Racz, Rachel

Rachel Racz (nee Creamer), 84 years of Woodine, died Friday, December 6, 2002, in Egg Harbor Township at home. Rachel was born and raised in Dennisville. She resided in Woodbine from 1939-2000 before moving to Egg Harbor Twp., wherre she resided with her daughter, Ellen. She was the wife of 57 years of the late John (Jerry) G. Racz, who passed away in 1996. She was a homemaker and a great cook. Her specialties were Stuffed Cabbage, Stuffed Noodles, Blueberry Tarts and Prune Cake. She and her husband enjoyed gardening and fishing. They enjoyed visiting their nine children and sixteen grandchildren.

She is survived by five sons: Jerry and Andre Racz of Mons, Belgium; James and Kathleen Racz of Sea Isle City; Eugene and Suzanne Racz of Lewes, DE; Thomas and Ann of Woodbine; Douglas and Lou Racz of Millville; and the late John Racz, Jr. who passed away in 1968; two daughters: Ellen and Michael Panchesine of Egg Harbor Twp.; Jeannie Racz and Vince of Millville; the late Bertha who passed away in 1999 and her late husband, John Hayes who passed away in 1989; her one sister: Verna Urban, 98 years, of Philadelphia. She has sixteen grandchildren: Kimberly, daughter of the late Bertha and John Hayes; Debbie Gass, James Racz, Jr., John Racz, Lori Cavanaugh, all children of James Racz; Thomas Racz, Jr., Sherry Racz, Kevin Racz and Paul Racz, all children of Thomas Racz; Kelly Racz and Karen Hazzard, both children of Eugene and Suzanne Racz; Janice Sartorio and Michael Panchesine, both children of Ellen and Michael Panchesine; Shawn Racz, son of Douglas Racz; and Danny Clarke and Derek Clarke, both children of Jeannie Racz. Also survived by seventeen great grandchildren and Richie Nevins of Johnsonburg, NJ, who was like a son for over fifty years.

Funeral Liturgy will be conducted by Father Harshaw of St. Casimir's Church, Clay St., Woodbine at 11:00 AM Tuesday, where relatives and friends may call after 9:00 AM. Interment in Greenwood cemetery, Broad St., Millville, next to her husband John (Jerry) G. Racz. Memorial donations to St. Casimir's Church.

Radano, Joseph V.

RADANO, On February 2, 2002, Joseph V. of Voorhees, NJ Age 92. Beloved husband of the late Thelma (nee Nelson) Loving father of Robert M. Radano, Nicholas G. Radano, and Arlene R. Stewart. Devoted Grandfather of 7 and great grandfather of 6. Dear brother of Frank and Charles Radano, Rita Matarrazzo, Chick Rotella, and Anna Veltry. Mr. Radano was a member of the Musicians Union in Phila, formerly owned Collingdale Music Store, and was the first drummer for Bill Haley and the Comets.

Radovich, Richard G.

RICHARD G. RADOVICH "RICK" of Marlton, NJ went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 12th, 2008. He was 65 yrs. of age. Born in Phila., PA he is the son of the late Giordano & Irene Radovich and has resided in Marlton for the past 21 yrs. moving there from Voorhees, NJ. Owner and proprietor of Echelon Hair Styling located in Voorhees and previously Cherry Hill, NJ, he owned the salon from 1969 until earlier this year. He currently attended Calvary Chapel in Bellmawr, NJ and formerly attended Fellowship Alliance Chapel in Medford, NJ and Marlton Baptist Church. He is the Beloved Husband of Ann Marie Radovich of Marlton, NJ and the loving Father of Ricky Radovich and his wife Heather of Maple Shade, NJ, Michael Radovich and his wife Chrissy of Voorhees, NJ, Jessica Radovich of Marlton, NJ and Daniel Radovich of Phila., PA. He is also survived by his brother Gordon Radovich and his wife Margaret of Stewart, FL, his Grandchildren Matthew, Amanda, Samantha and Jack and his brothers-n-law, Frank, Rick, Michael, Patrick and Bryan, his faithful Lab, Bentley and many other extended family and friends. RADWELL, on January 1, 2002, Jerry G. of Medford NJ. Beloved husband of Darlene H. Radwell (nee Oriol). Loving father of Todd (Maureen) of Columbus NJ, John (Jill) of Ambler PA, Brian (Karla) of Medford and Lori Payne (George) of Berlin and loving grandfather of Charlotte, Joanne, Amanda, Brittany, Darlene, Victoria, Julia, Ciara and Olivia. Also survived by 2 sisters, Claire Keenan of Newtown PA and Joan Duffy of Philadelphia. Jerry was the President and founder of Speck Industrial Controls Inc., Moorestown since 1979. He was an active member of St. Joan of Arc Church and the Knights of Columbus. Jerry was also a veteran of the US ARMY. Radzieta, Sophie Helen

Sophie Helen Radzieta, age 88, of Curwensville R.D., PA, died on Sunday, March 27, 2005 at the home of her daughter, Lucy R. Lee after a short illness. Sophie was born on January 2, 1917 in Bakerton, PA, the daughter of the late Vincent and Kathryn Kaczmarczyk Geneva. She was married to the late Jacob John Radzieta on May 10, 1932 and moved from Bakerton to Penn Township. She was a member of St. Bonaventure R. C. Church in Grampian, PA and of the Polish National Alliance.

