Leinmiller, Jr., Harry Charles

Harry Charles Leinmiller, Jr., 75, of Avalon, NJ, died on Wednesday, January 22, 2003, at the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House, NJ. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, and formerly lived in Delaware County, PA. He summered here since 1966 moving permanently in 1975. He was a member of the Maris Stella Church, the Knights of Columbus Council #9113 of Marmora, NJ, and the Stephen C. Ludlam Post #0331 of the American Legion of Stone Harbor, NJ. He was a retired ironworker and served in Marines in World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Mary A. nee McNamee; a sister: Sister Marita Catherine IHM of New Brunswick, NJ; daughter- in-law: Elaine E. of Avalon; sister-in-law and her husband: Joan and Charles Powers; nephews: Michael Powers and his wife, Virginia, and Stephen Powers and his wife, Jeannette; grand nieces and nephews: Elise, Alexander, Catherine and Patrick all of Cape May Court House, NJ. He was preceded in death be his son, Harry C. on January 7, 2002.

Funeral Liturgy will be said on Monday, January 27, 2003, at 11:00 AM at Maris Stella Church, 49th St. & Dune Dr., Avalon, NJ, where friends may call at 10:00 AM. Entombment will be at Holy Cross cemetery Masoleum, Mays Landing, NJ. Memorials may be made in his memory to Maris Stella Church, Avalon, NJ 08202.

Leith, Ethel Virginia

Ethel Virginia Leith, 81, of South Dennis, died on Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. She was born in Leesburg, VA to the late William Marshall and Susie (Glasscock) Legg and moved here in 1957. She attended the Wesley United Methodist Church in Petersburg. She was a physical therapist and cottage attendant at the Woodbine Developmental Center. She enjoyed raising children and cooking.

Mrs. Leith is survived by her children, Lorraine Bisket of Tennessee, Edward "Dick" Leith, Jr. of Dennisville, John Leith of Clermont, Roger Leith of South Dennis, and Nancy Conover of Dias Creek; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Animal Welfare Society of Cape May County, Inc., 40 Route 47, Dias Creek, NJ 08210.

LEITH, Laurence M.

On August 19, 2005 of Mt Laurel, NJ. Formerly of Libertyville, IL. Age 61. Beloved husband of Jane (nee Gilpin). Loving father of Dawn E. Leith of Timberlake, NC and Kristin M. Leith of Oxford, PA. Devoted grandfather of Malcolm Saunders and dear brother of Susan Leith Lancaster of Libertyville, IL. Mr. Leith managed four Somerton Springs Pro Shops prior to his retirement in 2001, and was formerly a regional sales manager for Hobart Corp. He was a member of the Fellowship Golf Association at Ramblewood Golf Club in Mt Laurel. Lemanski, Priscilla

Priscilla Lemanski of Avalon, NJ, died on Thursday, October 2, 2003, at the Eastern Shore Nursing and Convalescent Center, Cape May Court House, NJ. She was born in Bound Brook, NJ, and moved here in 1977 coming from Newark, NJ. She was a member of St. Paul's RC Church, Stone Harbor; the Avalon Seniors; Cape May County AARP, Avalon Bowling League; and a dedicated volunteer at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital where she was for over 19 years. She was a Navy Wave Veteran of World War II.

She is survived by here husband: George; sons: Gregory of Union, NJ and Jeffrey of Pocono, PA; sister: Genevive Sharkey of Bayonne, NJ; and one grandson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Monday, October 6, 2003, at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's RC Church, 9910 Third Av., Stone Harbor. There is no calling time. Interment private in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery, Cape May Court House, NJ.

Lenhart, David F.

LENHART, David F. on September 29, 2006 of Magnolia, formerly of Philadelphia. Age 65. Beloved husband of 42 years to Agnes C. Lenhart (nee Boyce). Loving father of David Lenhart Jr., Kathleen Schofield and her husband, Michael and Joseph P. Lenhart, all of Magnolia. Dear grandfather of Michael Schofield Jr. He is also survived by 3 brothers, George, James and Raymond and 1 sister, Dorothy. A veteran of the US ARMY, Mr. Lenhart was a truck driver for over 30 yrs. working most recently for Kasper Bros., Phila. He was a member of the Square Circle Sportsmen Club, Gibbsboro. Lennon, Livingston

Lennon, Livingston, 80, of Cape May Court House, a retired agent of the United States Internal Revenue Service, passed this life in Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House on Wednesday, July 28, 2004. He served as an instructor for the IRS from 1961 until 1966. He was a longtime resident of Cape May Court House, having lived here before entering the service in 1943 and after his retirement in 1989.

Mr. Lennon was born in North Carolina in 1924. He was a graduate of Benean Institute, Eckels College of Mortuary Science, and Temple University. He also was a student of Anthropology, having studied at the University of Paris.

He was a World War II Veteran and served in the European Theater of operations, earning five bronze stars. For many years, he was a member of the Selective Service System. Mr. Lennon was also an employee of the United States Graves Administration, having worked in Europe returning World War II dead to this country. He traveled extensively throughout twenty six countries in Europe and eight in Africa.

