Nelson, Douglas D.

Douglas D. Nelson age 72 of Ocean died March 17, 2005 the Specialty Hospital at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was a printer for Scott Type Setting, Newark for 18 years retiring in 1972 and then went on to sell realty for Brokers Realtors. He served his county honorable during the Korean Conflict in the US Army and a member of the VFW in Oakhurst. Born in Orange, he had lived in Verona before coming to Ocean 30 years ago. He was predeceased by his mother, Florence Wood Nelson.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marion D'Addario Nelson; 2 daughters, Karen Bauer, Howell; Christina De Respiris, Ocean; his father Arthur Nelson, Burlington; a brother, Robert Nelson, Florida; a sisters, Patricia Pacio, Berkley Heights; 3 grandchildren, Nicholas, Kendall, and Danielle.

Visitation at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave on the corner of Third Ave, Long Branch on Sunday March 20, from 2-4, 7-9 pm. Funeral Tuesday March 22, at 9:30 am from the funeral home with the funeral procession leaving at 10 am for a 11 am committal service at Brig. Wm C. Doyle Veterans Memorial cemetery, Wrightstown. Nelson, Marjorie

NELSON, MARJORIE (nee Dieffenbach) on October 6, 2009, of Voorhees, NJ. Age 77. Marjorie was born in Lopez, PA on March 14, 1932. Daughter of the late Worth & Lydia Bowman Dieffenbach. She graduated from Dushore High School in 1950. She continued her education at Keystone Junior College. Marjorie was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. She was a former president of The Voorhees Woman's Club and a member of Ashland Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Loving mother of David Nelson, Barbara Neville (Bill), Linda Fountain (Ryan), and Elaine Nelson. Also survived by her sisters, Marie Contini, Regina Fedor and Annie Larson (Ernie), four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Leo Dieffenbach. Neri Jones, Marion A.

Marion A. Neri Jones (nee Persechino) of Cherry Hill, NJ, died on Friday May 24, 2002 at JFK Cherry Hill Hospital in Cherry Hill, NJ. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Mrs Jones was a resident of Cherry Hill, NJ since 1970 and prior to that lived in Haddonfield. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Peter's Church in Merchantville, NJ. Mrs Jones was a very family oriented individual and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was wife of the late, James L. Neri. She is survived by three daughters, Norma and her husband, Robert Richards of Mt. Laurel; Dolores and her husband, Salvatore Tocco of Merchantville and Lana and her husband, Carl DiTore of Cherry Hill; a son James Neri and his wife Doris of Hainesports; five sisters, Rose Marconi, Betty Pizutto, Jean Bailey, Rita Rizio and Ann Carcione; a brother, Fred Persechino; nine grandchildren, James, Peter, Linda, Karen, Denise, James, Carmen, Carl and Michelle; 15 great grandchildren. She is predeaceased by three sisters, Jennie Howlett, Mary Angelastro and Josephine Persechino. Neuber-Morehouse, Bernice C.

MOREHOUSE-NEUBER, on September 18, 2003, Bernice C. (nee Cloud) of Naples FL and Elkton VA, formerly of Southampton and Marlton. Age 92. Beloved wife of the late William Neuber and the late John Morehouse. Loving mother of 2 daughters, Linda and her husband, Frank Adams of Elkton VA and the late Margery and her husband, Stewart Shuster. She is also survived by 3 beloved grandchildren, Frank W. Adams, Phyllis Adams & Scott Shuster and 5 beloved great grandchildren, Stewart, Alyssa, Trevor, Tyler & Peyton. Bernice was the former owner of Ellie McCadden Bridal Shop in Haddonfield. She was a former member of the Medford United Methodist Church where she was active in the choir and a member of Elkton United Methodist Church. Neubert, Carl W.

Carl W. Neubert passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2002 at the Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly, NJ. He was 54 yrs. of age. Born in Maple Shade, NJ, he resided in Shamong, NJ for the past 18 yrs. moving here from Medford, NJ. Founder and owner of Neubert’s Tire and Auto in Tabernacle, NJ he started the business 20 years ago. He is the beloved husband of Audrey J. (Nee Hilo) Neubert and loving son of Helen (Nee McLaughlin) Neubert of Shamong, NJ. He is also surived by his children Lisa M. McGinnis of Atco, NJ, Max J. Neubert and Carl W. Neubert Jr. both of Shamong, NJ, his sister Joanne Lufkin of Fairless Hills, PA and his Grandson Daniel J. McGinnis. Neumerski, Michael J.

