James, Louis S.

LOUIS S. JAMES of Leisure Towne, Southampton, NJ, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at his home in Leisure Towne after a heroic battle against lung cancer. He was 72. Born in Phila., PA he has resided in Southampton for the past 10 months, moving there from Long Neck, DE and previously living in Bucks Co and NE Phila. The son of the late Charles and Elsie (Nee Gold) James, Louis is a retired Letter Carrier with the U.S. Postal Service, Branch 157 in Phila., PA. He is a Korean Veteran of the US Army and also a member of the American Legion. Lou was an avid fisherman and boater and enjoyed card games, casinos and cruises. He is the beloved husband of thirty-three years to Carol R. (Nee Giannini) James of Leisure Towne, Southampton, NJ, the Loving Father of Louis C. James, Michael J. James, J. Robert James, Ruthann Coyle and George Dodd. He is also survived by his brother Solis James and his wife Bert, his sister Beverly Stern and her husband Sandy, Grandchildren including Nicole Howard and her husband Johnny and Patrick Dunleavy Jr., and his Beloved Great Granddaughter Destiny Nicole Howard as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be sorely missed. Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. James, Gloria J.

Gloria J. James, 63, of North Cape May passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2009. Born in Tarboro, NC to Robert and Minnie (Tann) Mayo, she moved to the area in 1961 and worked at the Claridge Casino.

Gloria is survived by her daughters, Arnita and Dawn; ten brothers and sisters, her special sister, Celina Johnson; three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February, 10, 2009 at The Macedonia Baptist Church, Lafayette and Franklin Sts., Cape May, NJ 08204.

Jamieson, Carol M.

Carol M. Jamieson, (Nee Mazza), went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 12, 2002 at her home in Mt. Laurel, NJ. She was 50 years of age. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she has resided in Mt. Laurel, NJ for the past 18 years, moving there from N.E. Phila., PA. A well known business owner, she owned and operated Hidden Treasures Consignment Shop in Marlton, NJ from 1994 to 2001. During this time she supported many organizations through her fashion shows including the Ronald McDonald House, St. Vincents Childrens Home and Camp No Worries. She was a member of the Fellowship Alliance Chapel in Medford, NJ and Women to Women in Cherry Hill, NJ. She is the beloved wife of Glenn R. Jamieson of Mt. Laurel, NJ and the Loving Mother of Jessica A. Polizzi and her son-in-law Damien of Mt. Laurel, NJ and Melissa L. Jamieson of Mt. Laurel, NJ. She is also survived by her father Robert Mazza Sr. of Wildwood, NJ, her brothers Robert Mazza of Pottstown, PA, Anthony Mazza of Phila., PA, and her sister Joann Hartsock of Horscham, PA. Jamison, Jerome "Bird"

Jamison, Jerome A. "Bird", 53, of Clermont, passed away Friday, October 16, 2009 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Glenside, PA to Lawrence and Margaret Jamison, he was the youngest of 10 children. He spent summers at the shore and moved there in 1984 and worked for the CMC Bridge Commission. He loved spending time with his family and at the beach where he was the self-proclaimed body surfing champion.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Cindy (Doyle); children, Christina, William, Lizanne, and Tommy; his granddaughter Alexis Anne; 6 brothers, 2 sisters, many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 4308 Landis Ave., Sea Isle City, NJ 08243. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a cancer benefit organization of one's choice.

Jamison Jr., William T.

