REYNOLDS, on March 20, 2005, Rev. Linda E. of Medford NJ. Beloved wife of Rev. Dr. Ralph W. Reynolds. Loving mother of Wayne J. Evelo Jr. and his wife, Stacie and Eric S. Evelo and his wife, Dena. Dear sister of Susan, Spencer & Stuart Nichols and dear grandmother of Devon, Alex, Emily & Abigail. Rev. Reynolds was an Interfaith Minister and Wholistic Healer who was highly educated and well respected in various fields. She was a teacher, potter, real estate broker and a member of the Mendelssohn Club of Philadelphia. Relatives and friends are invited to the Memorial Service on Friday at 5pm at the St. James Lutheran Church, Folsom NJ. Interment will be private. Reynolds, W. Elliott "Bill"

REYNOLDS, W. Elliott "Bill". On August 11, 2003 age 83 years. Originally from Stone Harbor and spent most of his adult years in Camden. He was a member of the Delaware River Yachtsman League for 53 years, Financial Secretary for 43 years, Gold Card member officer, trustee of Farragut Sportsman's Assoc., Westville Power Boat Assoc for over 50 years and a retired member of the South Jersey Water Pollution Assoc. He loved his boat "Torque IV" and boating especially on the Chesapeake Bay. He is survived by his beloved wife, Angeline (nee Ritts), a devoted son Kiven and his wife Ingrid, two grandsons Kiven II and Kolton and 24 nieces and nephews including Rose, Suzanne, Robert and William. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Friday from 7-9 PM and Saturday from 8:30-9:00 AM at the Bradley Funeral Home, 601 Rt 73 South in Marlton. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Broadway and Market Streets in Camden. Interment Sacred Heart cemetery in Mt. Holly.

Reynolds, George

George Reynolds, 73, of Cape May Court House, NJ, departed this life on October 4, 2009 at the Court House Convalescent Center after a brief illness. George was a long time resident of Woodbine, NJ. He worked for Tuck Industries of Woodbine, West Company of Millville, Court House Convalescent Center, Eastern Shore Nursing Home and Luk Oil Company.

He is survived by his wife, Bennie Jean Reynolds of Cape May Court House, NJ, sons; Kenneth of Vineland, Gerald of Cape May Court House, Mark Gibson of Peoria, IL, daughters; Rosalind of Baltimore, MD, Rita of Millville and Rhonda of Atlanta, GA, one brother Melvin of St. Louis, MO and a host of Grand, Great-Grand children, nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. Funeral services provided by Radzieta Funeral Home of Cape May Court House.

Services to be held at Christ Gospel Church (The Love Center), 2209 Route 9 South, Whitesboro on Saturday, October 10, 2009. Viewing 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Services immediately following the viewing. Repast will be held at the VFW Post, Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House. Interment at Woodbine cemetery, Martintown Road, Woodbine, NJ.

Rhoda, Madeline Theresa

Madeline Theresa Rhoda, 91, of South Dennis, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Crest Haven Nursing Home. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she moved here in 1969. She was a member of Maris Stella Church.

Mrs. Rhoda is survived by her children, Edward W. Rhoda of Fairless Hills, PA, Gerald Rhoda of South Dennis, NJ, and Marleen Dramis of South Dennis, NJ; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 28, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery.

Rhodes, George "Bud" E.

George "Bud" E. Rhodes, 87, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia to the late Harry and Gladys (Beam) Rhodes, he moved here in August of 1975 from Warminster, PA. A decorated World War II Army Veteran, he received a Silver Star and a Bronze Star for gallantry in combat. He was also a champion boxer in the Army. He was past commander of the VFW Post 1597 Croydon, PA. He was the superintendant of building and grounds for the Middle Township Public Schools after retiring from Eaton Corp. in Philadelphia. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening.

Mr. Rhodes is survived by his daughters, Sandra (Tony) Gallo and Shirley (Gregg) Taylor; his seven grandchildren (not sure which one is the favorite), Kimberly Tomkinson, David Tomkinson, Jr., Shaina Taylor, Brittany Tomkinson, Brooke Taylor, Matthew Gallo, and Jordan Taylor; one great granddaughter, Madison Saduk; his stepson, Walter (Joyce) Szymanski and their children, Adriane, Michelle, and Jeanette; his brothers and sisters, Gladys "Sis" Rhodes Oppman, Harry "Juney" Rhodes, Virginia "Ginny" Carson Asay, John "Buzzy" Carson, and Deanna Carson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wives, Thelma Derricks Rhodes and Ruth Kern Taylor Rhodes; and his brothers, Arthur "Art" Rhodes and Russell "Moose" Rhodes.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where viewing will begin at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery, Cape May Court House. Memorial donations may be made to the Lighthouse Church Building Fund, 1248 Route 9 South, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.