NEUMERSKI, on October 10, 2004, MICHAEL J., Sr. of Marlton, NJ. Formerly of Philadelphia, PA. Age 84. Husband of the late Florence M. Loving father of Michael J., Jr. and his wife Sally, James, and Edie Pavonarius and her husband Rich. Also survived by his grandchildren, Michael Sinno and wife Dana, Christine Neumerski and husband Jeremy Hekhuis, Kevin M. Neumerski, and Lauren Hoos; great-granddaughter, Mia Nicole Sinno. Mr. Neumerski was a veteran of the U.S. ARMY AIR-CORPS, and served his country during WWII. Neuner, Wallace H.

Wallace H. Wally "Bou" Neuner, of Long Branch, died Wednesday October 13, 2004 at St. Barnabas Hospice Center, Long Branch. He was retired paint contractor and a jack of all trades. He was a Private during WWII and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed hiking, biking and swimming. He was a gifted singer, played the musical harmonica and was a ventriloquist. Born in Louisville, KY, he had lived in N.J. for 30 years. He will be dearly missed. He was predeceased by his parents, Wallace and Edna Neuner; a brother, Alvin Neuner; and a sister Virginia Wornman.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 14 years, and 40 year pianist, Joy Givas Neuner, who nursed and was caregiver to her husband; and her beloved parents, T.D. and Paulina Givas, before their deaths; a son and daughter in law, Steven (a Vietnam disabled vet and VFW member) and Shirley Neuner of Louisville, KY; a daughter and son in law, Jane and Timothy Alexander of New Albany, IN; 2 sisters and a brother in law, Ruth Meredith of Litchfield, KY; Edna and William Haycraft, Louisville, KY; 2 grandchildren, Michael and Timothy Alexander; a brother in law and sister in law, Samuel T.D. and Judy Givas of Warwick, NY; a sister in law and brother in law, Betty and Paul Kyllonen of Savannah, GA; and 13 nieces and nephews.

Neuterman, Margaret E.

Neuterman, Margaret E., "Cookie Lady", 79, of Cape May Court House, died on Saturday, November 2, 2002 at her home. She was born in Iowa and moved here in 1982 from Mount Holly, NJ. She enjoyed cooking. She worked at the Don Company in Moorestown and Stella's Restaurant in Dias Creek. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Neuterman is survived by her daughter, Theresa Chew Furey and her husband, Pat of Cape May Court House; her son Mikel Mitchell of Cape May Court House; her brother, Clayton Hill of Iowa; her grandchildren, Carrie Chew and Ken Starnes of Villas, Michael DeRosa and his wife, Heather of Belleplain, Robert Chew, Jr. and Missy Castner of Villas, Patrick Furey, Jr., Thomas Furey, and George Furey, all of Cape May Court House; and her great grandchildren, Geoffrey, Dominique, Amber, Destiny, and Little Bobby. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Lewis Neuterman on July 7, 1991.

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where friends may call after 6:00 p.m. Interment is private. Neville, Alberta M

Neville on July 6. 2006 Alberta M. nee Grayewski of Tabernacle age 64 survived by her beloved husband Wayne and her loving children Kerry and Wayne Jr.. Devoted grandmother to Alyssa and loving sister of Patricia Laudeman. Loving aunt of William Laudeman Jr. and Susan Koziel. Alberta loved animals and helped in recovering and rehabilitate injured animals. She was a volunteer at the Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge in Medford and the Pinelands Preservation Alliance. Nevin, Richard I.

Richard I. Nevin, Jr., 62, of Avalon, NJ, died on Monday, January 5, 2004, at his home. Born in Teaneck, NJ, he has lived here for the last 6 years coming from Key Biscayne, FL and Bethlehem, PA. He was a 1963 graduate of Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and worked as an executive for various health care companies throughout his 33-year business career. He was recently associated as a Business Administrator and served as a Trustee and Eucharistic Minister. He was also a Fourth Degree Knight with the Sea Isle Knights of Columbus, a member and First Vice President of the Avalon Lions Club, on the Avalon Planning and Zoning Board, and a Trustee in AHLOA-Avalon Home and Land Owners Association.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Maureen Ryan Nevin. He is also survived by his children: Richard I. Nevin, III (Cathy) of Pleasant Prairie, WI, Elizabeth Meckley (Mark) of Avalon, NJ, Peter Ryan Nevin (Kristi) of Lake Bluff, IL, and Michelle Burns (William) of Stone Harbor, NJ; three sisters; one brother; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral Liturgy will be said at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 10, 2004, at Maris Stella Church, 50th and Dune Dr., Avalon, NJ, where relatives and friends may call from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM. Nevros, John A.

