SMITH (nee Gager), On October 8, 2001, Edith E. of Marlton. Age 80. Mrs. Smith died Monday at Virtua West Jersey Hospital in Marlton. She was a Special Education Driver for Evesham Twp Board of Education for 20 years. Edith is the beloved wife of John H. Smith, Sr. for 61 years and the loving mother of John H. Smith, Jr.(Jeannette) of Indian Mills, Barbara E. Johnson of Marlton, Ray G. Smith (Pamela) of Cherry Hill, and Steven L. Smith (MaryJane) of Marlton. Devoted grandmother of 11 and great grandmother of 6.

Dear sister of Gladys Lehman of Long Beach, CA. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing 7-9pm Thursday and 10-11am Friday at the BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME, Rt 73 & Evesham RD., Marlton. (856) 983-1005. Irvin E. Kunkle

YORK - Irvin E. Kunkle, 77, of Dover, died at 3:55 a.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2000, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Dorothy P. (Herman) Kunkle.

The service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 2nd, at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 1551 Kenneth Road, York. Burial will be in Greenmount cemetery. The viewing will be 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Kunkle was born April 11, 1923, in York, PA. He was the son of the late Bruce and Nellie (Altland) Kunkle.

Mr. Kunkle was employed by Duplex Products in their maintenance department for over 20 years, retiring in 1987. Mr. Kunkle was most recently employed as a greeter for Wal-Mart at the West Manchester Mall. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in York, Shiloh American Legion – Post 791 and a life member of Hellam V.F.W. – Post 7045.

Mr. Kunkle is also survived by a son, Larry A. Kunkle of Dover; a daughter, Brenda J. Dale of York; seven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and two brothers, Harvey Kunkle of Dover and John Kunkle of York; and a sister, Catherine Gemmill of York. Mr. Kunkle was also preceded in death by a granddaughter.

Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Thomas R. Jones a retired chaplain of York Hospital.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 2997 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion, PA 17356.

Smith, H. Kay

H. Kay Smith, beloved and respected former teacher in Wildwood Crest passed away on Friday, December 7, 2001. She had been in decling health the last couple of years. She had been a resident of Wildwood Crest since 1947. Kay was a teacher all her life, having taught kindergarten through 8th grade. Her career started in Lower Township in a one room class which covered first through eighth grades. She started teaching in the Wildwood Crest Elementary School in 1947 and remained there until her retirement in June, 1972. She was a charter member of Delta Kappa Gamma since 1959 and active member until her health prevented her continuing. She attended night classses at Glassboro State Teachers College, while still teaching full time, and was graduated with a BA degree in 1962.

She was well known by most everyone in the Crest as she not only taught them, but many of their children as well.

She is survived by her loving husband, Melvin B. Smith and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 10, 2001, at 2 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ where friends may call after 1 p.m. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans cemetery, Cape May Court House, NJ.

Smith, Danielle R. Wagner

DANIELLE R. WAGNER SMITH, 56, of OCEANPORT died Sunday, March 23, at St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She was a flight attendant for TWA for 21 years retiring 10 years ago. She was a parishioner of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. Born in New York she had lived in Rumson before coming to Oceanport two years ago.

She was predeceased by her father, Joseph Wagner in 1981. Surviving are a daughter, Cydney Smith at home; her former husband, Dr. Raymond Smith of Long Branch; her mother, Ruth Littmann Wagner of Oceanport; two brothers, Daniel Wagner of Chatham, and Richard Wagner of Deerfield, Fla.; two sisters, Dawn Keator of Brick, and Darlene Walker of Oceanport; three nephews and four nieces. A memorial Mass will be offered at 11 a.m. Tuesday from St. James Church, Broad Street, Red Bank. Memorial donations are requested to The Missy Maloney Children's Fund, 38 Oneida Ave., Oceanport, NJ 07757. Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch, will be in charge of the arrangements.

Smith, Inez D.

Smith, Inez D., 87, a lifelong resident of Cape May, NJ, died on Thursday, November 8, 2001, at the Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA. She was born in Cape May, and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Cape May Court House.

She is survived by two sons: Lawrence and his wife, Diane, of Philadelphia, and Henry Smith; one daughter: Beverly Gill and her husband, Delmer, of Philadelphia; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2001 at 11:00 AM at the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Cape May Court House, Rte. 9, Mayville, where friends may call after 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Household of Ruth cemetery, Whitesboro.

Smith, Shirley L.

Shirley L. Smith, age 73 of Clermont died on Friday at her home. Born in Cape May County, Mrs Smith has been a lifetime Clermont resident. She was a member of the South Seaville United Methodist Church, the Dennis Township Seniors, the VFW Ladies Auxillary of Sea Isle City, the Ocean View Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxillary and the AARP of Cape May County.

She is survived by her husband Clarence E., Sr. Her daughter Marian Marino of Goshen. She was predeceased by her daughter Shirley Ann Schlenger. Her 3 sons Frank J. of Eldora, Clarence E., Jr. of Sea Isle City, and Richard H. of Arlington, TX. Her sister Marian Heitz of Millville. Her 3 brothers Paul Tozer of Clermont, Edwin Tozer of Eldora and Harvey Tozer of Petersburg. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House where relatives and friends may call after 10:00 AM. Interment in Calvary Baptist cemetery, Ocean View.

