Sterner, Ella D.

Sterner, Ella "Scotty" D., 88, of Cape May Court House, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2003 at the Lutheran Home of Ocean View. Born in Cleveland, OH to the late Edward and Della (Curnow) Helmetag, she summered here all of her life. She lived in Pitman before moving to Florida in 1982 and returned here in May 2003. She enjoyed arts and crafts, especially quilting.

She is survived by her children, Frank Sterner of Turnersville, Barbara Aschenbrenner of Centerville, OH, and Lynne Focht of South Dennis; her brothers, William and Edward Helmetag of Ft. Myers, FL; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Sterner in 1985.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Avalon, 34th Street and Dune Drive. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Redeemer Visiting Nurse Agency, 1801 Route 9 North, Swainton, NJ 08210.

Stetler, Geraldine T.

Geraldine T. Stetler, 63, of Cape May Court House, died on Friday, June 7, 2002 at her home. She was born in Philadelphia and lived here since 1977. She was an accountant having worked at the Wildwood Bowl. She was past Senior Regent of the Women of the Moose of Wildwood; she was a founder of the Bridge Club at the Senior Center of Middle Township; a member of the Avalon Bridge Club; served as a Den Mother for the Boy Scouts; and was active in Senior Social Events of Middle Township including the Wildwood Convention Center.

She is survived by her husband, James C.; these children: Geraldine P. Horner of Wildwood; Arlene M. Yagecis of Seminole, FL; James M. Horner of Cape May Court House; David A. Horner of Wildwood Crest; Jennifer L. Ashbridge of Villas; Nicole Purdy of Rio Grande; and Jeffrey C. Stetler of Pocono Summit, PA; twenty two grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and her aunt and godmother, Geraldine McCauley of Philadelphia.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House where friends may call on Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the New Asbury Methodist cemetery, Swainton. Memorials may be made to the Children's Hospital, 34th Street and Civic Center Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19104 or Moosehart, Inc., c/o Moose International, Moosehart, IL 60859.

Stevenson, Norma

STEVENSON, Norma Willis of Cherry Hill, NJ, age 75, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2004. For 54 years, beloved wife and "Zobie" of Robert "Steve" Stevenson. Devoted and adored mother to Bob, Jr. of Ambler, Pennsylvania, Jim of Orlando, Florida, and Susan Borowitz of Harrison, New York. Loving grandmother to Alexandra, Kelly, Garrett and Max. Also survived by her dear sister Carol A. Yingst-Reis of Tampa, Florida.

A graduate of Collingswood High School and The Philadelphia College of Art, where she met her husband, Mrs. Stevenson was an active member of the PTA and arts and crafts counselor to the Girl Scouts when her children were young. A talented artist, she worked as both an art teacher and frrlancer at various times in her life. She also enjoyed fossil hunting, sewing, cooking and was an avid lover of wildlife. A voracious reader, she spent much of her free time studying history and mythology and writing short stories. She will be greatly missed and always remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother who devoted herself to creating a wonderful life for her family.

Cremation will be private. As an expression of sympathy, the family suggests memorial donations to the World Wildlife Fund. Arrangements by Bradley Funeral Home, Marlton.

STINSMAN, Emma M. (nee Rooney)

On 7/29/2002, in her 80th year. Of East Pennsauken, NJ for over 50 years.

Mrs. Stinsman was a loving homemaker, dedicated to her family.

Beloved wife of the late, Richard H. Sr.; Devoted mother of, Emma M. VanArsdale, Richard H. Jr., LeRoy J. Sr., and Daniel E. Sr. Stinsman; Loving grandmother of 8 & great grandmother of 9.

Stockman, Helen F.

Helen F. Stockman (nee Hennessy), 85, of Philadelphia, PA on 11/21/01. Beloved wife of the late Samuel. Devoted mother to Robert F. of VA, and Donald S. Stockman of FL and the late Carol Sadowy. Loving grandmother to 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Catherine Bernhardt and Margaret Heath both of Philadelphia. Memorial Mass 10AM Saturday at Christ Church, 2nd Street above Market St., Philadelphia. Arrangements by BELL-HENNESSY FUNERAL HOME, Williamstown, NJ. Stokes, John F.