Nevros, John A., 92, of Silver Spring, MD, formerly of Wildwood, died on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at Montgomery General Hospital in Olney, MD. He was born in Pennsylvania to the late Andrew and Helen (Dalakos) Nevros. He was a graduate of Wildwood High School. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and worked as an attorney for the IRS.

He is survived by his brother, Gus Nevros of Strongsville, OH and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2005 at 12:00 p.m. at the Baptist cemetery, Cape May Court House.

Newbert, Brian J.

NEWBERT, BRIAN J., Sr. on May 12, 2008, of Marlton, NJ. Age 47. Son of Winifred and Jack McKale and Frank and Priscilla Newbert. Loving father of Lauren and Brian Newbert. Former husband of Claire Newbert. Brother of Steven and Thomas Newbert, and Maureen Kauffman. Also survived by his step-brothers and step-sister, Michael McKale, Christopher Newbert, and Priscilla Grill. Brian was a graduate of Council Rock High School in Newtown, PA. He was in the Carpenter's Union for 16 years. Brian, though a quadrapalegic, was the owner of "Let's Travel", a transportation company for people with similar disabilities. Newbold, K. Barbara

K. BARBARA NEWBOLD of Medford, NJ passed away on Friday, June 9th, 2006 at the Samaritan Hospice Inpatient Ctr. in Mt. Holly, NJ. She was 60 yrs. of age. Born in Patterson, NJ, she is the daughter of the late Anthony & Katherine Newbold and resided most of her life in Medford, NJ. A Special Ed. Teacher for 28 yrs, she retired in 2005 from the Winslow Twp. School District and had also served in many other districts in the S.J. area. A Masters Degree Graduate of Glassboro State College, she was an active member of the Medford United Methodist Church where she was on the Women's Comm. and in the Bell Choir. She was also a member of the "Hope-A-Float" Breast Cancer Dragon boat team and was a former Coordinator for the Newspaper's in Education with the Courier Post. She is the loving Mother of Jodi Zawierucha and her husband Robert of Medford, NJ and the late Rebekah Newbold Jolley. She is also survived by her Cherished Granddaughter Emma Zawierucha, her brother and sister-in-law Henry & Terri Newbold of Long Valley, NJ, her nephew Philip Newbold and many cousins. Newcomb, Dorothy M.

NEWCOMB, Dorothy M. (nee Hewitt) on December 23, 2007, of Marlton, formerly of Williamstown and the Fairview section of Camden. Age 84. Beloved wife of the late Clarence L. Newcomb Sr. Loving mother of David Benson of Deptford, Barbara Norton of Marlton, Lewann Lafferty of Waterford Works and the late Ronald Newcomb. Mrs. Newcomb was a former member St. John's Lutheran Church, Williamstown and attended Marlton Assembly of God Church, Marlton. She was also active with 'Friends Needing Friends' of GCCC, Washington Twp. and 'Keenagers' of Open Bible Baptist Church, Williamstown. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday Jan. 5 from 10-11am at the Marlton Assembly of God Church Main St. Marlton where a Memorial Service will be held at 11am. Newlin, James L.

James L. Newlin, 37, of Dias Creek, NJ, died on Sunday, May 6, 2007, at home surrounded by his family and friends after a long courageous battle with complications of colon cancer.

He was born in Cape May Court House, NJ on June 20, 1969, the son of Dora Shipe Newlin and the late John L. Newlin, Sr. Jim was a painter being employed by the Craig A. Murray Custom Painting Company. He enjoyed racing his truck, linefishing, listening to Bluegrass music, and collecting wolf memorabilia and old-time airplanes. He also participated in Renaissance Fairs.

