Roddy, Frances L..

RODDY, Frances (age 76) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 4, 2005 surrounded by her loving family. Frances Rebecca Little was born into the farming community of Morrisons Cove, Penna. on October 12, 1928. She attended Juniata College, where she met her future husband and lifelong companion Eugene A. Roddy. Gene and Frances were married on June 26, 1948. Frances graduated in 1950 with a degree in vocal music, while Gene went on to complete divinity school. After serving as church organist and choir director at the Faith United Presbyterian Church in Medford, N.J., Frances taught vocal music in the Medford Lakes Public School System from 1967 to 1987. She then became active in the Moorestown Presbyterian Church choir and continued to sing until health considerations finally confined her to home.

Frances Roddy is survived by her husband, Rev. Eugene A. Roddy of Marlton, N.J., her sister Ruth Over of Woodbury, Penna., her daughter Nadine Roddy of Charlottesville, Va., her son Mark Roddy, wife Denise, and grandson Ian of Linwood, N.J., her son Brian Roddy, wife Mary, and granddaughters Johannah and Margaret of Fairfax, Vt., step-grandson Drew Camp and wife Michelle of Somers Point, N.J., and numerous nieces and nephews.

The viewing will take place at the Moorestown Presbyterian Church on Monday, May 9, 2005 at 10:30 until 12:00 noon. The funeral service will immediately follow. The burial will be the following day at 2:00 p.m. at the Loysburg Community cemetery in Morrisons Cove, Penna. Funeral directed by Bradley Funeral Home, Marlton (856) 983-1005.

Rodrigues, Margaret M.

Margaret M. Rodrigues, 74, of Cape May Court House, NJ, died on Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, Cape May Court House, NJ. She was born in Woodbury, NJ, the daughter of Joseph and Elva Harrison Penn Rodrigues. She was a Certified Nurses Aide at Crest Haven before retirement. She was an avid bowler and fanatic bingo player. There are no survivors.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at 10:00 AM at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Av., Cape May Court House, NJ, where friends may call after 9:30 AM. Interment will be in Fairview cemetery, Cape May Court Housre, NJ. Margaret will be missed by her many close friends.

Rodriguez, Jose Antonio

Rodriguez, Jose Antonio, age 62, of Galloway Township, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2001 at his residence. He was born in Ajunta, P.R. He served his country honorably as a member of the U.S. Army, and was stationed in Alaska. He formerly lived in Jersey City before moving here 23 years ago to join the casino industry, enjoying the last 16 years at Trump Marina Casino and Hotel as a supervisor. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Dora Rodriguez; three children: Jose Rodriguez, Jr. and wife, Agnes; William Rodriguez and wife, Kristin; and Joanna Rodriguez; three stepchildren: Monique Garcias; David Garcias and wife, Gloria; and John Costi; three grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters living in CA, Miguel Rodriguez, Aavraham Medina, Jr., Harry Medina, Sonia Kistner, Yolanda Harris; stepfather, Abraham Medina, Sr.; three brothers and one sister in P.R., Alberto Rodriguez, Ivan Rodriguez, Wilfredo Rodriguez and Mignora Rodriguez; one brother from Viland, Milton Rodriguez and stepmother, Juanita Gonzales Rodriguez. Viewings will be held on Friday, September 14, 2001 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, September 15, 2001 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Wimberg Funeral Home, 400 Liverpool Avenue, Egg Harbor City (609-965-0357). A Mass of Christian Remembrance will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 15, 2001 at St. Nicholas Church, 525 St. Louis Avenue, Egg Harbor City. Rogers, Moira B.

MOIRA B. ROGERS, (Nee Bruce), of Southampton, NJ went home to be with the Lord on October 1, 2007. She was 95 yrs. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she has resided in Leisuretowne for the past 25 yrs. moving there from Medford, NJ. A former Sunday School teacher and pastor's wife of the Medford Baptist Church for 39 years, she served as the church pianist. She is a present member of Shawnee Baptist Church. She attended the NJ College of Commerce and also Moody Bible College where she studied Piano. Moira is the wife of the late Rev. Walter F. Rogers and is the Loving Mother of Bruce W. and his wife Esther (Terri) of Cottonwood, AZ and Nancy Jean Bacon and her husband Michael of Medford Lakes, NJ. She is also survived by her 6 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Friday from 9:30 - 10:30 AM at the Shawnee Baptist Church, where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM. Rogers, Rev. Walter F.

