Letts, Doris Lydia Paynter

Doris Lydia Paynter Letts, age 78 years, of Rio Grande, NJ, died on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at the Crest Haven Nursing Home, Cape May Court House, NJ.

Doris was born in Scotch Bonnet, Middle Township, NJ on July 5, 1929 and was a life long resident of Cape May County. She was a graduate of Middle Township High School class of 1947, a member of North Wildwood Methodist Church where she served as organist for many years, and was a bookkeeper at Little Danny's Steaks & Shakes, Green Creek, NJ. Doris devoted her life to her husband and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph W. Paynter & Mary Anna Morgan Paynter and her sister Maryann E. Paynter. She is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years, Edward D. Letts; her two sons: Edward J. and his wife, Celine, Letts of Rio Grande, NJ, and Joseph W. and his wife, Michelle, Letts of Fairhaven, MA; her daughter: Linda M. Pope of Rio Grande, NJ; one brother: Joseph W. (Elma) Paynter; six grandchildren: Amy L. Letts, Becky L. Letts, Joseph D. Letts, Edward A. his wife, Alicia, Letts, Chad LaBelle, and Scott LaBelle; six great grandchildren; eight nephews; and six nieces.

Graveside Funeral Services at Cold Spring Presbyterian cemetery are private. Memorial donations may be made to The Lighthouse Church, 1262 Route 9 North, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.

Levandowski, Georgette H.

LEVANDOWSKI, GEORGETTE H. (Hanarty) on January 18, 2007 of Eastampton formerly of Rancocas Woods. Age 57. Beloved wife of John T. Devoted mother of Elena Keyworth (Kelly), Jon-Michael T. & Kevin-Alan J. Levandowski. Loving grandmother of Jessica, Megan & Morgan. Dear sister of David Hanarty and R. Lee Page. On February 8, 2003, of Marlton, NJ, formerly of Pennsauken, NJ; age 80 years.

Beloved wife of Nicholas; Devoted mother of Tom Levecchia and his wife, Pat and Bob Levecchia and his wife, Reene; Loving grandmother of Pam, Tommy, Chrissi, Bobby and Danny; Dear sister of Carmen Falco.

Prior to retirement, Mrs. Levecchia was employed at RCA in Camden, NJ for 15 years.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, 10:00 AM at the Church of St. Cecilia, 48th and Camden Avenue, Pennsauken, NJ, where there will be a viewing from 9:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Calvary Mausoleum, Cherry Hill, NJ.

Levic, W. Bryan

W. BRYAN LEVIC, 32, of OCEANPORT, died Sunday, June 8, at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. He was a construction worker. He graduated from Shore Regional High School, West Long Branch. He was a parishioner of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, West End, Long Branch, and was a member of Long Branch Elks 742. Born in Monmouth Beach, he was a life resident of the area.

Surviving are his parents, Wayne C. and Terry Cyzewski Levic of Oceanport; and two brothers, James of Florida, and Peter of New Hampshire.

Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Damiano Funeral Home, Third and Franklin avenues, Long Branch. The funeral will be 9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Michael's Church, West End. Interment will be in Glenwood cemetery, West Long Branch.

Levins, Anna

Levins, on February 28, 2003, Anna (nee Komar) of Cherry Hill, NJ, formerly of Philadelphia. Age 88. Beloved wife of the late Henry. Loving mother of John and his wife Marilyn (nee Raschilla) of Marlton, and Barbara and her husband John McGovern of Cinnaminson. She is survived by 8 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. LEVRAULT, Roland G., Sr.

On March 5, 2003, of Glassboro; age 89 years.

Beloved wife of the late, Johanna C. (nee Meyer); Devoted Mother of Roland G. Jr., Thomas E., Betty Jean Leeds, Joanne Blomquist and foster daughter, Kemwyn Garrett; Dear Brother of Estelle Levrault, Yvonne Kirkman, Romeo and Jules Levrault; Loving grandfather of 9 and one late grandchild.

Prior to retiring in 1969, Mr. Levrault was employed at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard for 15 years and was also a Navy Veteran of World War II serving from 1932-1953.

Levy, Norma T.