He is survived by his wife, the former Rachel A. Dixon; his mother, Dora Newlin of Dias Creek, NJ; a brother, John L., Jr. and his wife, Joetta of Greenville, SC; two sisters: JoAnn N. Fink and her husband, Dale, of Absecon, NJ, and Mary Ann Feliciano and her husband, Jeff, of Green Creek, NJ; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and many dear friends and his cat "Hobbs". In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Trout.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2007, at 5:00 PM at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ, where friends may call 4:00 to 5:00 PM. Devoted grandmother of Dr. Jeffrey Williams (Michele) and Jill Clemens (Daniel), and great grandmother of Joshua, Aiden, Samuel, Juliana and Leah. Mrs. Nicholas was a member of Cherry Hill Baptist Church and formerly of Christ's Bible Church in Pennsauken, where she was a Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader, Choir Member, Organist and Pianist. NICHOLAS, Thomas G.

On September 16, 2002. Age 82. Of Marlton, formerly of Merchantville. Beloved husband of Gloria. Loving father of Thomas H. Nicholas (and his wife Cathy) of Peasleeville, NY and JoAnne Williams (and her husband Ronald L.) of Moorestown. Devoted grandfather of Jill Clemens, Jeffrey Williams, and Paul J. Nicholas; and great grandfather of Juliana and Leah. Dear brother of Rachel Carr of Marlton and LeRoy Nicholas of Somers Point. Mr. Nicholas served in the Navy aboard the USS South Dakota during World War II. He retired from Diversey Co. as a salesman. Nicholls, William A.

William Arthur Nicholls of Atco, NJ, passed away on Saturday, December 23rd, 2006 at the Fountains at Cedar Park in Atco, NJ. He was 87 yrs. of age. A 43 year resident of Woodbury Heights, NJ where he served as Councilman in the 1960's, William resided in "The Fountains" in Atco, NJ, moving there from Marlton, NJ. Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1919, he was a 1937 graduate of Upper Darby H.S. Following high school he was employed by W.B. Saunders Publishing in Philadelphia. In 1942, Bill married the love of his life, Doris Elizabeth Nicholls (nee Luther), 1941 Rosemont College graduate, of Philadelphia, PA. Following the invasion of Pearl Harbor, Bill joined the United States Army Air Corps. He became a bombardier on B-17 aircraft and served in the European Theater. On his 20th bombing mission December 11, 1943, his aircraft was shot down over occupied Holland. Bill spent 17 1/2 months as a prisoner of war in Stalag Luft 1, near Barth, Germany, attempted escape twice and freed in 1945. Bill continued his service in the Air Force Reserve for another 20 years and retired with rank of Major. He was an active member and President of the 385th Bombardment Group Memorial Association which hosted a reunion in Philadelphia in September of 1997. Following the war Bill co-managed his family food distribution business, Ernest Nicholls & Sons, in Westville, NJ until his retirement in 1983. Bill and Doris enjoyed Elder Hostels, and traveling in the United States and Europe. The Nicholls were long time members and volunteers of Episcopal Churches in Woodbury Heights and Wenonah, New Jersey. In addition to his beloved wife, Doris, Bill is survived by his five children, Joan Sampieri, Kathryn, Michael, Bruce and David Nicholls. He is the brother of Ernest Nicholls and Nikki Lauterbach, and also survived by his nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Services on Friday, December 29 at 11:00 AM at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Communion, 442 South Route 73 in Berlin, New Jersey (1 mi. Nichols, George Glenn

George Glenn Nichols, 53, of Wildwood, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2007. He is survived by his daughter, Georgine; and his sisters, Susan Brusco and Ruthann Cromie. Nichols, Dorothy L.

Dorothy L. Nichols, 71, of Cape May Court House, died Friday, September 21, 2001, at home. She was born in Stapleton, Alabama to the late Lucious Brinard and Lelia Corinene Head Wilson. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cape May Court House. She had been an area resident since 1963 and founded the Harbor Furniture Company in 1969.

She is survived by her dear friend, Nick Dzierzynski; her son, Billy L. Nichols, Sr. and his wife, Suzanne, of Cape May Court House; her two daughters, Joyce Thompson of Connecticut, and Ellen Rauh and her husband, Gary, of California; ten sisters and brothers, Herbert, Marydee, Lelia Marie, Irene, Clyde, Marjorie, Virginia, Henry, Jerrel, and Bobbie, all of Alabama; her five grandchildren, Gary Rauh, Jr., Billy L. Nichols, Jr., Bert Dolan, III, Daniel Dolan, and Robert Nichols; and one great grandson, Harley Nichols.