He is survived by a son, Livingston Lennon, Jr.; two stepsons, Michael and Mark Wright; many brothers; and one sister. Private burial will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery.

LeNoir, Roberta Johantgen

ROBERTA JOHANTGEN LE NOIR, of LONG BRANCH, died Saturday, May 1, surrounded by family and the wonderful nurses at St. Barnabas Hospice Care Center, Long Branch. She was a parishioner of Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., she was a life resident of the Shore area.

She was predeceased by her father, Robert J. Johantgen, in 1988. Surviving are her husband Donald J. LeNoir; two sons, Donald J. LeNoir of Jackson, and Richard LeNoir of Brick; her mother, Audrey Hutchison Johantgen of Long Branch; four brothers, Robert J. Johantgen of Florida; Harry L. Johantgen of St. Angelo, Texas, George W. Johantgen of Long Branch, and Bruce C. Johantgen of Long Branch; three sisters, Linda Marie George of Eatontown; Betty Sanders of Florida, and Mary C. Kuhlman of Long Branch; five grandchildren, Donald J. LeNoir, III, Meagan E. LeNoir, Samantha Scurato, Melanie LeNoir, Brittany Scurato, and so many more family members.

Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., corner of Third Avenue, Long Branch. Funeral Tuesday,8:15 am at the funeral home followed by a9:15 am Mass at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Long Branch. Entombment will be in Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport. Lentine, Eleanor

Eleanor Lentine (nee Randazo) of Williamstown, NJ died Sunday at Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Washington Twp. Age 82 years.

Mrs. Lentine was born and raised in Phila., PA and has been a resident of Williamstown for 44 years.

She was a member of St. Mary's Church and Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Mater Creatoris #1808 in Williamstown.

She was the wife of the late Charles P. Sr. Devoted mother of Richard and Marie Lentine Douglas. Loving grandmother of Charles Joseph, Gregory Andrew, Rodney and Jennifer. She is predeceased by her son, Charles. P. Jr and granddaughter Michelle.

Relatives and friends may call 7-9PM Wednesday and 10:30-11:30 AM Thursday at the Bell-Hennessy Funeral Home, 420 S. Main St. Williamstown. Lentz, Josephine M.

Josephine M. Lentz, age 94, of Cape May Court House, NJ, died on Friday, February 8, 2002, at the Court House Convalescent Center, Cape May Court House. She was born in Philadelphia and lived here for two years.

She was an assembler for the Stone Container Corporation of Philadelphia, PA.

She is survived by her son, Ronald L., of Cape May Court House; one grandson; five great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lenza, Stella D.

Stella D. Lenza, age 90 of Long Branch died Thursday August 12, 2004, at home. She was a retired factory worker for P. Lori Llards in Jersey City. Born in Jersey City, where she had lived before moving to Long Branch 29 years ago. She was a parishioner of Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. She was predeceased by her husband, John J. Lenza in 1996 and a daughter, Rosalie Engels in 1966. Surviving her is a grandson, Robert Engels and a nephew, Raymond Mikulka of Hamberg. Leon, Anastasia

Anastasia Leon (nee Fedec)of Leisuretown, Southampton, NJ departed this life on August 14, 2003. Formerly of Cherry Hill, NJ and Naples, FL. Beloved wife of Alexander Leon, Sr. for almost sixty years. Devoted mother to Alexander Leon, Jr., Patricia Leon Pregmon, Susan Leon O'Connor and Barbara Leon Anderson. She will also be remembered with love and respect by her nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A 1967 graduate of Glassboro State College (now Rowan University), Stacey Leon taught at Clara Barton School in the Cherry Hill School District for twenty years before her retirement in 1989. With her husband, Alex, she was a founder of the Orthodox Church of the Holy Cross in Medford, NJ and devoted her time and talent to the Orthodox Church throughout her life. She was an avid reader and found great joy in teaching her second graders to read. Stacey Leon has passed to her children and their children her devotion to her religion and her interests in literature, music and flowers. Her husband and children invite family and friends to join them in honoring her memory at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, August 18th at the Bradley & Stow Funeral Home, 127 Medford - Mt. Leonard, Jared M.

JARED MICHAEL LEONARD, of Shamong, NJ, went home to be with the Lord suddenly on May 29th, 2006 at the age of 24. Born in Mt. Holly, NJ, he is a SPC in the US Army Airborne 173rd Infantry Division, stationed in Vicenza, Italy after serving a tour in Afghanistan. A graduate of Shawnee H.S., Class of 1999, Jared attended Phila. Biblical University and was a member of the Fellowship Alliance Chapel in Medford. Jared is the beloved son of Robert & Pamela Leonard of Shamong and the loving brother of Robin Martin and her husband Toby of Medford, NJ. He is also survived by his grandparents Robert Sr. & Gloria Leonard of Mt. Laurel, NJ and Helen Yose of Hainesport, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited his viewing on Monday from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the Fellowship Alliance Chapel, 199 Church Rd. Leonard, Thomas J.

