Angelo Ranoia, 84, of Cape May Court House, NJ, died on Sunday, July 10, 2005 in the Eastern Shore Nursing Home, Cape May Court House, NJ. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, and has lived here coming from Wildwood, NJ. He was an Army Veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his two brothers: Peter of Cherry Hill, NJ and Fernando of Philadelphia, PA; his two sisters: Elizabeth "Betty" Gasper of Villas, NJ and Gilda Rutigliano of Atlantic City, NJ.

Funeral Liturgy will be said at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 14, 2005 at Our Lady of the Angels Church, East Mechanic St. and Garden State Parkway, Cape May Court House, NJ, where relatives and friends may call after 9:00 AM. Interment in Seaside cemetery, Palermo, NJ.

Ransom, Ollie Mae

Ollie Mae Ransom, 64, of Wildwood, NJ, died on Monday, July 18, 2005, at the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House, NJ. She was born in Tallahassee, FL and lived here for twenty five years. She was a nurses aide at the Cape May Care Center. She is survived by a son: Anthony; two daughters: Beverly Colson and Tracy Ransom; one sister: Mary Duncan; nine grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. At Ollie's request, there are no services.

Rantz, Charles B.

Charles B. Rantz, age 99 years of Garden Lake Park, Cape May Court House, NJ, died on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at the Eastern Shore Convalescent Center. Born in Quakertown, PA on July 6th, 1910 to the late Charles Rantz, Jr. & Minnie Smith, he has lived here for the past 24 years coming from Glenoldyn, PA. As a young man Charlie graduated from a hotel & restaurant school in Washington, DC and had a long career as a Food & Beverage Manager at the Falcon House in Monoa, PA and later enjoyed working at the Community Market in Cape May Court House. Charlie was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Cape May Court House & Moose Lodge # 585 of North Wildwood.

Charlie leave behind his bride of two years, Jessie (nee Shaw) Crews Rantz. The couple had a long twenty four year engagement. According to the minister who performed the ceremony, Charlie was the oldest groom he had ever & told him to kiss the bride. Charlie & Jessie liked to have friends over for a drink & he enjoyed the many friendships they had. He was born again in July 2007. Charlie was a father, grandfather & great grandfather.

Family members would like to thank their many friends, especially those from the Garden Lake Community, The United Methodist Church, the staff at Eastern Shore Nursing Home, the Police & Paramedics and especially Dr. Park. Your kindness, help and support to Charlie and Jessie in these last years has been deeply appreciated. Charlie left this world a happy man. All of you made a difference in his life. Thank You.

Raschilla, Theodore W.

RASCHILLA, on March 23, 2002, Theodore W. of Marlton, NJ age 87 yrs. Born in Phila., PA he has resided in Marlton for the past 33 yrs. A retired Distribution Manager for Raymond Rosen & Co. in Phila., PA he worked for them for 43 years until his retirement in 1979 and was a Veteran of the Army serving in WWII. He is a member of the St. Joan of Arc Church in Marlton, NJ. He is the beloved husband of Marie A. (Nee Drennan) Raschilla of Marlton, NJ and the husband of the late Agnes E. (Nee Caroselli). He is also survived by his children Francis R. Raschilla of Wildwood Crest, NJ, Marilyn R. Levins of Marlton, NJ, Sharon M. Custer of Absecon, NJ, Robert J. Magee of Etters, PA and Stephen J. Magee of Voorhees, NJ, his brother Nicholas R. Raschilla of Feasterville, PA, his sister Cecilia Thompson of Norfolk, VA, 10 Grandchildren, 1 Great Granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Tuesday from 7:00-9:00 PM and on Wednesday from 8:30-9:30 AM at the BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME, Rt 73 and Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ (856-983-1005). Rasp, Constance M. " Connie "

Constance M. "Connie" Rasp, age 74, Oakhurst died Monday April 11, 2005 at home. She graduated Saint Mary's School of Nursing in 1951. A registered nurse she worked, for Hertiage Hall Eatontown, was the school nurse for Deal School from 1973 to 1975 and then at the Eatontown Convalescent Center until her retirement in 1994.

She was a communicant of St. Michael's RC Church, West End and a member of the choir.

Born in Passaic, she lived in Manasquan before moving to Oakhurst 40 years ago.

She was pre-deceased by her husband John D.W. Rasp, Sr. in 1996 and her son John D.W. Rasp, Jr. in 1962.

Surviving are two sons and their spouses, Glenn A. and Peggy Rasp, Dowingtown, PA and Brian D. and Renata Rasp, Oakhurst, a sister, Eileen LaRocca, Franklin Lakes and six grandchildren, Justine, Teddy, Jennifer, Erin, Emily and Allison.

Visitation will be at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave on the corner of Third Ave, Long Branch on Wednesday April 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Thursday, April 14, 9:30 am from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 10:30 am at St. Michael's RC Church, West End. Interment will follow at St. Nicholas cemetery, Lodi. Memorial donations to Meridian Hospice, 615 Hope Road, Building 4, 2nd floor, Eatontown, NJ 07724.

RASPA, JOSEPH J.