Rhodes, Betty

Betty Rhodes, 74, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2008 of kidney failure after battling diabetes and heart disease. Born and raised in Cape May County, she became a long-time resident of Neptune with her late husband, Gary Rhodes. In 2001, she returned to Cape May Court House and reunited with childhood friends and remaining family.

Betty was a member of the Woodbine Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed pottery, swimming and spending time sharing stories of "those Wildwood days, wild, wild, Wildwood days" with her friends at Lower Cape Senior Center in Villas, NJ.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, USCG(RET) Gary Rhodes, himself a Cape May County native and "the boy next door", as well as by her daughter, Bonnie Kozak, a lifelong resident of Cape May County.

Betty is survived by her grandsons, Matthew Kozak and his wife, Beth, of Cape May Court House and Aaron Kozak and his wife, Dana, and their newborn daughter, Bria, of Williamstown; and her devoted friend, Cora of Cape May Court House.

Funeral services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty's memory may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 516 Webster Street, Woodbine, NJ 08270.

Ribeiro, Maria Cecilia

Maria "Cecilia" Ribeiro age 53 of Long Branch passed away early Sunday morning at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Cecilia was a woman with the heart the size of a soccer ball and always greeted you with a smile on her face. In the end, the heart which she gave so freely had nothing left to give herself. She kept fighting constantly, her battle with cancer, until the end. Her strength and courage was an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be sorely missed and fondly remembered. She was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. She was predeceased by her father, Joao Mendes Guiomar and a brother, Manuel Guiomar. Cecilia was a loving wife to Jose Ribeiro and a caring mother to her sons, Telmo and Sergio Ribeiro, whom meant the world to her. Also surviving is her mother, Adelina Prazers Guiomar of Portugal; her siblings, Laurentino Guiomar of Long Branch; Eugenia Monteiro of Ocean Twsp.; Amadeu Guiomar of Long Branch and Salvador Guiomar of Portugal. Born in Sao Mamede, Batalha Portugal, she had lived in Long Branch for 28 years. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 1, from 2-4, 7-9 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave. on the corner of Third Ave, Long Branch. Funeral Thursday, 8:00 am from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00 am at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church. Interment will follow in Woodbine cemetery, Oceanport. The family requests donations to the American Cancer Society, 801 Broad St., Shrewsbury, NJ 07701.

RICCHINI on Dec. 4, 2001 Catherine R. nee Dugan of Marlton age 88 wife of the late Frank Ricchini and survived by her 5 children & 6 grandchildren & 4 greatgrandchildren. Ricci, Joseph P.

Joseph P. Ricci age 64 of Ocean Township died Sunday at home.

He was proprietor of Joe's Mirror Glass, Long Branch.

Born in Highlands, he had lived in Long Branch before coming to Ocean 36 years ago

He was a parishioner of St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch.

Surviving are his wife, Ida Recanzone Ricci, a son Joseph Jr., Ocean, 2 sisters, Loretta Pyle, Texas and Donna Sleifer, Ocean, his brothers and sisters in law, Howard and Janice Recanzone, Dolores and Richard Walker, Jean Russomano and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at the Damiano Funeral Home, Third and Franklin Aves, Long Branch on Monday from 2-4, 7-9 pm. Funeral Tuesday December 24, at 9 am at the funeral home followed by a 10 am Mass at St John the Baptist R.C. Church, Long Branch. Interment will be in Mt Carmel cemetery, West Long Branch.

Riccio, Ernest A.

Riccio, Ernest A., age 57 years, of Wildwood Crest, devoted father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 22, 2006 at his home. Born in Cleveland, OH, he was a lifetime resident of Wildwood Crest. He was a Clam Boat Captain, an Air Force Vietnam War Veteran and loved to build toys and furniture. He is survived by his mother Nellie (Edwin) Bender of Wildwood Crest, Father Nicholas J. (Patricia) Riccio of Wildwood, his companion Adele Lenggenhager of Clementon, his five children; William Riccio, Lelah (Jay) Eppenbach, Ava Ricco, Julina (Bob) Shepanski, and Honna Riccio all of Cape May, two brothers Nicholas J. (Darlene) Riccio of Englewood, FL and Michael (Linda) Riccio of Cape May Court House, his sister Sandra (Leonard) Klaus of Cape May Court House, his granddaughter Maya and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Advent, Washington and Franklin Streets, Cape May, where relatives and friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Cold Spring Presbyterian cemetery. Rice, Lillian Hires

Lillian Hires Rice, age 88 years died on Tuesday, March 29th at the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House, NJ. Born in Lakewood, NJ she has lived here since 1933 coming from Paulsboro, NJ. She was an Assistant Postmaster at the Cape May Court House Post Office and retired in 1970 after 25 years of service. She was a member of the Asbury Methodist Church, Swainton, NJ.