Leonard, Thomas J., 70, of South Dennis, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2008. Born in Queens, NY to John and Margaret Leonard, he moved here in 1971. He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War then worked as Director for the Cape May County Library. He was a volunteer with The Nature Conservancy and a former member of the Dennis Township School Board. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Stuart Leonard.

Mr. Leonard is survived by children, Ellen Brunner of Mount Laurel, Thomas Leonard of South Portland, ME, Timothy Leonard of Delaware Township, and Richard Leonard of Boston, MA; his brother John Leonard of Nanuet, NY; and his grandchildren, Joseph, Alice, Riley, Tim, Dale, 'Maine' Joe, and Rosalie.

Funeral Mass will be said on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 11:30am at St. Elizabeth's Church, Rt. 47, Goshen, where visitation will begin at 10:30am. Leonard, Mary Stuart

Mary Stuart Leonard, 69, of South Dennis, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital in Yeadon, PA. Born in Hamilton, NY to the late Edwin and the late Josephine (Holt) Stuart, she moved here in 1971 from Queens, NY. She was a member of St. Casimir's R.C. Church in Woodbine. She was a former elementary school teacher in New York. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, and cooking.

Mrs. Leonard is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Leonard; her children, Ellen Brunner of Mt. Laurel, Thomas Leonard of South Portland, ME, Timothy Leonard of Delaware Township, and Richard Leonard of Boston, MA; her sisters, Anne and Sue; her brothers, Ed and Will; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Caroline.

Funeral Mass will be said on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth's Church, Route 47, Goshen, where visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Cold Spring. Lesko, Suzanne P.

LESKO, Suzanne P. (nee Cadmus) On February 17, 2010. Of Marlton, NJ. Age 62. Beloved wife of 40 years to John Lesko. Devoted mother of Robyn and Matthew Lesko. Dear sister of Neil Cadmus and Sandra Wilcox. Susan will also be missed by her loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Suzanne worked as a teachers aid for both the Evesham and Mt. Laurel School Districts working with autistic children. She was an active member and past president of the Burlington County PTA, involved with the Art Goes to School Program and was an Associate Member of the Vietnam Veterans of America. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Sunday Feb. 21st from 2-4 and 7-9 and Monday Feb. 22nd from 9-10 AM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt.73 and Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ. Lester, Margaret

Margaret Lester, 94, of Wildwood, departed from this life on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at Crest Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center from a massive stroke.

Margaret Lester was born on January 22, 1913 to the proud parents Annie and David Lawrence in Jacksonville, FL. She had three older siblings who all preceded her in death, William (Bill), Fredrick (Freddie) and David.

Margaret came from a large family. Her mother, Annie (Williams) Lawrence had eight sisters and brothers. They were a very close family. Margaret was four years old when her parents moved to New York City. Later they moved to Philadelphia where Margaret attended the Philadelphia Public School System. When Margaret was 13 years old, the family moved to Wildwood, NJ. Margaret attended school in Wildwood on the very grounds where she last resided in Parkside Court.

Margaret had a good Christian upbringing. At an early age, the family attended the Church of the Living God and Pillar of the Truth. In 1936, she married Charles Lester and late separated. She had one child, a daughter, Willamae, who is her pride and joy.

Margaret was a hard-working woman who took great pleasure in her independence. In her earlier years, she worked for Lincoln Laundry in Wildwood for over 15 years. In 1972, she purchased a motel, "Behind the Moon Courts". She then worked for Woodbine Developmental Center for 10 years and retired at the age of 69. After retirement, she worked in the summer months for a motel on the boardwalk, where she pressed linens for five years. Margaret operated her motel for almost 30 years. She sold it and moved back to Parkside Court.

Margaret lived alone in Parkside Court and enjoyed whipping up a meal when her family and friends visited her. Playing bingo was one of her favorite past times and she also liked the casinos. She led a full and independent life until being hospitalized a year ago and upon discharge was transferred to Crest Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She leaves to cherish precious memories: her devoted daughter, Willamae Holloway; three grandchildren, Melody Matthews and husband, Larry, Sr., Clinton Holloway and wife, Marion, and Lawrence M. Holloway; four great grands, Larry Matthews, Jr. and wife, Nichole, Anthony Matthews and wife, Leah, Nicole Matthews, and Rebecca Holloway; five great-great grands, Larry Matthews, III, Kyle Matthews, Jayden Matthews, Giana Matthews, and Maurice Matthews; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 10, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Seaside cemetery, Palermo.

Letocha, Juanita

Letocha on December 9, 2003, Juanita (nee Garrison) of Marlton, formerly of Oaklyn willingly went home to be with her Lord and Savior. Age 93. Wife of the late Elmer Letocha and the late Clarence Newcomb. Survived by three children Lewis (Agnes) Newcomb of Mickleton, NJ, Sheldon (Marie) Newcomb of Audubon, NJ, Larry (Susan) Newcomb of Fishkill, NY. Also 19 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Also mother of the late Joyce Reiser. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Friday 10-11am in the sanctuary of the Wiley Church, Main Street Marlton where there will be a funeral service at 11am.