WILLIAM T. JAMISON JR, age 88, of Tabernacle, NJ, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2007. He is formerly of Davenport, FL and Newtown Square, PA. Born in Philadelphia, PA., he is the son of the late William T. and Sarah Jamison and Husband of the late Pearl H. (Nee Dickinson) and the late Marie E. (Nee Brown). A retired Steam Fitter for Local 420 of Phila., PA, he retired in 1978 after joining the union in 1940. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus in Springfield, PA and the Police Athletic League and is a WWII Veteran of the US Navy. He is the Beloved Father of Patricia J. Reilly of Hershey, PA, Sandra E. Whitson (Walter Howard) of Montclare, PA and Donna M. Wolf (Paul) of Tabernacle, NJ. He is also survived by his brother John Jamison of Clifton Heights, PA, his sister Sarah Jane Murray of Phila, PA, his Grandchildren James & Scott Reilly, Tricia Freitag, Thomas J., Sandra Lynne & Stephen Michael Whitson, Brian M. & Lauren A. Wolf, and Christina & Rachel Jamison and also 11 Great Grandchildren. He is the father of the late Howard C. Jankowski, Jr., Stephen Francis

Stephen Francis Jankowski, Jr., 73, of Rio Grande, died on Monday, May 23, 2005 at home. Born in Perth Amboy to the late Stephen Francis and Violet (Michalski) Jankowski, Sr., he moved here 18 years ago from Jefferson Township. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Erma, and the Odd Fellows. He was Chief of Police at Picatinny Arsenal. He was currently a bus driver for the Middle Township Schools. He formerly worked on the night crew at Shop Rite. He enjoyed spending time with his family, as well as fishing, traveling, and feeding and watching the birds while sitting on "his" porch.

Mr. Jankowski is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dorothy (nee Roder); his daughter, Cynthia Gibson and her husband, Kevin of Lake Hiawatha; his son, Mark Jankowski and his wife, Jennifer of Varnamtown, NC; his brothers, Stanley Jankowski and his wife, Pat of Tuckerton, and Richard Jankowski and his wife, Diane of Little Egg Harbor; his grandchildren, Stacy, Nichole and her husband, Brandon, Daniel, and Katie; and his great grandchildren, Caleb and Sage.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 27, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House. Viewings will be held on Thursday, May 26 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Cold Spring. OLGA H. JANNEN (Nee Paulsen) of Southampton, NJ, passed away on November 23, 2009. She was 90 yrs. of age. Born in Amrum, Germany, she is the wife of the late Karl T. Jannen. She is survived by her son Christian Jannen of Southampton, NJ and her daughter Helga Jannen of Southampton, NJ. She is the mother of the late Karl A. Jannen. JARNEY, CHRIS on February 24, 2007 of Marlton for 25 years. Age 57. Beloved husband of Lorraine (nee Bottie) for 30 years. Devoted father of Crystal Mazzella and her husband Nick, Regina Jarney, Megan Jarney and Zach Dillich. Dear brother of Helen Greenberg. Also survived by his father's wife Marion Jarney and mother-in-law Catherine Stirber. Chris worked as the Director of Homecare Services for Comfort Keepers in Mt. Holly. He was a former member of the Evesham Education Foundation, Home Health Assembly of NJ and Board of Trustees for Samaritan Hospice. He was also an avid NY Giants fan and loved spending time on LBI. Jarvis, Edward B.

Edward B. Jarvis of Marlton, NJ died peacefully at home on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010 following a brief illness. He was 72. Born in Camden, NJ, he was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson HS, Class of 55 and a graduate of Drexel University. He served in the US Air Force traveling around the world until his discharge in San Antonio, TX where he met his wife. He was an Engineer for GE's aerospace division for nearly 30 years and retired in 1993. After his retirement he enjoyed traveling with friends and family and visited most of the U.S. and parts of Canada and Nova Scotia in his RV. His many hobbies included music, HO model trains, crossword puzzles and fishing with his grandchildren. He is the Beloved Husband of 50 yrs. of Margaret (nee Hoenow) of Marlton, NJ; their sons Donald (Jeanette) of Pennsauken, NJ, Carl (Carol) of Mt. Laurel, NJ, and Mark (Ardra) of Williamstown, NJ, and their daughter Janet (Jim) Ambrose of Marlton, NJ; and their grandchildren; Rick (Amber), Jeff, Will, Josh, Matt, Cole, Mike, Corinne, Jeremy, Kyra, Marissa, and Josiah. He is also survived by his brothers Kurt (Judy) of Utah and Bill of Indiana, sister-in-law Ruth Legnon and Brother-in-law Walter Hoenow both of TX; and many loving nieces and nephews. Jaudon, Sr., Herbert

Herbert Jaudon Sr., 72, of Cape May Court House, was born December 2, 1929 in Ridgelane, SC and departed this life on Tuesday, May 14, 2002 at his home. He was the son of the late Mardircia Smith and the late Sarah Jaudon Smith.