She is survived by these children, Mrs. Matilda A. (Ernest) Colt of Bridgeton, NJ, John L. (Anna) Radzieta of Cape May Court House, NJ, Mrs. Patricia K. (William) Puzzuto of Curwensville, PA, Mrs. Lucy R. (David) Lee of Curwensville, PA and Ms. Christine J. Radzieta of Grampian, PA. Sophie is also survived by a brother, Joseph Geneva of Port Richey, FL; eleven grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren. In addition to her husband predeceasing her, she was predeceased by her four brothers, Raymond, Lewis, Frank and Leo Geneva; her sister, Mary Benamati; and two grandsons, Robert M. Puzzuto and David A. Colt.

Funeral Liturgy will be said on Thursday, March 31, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bonaventure's R.C. Church, Grampian, PA. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Raff, Jr., Robert

Robert Raff Jr., of Woodbine, died on Monday, December 1, 2003. Born in Cape May Court House, he was a lifetime resident of this area. He is survived by his sons, Robert Raff, III of Green Creek, and Duane Raff of Rio Grande; his mother, Margie (Trice) Green of Woodbine; his sisters, Rosemary Curdt of Woodbine, Terry Keever of Cape May Court House, and Donna Whelan of Florida; and one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Raff, Sr. on July 10, 1971.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 8, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private.

RAFUSE, Ruth Sara (nee Henderson)

Beloved wife of the late, Donald M.; Devoted mother of Donald L. And the late Susan Ruth; Dear sister of John and Earl Henderson and Palma Steelman.

Prior to retirement, Mrs. Rafuse was employed at with the West Jersey Heath System. She was also a member of the Trinity Bible Church in Glassboro for many years.

Loving mother of Michael Braciszewski (Amy), Christopher Braciszewski, James "Jimmer" Campbell, Susan "Suzie Q" Braciszewski, and also Joseph, David, and Matthew Ragone. Sister of Judith "Snooty Judy" Massari (Michael) and the late Sharon Rines. Grandmother of Samantha, Jason, Christopher, and Bella. Ragucci, Louise

Louise Ragucci, 83, of Sea Isle City, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2008 at her home. Born in Blakely, PA to the late Luke and Jennie (Dodgson) McGarry, she moved to Sea Isle City in 1971 from Staten Island, NY. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Sea Isle City, Catholic Daughters, and I Eta Pi.

A faith-filled joyous woman who touched the lives of many with her sunny smile and her wisdom, Mrs. Ragucci enjoyed reading, doing word search puzzles and watching EWTN. She also enjoyed cooking and laundry. She loved laughing and talking with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Ragucci was a teacher at St. Joseph's School in Sea Isle City and Assumption School in Staten Island. She assisted in organizing the Catholic Teachers Union in the Archdiocese of New York. She later worked in Sea Isle City City Hall and the Sea Isle Inn.

The family wishes to thank the nursing staffs of Compassionate Care and Holy Redeemer Hospice for the care they gave to Mrs. Ragucci. She will live on in the hearts and minds of all she touched - let us continue to celebrate her.

Mrs. Ragucci is survived by her children, Carmine Ragucci and his wife, Joyce, Mariann Albin and her husband, George, Patluke Ragucci and his wife, Donna, and John Ragucci and his wife, Darla; her twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; her dear friend of 65 years, Kathy Donovan; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pasquale.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 4308 Landis Avenue, Sea Isle City, NJ 08243. Viewings will be held at the church on Tuesday, April 29 from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, April 30 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Calvary Baptist cemetery, Ocean View. Rahm, Ruth M.

Ruth M. Rahm, age 92 of Ocean died Sunday, June 3, 2007 at St. Barnabas Hospice at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She was a Legal Secretary before retiring. Ruth loved to play bridge and poker. She enjoyed bowling and her trips to Atlantic City; but above all, she enjoyed dining out. Born in New York City, she lived in Eatontown and West Long Branch before moving to Ocean in 2005. She married Allan Martin Rahm on October 20, 1941 and he preceded her in death, September 30, 1984. She was also predeceased by a son, Richard; and a sister, Beatrice Lefcourt. Surviving is a son, Robert Rahm of Avenel; a sister and brother in law, Lee and Robert Alverez of Milwaukee, WI; a nephew, Louis Alverez of NYC; and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 5 from 7:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 8:30 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., (corner of Third), Long Branch. Raines, Dr. Colden D.