Funeral services will be held Monday evening, September 24, at 8:30 PM at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where friends may call after 6:30 PM until the time of services. Interment will be private. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 626 North Shore Road, Absecon, NJ 08201.

Nichter, William J.

NICHTER, WILLIAM J. on July 26, 2005, of Mt. Laurel, NJ, formerly of the Mayfair section of Northeast Philadelphia. Beloved husband of Emiko (nee Suzuki) for 43 years. Loving father of Annette Cheryl Harris and her husband Matthew, Gregory Scott Nichter, and Patricia Joan Nichter. Also survived by his grandchildren, Michael Scott Harris (7) and William David Harris (3). Mr. Nichter was a veteran of the US ARMY. He was proud to have served his country during WWII. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Monday from 9:15-10:15 AM at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt. 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM at St. John Neumann Church, 560 Walton Ave., Mt. Laurel, NJ. Burial in Arlington cemetery, Pennsauken, NJ.

Nickless, Edward L.

Edward L. Nickless, 87, of Cape May Court House, departed this life on Friday, March 13, 2009 and went home to be with his Lord. Born in North Wildwood to the late George and Esther (Hansen) Nickless, he was a lifetime resident of this area. He was a Sergeant in the Army during World War II and served in the South Pacific. He received the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Star. He worked as a title examiner and was a former pilot that trained at the Cape May County Airport.

Mr. Nickless is survived by his daughters, Patricia Merryman (Robert), Susan Sterling (Richard), Deborah Graham (Robert), and Sandy Nickless; and his grandchildren, Robert Merryman, Jr., Brittany, Kaitlyn, Richard, and Michael Sterling, and Katie, Sarah, and Megan Graham. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Jane R. Nickless on November 26, 2007.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cape May County Veterans cemetery, Crest Haven Road, Cape May Court House.

Nickless, Jane R.

Jane R. Nickless, 80, of Cape May Court House, NJ, departed this life on Monday, November 26, 2007, and went home to be with her Lord. She was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Albert and Margaret (McCullough) Allen Sr., and moved to the area in 1949. She was an exceptional Sunday school teacher for many years. She will be missed from the Court House Convalescent Center-Alzheimers Unit, who the family would like to thank for their special care.

Mrs. Nickless is survived by Edward Nickless, her loving husband of 57 years; daughters Patricia (Robert) Merrymen, Susan (Richard) Sterling, Deborah (Robert) Graham, and Sandy Nickless; brother Albert Allen Jr.; sister Gertrude McClure, and predeceased by sister Margaret Allen; grandchildren Robert Merrymen Jr., Brittany, Kaitlyn, Richard, and Michael Sterling, Katie, Sarah, and Megan Graham.

Graveside services will be on Thursday, November 29, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Cape May County Veterans cemetery, Crest Haven Road, Cape May Court House, NJ.

Nicoletta, Carol Virginia

Carol Virginia Hand Nicoletta, 64, of Cape May Court House, died Thursday, January 22, 2004 at the home of her son, Anthony. She was born in Cape May Court House, the daughter of the late John and Eleanor Wood Hand. She was a member of the Lighthouse Church. She was a zoning officer for the Township of Middle for twenty nine years and also served as secretary to the Zoning and Planning Boards of Middle Township. She enjoyed traveling and visiting the casinos.

She is survived by two sons, Anthony D. and wife, Jean of Cape May Court House, and Michael W. and wife, Diane of Jacksonville, FL; eight brothers and sisters, Arden Hand of Stone Harbor, Nathaniel Hand of Augusta, GA, Lois Bennett of Riverside, CA, Shirley Pitale of Cape May Court House, Roger Hand of Ocala, FL, David Hand of Cape May Court House, Peggy McKee of Shamong, and Sandy French of Sea Isle City; seven grandchildren, Joseph, Ryan, Katrina, Joanna, Janette, Michael, and Matthew; three great grandchildren, Brandon, Diana, and Zachary. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John W. Hand.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where friends may call after 6:00 p.m. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to the Holy Redeemer Visiting Nurse Agency, 1801 Route 9 North, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