He moved to Woodbine at an early age where he joined the First Baptist Church of Woodbine. He met and married the late Thelma Jaudon, then served in the U.S. Army for 18 years and 9 months. He was a construction worker for Union Local 172 until his health failed. He also was a prison guard for 13 years and did other jobs as well.

He is survived by his children, Herbert Jaudon Jr., Jewell Takeall, A. Kevin Jaudon, and Marcia Upton; his sister, Florence Buford of Philadelphia; his brother, Peter Smith of Philadelphia; a very close nephew, Ozzie of New York; 9 grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; his two daughters in love, Tina and Terry; two sons in love, Anthony Takeall, and Kenin Upton; one aunt, Willie May Youmans; nieces; nephews; and a host of cousins, nieghbors, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 18 at 3:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery.

Jean, Julie A.

Julie A. Jean, 60, of Woodbine, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2009. Born in Philadelphia to Carl and Ethel Morton, she grew up in Stone Harbor. She worked as a hairdresser and owned Julie's Salon in Avalon and loved riding horses.

Along with her parents, she is survived by her husband, Roger; her son, Gary (Pam) Aydelotte of Wildwood; brother, Kenny (Lynn) Morton of Montana; sisters, Joanne (Richard) Hovde of Montana and Carol (Billy) Tomlin of Woodbine; and her granddaughter, Danielle Aydelotte.

Funeral Services will be on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Viewing will begin at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be at Head Of The River cemetery in Estelle Manor. Jeffcoat, Susan M

SUSAN M. JEFFCOAT, (Nee Cheney), of Medford, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on September 8, 2009. She was 47 yrs. of age. Born in Buffalo, NY, she grew up in Basking Ridge, NJ and was a graduate of Ridge H.S. Class of 1980 and the University of Delaware in 1984 with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy. She recently received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Arcadia College. As a Physical Therapist she has worked for the Burlington County Special Services School in Westampton, NJ for the past 19 yrs. and wrote several grants for the school. She was a member of the A.P.T.A. and a strong voice for the children. Susan is the Beloved Wife of Michael D. Jeffcoat of Medford, NJ and the Loving Mother of Christine M. Kasmar and Michael J. Jeffcoat both of Medford, NJ. She is also survived by her mother Mary M. (Carstens) Cheney of Medford, NJ, her brother James G. Cheney and his wife Lori of Marrietta, GA and her sister Beth Schmohl and her husband John of Richmond, VA, and her nieces and nephews, Caroline, Catherine, Elizabeth and James William Cheney and Mary Lynne and Trey Schmohl. Jefferson, William Alexander

William Alexander Jefferson, 68, of Long Branch, departed this Earth on March 30, 2005, at the Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, New Jersey. He was born on June 14, 1936 in Lumberton, Mississippi and lived in Long Branch, New Jersey for the past 21 years.

William was a graduate of Thomas A. Edison State College in Trenton, NJ and The New York Institute of Technology in New York, NY. He served his country honorably in the United States Army and retired from active duty in 1984, after 25 years of distinguished service; followed by 20 years of service for Arrow Limousine in Red Bank. He was also an active member of the American Legion Post 266 in Neptune, NJ.

He was predeceased by his beloved parents John and Nancy Jefferson and two sisters Hattie and Rutchelle Jefferson. He is survived by three brothers John, Henry and Willie Jefferson.