John Francis Stokes, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2002 at the Kingston Nursing Center in Conway, SC. He was 88 yrs. of age. Born in Phila., PA, he resided in Myrtle Beach, SC for the past 12 years moving there from Medford, NJ where he resided for 15 years. A retired Custodian for the Evesham Twp. Public Schools in Marlton, NJ, he had previously been a Truck Driver for Elgin Trucking in Phila, Pa. and was a Machinist for Crown, Cork and Seal in Phila., PA. A WWII Veteran he served with the US Army and the US Navy. He is the husband of the late Florence (nee Baumgardner) Stokes and the late Anna (nee Mazurak) Stokes. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Rosemary and Benjamin Serafine of Medford, NJ, his Grandchildren Lisa Silvestro of Medford, NJ, Brian Serafine of Tabernacle, NJ and Nicole Stokes of Medford, NJ and also 3 brothers, 5 sisters and 3 Great Grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements by the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Rd. (Rt. 541) Medford, NJ, 609-953-7600. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Stone, Michael R.

MICHAEL R. STONE went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 20th, 2003 at his home in Medford, NJ. He was 33 yrs. of age. Born in Camden, NJ, he grew up in Shamong, NJ and has resided in Medford for the past year moving here from CA. An Auto Mechanic he worked for Leisure World Auto Repairs in Laguna Hills, CA. A graduate of Shawnee High School in Medford, NJ with the Class of 1988, he served in the US Marine Corp Air Wing from 1988 until 1994 and was a veteran of Dessert Storm. He is the beloved son of Ralph E. and Isabelle Y. (Nee Thomson) Stone of Medford, NJ and the loving father of Jacob M. Stone and Andrea C. Boyd both of Diamond Bar, CA. He is also survived by his sisters Michele R. Stow and her husband Ken of Cherry Hill, NJ, Cindy A. and Kari B. Stone both of Medford, NJ, his Paternal Grandmother Mary Stone of Mt. Ephraim, NJ and his Maternal Grandmother Emma Thomson of Swainton, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday from 7:00 - 9:00 PM and on Wednesday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the BRADLEY & STOW FUNERAL HOME 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Rd. Medford, NJ, (609-953-7600), where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the B.G. Wm. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cem. in Arneytown, NJ. Stott, Elsie

Elsie Stott, 66, of Williamstown died Monday at home. Born in Hammonton Elsie was a lifelong resident of Williamstown. She was a school bus driver having worked at STA in Williamstown.

She is predeceased by her husbands, William Muller and Roy Stott. She is survived by her daughter, Denise Crisanti; sons William Jr., Richard, David, John and Edmund Muller; sister, Laura Owens; brothers Jimmy, Robert and Ed Morris and 8 grandchildren.

Services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Hennessy Funeral Home, Williamstown.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Trinity Hospice, 150 9th Ave., Runnemede, NJ 08078

Stratman, Charles E.

STRATMAN, on January 11, 2003, Charles E. of Medford NJ. Age 78. He is survived by his daughter, Kim and her husband, Bill Wieland of Heeney CO, a grandson, Jaime Stratman and a great grandson, C.J. of Mabelvale, Arkansas and his long time companion, Fran Bush of Saline, Michigan. Son of the late William and the late Helen Stratman, father of the late Jim Stratman and brother of the late Robert Stratman. Mr. Stratman was born in Crab Orchard NE, graduated from Tecumseh High School, Tecumseh NE, attended Iowa State University and served in the US NAVY during WWII. In 1989, he retired from Campbell's Soup Co. after 46 years of service. Following retirement, he continued to reside in Medford on the 11th hole of the Medford Village Golf Course where he was a member. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, York Rite and Shrine. Funeral services will be held Saturday 10:30am in Tecumseh NE (Wherry Brothers Mortuary). Burial in Tecumseh cemetery, Tecumseh NE. Donations may be made in Charles' memory to the charity of your choice.

Straubmuller, Sr., Richard C.

Richard C. Straubmuller, Sr., 65, of Upper Township, NJ, died on Wednesday in the Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point. Born in Philadelphia, he has lived here for the past 30 years coming from Linwood. He was a member of the NJ Sheetmetal Workers Union, active in the Sea Scouts, and was in the Navy for 4 years during peace time. He was an estimator/draftsman for the Hugh Stockton Mechanical in Northfield.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; sons: Richard C., Jr. and wife Faith, John and wife Bobbi, and Jimmy; and brother: George and wife Bette of Millville.

Funeral Service Monday at 11:00 AM at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Av., Cape May Court House, where relatives and friends may call after 10:00 AM. Interment in Seaside cemetery, Palermo. Memorials to Shore Memorial Hospital Dialysis Unit or the Belleplain Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

Strauss, Stanley

Stanley Strauss, died on Monday, Aug. 19, 2002, at the Eastern Shore Nursing Home, Cape May Court House. He was born in Birdsboro, PA. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II, and was employed by the US Navy before retirement.