Smith, Cornelia J.

Cornelia J. Smith, 76, of Whitesboro, died on Monday, May 3, 2004. She was born in Oak City, NC and lived in Pleasantville prior to living in Cape May County. She was a member and organist of the First Baptist Church of Whitesboro. She also played the organ at churches in Swainton and Pleasantville. She was a retired teacher, having taught at Middle Township Schools. She was a graduate of Middle Township High School, and Morgan State College of Baltimore; attended University of Pennsylvania, West Chester Teachers College, and Glassboro (Rowan). She was a member of various teachers associations, including the Middle Township Education Association. She was also a member of the national sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, the Wee Women of Cape May County, and the Cape May County Branch of the Christian Women's Organization.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela J. Gooding and her husband, Lawrence of Atlantic City; four sisters, Mary Gripper, Margaret McRae, Miranda "Kitty" Walker, and Alice Roberson; four grandchildren, Davida Brown, John North, Natasha North and Angela North; and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 10, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Main Street, Whitesboro, where friends may call from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment in Household of Ruth cemetery.

Smith, Larry Charles Demarr

Larry Charles Demarr Smith, 53, of Wildwood, NJ, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2004. He was born in Douglass, GA, and moved here 30 years ago. He is survived by his children: Lisa Maxey of Whitesboro, NJ, Michael Jones of Pleasantville, NJ, and Lawrence Schaffer of Vineland, NJ; father: Earlie Smith of Wildwood; mother: Lurine Smith of Douglas, GA; grandmother: Charley Hawkins; brothers and sisters: Jerry Hawkins, Morgan Smith, Glory Jean Smith, Ronald Smith, Ernest Wilson, Diane Wilson, Billy Ray Smith, Emmaline Wilson, Ethel Smith, Jonathan "Stumpy" Wilson, and Alicia Wilson; and thirteen grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 9, 2004, at 11:00 AM at Eureka Baptist Church, Wildwood, NJ, where friends may call after 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Lax cemetery, Atkinson Co., GA.

Smith, Joan A.

Joan A. Smith, 65, of Woodbine, died on Sunday, November 24, 2002 at her home. She was born in Trenton and moved here in 1980 from Trenton. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Woodbine.

She is survived by her husband, Phillip; her son, Kevin Earl Jackson of Seattle, WA; her step son, Phillip Mitchell of Woodbine; her step daughter, Jackie Fitzpatrick of Cape May Court House; her two brothers, Lawrence Jackson of New York, and Donald Jackson of Burlington, NJ; her two sisters, Frances Campbell and Rosalie Smyth, both of Willingboro; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Anthony Jackson and Tyrone Jackson; stepson, Rickie Toney; brother, George Green; and two sisters, Phyllis Jackson and Alice Jackson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Horne's Temple First Born Church of the Living God, 315 Washington Avenue, Woodbine, where relatives and friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Woodbine cemetery.

Smith, Todd T.

Todd T. Smith, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 19, 2002 at his home in Garland, Texas. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Mr. Smith has resided in Garland, Texas for the past year moving there from California. He was employed by Brinker Inc. in Dallas, Texas as a Buyer for the company. He is the son of the late Verne and Sarah (Nee Sawyer) Smith. He is survived by his brother Mark Smith and his wife Eileen of Medford, NJ and also two nephews. Smith, Clifford

Clifford Smith, 74, of Whitesboro, NJ, died on Saturday, February 14, 2004, at the Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 23, 1939, to Deacon Collin and Viola Dwight Smith. He attended Whitesboro Grammar School, Middle Twp. Schools and later Atlantic County Vo-Tech. He was a cook and retired from the NJ Dept. of Transportation as a yard engineer. He was a member of the Hope Pentecostal Independent Church where he sang with the Saddler Special for many years.

He is survived by his former wife, Lois; his children: Ronald Hamer; Byron Landon and wife, Michelle and Chris Landon and wife, Christina; Maxine who he rasied and an adopted son: Scotty Mohummond; two brothers: William and wife, Ruth; Bennie and wife, Barbara; four sisters: Dorothy Jackson; Mamie Smith; Evelyn Bailey and Ruby Saddler and husband, Elder Mose Saddler, Jr.; a sister-in-law, Thresa Smith and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Henry and a sister, Annabelle Void.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2004, at Noon at the New Hope Pentecostal Independent Church, 460 Shunpike Road, Cape May Court House, NJ 8210. Interment is private in Mount Olive cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to the Church.