He leaves behind his loving wife Reiko Jefferson. Keeping his legacy are his sons Alex Ray Jefferson, William K. Jefferson, Matthew Dutton, his adoring daughter, Moniku Rene Jefferson, his grandchildren Antijuan C. Jefferson, Courtney Jefferson, Tajahn M. Jefferson Williams, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

He was also loved and respected by a host of extended family, friends and neighbors.

A memorial service and visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 5th at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave on the corner of Third Ave, in Long Branch, New Jersey. Funeral service and Interment will be held in Mississippi.

Jeffries Jr., Charles R.

CHARLES R. JEFFRIES JR, age 74 yrs, of Shamong, New Jersey went home to be with the Lord on August 4, 2003. Born in Phila., PA, he is the son of the late Charles R. and Annie (Nee Carter) Jeffries. He has resided in Shamong for the past 17 yrs. moving there from Phila., PA. A graduate of North East High School in Phila., he was an Independent Insurance Broker operating the Charles R. Jeffries Insurance Agency in Phila. for 20 years until his retirement in 1995. He is also a dedicated member of the Shawnee Baptist Church and a former member and trustee of the Zion Baptist Church in Phila. He is the beloved husband of Norma (Nee Simms) Jeffries and loving father of Charles R. III of Phila., PA and Carter Jeffries of Shamong. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Shawnee Baptist Church 303 Oak Shade Rd. Jeffs, Christina M.

Christina M. Jeffs, age 40, a life resident of Long Branch, died Wednesday, September 24, 2003 at Pocono Medical Center in Pennsylvania. She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. She was born in Philadelphia, PA. Surviving is her mother, Jane Donohue Jeffs of Long Branch; her father, Howard Jeffs of FL; one brother, Gregory Jeffs of GA; two sisters, Jacqueline Jeffs of East Stroudsburg, PA; Colleen Jeffs of Long Branch and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at the Damiano Funeral Home, Third and Franklins aves, Long Branch on Monday, September 29 from 7-9 pm with a service to begin at 8:30 pm.

Jengeleski, Louis Andrew

Louis Andrew Jengeleski age 84 of Eatontown died Wednesday June 11, 2003 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. He was employed by Hyatt Roller Bearing, Harrison for 30 years before retiring. Born in Langondale, Pa, he had lived in Kearny and Roselle before moving to Eatontown. He served his country honorably in the US Army during WWII.

He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy Mc Guire Jengeleski in 1967 and a son Andrew Louis Jengeleski in 1978. Surviving are 2 daughters, Rosemary Jengeleski, Eatontown and Pamela Ann Sapoff, Indiana, 3 grandchildren, Rebecca Keith, Jennifer Riley and Gregory Sapoff.

Relatives and friends may call at the Damiano Funeral Home, Third and Franklin Aves, Long Branch on Friday from 4-8 pm. Funeral Saturday, 9:30 am at the funeral home with a service to begin at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Rosedale cemetery, Linden.

Jenik, William F.

JENIK, on November 24, 2001, William F. of Cherry Hill. Age 84. Beloved husband of 52 years of the late Helen Beyer Jenik. He was born and raised in New York City and has resided in Cherry Hill since 1965. A veteran of the US ARMY, William attained rank of Staff Sergeant and served during WWII in the Mediterranean Allied Air Force (MAAF), in Sicily and the North Africa Campaign. Mr. Jenik was a Mechanical Draftsman employed with Brooklyn Naval Shipyard from the late 1940's until the shipyard closed. He was employed with the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard from 1964-1981. In 1981, he retired from government work and worked full time in private industry until 1983. An active member of Collingswood Senior Center, the Cherry Hill Maturity Club, and Trinity Presbyterian Church, William enjoyed reading and collecting First Day Covers and coins. He is survived by his sons, Roy William and William Charles; daughters in law, Barbara Jenik and Theresa Lang, and her children, Jonathan & Maria. Also survived by a sister in law, Lillian Cadra and her children, Caren & Peter, a niece, Patricia Jenik, a nephew, Clifford Krause and many other relatives and long time friends. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Wednesday from 10am-1pm at the Bradley Funeral Home Rt. 73 and Evesham Rd. Marlton (856) 983-1005. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday at 2pm at Trinity Presbyterian Church Rt. 70 Cherry Hill. Inurnment of cremains will take place at Trinity Presbyterian Church Columbarium at a later date. Jenkins, Edith