Lillian was predeceased by her husband Charles T. Rice in 1988. She is survived by her two daughters Florence Hayes of Swainton and Grace & her husband Jay Johnson of Charleston, SC. Also survived by seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Memorial graveside Funeral Service will be conducted on Monday, April 4th, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the Asbury Methodist cemetery, Swainton, NJ. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Asbury Methodist Church, P.O. Box 713, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210

Rice, Caroline "Carolyn" V.B.

Caroline "Carolyn" V.B. Rice, 98, of Sea Isle City, NJ, died on Monday, May 12, 2003, at her home. She was born in Afton, VA. She was a retired registered nurse having worked in Virginia and Louisiana.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Charles Rice of Sea Isle City, and a sister, Irene "Stuart" Farrar of Afton, VA.

Friends may call Thursday, May 15, 2003, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Av., Cape May Court House, NJ. Interment at a later date.

Rice, Jr., Edward "Ned" James

Edward James 'Ned' Rice, Jr., 88, Commander USCG, (Ret.), passed to our heavenly father's side on June 2, 2008, at Holiday, FL. Ned was born in Kensington, MD on April 6, 1920, the son of the late James Edward and Sallie Simms Rice. A former resident of Cape May Court House, NJ, he is joining his sisters, Marie Stone and Lucille Wright, who also lived in Cape May Court House at the time of their death; his sister, Barbara Seaman Rice, resides in Middle Township, NJ.

Ned schooled in Middle Township, and with the outbreak of World War II, he enlisted in the USCG and attended the USCG Academy becoming an Ensign. In 1942, Ned was the skipper of a "sub-buster", the 83445. During his tour, he had a harrowing experience with a German submarine, although the submarine got away, he was steadfast in his devotion to duty and volunteered for the Pacific Theater. In 1943, Ned crossed the Pacific on the AK-80 "Ensalades" loaded with aviation gasoline, with a home port of Norfolk, VA with a docking in New Caledonia, New Zealand. In February, 1944, Ned transferred to the LST (Landing Ship Tank) 18 as the navigation officer. He served with the LST 18 to Leyte Island, Taclobin, Cebu and Samar. Ned was also a part of the task force that returned General Douglas MacArthur to the Philippines. At the end of the war, Ned came back home on the T-2 "Pulpit Rock" a merchant marine vessel through the Panama Canal. From Panama, he flew to Miami and returned to Washington, DC. In 1945, Ned returned to work for the National Guard Bureau as a clerk and attended the University of Maryland. In 1948, Ned moved to St. Petersburg, FL, and gained employment with the John S. Rhodes Funeral Home. In 1950, he attended and graduated from mortuary school in Indianapolis, IN. Ned was a 32nd Degree Mason with Northside Lodge #283 in St. Petersburg, FL and was also a Shriner. He returned to St. Petersburg, FL and met and married Margaret Joanette Judah of Marianna, FL whom gave him three children. Ned was also married for some time to Dr. Patricia Stark of Houston, TX.

Ned left behind three children: Edward James Rice, III of Holiday, FL, Susan Shively of Tallahassee, FL, and Mark Jeffery Rice of Port Richey, FL; five grandchildren: Randolph J. Shively of Philadelphia, PA, Edward J. Rice, IV of Alexandria, VA, Jared B. Shively of Gainesville, FL, Joseph D. Rice of Brandon, FL, and Joshua S. Shively of Tallahassee, FL; three great grandchildren; nephews and nieces including Dr. Carey Stone of Wildwood Crest, NJ, Charles Wright of Havana, FL, Keith Seaman of Boca Raton, FL, Denny Seaman of Berkley Springs, WV, Sally Garrison and Jill Hoffman of Cape May Court House, NJ.

A viewing will be held on Friday, June 6, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ, with his funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Baptist cemetery, Cape May Court House, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 101 South Main St., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.

Ned's travels took him around the world, but now with God's Grace, he will rest near his mother and father in Cape May Court House, NJ.

Rich, Captain William L.

Captain William L. Rich, Jr. age 79 of West End, Long Branch died Saturday at home.