Smith, Sr. John H. on Oct. 3, 2002 of Marlton age 84 husband of the late Edith nee Gager and survived by John H. Jr. (Jeannette) of Indian Mills, Barbara E. Johnson of Marlton, Ray (Pamela) Smith of Cherry Hill, Steven L. (MaryJane) Smith of Marlton and his loving 11 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law Lillian Smith of Palmyra. Mr. Smith was a retired supervisor for SKF of Phila. For 32 yrs. Retiring in 1971, he formerly operated the Cherokee Exxon, and recently was employed by the Deerberry Flower Shoppe as a driver, a longtime member and officer of the Marlton First Aid Squad, past president and founding member of the Marlton Recreation Council, President & Founder of the Foxy Gunning Club, Past President of the Cherry Hill Industrial Bowling League. John was an avid gardener and outdoorsman. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Sun 7-9PM and Monday 10:30-11:30 AM at the Bradley Funeral Home Rt. 73 & Evesham Rd. Mary Lucille Snyder (nee Golden) of Cherry Hill, NJ age 51 years. Died suddenly on 9/1/01 at JFK Hospital Cherry Hill Division, Cherry Hill, NJ. Beloved wife of the late William. Dear daughter of Rose (nee Panella) and the late Robert Golden.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Mrs. Snyder was a longtime resident of Cherry Hill, NJ. Mrs. Snyder was a Special Education Assistant at Johnson School in Cherry Hill, NJ.

Snyder, Stephani L.

SNYDER on Thursday, January 31, 2002 Stefani L. of Medford, NJ went home to be with the Lord at the Childrens Hospital in Phila., PA. She was 18 yrs. of age. Born in Washington Twp., NJ, she has resided in Medford, NJ most of her life. A 2001 Graduate of Shawnee High School in Medford, NJ, where she was involved in DECA. She was a member of the Fellowship Alliance Chapel in Medford, NJ. Stefani fought a courageous battle with Leukemia thanks to her faith, her family and her friends. She is the beloved daughter of B. Brian and Mari Lynne (Nee Burnham) Snyder of Medford, NJ and the loving sister of B.J., Melani and Richie Snyder all at home. She is also survived by her Paternal Grandparents Jon & Helen Snyder of Hammonton, NJ, her Maternal Grandparents Lee & Glenda Burnham of N. Platte, NE, her Maternal Great Grandmother Mary Belle Rogers of N. Platte, NE and many aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends. Soard, H. Franklin

H. Frank Soard, age 81 yrs., of Friendsville, TN, formerly of Oak Ridge, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 14, 2002 at U.T. Hospital in Knoxville, TN. Born in Morristown, TN, he was a graduate of Morristown H.S. and attended U.T., where he played football, Brown University and the University of Iowa. He was inducted in 1984 into the Tennessee Swimming Hall of Fame for his service to Southeastern swimming and his invention of the first automatic judging-timing machine. A Veteran of the Navy he served during WWII as a fighter pilot flying an F-4. He worked for 38 yrs. as an Chemical Specialist for the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, TN until his retirement in 1986. He is a member of the Monte Vista Baptist Church in Maryville, TN, the American Legion Post 2000 of Nashville, TN and the AARP. He was preceded in death by his first wife Janis (Nee Ziesing) Soard and his sister Velma Johnson. He is the beloved husband of Sarah M. (Nee Hiittner) Stow-Soard of Friendsville, TN and loving father of Judy Roy and her husband Eddy of Knoxville, TN and Karen Rule and her husband David of Maryville, TN, Step-Father of David & Lynn Stow of Medford, NJ, Donald & Bonnie Stow of Atco, NJ and Dean Stow of Atco, NJ. SODANO, JEAN ANN (nee Giraffo)

On 8/23/2002, of Cherry Hill, NJ; age 70 years.

Beloved wife of Nicholas Jr. for 52 years. Devoted mother of Verna J. Sodano-Richards and Nicholas III; Loving grandmother of Steven and Michael Plummer; Dear sister of Rose Bua, Rita Corea and Angelo Giraffo.

Mrs. Sodano was born in Hammonton, NJ and a resident of Cherry Hill, NJ since 1981 and prior to that lived in Camden, NJ from 1957-1981. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Sodano worked as a bookkeeper for the City of Camden for over 25 years.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Wednesday, August 28, 2002 from 9:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Stephen, 6300 Browning Road in Pennsauken. Interment will take place at Colestown cemetery in Cherry Hill, NJ. Sokorai, George W.

George W. Sokorai, 86, of Seaville, died on Sunday, November 25, 2001, at his home. Born in Manayunk, PA, he had lived here since 1965 after moving from Philadelphia. He was a policeman for the City of Philadelphia for 23 years. He was a member of the Church of the Resurrection in Marmora, the P.B.A. of Philadelphia, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, the Mature Adults, and the F.O.P. Lodge #5. He was an avid dancer.

Mr. Sokorai is survived by his wife, Mary Rose; his children, George W. Jr. and his wife, Lorraine, of Mantua, Robert J. and his wife, Terry, of Ada, MI, Richard C. and his wife, Carol, Eleanor Marie Buenaflor and her husband, Anthony, of the Mayfair section of Philadelphia, and Edward and his wife, Mary, of Cape May Court House; fourteen grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Funeral Liturgy will be said on Thursday, November 29, at 12 noon at the Church of the Resurrection, Tuckahoe Road, Marmora, where relatives and friends may call after 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Cold Spring. Donations may be made in memory of George to the Church of the Resurrection Building Fund - Capital Campaign, P.O. Box 549, Marmora, NJ 08223.
