Francis B. Klemka

Francis B. Klemka, 72, of Phillipsburg, died Friday, May 2, 2003 in Easton Hospital.

He was a maintenance worker on the drill floor at Ingersoll-Rand Co., Phillipsburg for twenty-nine years, retiring in 1981. He later worked as a driver for the Warren County Nutrition program for four years, retiring in 1995.

Born August 26, 1930 in Phillipsburg, he was the son of the late Leo F. and Ella Powers Klemka.

He was a private first class in the Army during the Korean Conflict and was awarded the Korean Service Medal with four battle stars.

He was a NASCAR racing fan and enjoyed doing furniture repairs.

His wife , the former Alice A. Barr died August 31, 2001.

He is survived by five sons, David F., Mark D. and Charles J., all of Phillipsburg, Glenn J. of Nazareth, and Jerry T.C. of Easton; a daughter Cindy G. of Phillipsburg; four brothers, Edward of Easton, James and Thomas of Lehighton and Jack of Daytona, Fla.; a sister, Marie of Bangor; eighteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A brother Leo J. died earlier.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg, with the Rev. Glenn Waskow, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church presiding. Burial will be in the Phillipsburg cemetery , Phillipsburg. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Warren County Nutrition Program, sent in care of the funeral home.

James P. Koelle "Phil"
James P. "Phil" Koelle of Hummelstown, PA, died August 4, 1999 in IHS of the Hershey Woodlands of Hershey, PA.

He was a project manager and construction manager for Victaulic of America.

He attended the Holy Name Catholic Church in Lower Paxton Township, PA.

He was an Army veteran having served during World War Two.

Survivors include his wife, the former June Rak, a daughter Kim Snyder of Easton; two sisters, Mary Jane McKeown of Geneseo, NY and Juliette Shelly of Forest Grove, Pa. and two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:45 a.m. Saturday, August 14, 1999 in St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church, 426 S Main St., Phillipsburg. Entombment of the cremated remains will take place in Holy Apostle's Mausoleum, Greenwich Twp. NJ. The Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S Main St., Phillipsburg is handling the arrangements.

The family requests memorial contributions to the Father Flannigan Boys Home, Boys Town Center, Boys Town, NE 68010.

Martha B. Kohms

Martha B. Kohms, 83, of Phillipsburg, formerly of Irvington, NJ, died Wednesday, April 15, 1998 in Easton Hospital, Wilson Boro, PA.

She was an Administrative Assistant for the U.S District Attorney's Office in Newark, NJ for more than twenty-five years.

Born February 22, 1915 in Newark, she was the daughter of the late William and Bertha Stephan Kohms.

She was of the Lutheran faith.

She is survived by a niece, Patricia Ketchum, with whom she resided and several other nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Fred and William and two sisters, Margaret Mack and Rose Vogel all died earlier.

Funeral services will be held 8:00 p.m. Friday evening in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg, NJ. Calling hours will be held from 6:00 p.m. until time of services Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ

The family requests memorial contributions to Prevent Blindness America, 500 E. Remington Rd., Schaumberg, ILL 60173-5624.

Dennis P. Kolakowski

Dennis P. Kolakowski, 60, of Pohatcong Twp. died Sunday, December 2, 2007 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, PA.

Born: September 15, 1947 in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of Victoria Buraszewski Kolakowski and the late Henry Kolakowski.

Personal: Dennis and his wife, Carole, were married February 15, 1992. He was employed as a filler for 25 years at GT&S in Fairless Hills, PA. Dennis was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He was a coach for his grandson Matt's Pohatcong baseball team and had previously been an assistant coach in the Pohatcong Warriors football program. Dennis was known to many as Coach K and affectionately referred to as Poppy by his grandchildren. Poppy was the best imaginable grandfather and absolutely adored by his grandchildren; Matt, Erin & Sara. He enjoyed music, dancing and telling a good joke. He was also an avid sports fan following the NY Giants, Rutgers Scarlet Knights, Phillipsburg Stateliners and the Mets.

Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Carole and his mother; a daughter Laura Reper of Pohatcong Twp.; three grandchildren; Matt, Erin, Sara; a sister, Donna Mannes of Freehold; mother-in-law, Margaret Jones of Pohatcong Twp.; niece Becky Margarites and her husband, Dean of Matawan and two great-nieces, Sara and Anna.

Services: The family invites all friends and their families to a memorial service to celebrate Den's life on Saturday, December 8, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Alpha Firehouse in Alpha, NJ. In memory of Coach K, the family is requesting his team players wear Pohatcong shirts.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider donations to the Phillipsburg Emergency Squad, P.O. Box 215, Phillipsburg, NJ, 08865.

Herman W. Koppelman, Jr.

Herman W. Koppelman, Jr., 83, of Plainfield Twp., (Nazareth), Pa., formerly of Columbus, N.J. and Mansfield Twp. N.J, died Tuesday, February 22, 2005 in Easton Hosptial.

Born April 25, 1921 in Orange, NJ, he was a son of the late Herman W. Sr., and Mary Koppelman.

He was an instrument and tool maker in the Integrated Circuit Process Department of Bell Labs in Murray Hill, NJ. He retired in 1983 after 38 years of service.

He was an Army veteran.