NORMA LEVY (Nee Mears), passed away on Wednesday, September 8th, 2004 at the Virtua West Jersey Hospital in Berlin, NJ. She was 80 yrs. of age. Born in Phila., PA, she resided in the Fountains in Atco, NJ for the past 10 months, moving there from Leisuretowne, Southampton, NJ. The daughter of the late John & Eva (Tait) Mears, she is the wife of the late Nathan Levy. She is the beloved mother of Alan Levy of Tabernacle, NJ and Alice Gotto of Upper Darby, PA. She is also survived by her brother William Spencer of Fl., her sister Eva Seixas of Aldan, PA, 6 Grandchildren Jennifer Harrison, Jacqueline Ford, Joseph Gotto Jr., Amanda Levy, Alan N. Levy and Luke A. Levy and her 2 Great Grandchildren Alicia Gotto and James Ford. JAMES C. LEWIS, of Southampton, NJ, passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 10, 2009. He was 47 yrs. of age. Born in Trenton, NJ, he has resided in Southampton for the past 7 years moving there from Mt. Holly, NJ. He is the Beloved Husband of Eileen M. Lewis (Nee Kern) and the Loving Father of Justine Marie Lewis both of Southampton, NJ. Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Lewis, Elizabeth W.

Elizabeth "Betty" W. Lewis, 87, of Ocean View, NJ, died on Monday, May 28, 2007, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Camden, NJ. She was born in the Logan section of Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late Charles and Eva Brown Walz.

Betty retired in 1986 from the FAA Technical Center as an executive secretary. During her government career, she also worked for the Air Force Station at Palermo, NJ; the Social Security Administration in Wildwood, NJ; the Securities and Exchange Commission in Philadelphia, PA, and The Quarter Master School in Camp Lee, VA. She was a member of the Seaville Methodist Church and a longtime resident of Sea Isle City, NJ. She also maintained a residence at the Cardinal Village Retirement Community in Sewell, NJ. Betty enjoyed reading, attending Church and being among family and friends.

She is survived by six children: Joseph Grill of Ester, AK; James Grill; John Lewis of Centennial, CO; Elizabeth (Betsy) Stiles of Rio Grande, NJ; Kathryn Walters and her husband, Bill of Ocean View, NJ; Ellen Ford of Las Vegas, NV; her daughter in law, Elaine Lewis of Staten Island, NY and Ocean View, NJ; five grandsons: John Joseph Lewis of Centennial, CO; David and Jake Stiles of Puerto Rico; Billy Walters of Ocean View, NJ; Matthew Grill of Ester, AK; and two granddaughters: Katie Walters of Ocean View, NJ and Michelle Grill of Ester, AK. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph F. Lewis, in March, 2006.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, June 2, 2007, at 1 p.m. at the Seaville Methodist Church, 3100 Shore Road, Seaville, NJ, where friends may visit at 12 Noon. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery. Memorials in her name may be made to the Seaville Methodist Church, 3100 Shore Road, Seaville, NJ 08230.

Lewis, Russell Alan

Russell Alan Lewis, age 59 of Shelbyville, Kentucky formerly of Long Branch, died Monday, May 30, 2005 at home. He was a quality engineer for Vacuum Depositing, Louisville, Ky. He was a graduate of Long Branch High School, received his bachelor of science in math and science education from North Carolina State University and then taught high school for 3 years in Raleigh. Russ enjoyed listening to Jazz music and was an avid amateur photographer. He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Long Branch. Born in Selma, Alabama, he had lived in Kentucky since 2004. He is predeceased by his father Wilbur H. Lewis, Jr. in 1990.

Surviving is his mother, Eleanor Bates Lewis, Long Branch; 2 brothers, Paul Lewis, Matawan; Stanley Lewis, Houston, Texas; a sister, Marti Lewis, New York City; a niece, Nancy Lewis and 2 nephews, Hunter and John Lewis.

Visitation will be at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave, on the corner of Third, Long Branch, on Sunday, June 5, from 2-4 pm. Funeral, Monday, at 9:30 am from the funeral home with a service to begin at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Glenwood cemetery, West Long Branch, NJ.

Lewis, Georgeann A.

Georgeann A. (nee Kelleher) Lewis, 60, of South Seaville, went home to be with the Lord on September 15, 2003 after a short illness. Born in Chester, PA to the late William and Elizabeth Kelleher on November 2, 1942, she was a lifelong resident of this area. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Cape May Court House. She was a longtime employee of Sea Isle Realty, Inc. as a broker/salesperson and member of the National Association of Realtors.