On December 30, 2002 of Marlton, NJ formerly of Cherry Hill, NJ.

Beloved soul mate of Beverly J. Miller; Devoted father of Joseph G. And the late, David M.; Dear brother of Mary Ann and her husband Rocco Toci; Also survived by nieces and nephews, Maria and Peter D'Antonio, Anthony and Jacqueline Toci and Gregory and Michelle Toci.

Prior to retirement, Mr. Raspa was employed at the Rickshaw Inn and the Clarion Hotel in Cherry Hill. He was also a United States Army Veteran.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral on Saturday from 9AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11AM at the Church of St. Joan of Arc in Marlton. Interment Calvary cemetery, Cherry Hill. Rathbun, George Daniel

George Daniel Rathbun, 79, formerly of Tenafly, NJ, husband of Louise nee DeGraw. Father of Gloria Rao of Fairlawn, NJ, Louise Bardelle of North Wildwood, NJ, Doreen Harris of CAtshill, NY, Daniel of Howell, NJ, and George of Villas, NJ. Survived by two brothers, two sisters, and nine grandchildren.

Services on Friday, February 20, 2004, at 11:00 AM at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Av., Cape May Court House, NJ, where friends may call Thursday 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Friday 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment in Cape May County Veterans cemetery.

Rattigan, Kathleen M

KATHLEEN M. RATTIGAN of Cherry Hill, NJ passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2009 in the Avista Health Care Center in Cherry Hill, NJ. She was 93 years of age. Born in New York City, NY, she was a former employee of the Organization for the Prevention of Blindness in New York City and for Dorothy Grey in New York City. She is the Beloved Aunt of Ron W. Raum, Eleanor Pittman

Eleanor Pittman Raum, 85, of Avalon, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at Loyalton of Cape May. She lived in Avalon for 25 years before moving into Loyalton two years ago. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Avalon, where she was in the choir and women's club. She was a member of bridge clubs and formerly was president of the Avalon Women's Club. She was in musical groups, choir, and orchestra, playing the cello. She has traveled extensively in the United States. She always enjoyed hostessing family dinners and get togethers during the summer and holidays.

Mrs. Raum is survived by her husband of 66 years, John R. Raum, Jr.; her son, Richard Raum and his wife, Heather; her daughter, Patricia Perkins; her five grandchildren and four great grandchildren living in New Jersey, North Carolina, and Maryland.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Avalon, 3344 Dune Drive, Avalon. Interment will be on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA. Ravaschiere, Carmella "Millie"

Carmella "Millie" Ravaschiere of West Long Branch died Friday, March 30, 2007 at Jersey Shore Center, Eatontown. She was a seamstress at the Silk Mill in Long Branch, then at Sigmund Eisner Clothing Company in Red Bank before retiring.

Mrs. Ravaschiere was also a monitor in the West Long Branch school system. She was a parishioner of Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. She is predeceased by her husband, Nicholas Ravaschiere in 1981. Surviving is a son and daughter in law, Dominic and Lorraine Ravaschiere of Interlaken; her daughter, Anita Walsh of Atlantic Highlands; a brother, Charles Musto of Florida; a sister, Gloria Martin of West Long Branch; 6 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave, on the corner of Third Ave, Long Branch. Funeral Monday, April 2, 8:30 am from the funeral home followed by a 9:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Star of the Sea R.C. Church, Long Branch. Interment will follow at Woodbine cemetery, Oceanport. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations in her memory can be made to Star of the Sea Church, 101 Chelsea Ave., Long Branch, NJ 07740.

Ravaschiere, Rocco

Rocco Ravaschiere age 84 of Eatontown died Friday, March 19 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was an attorney in Red Bank for many years. He served his country honorably during World War II in the US Army Air Force, where he was a prisoner of war. A recipient of the Purple Heart and received the Distinguished Flying Cross after flying in thirty eight combat missions. During two of his combat missions, his plane was shot down. He was a member of the Veteran Administration and the New Jersey Bar Association. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he had lived in West Long Branch and Long Branch before moving to Eatontown 15 years ago.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Minchen Ravaschiere; 2 sons, Frank T. Ravaschiere, Long Branch, Robert V. Ravaschiere, Long Branch; a daughter Claudia J. Ravaschiere, Boston, MA; 2 sisters, Antoinette Tesoriero, West Long Branch, Frances Colangelo, Florida; and 4 grandchildren, Benjamin Rocco Ravaschiere Moss, Kara Minchin, Sherie Killingback, Heather Tier.

Relatives and friends may call at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., corner of Third, Long Branch on Monday, March 22 from 2-4, 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, 10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Greenwood cemetery, Brielle. Memorial donations are requested to the American Heart Association, 2550 Route 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902-4301.

Ravaschiere, Maureen F.

Maureen F. Bergin Ravaschiere age 62 of West Long Branch died Tuesday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. She was a supervisor for Aramark Food Service at Monmouth Park Race Track, Oceanport for 15 years.Born in Brooklyn, she had lived in Red Bank before coming to West Long Branch 40 years ago.She was a parishioner of St Jerome Roman Catholic Church, West Long Branch.