REV. WALTER F. ROGERS of Leisuretown, Southampton, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 25th, 2005. He was 93 yrs. of age. Born in Atlantic City, NJ, he resided in Southampton for the past 23 yrs. moving there from Medford, NJ where he lived for 39 yrs. A graduate of the Moody Bible Institute and the Reformed Episcopal Seminary, Rev. Rogers was pastor of the 1st Baptist Church of Medford for 39 yrs. retiring in 1982. He had previously served in the Collinsville Union Church in Collinsville, MA and is a member of the Shawnee Baptist Church. He is the Beloved Husband of Moira B. (Nee Bruce) of Southampton, NJ, and the loving Father of Bruce W. and his wife Esther (Terri) of Cottonwood, AZ and Nancy Jean Bacon and her husband Michael of Medford Lakes, NJ. He is also survived by his 6 Grandchildren Heather Caldwell, Amy Kornafel, Bruce W. Rogers Jr., Linda Dail, Karen Ortiz and Keith Rogers and his 12 Great Grandchildren. Rogers, Lester

Lester Rogers age 97 of Sea Bright died Tuesday January 14, at his sons' home in Long Branch.

Born in Sea Bright, he had lived in Sea Bright with his son and daughter in law Lester and Barbara for 35 years.

He was a self-employed commercial fisherman retiring 17 years ago.

He was a member Free and Accepted Masons.

Predeceased by his wife Edna Reynolds Roger in 1973, a daughter Edna Layton in 1999, a son Lester Rogers in 2002, two grandchildren Pam and Barry.

Surviving are 2 sons and 3 daughters in law, Robert and Maria Rogers, Long Branch with whom he lived, Thomas and Barbara Rogers, Wrightowns, Barbara Rogers, West Keansburg and a son in law Charles Layton, Highlands, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Rogers, Sr., Wayne

ROGERS, on September 19, 2002, Wayne Sr. of Oaklyn. Age 64. Loving father of Linda Burke, Wayne Rogers, Jr., Cheryl 'Sherri' Rogers, David Rogers and Amy Rogers. Devoted grandfather of Michelle Endt, Michael Burke and Linda Spencer. Dear brother of Richard Rogers and Rev. Kenneth Rogers. Also survived by his former wives, Louise (nee Maguire) and Marilyn (nee Prevost) and his longtime friend, Caroline Sheppard. He is the son of the late Earl and the late Florence Rogers. Mr. Rogers was born and raised in Pennsauken and was a lifelong resident of South jersey. He retired in January 2001 as a Statistician at the Philadelphia Inquirer. ROHM, ROBERT D. ("Rube"), on November 24, 2004, of Mt. Laurel, NJ. Formerly of Westfield and Union, NJ. Robert was 62. Beloved husband of Camille (nee Messina) for 37 yrs. Loving father of Frank D. Rohm of Mt. Laurel, NJ, Kathleen M. MacConnach (Chuck) and Emily Rohm Coxon (Jim). Brother of Carl ("Skip") and Richard A. Rohm, both of Kenilworth, NJ. Grandfather of Nicolas A. Coxon, Alexander R. Coxon, and Anthony J. MacConnach. Also survived by several beloved nieces and nephews. Mr. Rohm was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was very proud to have served his country during the Vietnam War. Rohrer, Sr., Francis Joseph

Francis Joseph Rohrer, Sr., 64, a resident of Cape May County since 1977, died on Friday, October 1, 2004, at Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, and was a retired driver for Cape May County Fare Free Transportation. He was an avid casino visitor, bowler and reader.