DR. COLDEN D. RAINES of Southampton, NJ went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 30th, 2007 at the Samaritan Hospice Center in Mt. Holly, NJ. He was 92 yrs. of age and was born Oct. 17, 1915 to Arthur B. & Exie M. Raines. Dr. Raines received his early education in Apex, NC. The family moved to Raleigh, NC so he could attend H.S. He attended Shaw University receiving a BS degree in 1940. He received his dental degree from Howard University in Washington, DC in 1946 and did his post graduate study at Guggenheim Clinic and Columbia University in NYC. He received a cert. in Anesthesiology from Down State Medical School and a certificate in Peridontology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. He served in the US Army during the Korean War as a dental officer and was honorably discharged as a Major. In 1957 he opened his dental practice in Newark, NJ and remained there during the riots of 1967 until his retirement in 2002. Dr. Raines was a life member of the American Dental Assoc., a member of the National Medical Assoc., the Society for the Advancement of Anesthesiology in Dentistry and the Newark Dental Club. He was also a member of the American College of Dentists and a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentists. He served his Alma Mater, Howard University, as an Asst. Prof. in the Shortage Area Dept. in the College of Dentistry. He served as a President of the College of Dentistry Alumni and received a citation as Alumni Dentist of the year. He was founding member of the Bergen-Passaic Howard University Alumni Club and served as its President. He was a very active member and was cited for his many contributions to the Club. Dr. Raines was a founder and charter member of the Kappa Theta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and was cited by the Chapter two times as "Man of the Year". He was a member of the Teaneck United Methodist Church for 34 years, where he served as a member of the Board of Trustees as Vice Pres. Upon moving to Southampton he joined the Vincentown United Methodist Church. He is survived by his devoted wife, Frances, two sons, Dr. Colden D. Raines Jr. and Romley H. Raines, Esq., and their wives Silvia and Eliana, a grandson James W. Turner IV, two granddaughters, Crystal and Jade Raines, two sisters, Mrs. Hettie R. Robinson of Raleigh, NC, and Mrs. Dorothy Hobbs and her husband Dr. Addison Hobbs of Charlottesville, VA, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Ida J. Lewis, three brother-in-laws, Dr. R.A. Johnson, William S. Johnson and Joseph Johnson all of Charlottesville, and a son-in-law Dr. James W. Turner III, many nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends. He was preceded in death by his only daughter Tajuana Raines Turner, his first wife, Marjorie Miles Raines, and two brothers William and James Raines. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at the Teaneck United Methodist Church, 201 DeGraw Ave., Teaneck, NJ where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM. RALPH, Gloria J.

(nee Watkins) of Voorhees, formerly of Hempstead, Long Island, NY. Suddenly on July 19, 2009. Age 75. Beloved wife of the late Wilfred. Loving mother of Pamela Ralph (Edward Lewis), Kathy Ralph, and Paula Ralph-Birkett (Tyrone Birkett). Devoted grandmother of Sydney, Jordan and Preston Lewis, Chistopher and Avery Ralph. Mrs. Ralph was an English teacher at Roosevelt High School and Uniondale High School on Long Island, a member of and former Secretary of the United Teachers Association. She was a member of the NAACP and President of the Brendenwood Residents Association. RAMMING, George H.

On February 16, 2004 of Cherry Hill. Age 65. Beloved husband of Nancy E. (nee Raimann) Loving father of Cheryl Ramming of Sewell and George Ramming, Jr. of Chicago. Also survived by 2 grandchildren. He was a 1961 graduate of Dartmouth College where he was on the basketball and track teams. Most recently, he was inducted into the Union Hill High School Hall of Fame. Randall, William Calvin

William Calvin Randall, 82, of South Dennis, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Chinchilla, PA to the late Silas Calvin and Hazel Catherina (Melville) Randall, he moved here 24 years ago from Binghamton, NY. He was a signalman in the Navy during World War II. He witnessed the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima while assisting in delivering the troops. He was an employee of GAF in Binghamton for 41 years. He enjoyed gardening and hunting and was a member of the beagle club.