She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Robert Kelleher. She is survived by the love of her life, her wonderful husband, Robert; two daughters, Doreen and Cynthia and one son, John (Adele) Press; eight sisters, Connie (Nick) Turchi of Goshen, Shirley (Anthony) Saduk of Belleplain, Diann (James) Sofroney of Sea Isle City, Bettylou Allen of Hohenwald, TN, Lynda Schaller of Pensacola, FL, Mary Jean (Carl) Onofrietti of North Cape May, Laura (Jerry) LeFebvre of Stuart, FL, Gerry (David) Sedlak of North Cape May; two brothers, William Kelleher of Sea Isle City, and Ronald (Colleen) Kelleher of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; two sisters in law, Judith Kelleher of Avalon, and Nancy (Robert) Brockman of Cincinnati, OH; five stepdaughters, Anne Naticchione of Sea Isle City, Patricia (Gregory) Johns of North Wales, PA, Michelle (Phillip) King of London, England, Charlene (David) Estronell of Lincoln University, PA and Shirley McDonnell of Amarillo, TX; and daughter in law, Roseann Riccioni of Delmont. She was the proud and loving grandmother of Amanda and Steven Press, Nicollette Naticchione, Christina, Natalie, Stephanie and Brittany Johns, Lena King, Andrew, Jake, Alexander and Maggie Estronell. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 22, 2003 at 12 noon at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Fairview cemetery, Cape May Court House. Lewis Jr., Ben S.

BEN S. LEWIS JR. of Souderton, PA died suddenly on Friday, January 18, 2002 in Towamencin Twp, PA. He was 29 years of age. Born in Middletown, CT, he has resided in Souderton, PA for the past two years moving there from Germany. He grew up in Jacksonville, FL where he attended Stanton College Prep in Jacksonville, FL and graduated with honors in 1989. He went on to graduate from The American University in Washington, DC in 1993 with a degree in International Relations & Economics. He also received an advanced degree from the University of Heidelberg in Heidelberg, Germany through a Rotary International Foundation Scholarship and was an Adjunct Faculty member at Delaware Valley College. He was the Director of Decision Support for Advanta Business Cards in Spring House, PA where he has worked since Dec. 1999. He is the beloved husband of Stephanie J. (Nee Wheeler) Lewis of Souderton, PA and the loving father of Christian S. and Kaitlynn J. Lewis both at home. He is also survived by his father Ben S. Lewis Sr. and his wife Pat of Virginia Beach, VA, his mother Gloria Fortin and her husband Ron of Yulee, FL, his Paternal Grandmother Mrs. George W. Lewis of Metairie, LA, his sister Dawn C. Van Horn and her husband Kevin of Jacksonville, FL and their two children Bryan and Kristina and his in-laws Bill & Joan Wheeler of Indian Mills, NJ. Ley, Theodore M.

LEY, THEODORE M., on February 4, 2007 of Cherry Hill for 45 years. Age 55. Beloved husband of Mary Kay (nee Burke). Devoted father of Morgan and Austin. Loving son of Theodore C. Ley (Joan) and the late Nancy (nee Flagle). Dear brother of Marc Ley, Eric Ley (Linda), Ken Ley (Rebecca) and Kurt Ley (Debbie). Son in law of Tom & Mary Jo Burke. Also survived by his aunt Phyllis Wiggenhorn, Rick & Darlene Ley and many loving nieces & nephews. Born in Euclid, Ohio and raised in Cherry Hill. Ted is a 1969 graduate of Cherry Hill High School West. He later graduated from Richard Stockton State College in 1973 with a degree in environmental science. Prior to his illness, he worked as an inspector for Lord, Worrell & Richter in Burlington for 15 years. He also worked in the engineering Dept. at the Twp of Cherry Hill. Ted was very athletic throughout his entire life. He played volleyball at the Echelon YMCA and later refereed volleyball for the Voorhees CER in addition to Laurel Springs LAVA. He played softball in the Bell-Suburban League for B&M Motors. He also competed in the over-39 hardball league for the Tabernacle Yankees and Cherry Hill Tigers. Ted's passion for sports was passed on to his Children, Morgan and Austin. His strong sense of baseball could be found through his coaching skills in the Cherry Hill Atlantic Little League and the Cherry Hill Babe Ruth League. He was a devoted fan of Cherry Hill East Baseball and the Cherry Hill American Legion Post 372. Additionally, Ted was very supportive of Cherry Hill East Swimming. Some of his proudest moments were seeing his daughter compete and excel on state and national levels. She was later recruited to swim for a Division-1 University. Ted was also an avid collector of vinyl records from the 60's progressive rock era. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Wednesday from 6-9 PM at the Bradley Funeral Home Rt. 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton and Thursday from 10-11 AM at the Church of St. Pius X, Kresson Rd, Cherry Hill. Libby, Ervin C.

Ervin C. Libby, 83, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at his home. Born in Portland, ME to the late Elmer and Maude (Sherwood) Libby, he moved here 43 years ago. He enjoyed his coffee enough to go to the Captain's Cove at 4:30 in the morning to make the coffee. He liked going camping locally. He enjoyed visiting his daughter and grandchildren in Virginia. An Army Veteran of World War II, he worked as a commercial fisherman.