Evangelist Edith McNeil Jenkins, 101, of Cape May Court House, departed this life on June 29, 2009 at the Court House Convalescent Center in Cape May Court House. Evangelist Jenkins was born on June 6, 1908 to the late Samuel and Isabelle McNeil. She spent her childhood years in South Carolina, then moved to Philadelphia where she married the late Deacon Rias Jenkins. In the 1920's the Jenkins family moved to Cape May Court House.

Evangelist Jenkins is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Bond of New York; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; extended family, church family; and friends. She and her late husband had three other children, who are deceased, James (Jake), John, and Liz.

Evangelist Jenkins was a Holy Ghost filled missionary who was a member of Tabernacle Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith in Pleasantville for over 50 years. Her pastor is Suffragan Bishop Otis L. Grayson, Sr. She served on the ministerial staff and was a dedicated member and faithful worker until her health began to fail.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. at Christ Gospel Church "Love Center", 2209 Route 9 South, Whitesboro, where viewing starts at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Fairview cemetery, Cape May Court House.

Jenkinson, Arthur J.

Arthur J. Jenkinson, 91, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2007 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia to the late John and Mabel (Daebler) Jenkinson, he moved here permanently 24 years ago from Havertown, PA after summering here since 1945. He was formerly employed by General Electric in Philadelphia. He enjoyed boating, fishing and crabbing.

Mr. Jenkinson is survived by his son, Donald A. Jenkinson and his wife, Nancy of Wayne, PA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace G. (nee Day) Jenkinson on July 4, 1998.

Jennings, Irene A.

IRENE A. JENNINGS (Nee Brokenshire), passed away on Monday, March 23, 2009 at the Sea Crest Village in Little Egg Harbor, NJ. She was 94. Born in Kingston, PA, she has resided in Little Egg Harbor since 2005 moving there from Marlton and Cherry Hill, NJ. A former Bank Teller for Heritage Bank in Camden, NJ, Irene is the wife of the late John L. Jennings and the daughter of the late Arthur & Laura Brokenshire. She is the Beloved Mother of James J. Jennings and his wife Darlene of Marlton, NJ and Mary Sue Lacovara and her husband Richard N. of Little Egg Harbor, NJ. She is also survived by her brother James Brokenshire, her Grandchildren Richard N. Lacovara Jr. and his wife Katrina, Mary Sue Flaherty and her husband Michael, Darlene Amato and her husband John and Charlene Villano and also 11 Great Grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Friday from 9:00 - 10:30 AM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Rd., Medford, N.J, (609-953-7600). A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Friday at 11:00 AM at the St. Joan of Arc Church in Marlton, NJ. Interment will be in the Locustwood Memorial Park in Cherry Hill, NJ. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family requests memorial donations to Alzheimers Assoc. for Research, 3 Eves Dr., Suite 310, Marlton, NJ 08053.

Jennings, Joseph D

Joseph D. Jennings, age 80 of Long Branch died Saturday September 20, at his daughter's home in Pennsylvania. He was a meat manager for A & P of Little Silver for 46 years before retiring in 1989. Born in Trenton, he was a life resident of Long Branch. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church, Long Branch. He was predeceased by his wife, Edith B. Jennings in 1976 and a sister Anna Gallaniri. Surviving is his son, J. David Jennings of West Chester, PA; a daughter, Wendy Ann Lessig of Huntingdon, PA; one brother, James Jennings, one sister, Marion Hampton both of Long Branch and six grandchildren, Steven, Elyese, Erica, Rachael, Amanda and Louis.

Relatives and friends may call at the Damiano Funeral Home, Third and Franklins aves, Long Branch on Friday September 26 at 9:30 am with a service to begin at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