Mr. Randall is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary S. (VanWhy) Randall; his children, Lynn M. Knight and her husband, Michael of Kirkwood, NY, Laurie Smack and her fiancé Jim Bender of Binghamton, NY, David Randall and his wife, Mary of Leesburg, and Mark Randall of Seaville; his brother, Silas Randall and his wife, Cindy of Port Crane, NY; his sister in law, Peggy Randall of Port Crane, NY; his five grandchildren, Kevin (Denise), Steven, and Shaun Knight, and Ashley and Brandon Smack; and his four great grandchildren, Aaron, Alex, Abbie, and Cody. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan M. Randall and his brother, Frank Randall. The family expresses their gratitude to the staff and physicians of the CCU at Cape Regional Medical Center for the care and comfort given to their husband, father, and grandfather.

Raniere, Gladys M.

Gladys M. Raniere, age 57 of Rumson died Saturday January 24, at St Barnabas Hospice, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She was secretary of billing department for the Borough of Rumson and she had previous worked for Almack Oil Delivery Service. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Rumson. Mrs. Raniere was a college graduated of Monmouth University, West Long Branch, Ex- Captain, Treasurer and Trustee of the Rumson First Aid Squad, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Rumson Fire Department. She was loved by all. Born in Long Branch, she was a life resident of the area.

Surviving is her husband of 21 years, Joseph P. Raniere; a brother, Al Monaco, California; 2 sisters, Joyce Stalfa, California, Carolyn Monaco, Allenhurst; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave, corner of Third Ave, Long Branch on Wednesday, January 28, from 2-4, 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday January 29, at 9:30 am from the First Presbyterian Church of Rumson, 4 East River Road, Rumson. Raniszewski, Louis Francis

Louis Francis Raniszewski, 69, of Wildwood, died on Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at the Atlanticare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, Atlantic City, New Jersey. He was born in Philadelphia, PA and was the son of the late Louis C. and Frances Helen Gratkowski Raniszewski. He formerly lived in the Bridesburg Section of Philadelphia.

Louis was a 41 year Police veteran serving with the Wildwood Police Department from 1964 through 1990 when he retired as Lieutenant. He was immediately appointed by Sheriff James Plousis to the administrative area in the Cape May County Sheriff's Department as an Investigator/Work Release Coordinator where he continued until his death.

He was Past Vice President and Secretary of the Cape May County Police Training Committee, Secretary with the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #7, Member of the American Legion Post #184, Member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla #86. He served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Plymouth Rock LSD 29 and was a member of the USS Plymouth Association.

Louis was a Trustee and a member of the St. Ann's Parish where he served as Lector and Eucharist Minister, he was also a member of Knights of Columbus, and was a 35 year member and Co Captain of Men of Malvern.

Louis F. Raniszewski is survived by his loving wife Dorothy (nee Rhile). His two sons Louis, Jr., and his wife Nancy of Seaville, NJ and Thomas A. of Rio Grande. His two brothers William S. and his wife Mary of Marlton, NJ and Edward S. and his wife Rita of Memphis, TN. Also survived by his three grandsons Andrew, Louis John and Christopher.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday evening May 24th, 6:00pm - 9:00pm at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ and then on Wednesday May 25th, 10:00am - 11:00am at St. Ann's Church, Wildwood where the Funeral Liturgy will be said at 11:00am. Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ.

Memorial donations may be made either to; Wildwood Catholic High School, 1500 Central Avenue, North Wildwood, NJ 08260, or St. Ann Regional School, 2901 New Jersey Avenue, Wildwood, NJ 08260, or Wildwood Police Explorers Post #170, c/o Wildwood Police Department, 4400 New Jersey Avenue, Wildwood, NJ 08260.

Rankin, Eugene M.

EUGENE M. RANKIN, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at the Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly, NJ. He was 78 yrs. of age. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he resided here in the Hoot Owl Section for 19 years, formerly residing in Basking Ridge, NJ. A retired Vice-President for the Brunswick Corp. in Chicago, IL, Gene was with the company for 33 years and was one of their top salesman. A member of the Medford Sr. Citizens he was a former President and was the current Treasurer. He is a veteran of the Army serving during WWII and was a member of the VFW Post 7677 and the Treasurer and Secretary for the 78th Signal Company. Known as someone you could always count on he also taught Sunday School for many years and was involved in Boy Scouts in NJ through Troop 51 in Basking Ridge, NJ. He is the beloved husband of June Rankin (Nee Bader), loving Father of Eric D. and his wife Cindy of Morgantown, WV, Donna Lynn Landress and her husband Richard of Setauket, NY, Glenn K. and his wife Stacy of Hillsborough, NJ and Craig S. and his wife Denise of Livingston, NJ and will be missed by his 7 beautiful grandchildren. Funeral Services are private and at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Rd. (Rt. 541) Medford, NJ, (609-953-7600). lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family requests donations to the Charity of your choice.