Mr. Libby is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Marion "Libby" (nee Sheldon) Libby; his children, Sandra Bessig of VA, Karla Libby, Mike Libby, Clayton Libby, all of Maine, Kathy Libby, and Cathy Cashmere, both of Cape May Court House; his ten grandchildren; his nine grandchildren; and his three godchildren, Stacy, Tara, and Jason.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House. Interment will be private. LIBBY, on January 16, 2002, Eric G. of Evesham Twp., NJ. Age 59. Formerly of Rhode Island. Beloved husband of Ronnie (nee Jones). Father of Brian, of Noblesville, IN and Mark, of Groton, MA. Son of Gwendolyn Libby. Brother of Peter, of Washington and Susan Gockley of East Earl, PA. Also survived by his grandchildren: Alan and Andrew. Lichtenau, Henrietta "Dolly"

HENRIETTA "DOLLY" LICHTENAU, of WALL, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Waterford Glen Heath Care Center, Wall. She was a bookkeeper for 30 years working for Sears in Hackensack for 12 years before retiring. She was a volunteer at Deborah Hospital and a member of the Oceanport Seniors. She was a parishioner of St. Dorothea's Roman Catholic Church, Eatontown. Born in Union Hill, she had lived in Oceanport for 15 years before moving to Wall a year a half ago.

She was predeceased by her husband, William L. Lichtenau, in 1994. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, William R. and Christine Lichtenau of Eatontown; and two grandchildren, Tiana and Anthony.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., (corner of Third Avenue), Long Branch. The funeral will be 9 a.m. Friday from the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Dorothea's Church, Eatontown. Entombment will follow at Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport. In lieu of flowers, it is at the family's request that donations be made to The American Heart Association, 2550 Route 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902.

Lienau, Leon

Lienau, Leon. On April 9, 2007 of Voorhees, NJ. Age 66. Loving husband of Beatrix (nee Gruenewald). Devoted father of Alan Lienau and Laura Hubert. Dear step-father of Cheryl Long, Pam Rozzelle, and Debbie Crismond. Caring grandfather of seven and great grandfather of one. He will also be missed by Shelby Lee his loving pug. Lee worked for the Township of Voorhees for many years and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Friday from 1-2 PM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt. 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ. A memorial service will be held at the Bradley Funeral Home on Friday at 2 PM. Interment will be private.

Lightcap, Lillie Mae

LILLIE M. LIGHTCAP (nee Spade), 84, formerly of Berlin NJ, went home to be with the Lord on May 27, 2003. Lillie was the wife of the late Arthur Lightcap. Mother of Patricia and Arthur (Linda). Grandmother of Frederick, David (Rose), Brian. Jennifer (John), and Robert. Great Grandmother of Lauran and Samantha. Her last request was for a private funeral and that everyone would say a prayer "to help me on my way". 'Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I shall fear no evil for thou art with me. Amen.'

Lighty, Harris B.

Harris B. Lighty, 62, of Cape May Court House, NJ, died on Wednesday, December 11, 2002, in the Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. He was a salesman for Tasty Baking Company in Philadelphia for 31 years when he retired in 1997. He has lived here for the past 39 years coming from Philadelphia. He was a member of the Cape May Bird Observatory. He was an avid gardener, fisherman, and photographer.

He is survived by his wife: Maryann C.; daughters: Kathleen Makowski and husband, Mark, of Rio Grande, NJ, Anne Marie Hendee and husband, Ralph, of Cape May Court House, and Barbara Kennedy and husband, Patrick, of Cape May Court House; brother: Bruce D. of Clinton, CT; sister: Doris Hassinger of Block Island, RI; and six grandchildren: Nicholas and Matthew Makowski, Rachel and Andrew Hendee, and Kayla and Kyle Kennedy.

Lillemon, Wayne Carmen

Wayne C. Lillemon, age 93, of Rio Grande, NJ, died on Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at the Cape Regional Medical Center. He was born in Wellsburg, ND, the son of the late Willie J. and Cora Anderson Lillemon, where he was raised and attended rural schools. He was a resident of Rio Grande for fifty two years.

He was the former owner of the Cape May County Gas Company. He enjoyed working with his hands, and after retirement he became a cabinetmaker. He enjoyed being with his great grandchildren, and watching the Lawrence Welk Show and The Price Is Right. He was a former member of the Villas Fishing Club and the Loyal Order of the Moose.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, the former Mildred Twisty; a daughter, Diane (Jack) Young; a son, Dennis (Deanna); a brother, Jone of Oregon; his grandchildren: Randy (Maureen) Young, Krista (Rich) Cornell, Dennis, Jr. and Derek Lillemon; four great grandchildren: Tyler, Ryan, Gavin and Sean; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers: Ernest, Marvin, Gordon and Charles, and two sisters: Garnet Hendrickson and Arlene Weber.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ, where friends may visit from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment is private. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