Surviving are her husband Thomas D. Ravaschiere, 2 sons and 2 daughters in law, Thomas J. and Gina Ravaschiere, Wanamassa, Gary J and Dominique Ravaschiere, Eatontown, 2 daughters and a son in law, Susan J, Clayton, West Long Branch, Sharon A. and Seth Shugar, Barnegat, a sister Veronica Donath, Florida, and 8 grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may call at the Damiano Funeral Home, Third and Franklin Aves, Long Branch on Thursday from 2-4 7-9. pm. Funeral Friday 8 am from the funeral home followed by a 9 am Mass at St Jerome R.C. Church, West Long Branch. Entombment will be in Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport. Ravaschieri, Elizabeth Canonico

ELIZABETH CANONICO RAVASCHIERI, 96, of WEST LONG BRANCH, died Thursday, Dec. 18, at Jersey Shore Care Center, Eatontown. She was a retired sewing machine operator. Born in Red Bank, she was a life resident of the area.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Ravaschieri, in 1988; a sister, Rose Di Guglielmo; and four brothers, Steve, Nunzio, Carmen and Fred Canonico. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Jr. and Lucille Ravaschieri of West Long Branch; a daughter and son-in-law, Antoinette and Walter Yarborough of Tinton Falls; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

Relatives and friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Damiano Funeral Home, Third and Franklin avenues, Long Branch. The funeral will be 9 a.m. Saturday from the funeral home followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Jerome Roman Catholic Church, West Long Branch. Interment will be in Woodbine cemetery, Oceanport.

Ravenkamp, Sr., Edward J.

Edward J. Ravenkamp, Sr., 74, of Cape May Court House, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, died on Thursday, August 2, 2001, at home. Born on July 13, 1927 in Philadelphia, he lived here for 13 years.

Mr. Ravenkamp was a Navy Veteran of World War II and an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church and the American Legion.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Clare A. of Cape May Court House; his children, Clare (Rich), Edward (Jean), Michael (Anne), Alice (Steve), and William; 12 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and forever be in our hearts.

Funeral Liturgy will be said on Monday, August 6, at 12 noon at Our Lady of the Angels Church, Garden State Parkway and East Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Love of Linda Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 1053, Wildwood, NJ 08260.

Rayauskas, Joseph Anthony

Joseph Anthony Rayauskas, 68, of Wildwood Crest, died on Wednesday, May 31, 2006. He was born in Philadelphia to the late Joseph and Anna (Blazie) Rayauskas and was a lifetime resident here. He was a dispatcher for the Wildwood Crest Police Department. He was a member of the Church of the Assumption in Wildwood Crest.

Mr. Rayauskas is survived by his daughter, Maria Nastasi; and his grandchildren, Joseph Nastasi, Nicholas Nastasi, and Michael Mellor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva in 2005.

Funeral Liturgy will be said on Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption, 7110 Seaview Avenue, Wildwood Crest, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Cold Spring.

RAYMOND, Roy R. on August 8, 2005, of Marlton NJ, formerly of Fishkill, NY, Cherry Hill NJ and Baton Rouge LA. Age 73. Beloved husband of Barbara A. Raymond (nee Allan). Loving father of Elizabeth A. Hawn (Barry) of Erial NJ, Gail P. Shevlin (Paul) of Newtown Square PA, Carol L. McDonald (Jody) of Marlton NJ, David A. Raymond (Carol) of Port St. Lucie FL and John P. Raymond (Natalie) of Baton Rouge LA. Dear brother of Donald P. Raymond (Maryjean). He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Christopher, Jenna, Maggie, Patrick, Jack, Maddie, Phillip, Stephanie, Victoria, Nicholas, Catie, J. Patrick, Jr. and Thomas. Born and raised in Topsham ME and a graduate of the class of 1954 of the University of Maine at Orono, Mr. Raymond was a Veteran of the US ARMY. He was employed for over 40 years with Texaco as a Mechanical Staff Engineer. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Thursday from 8:45-9:45am at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church Elmwood and Evesboro-Medford Rds. Marlton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Raymond, Joseph Francis

Raymond, Joseph Francis, age 85 years of Cape May Court House, died on Sunday, January 13, 2008 at his home. Born in Wilmngton, DE he has lived here for the past nine years coming from Newark, DE. He was a salesman at Union Park Pontiac, Newark, DE and retired 30 years ago. He was a Navy veteran of WW II, Maris Stella Church, Avalon, NJ, VFW Post #475 of Newark, DE, American Legion, Avalon Golf Club and enjoyed Golfing.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Agnes (nee Tolwinski)Raymond, one son; Joseph F., and his wife Hilary Raymond, Jr. of Wake Forest, NC, his daughter, Victoria and her husband Marc Revoir of Cape May Court House, NJ, his sister Norma Fitzpatrick of Wilmington, DE, his four grand daughters; Nicole and her husband Mike, Corey, Abby & Shelby and one great grandson Andrew.

Funeral Liturgy will be said 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at Maris Stella Church, 50th Street & Dune Drive, Avalon where relatives and friends may call after 10:00 AM.
