the son of the late Levi & Lucy Hanna. A retired employee of the Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Stratford, NJ, he retired in 1993 after 20 years of service. Prior to this he worked for the Camden Grocer's Exchange from 1934 to 1965 where he was a Supervisor for Mgmt. from 64-65. He also worked for Container Corp in Manayunk, Pa and owned George Hanna Hauling in Audubon, NJ and was a Veteran of the Army serving in the WWII. He is the beloved husband of Helen E. Hanna of Southampton, NJ and the loving stepfather of Ruth V. Kraybill of Millford, DE. He is also survived by his sisters Lily Sylvester of Middletown, PA, Alice Slyer of Uwchland, PA and Ella Carr and her husband Oscar of Cumberland, RI, his many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and his special feline friends Kitty, Fluffy and Precious. He is the husband of the late Catherine E. Hanna. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Monday from 7:00 - 9:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME 127 Medford Mt. Holly Rd. Medford, NJ, (609-953-7600), where a Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Union Hill Cem. in Kennett Square, PA. HANS, Anna Mae

On May 1, 2004, of Deptford, formerly of Stanfill Towers in Haddon Heights, and East Camden. Age 88. Beloved wife of the late Clarence. Loving mother of Lorraine McKelvey (Bill) of Atco, Mary Boettcher (Ron Houston) of Deptford, Mildred Houts of Birmingham, AL, Leonard Hans of Deptford and Sandra Hans, wife of the late Karl Hans of Palmyra. Devoted grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 10. Dear sister of Karl Ley of Westmont and Mildred Manning of Audubon. Mrs. Hans was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Disabled American Veterans. Hanserd, Mona Chris

Mona Chris Hanserd, age 55 of Long Branch, died Friday, June 3, 2005 at home. She was a patient access management representative and prior to that she had worked in the pre-admission department at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch for 25 years. Mona enjoyed fishing, crabbing, bowling, and softball. She was also an avid fan of Tiger Woods. Born in Long Branch, she had been a life resident. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas F. Jennings, Jr. in 1974, her parents, Albert and Ola Hanserd, and her brother, Gerald Hanserd.

Surviving is her daughter and son in law, Tonya and George Medina, Long Branch; a brother, Larmar Hanserd, California; 2 sisters, Roxy Holmes, Virginia; Delores Stewart, Georgia; 2 grandchildren, Randolph and Joseph Rodriguez; 4 sisters in law, Carmen Jennings; Maryland; Aleta Brook, Eatontown, Gail Roundtree, Long Branch; Brenda Bullock, Eatontown; a God Child, Tyrone Stewart, California, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave, on the corner of Third, Long Branch, on Tuesday, June 7, from 2-4, and 7-9 pm with a funeral service to begin at 8:15 pm.

Harford Sr., Robert T.

HARFORD, ROBERT T., SR. -well known contractor in Camden & Burlington Co., died at Thomas Jefferson Hospital on November 13, 2004. He was 85 yrs old. Longtime companion of Joan Martin. Loving father of Robert, Jr. and his wife Debbie. Grandfather of Melanie Harford Bilbow, Lisa Harford, Robert Harford III and Rebekah Harford, and 4 great grandchildren, Rachel, Michael, Connor and Aidan Bilbow. Brother of Patricia Harford Heuber and John Harford. Also survived by his extended family, Debra Martin Bernier, Scott David Martin, Richard E. Martin III and 8 grandchildren. Mr. Harford was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served his country during WWII. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Saturday November 27, 2004, from 10:00-11:00 AM at St. Pius X, 344 Kresson Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ. Memorial Mass will be at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Hargis, Catharine E.

Catharine E. Hargis, 95 died on Saturday in the Crest Haven Nursing Home, Cape May Court House, NJ. Born in Altoona, PA she was a resident at the nursing home for the past 6 months coming from Ephrata, PA where she had lived with her son since 1996. She had been a resident of North Wildwood since 1940 coming from Cape May.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Angelsea where she was a member of the Dorcas Ladies and was Past Superintendent of the Sunday School.

She is survived by her son Thomas L. of Ephrata, PA. Also survived by two grand daughters Shawne Rudolph and Jennifer Arment and two great grand daughters Brooke and Alisha.