He is survived by his son, Francis Joseph, Jr. of Marmora, NJ; two sisters, Maryann Raddenbush and Patricia Sweeney both of Philadelphia; and four grandchildren, Lauren Zachary, Dylan, and Benjamin. Services and interment are private.

on February 23, 2004, of Marlton, NJ. Resident of B'NAI B'RITH Elmwood House in Marlton, NJ. Formerly of Philadelphia. Age 80. Wife of the late Monroe Rollins. Loving sister of John Capaldi (Cecilia) of Phila., Henry Capaldi of Glassboro, NJ, Louise D'Adamo of Marlton and Mary Wisniewski (Richard) of West Chester, PA. Predeceased by her brothers: Dominick, Ernest and Tony Capaldi. Also survived by her nephews and nieces: Dominick Capaldi (Elyse), Pasquale Capaldi, Donna Rastelli (John), Lisa Sinclair (Robert) and Debbie Wisniewski. And many loving great nieces and nephews. Roman, Ann

Ann (Nee: Kessler) Roman, age 78, of Pennsauken, New Jersey, passed away on Tuesday November 6, 2001 peacefully at home surrounded by her family, to be with the lord Jesus.

She was predeceased by hr beloved husband of 38 years, Walter A. Roman, sister, Helen Crew, and lifelong dear friend Elsie LePage.

Devoted mother of, Barbara Ann Wilson and her husband Bill, and Carol Ann Russell and her husband Bruce. Also the most loved and cherished Nana of Grandchildren, Desiree DeGeorge, Michael Smith, Jade, David and Jared Russell, Star Nazareno, and Billy Marcheski; and Great Grandchildren, Joshua Michael Smith and Sarah Star Smith. She also leaves a special Niece Joan Shute and her husband Rev. Earl "Bud" Shute (who will officiate her service), along with many other loving nieces.

Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Friday November 9, 2001 from 12 noon at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Funeral Camden Home 3425 River Road Camden, New Jersey, where a service will be held at 1pm. Interment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, New Jersey.

ROMANO, Lillian K. (nee Croneberger) on January 2, 2009, of Moorestown NJ. Age 85. Beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Romano. Loving mother of Nancy and her husband, Jack Taggart, Charles Gotthardt and his wife, Mary, Joseph J. Romano Jr. and his wife, Rosalie and Peter Romano and his wife, Lauren. Dear grandmother of Kathryn Brooks, John Taggart, Melissa Whitley, Jo Ann Jackson, Jennifer Romano, Anthony Romano, Matthew Romano and Caty Romano and great grandmother of Andrea Brooks, Christopher Taggart, Morgan Whitley, Charles Whitley, George Jackson, and Olivia Jackson. She is the sister of Florence and her husband, Robert Heinly and the late Charles 'Bill' Croneberger. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and her lifelong friend, Rose Hilbert. Romano, Thomas A.

THOMAS A. ROMANO, 76, of LONG BRANCH, died Sunday, July 6, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was employed by Wheelock Signals, Long Branch, for 20 years. He was assigned various positions throughout the company through the years. He was a communicant of Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch, and Mary Help of Christian Church in New York. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Born in New York City, he lived in Long Branch for 50 years.

Surviving are a sister and brother-in-law, Lucy K. and Mario Lorenzato Sr. of Florida; and his nieces and nephew, Marilena Greig, Gabriella Ebersole, Gina Rasmussen and Mario Lorenzato Jr.

Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Damiano Funeral Home, Third and Franklin avenues, Long Branch. A funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from the funeral home, followed by an 11:30 a.m. Mass at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Long Branch. Interment will follow in Woodbine cemetery, Oceanport.

Romer, Col. Verdun P.