He is survived by his daughter, Maryann Fasanella of Bordentown. Graveside services will be on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002, at 10:00 AM at Holy Redeemer cemetery, Richmond St., Philadelphia, PA.

Street, Margaret Grier

Margaret Grier Street, 94, of Wiley Village, Marlton, formerly of Vincentown, NJ and Glenside, PA, died September 25, 2001. She was a graduate of Glassboro Normal School and had been employed by Campbell Soup as their first receptionist.

She had also been employed in the actuary department of Penn Mutual Insurance Company. She was a member of Oak Grove Presbyterian Church in Tabernacle, of the William Penn Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and of the Colonial Dames.

She was the widow of Carol J. Street. Surviving her are two sons, Richard J. of Ormond Beach, FL and Andrew G. of Gulph Mills, PA, and a daughter, Sarah Jean Cross of Camp Hill, PA. She is also survived by two grandsons. Internment will be private and directed by the Bradley Funeral Home, Marlton NJ 856-983-1005.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the church or charity of your choice.

STROMBERG, LUCILLE (nee McMahon)

On 9/2/2002, of Cherry Hill, NJ; age 87 years.

Beloved wife of of the late, Matthias; Devoted mother of, Michael and his wife, Jean and Matthew and his wife, Christine; Loving grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 1 great grandson; Also survived by 5 brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Stromberg was a legal secretary for many years and also active in many Civic organizations.

Relatives and Friends are invited to the Visitation on Thursday from 9:45 AM at the Church of Our Lady of Grace, White Horse Pike, Somerdale, NJ; where there will be a Mass of Christian celebrated at 11 AM. Interment Calvary cemetery, Cherry Hill. In lieu of flowers family requests memorial donations to the charity of the donors choice.

Struett, Carl J.

Carl J. Struett, 75, of Swainton, died on Thursday, December 13, 2001 at his home. Born in Philadelphia, he lived here since 1987 after moving from the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a salesman for Tony's Tidewater in Wildwood. He was a member of the Sea Isle City VFW Post 1963 and of Our Lady of the Angels Church.

Mr. Struett is survived by his wife, Ann H; his daughters, Eleanor, Carol, Patricia, and Joann; and his grandsons, Michael, Matthew, and Christopher. He was preceded in death by his son, Carl J. Struett, Jr. in 1978.

Funeral Liturgy will be said on Monday, December 17 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 4308 Landis Avenue, Sea Isle City, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in George Washington Memorial Park, Butler Pike and Stenton Avenue, Plymouth Meeting, PA. Memorial donations may be made in his name to St. Joseph's Church, 4308 Landis Avenue, Sea Isle City, NJ 08243.

Stussy, Henry F.

STUSSY, on December 9, 2002, HENRY F. of Marlton, NJ. Born in Philadelphia. Formerly of Camden, NJ. Age 87. Beloved husband of Marion (nee Mahoney). Loving father of Robert and his wife Lynn of Pennsville, NJ, Gerald and his wife Barbara of Broomall, PA, and Diane Doss and her husband Richard of Alabama. Also survived by his 2 sisters, Theresa Cuneo of Westmont and Helen Hornyak of Waretown, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Mr. Stussy was a Merchant Marine and also a Veteran of the US Navy, Served during WWII. He was in the North Atlantic Fleet in the African Coast. He was an avid golfer, a member of AARP, and a contributing member of East Camden Marauder’s Boys Club. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Thursday from 7:00-9:00 PM and Friday from 8:30-9:30 AM a the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will 10:00 AM Friday at St. Joan of Arc Church, Willow Bend Rd., Marlton. Burial in Brig. General William C. Doyle Veteran’s cemetery, Arneytown, NJ. Sullender, Edward D.

SULLENDER, on November 15, 2001, Edward D. of Mt Laurel NJ, formerly of Pennsauken. Age 83.

Beloved husband of Mae Sullender (nee Wenke). Also survived by Catherine S. Dori and Dae S. Medman and many loving nieces and nephews.

He is the son of the late Charles H. Sullender and the late Catherine Barr Sullender. He was a 1936 graduate of Moorestown High School and a 1958 graduate of Temple University.

He enlisted in the US Army AirCorps in 1941 and served for 4 years.

A Retired Systems Analyst, Mr. Sullender was employed with the US Navy, General Stores Supply Officer, Northeast Philadelphia and US Naval Supply Systems Command in Washington DC, retiring in 1973 after 26 years of service.

Relatives and friends are invited tot he viewing on Tuesday from 9:30-11:00am where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am at the Bradley Funeral Home Rt. 73 and Evesham Rd. Marlton NJ (856) 983-1005. Interment