Memorial Funeral Service on Saturday 10/20/01 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Angelsea, 303 Atlantic Ave., North Wildwood, NJ 08260. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the church. There are no calling hours. Interment was in Cold Spring Presbyterian cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ.

Harker, Mildred Joyce

On March 22, 2008. Age 88. Born in Vincentown, she lived much of her life in Marlton. Beloved wife of the late Carlton B. Harker. Loving mother of Aaron B. Harker (Alicia) of Tennessee, Joyce H. Miller (Vernon, Jr.) of Port Murray, NJ, Kenneth L. Harker (Helen) of Elm, NJ, and C. Terry Harker (JoAnn) of Arizona. Devoted grandmother of Kimberly Licata, Karen Biello, Ryan McCrea, Lance Miller, and Patrick Harker; great grandmother of Michael and Aiden Biello and Thomas Licata. Daughter of the late C. Harold and Edith K. Joyce. Dear sister of Allen H. Joyce of Vincentown and the late Anna J. Kester. Mrs. Harker was a lifelong homemaker and volunteer whose passions were her family and growing flowers. Currently a member of Wiley Church, she was formerly a member of Marlton Baptist Church and the Ladies Fellowship there. She was also active in the Evesham Historical Society, the American Heart Association, the Red Cross and Girl Scouts. Relatives and friends are invited to the Memorial Service 2pm Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Wiley Church, 99 E. Main St., Marlton. The interment at Odd Fellows Cem. in Pemberton will be private. Harmon, Jr., Kenneth E.

Kenneth E. Harmon, Jr., age 64, of Cape May Court House, NJ, died on Saturday, September 12, 2009, at the Cape Regional Medical Center. He was born in St. Lucie County, FL and lived in Levittown, PA for many years before moving to this area eight years ago. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Bristol, PA and the Crest Community Church of Wildwood Crest, NJ.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Period. He retired after thirty four years as a master plumber for St. Mary's Medical Center in Langhorne, PA and later worked at the Cape Regional Medical Center for four years. Ken was an avid fisherman; he was a former Boy Scout Leader; coached soccer and baseball and played semi-pro soccer while serving in the Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Ivy; three sons: Richard of Voorhees; Ronnie of Morrisville, PA and Jason of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; three brothers: George of PA; Eddie of KY and Michael of FL; one sister, Essie Harmon of MD; two granddaughters: Samantha and Hannah of Morrisville, PA; step-son: Barry (Mary); step-daughter: Donna; step-grandsons: Myles Mossbrooks of Shippensburg, PA and Eddie Jones, serving in the military in Afghanistan. He was preceded in death by his first wife of thirty three years, Linda, and his parents, Kenneth E. and Esther (Tanzler) Harmon, Sr.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 18, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ. Harn, Elaine Marie

Elaine Marie Harn (nee Cascarella), of Cape May Court House, passed away peacefully at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital with family members by her side on Monday, April 4, 2005. Born in Philadelphia, PA on May 3, 1927, she was the daughter of Frank and Florence Cascarella. She graduated from Haddon Heights High School. Upon graduation, she went to work for Bell Telephone Company. She then married , moved to California, and had two daughters. In 1960 she moved back to New Jersey, raising her daughters and working for Acme Markets for 27 years. Three years ago she moved to Loyalton, where she had many friends, including her best friend, Lillian.

She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Florence, and her brother, Robert. She is survived by her daughters, Jane and husband Jonathan Denmark, and Barbara and husband Al Mortensen; her sister, Marie Springer; her brother, Frank and wife Marion Cascarella; three grandsons, Eric, Joshua, and Matthew; one great granddaughter, Taylor; a great grandson on the way; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2005 at 11:30 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Interment is private. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 626 North Shore Road, Absecon, NJ 08201.

Harper, Pamela Joy

Pamela Joy Harper, age 61, slipped into eternity on August 23, 2006, at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey where she resided.

She was predeceased by her parents Newton T. Flax and Dorothy Poole Flax, step son Michael Harper, and son-in-law Andre P. Sherrill Sr.