VERDUN P. ROMER Sr., Colonel, US Army Reserve(Ret) passed away on Thursday, July 8th, 2004 at the Newcomb Hospital in Vineland, NJ. He was 86 yrs. of age. Born in San Francisco, CA, he resided most of his life in Saratoga, CA before moving to Medford, NJ, 8 yrs. ago. He is the son of the late Robert & Mabel Romer. Verdun was a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. He was a veteran of World War II serving in Europe with the Antiaircraft and Glider Corp. After the war he joined the Army Reserve and retired with the rank of Colonel in 1976 after 35 years of service to his country. He worked in education for 28 years mainly in the Campbell High School District. He was the first Principal of Prospect High School in Saratoga, CA from 1971 until his retirement in 1980. He was also Principal at Blackford High School in San Jose, CA for 10 years prior to his moving to Prospect High. He was a long time member of the Kiwanis of Saratoga. He is the loving father of Verdun P. Romer Jr. of Saratoga, CA, John D. Romer of St. Louis, MO and Elizabeth J. Gartenmayer of Medford, NJ. He is also survived by his 4 Grandchildren, and 1 Great Grandson.. Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service on Monday, August 23, 2004 at 11:00 AM at the Arlington National cemetery in Arlington, VA where Col. Romig, Teresa Patricia

Teresa Patricia Romig, age 91 years, a longtime Avalon resident died on Monday, December 31, 2007 at her daughter's home in Cape May Court House. Born in Locust Gap, PA, she moved to Avalon coming from Silver Spring, MD. She was an active member of Maris Stella Church in Avalon as Eucharistic Minister & Ladies Altar Rosary Society and had received her LPN degree from Cape May County Technical High School in 1972. She was preceded in death by her husband William F. in October 1981, her two sons William F., Jr., and Michael J. She is survived by her son John T. of Rosario, Argentina, her three daughters; Mary Teresa Puleo of Berryville, VA, Christine M. Hanley of Cape May Court House, and Catherine M. Love of Kurtistown, Hawaii, her sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. Funeral Liturgy 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Maris Stella Church, 5012 Dune Drive, Avalon, where relatives may call after 10:00 AM. Interment at St. Mary's cemetery, Cold Spring.

Romine, Ann

ANN ROMINE, 75, of LONG BRANCH, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Monmouth Care Center, Eatontown. She was born in Cleveland.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon, in 2002. Surviving are a son, Ronald of Jackson; and a brother, Abraham Schwartz of Florida.

A graveside service will be held on Monday January 13, at 2pm in Whiteridge cemetery, Eatontown.

ROMMEL, on December 15, 2001, Anna M. (nee Schloegel) of Marlton NJ. Age 84. Beloved wife of the late Francis R. Rommel. Loving mother of Joseph P. Duffy and his wife, Rita and Patricia A. Phelan, and her husband, the late Jack Phelan, all of Marlton. Also survived by a sister, Jane Shank, 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mrs. Rommel has lived in Marlton for 46 yrs. She was employed with Smith Kline French for 25 yrs. before her retirement. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, Wildwood. Also survived by 2 grandchildren, Tyler & Mikayla and a brother, Walter John Ronczka of Paulsboro. He is a 1956 graduate of Girard College and 1972 graduate of Drexel University. A resident of Voorhees for 26 years, Joseph was a Civil Engineer for the past 20 years for URS Corp., formerly O'Brien-Kreitzberg Construction Mgmt. and Consulting Engineers. MARY ANN ROONEY-ULRICH (Nee Blackstock)of Leisuretowne, Southampton, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 23rd, 2004 at her home at the age of 68. Mary was the beloved wife of Louis J. Ulrich; dear mother of Cathy Turnes, Peggy Bass (Scott), Betty McElroy (Phil), and Eileen Harrison (Keith); loving grandmother of Patricia, Michelle, Philip, Michael, Keith, Kelly, Amanda, Lorraine, and Brian; adoring great-grandmother of P.J.; and sister of Edward and Jean. A native of West Orange, N.J. and resident of LeisureTowne for the past 12 years, Mary served as Vice President of InterCommunity Bank of W. Orange, NJ, as well as working for NatWest Bank in Voorhees, NJ and ADP in Mt. Laurel, NJ before retiring. She had a very active retirement, participating in Curtain Callers, Square Dancing, and the Breakfast Club in LeisureTowne, as well as being an avid traveler and Life Member of the Volunteer Fire Co.