Capt Rich was a member of the International Organization of Master Mates and Pilots. He became a ship captain at the age of 23 and went onto serve in 14 separate invasions, including Korean and Vietnam. German submarines torpedoed two of his ships. Capt Rich earned the Merchant Marine Combat Bar, the Pacific War Zone Bar, the Victory Medal, the Atlantic War Zone Bar, the Mediterranean Middle East War Zone Bar, and most recently was awarded the NJ Distinguished Service Medal, the highest honor awarded by the state. During peacetime, Capt. Rich was appointed Director of Research and International Affairs, serving the US as a delegate to the United Nations Maritime Committee. He also served assistant to the Law of the Sea Convention. He was also appointed to assist Secretary of Labor Ray Donovan in the United Nations in Geneva. Capt Rich was admired and respected by all who knew him. He set an example of faith and spirituality in even the most adverse conditions. He was a faithful member of the Alcoholics Anonymous for many years.

He was born in Jersey City, he had lived in Wanamassa before coming to West End 15 years ago.

He attended Brooklyn Prep, University of Notre Dame, where he was captain of the baseball team, and the US Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point earning a degree in admiralty law and marine insurance. Capt Rich played professional baseball for the NY Giants in 1941.

He was pre-deceased by a brother Robert in 1983, and surviving are his wife Beverly Hess Rich; 2 sons and 2 daughters in law, Dr William and Martha Rich, Annandak, VA, John and Kathleen Rich, Boston; 2 daughters and 2 sons in law, Anne and Charles Von Nordeck, Baltimore, Maryland, Patricia and William Turner, New York; a sister Lynn Rich, 3 grandchildren Meagan, Jessica, and Marianne; his wife's loving children, Michael Mc Laughlin, Daniel and Adrienne Mc Laughlin, Lauren and Mark Mayer, Sharon and John Novak, Sally and Scott Wilson and their children, Kate, Bob, Justin, Steven, Allison, Charlie, Tom and Devin.

Relatives and friends may call at the Damiano Funeral Home, Third and Franklin Aves, Long Branch on Tuesday from 2-4, 7-9 pm. Funeral Wednesday October 30 at, 8 am at the funeral home followed by a 9 am Mass at the Church of Precious Blood, Monmouth Beach. Interment will be in Glenwood cemetery, West Long Branch. Rich, Mary "Molly" W.

Mary "Molly" W. Rich, age 84 years of Cape May Court House, formerly of Stone Harbor died on Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Loyalton of Cape May. Born in Atlantic City she was a resident at Loyalton for the past two and a half years.

Molly was a member of the Yacht Club of Stone Harbor, Garden & Civic Clubs of Stone Harbor and was a volunteer at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House, NJ.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard in 1985. She is survived by her son Robert T. and his wife Joselyn Rich of Stone Harbor, NJ and her daughter Barbara N. Rich of Santa Cruz, CA., also survived by her seven grandchildren.

Memorial services and interment are private. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 95th Street & Third Ave., Stone Harbor, NJ 08247.

RICH, Suddenly on September 14, 2001, William S. of Morrisville, PA, formerly of Levittown, PA. Age 44 yrs. Born in Phila., PA he is a graduate of Nashaminy High School in Langhorne, PA. He is employed as a Sales and Service Representative with IMAC Systems Inc. in Tullytown, PA where he worked for 10 yrs. He is the beloved son of Calvin C. & Laura L. (Nee Angus) Rich of Leisuretown, Southampton, NJ. Loving father of Jennifer L and Danielle R. Rich both of Yardley, PA, brother of Dr. Robert A. Rich and his wife Michelle M. of Orleans, MA and Susan R. Ploss and her husband Richard S. of Medford, MA. Also survived by his fiancee' Ruth E. Cariola of Langhorne, PA., his nephew Jeffrey S. CALVIN C. RICH, of Leisuretowne, Southampton, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, August 30th, 2006 at the Medford Care Center in Medford, NJ. He was 83 yrs. of age. Born in Burtonsville, MD he has lived in Leisuretowne since 1992 moving there from Bensalem, PA. A retired Accountant, he also served in the US Navy during WWII and was an active member of the Shawnee Baptist Church in Shamong, NJ. Calvin is the Beloved Husband of Laura L. (Nee Angus) Rich and the loving Father of Dr. Robert A. Rich and his wife Michelle of Orleans, MA and Susan R. Ploss and her husband Richard of Medford, MA. He is also survived by his brother John R. Rich of FL, his Grandchildren Jeffrey S. Rich, Dr. Rebecca A. Konieczny, Jennifer L. Rich and Danielle R. Rich and his Great Grandchildren Madeliene and Loralei Rich. He is the father of the late William S. Rich and the brother of the late Eleanor Ramsburg and the late Wilson Rich.