Pamela attended the Red Bank area school system, where she graduated from Red Bank High School in 1963. On June 25, 1971, she joined matrimony to Samuel Harper. Within that same year, she attended the Monmouth Medical Vocational School where she received her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Pamela was employed at Marlboro State Hospital for 21 years and served as a private duty nurse for the Stouffers Agency.

Pam believed in not only living in her community but in serving as well. She was a former member of the Lee B. Gibson Temple #1014. She was a proprietor of Piner's Lounge, Shore Casket Company, and Piner's Inc. She was a sponsor for Division of Developmental Disability for 13 years.

Her work did not stop there. Where there was a family, a child, a stranger or an animal, she always felt the need to reach out and help or simply extend and open her arms and heart. Many considered her as mom, Aunt Pam, Grandma, Godmother, and friend.

Pamela was confirmed at the age of 12 at Saint Thomas Episcopal Church in Red Bank. Later in life, she rededicated her life in Holy Spirit and was baptized at Pilgrim Baptist Church where she served with the Nurse's Ministry and many other ministries and committees.

Those who will continue to celebrate her life are a loving and dedicated husband, Samuel Harper; two daughters, Lisa L. Sherrill and Paula M. Brown; a son-in-law, Otis Brown III; a sister, Barbara M. Ham; brother-in-law, Jay R. Ham Sr.; two nephews, Jay R. Ham Jr. and Marc C. Ham; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 28th, from 5-7 PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 7 PM at the Pilgrim Baptist Church, 172 Shrewsbury Ave., Red Bank. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care, 300 Second Avenue, CW6, Long Branch, NJ 07740.

HARPER, Robert James

On July 27, 2009. Of Mt. Laurel, formerly of Cherry Hill. Age 86. Beloved husband of Helene (nee Bzura). Loving father of Sally West (Bryan) of Hayfield, MN and Robert Harper of Marlton. Devoted grandfather of Sheryl, Daniel, Kristen and Robert. Mr. Harper was a Veteran of the Navy during World War II and a member of the VFW in Mt Laurel. He worked for E.J. Shultz Meat Co. in Phila. On July 7, 2007. Of Magnolia. Age 71. Beloved husband of Ruth (nee Norbeck). Loving father of Wayne and his wife Nathalie, Thomas and his wife Kathy, Susan Boenning and her husband Thomas, and Karen Zappley and her husband Phillip. Devoted grandfather of Kathleen and Kelsey Harrie, Thomas (TJ) and Jacquline Boenning, and Anthony and Andrew Zappley. Dear brother of Willard LeRoy Harrie and his wife Marion and the late Armond Harrie and his wife Alberta. Mr. Harrie was born in Upstate Pennsylvania and lived in Cramer Hill and East Camden prior to Magnolia. HARRIGAN, CATHARINE V. (nee McClernan)

On April 24, 2003 formerly of Pitman and Camden, NJ; age 88 years.

Beloved wife of the late Edward J.; Devoted mother of Theresa and her husband Joseph Fabri of Thorofare, Kathleen and her husband John Pabst of Pennsauken and Sheila and her husband Alan McIlvaine of Paulsboro; Loving grandmother of Mike, John, Sharon & Lori and great grandmother of Lyn Marie, Casey, Kelly, Rachel & Erin; Dear sister of William & Albert McClernan & Virginia Harrison.

Mrs. Harrigan was a past president of the Army Navy in Pennsauken.

Robert Harris, 89, of Long Branch, died Monday July, 10, 2006 at Monmouth Convalescent Center, Long Branch. Interment will be at White Ridge cemetery, Eatontown on Friday July 14, 2006 at 10AM. Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch is in charge of arrangements.

Harris, Dorothy V.

Dorothy V. Harris, 80, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Wednesday, January 07, 2004 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. Born in New York City to the late George S. and Phyllis (Sears) James, she had been a lifetime resident here. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Cape May Court House. She was involved with the Middle Township Recreation Department and Democratic Club.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her son, John and his wife, Debbie of Cape May Court House; and her grandchildren, John of Dearborn, MI and Jennifer of Cape May Court House.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Cape May Court House. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 1 Church Street, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.

Harrison, Arrie J.

Arrie J. Harrison, 85, of Millsboro, DE, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2008. Born in Millsboro to the late Samuel and Mary (Morris) Jackson, she was a member of the Harmony United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Harrison had a long career as a teacher, principal, supervisor and director of Wilmington Elementary Schools and as director of New Castle County Elementary Schools. In the late 1960's, she was appointed as Director of Elementary Education for the Wilmington School District, becoming the first African American to hold an administrative position and be a decision maker in elementary education in the state.

She received a B.A. in Elementary Education from Delaware State University, a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and her +30 degree from the University of Delaware. She also received additional courses at Bank Street College in New York City and Syracuse University. She obtained certifications as an elementary teacher, elementary supervisor, elementary principal, and director of elementary education.

Mrs. Harrison was a teacher at Samuel B. Elbert Elementary and was a teacher and principal at the following schools: Absalom Jones Elementary, Warwick Elementary, and Martin Luther King Elementary. She also served as Administrative Director of Elementary Education of Wilmington Public Schools from 1965-1977, Coordinator of the New Castle County Curriculum Task Force from 1977-1978, and Director of Elementary Education for the New Castle County School District, Area III from 1978 until retiring from New Castle County School District on June 30, 1981.

Mrs. Harrison has been a member of many professional and service organizations, including the National Council of Administrative Women, Delaware Association of School Administration, Delaware Elementary School Principals Association, Delaware Reading Association, the Wilmington Chapter of the National Association of University Women, past president of the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, Delaware State University Alumni Association, the Wilmington branch of the NAACP, and the YWCA. She also has served as secretary and chairman of the personnel committee for the Layton Home for Aged Persons, secretary and chairman of the personnel committee of the Children's Bureau of Delaware, a board member of the Senior Citizens of Wilmington, member of the Chesapeake Bay Girl Scout Council, and the Links, Inc. - Wilmington Chapter. She also served as member and plaintiff representative for the Brandywine School District, New Castle County Desegregation Advisory Committee, a member of the United Way of Delaware, Adult Basic Education Advisory Council, Christiana School District, and Delaware Adolescent Programs, Inc. She was secretary and chairman of the personnel committee of the Children's Bureau of Delaware; the program chairman fo the American Association of Retired Persons; membership chairman of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program; president of the New Castle County Alumni Chapter, Delaware State University; past president of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority; chairman of the Special Project Committee, Delta Kappa Gamma Society; and member of the Brandywine Professional Association.

Mrs. Harrison has received numerous awards, including Alumnus of the Year from Delaware State University, Woman of the Year from University Women, the Head Start Service Award, the Title I Service Award, the Follow Through Service Award, Delaware Women Remembered, and the Presidential Citation from the National Association for Equal Opportunity in Higher Education. She also received the Outstanding Negro Woman from Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, and the volunteer service award from Delaware Association of Adult and Community Education.

Mrs. Harrison is survived by her son, Charles A. Harrison, III and his wife, Cathy; her two grandchildren, Dawn Stanchina and her husband, Robert and Michael Harrison; her great grandchildren, Madison and Cole Stanchina; her sister in law, Katherine Jackson; two God daughters, Faye Blanks and Felicia Street Wright; one God son, Stanley Zakrociemski; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Arrie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Alfred Harrison, and all of her siblings, Hersel Jackson, Helen Harmon, Herman Jackson, Preston Jackson and Kermit Jackson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. at the Harmony United Methodist Church, Millsboro, DE, where viewing will begin at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Harmony cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Harmony United Methodist Church.

Harrison, Marjorie

HARRISON, on July 1, 2002, Marjorie (Margie) of Cherry Hill, formerly of Haddonfield. Age 80. Beloved wife of Charles (Chuck). Loving Mother of Charles Jr. (Lynda) of Marlton, Scott of Cherry Hill, and Debbie (John) Vurgason of Cedar Run, NJ. She is also survived by her brother Alfred H. (Suzan) Williams of Haddonfield and her sister Shirley W. (Stanley) Baker of Marlton. And survived by her grandchildren Jennifer, Kira, Jeff, Cody, and Chelsea. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM Monday at Bradley Funeral Home Rt. 73 & Evesham Rd. Marlton NJ. The Harrison family will receive friends following the service. Memorial donations may be made in Margie's memory to the Deborah Heart & Lung Center Browns Mills, NJ 08015.