He is survived by three nieces, Carol A. McKenna of Plainfiled Twp., Pa., Debra Hargreaves of Raleigh, N.C., Joanne Zellman of Lebanon Twp., N.J.,. His wife, the former Rita Schultz and a son, Kenneth both died in 1995.

Graveside services will be 11am Thursday in Restland Memorial Park, E. Hanover, NJ. The Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S Main St., Phillipsburg, NJ.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice.

Anne P. Kozare

Anne P. Kozare, 84, of South Plainfield, NJ, formerly of Alpha, died Tuesday, July 13, 1999, in J.F.K. Medical Center in Edison, NJ.

She was the secretary to the first principal of St. Philip and St. James School in Phillipsburg many years ago.

Born July 28, 1914 in Alpha, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Horvath Kozare.

She is survived by three sisters, Agnes Drosdick of Pohatcong Twp, Julia Conover of Napersville, Ill and Mary Helene Curtis of Bath. A brother, William J. Kozare and a sister, Ethel Bartha died earlier.

A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated 9:45 a.m. Saturday in St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church, 426 South Main St., Phillipsburg. There will be no calling hours. Private cremation will be held at the convenience of the family and the cremated remains will be buried in St. Mary's cemetery , Alpha, NJ.

The family requests memorial contributions to the Joseph H. Firth Youth Center, 108 Anderson St., Phillipsburg, NJ 08865.

The Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg is handling the arrangements.

William J. Kozare

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church, 426 South Main St., Phillipsburg for William J. Kozare, 77, of Phillipsburg, formerly of Alpha, who died Thursday, December 18, 1997 in his home. A calling hour will be held 8:00 a.m. until time of services Tuesday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery , Alpha.

Anna M. Kramer

Anna M. Kramer, 82, of Phillipsburg, died Wednesday, February 18, 2004 in Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg.

She was a machine operator at the former Brockway Plastics, now Owens-Illinois in Belvidere, N.J.

Born March 31, 1921 in Easton, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Alice Weaver Allen.

She was a former member of Grace Lutheran Church, Phillipsburg.

She was a member of the Cheerful Singles of Grace Lutheran Church, Phillipsburg and the Easton Senior Center.

Her husband, the late William H. Kramer, Sr. died in 1988.

Survivors include a son, Allen L. of Phillipsburg; two daughters, Sarah Bell of Phillipsburg and Cheryl Tolbert of Newport News, Va.; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A son, William H., Jr. died in 2000.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg. A calling hour will be held from 1:00 p.m. Saturday until time of services in the funeral home. Burial will be at Noon, Monday in the Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Phillipsburg Fire Department or the Phillipsburg Emergency Squad, in care of the funeral.

William H. Kramer Jr.

William H. Kramer Jr., 47, of New Oxford, Adams County, Pa, formerly of Phillipsburg, N.J. and Allentown, Pa., died Sunday, Oct. 29, in Reading Township, Adams County, Pa, as a result of an automobile accident.

Born June 12, 1953 in Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Anna M. Allen Kramer and the late William H. Kramer Sr.

He was employed by Herculite Products, Emigsville.

He is survived by his wife, the former Robin A. Weaver; a daughter, Ashley A., and a son, Justin R. W., both at home; two sisters, Sarah Bell of Phillipsburg, N.J. and Cheryl Tolbert of Circle Pines, Minn.; a brother, Allen Kramer of Phillipsburg, N.J.; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, at the Northampton Memorial Shrine in Palmer Twp. Rev. William O. Slack, II, pastor of the River of Life Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Phillipsburg will be the officiant for the services. There will be no viewing.

Feiser Funeral Home, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, is in charge of the arrangements in New Oxford and the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S Main St., Phillipsburg is in charge of the arrangements for the interment services.

Barry Kron

Barry Kron, 63, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 2, 2008. Born in Trenton, he grew up there before moving to Fredericksburg. He then moved to Hamilton Square in 1977 before most recently residing in Bethlehem, PA.

Barry attended Rider College in Lawrenceville. He began his career as an accountant for American Porcelain, Piscataway before he worked for the New Jersey Division of Law and Public Safety as a Systems Analyst, retiring in 2003.

He enjoyed the outdoors, the ocean, boating and bicycling. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be sadly missed by his family friends and all who knew him.

He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Veronica Kron.

Surviving are his wife of thirty-six years, Della Ruggini Kron; two sons, Kenneth Kron and wife Daisy of Forks Township, PA and Christopher Kron and wife Tara of Sewell, NJ; four grandchildren, Zachary, Mason, Kira and Gabriella Kron; a brother Kurt Kron of Montvale, NJ and several cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2008 in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem, PA, followed by interment in Greenwood cemetery , Trenton. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until time of Mass in the church Saturday.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Heart Association.

Victoria M. Pugliese Krosincky

Victoria M. Pugliese Krosincky, 92, of Phillipsburg, died Tuesday, January 22, 2002 in her home.

She worked for the Standard Silk Mill in Phillipsburg and was a seamstress for Bender Brothers and Easton Trousers, both formerly of Easton.

Born June 19, 1909 in Phillipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Nicodemo and Maria Bisolo Pugliese.

She was a member of St. Philip and St. James Roman Catholic Church, Phillipsburg.

She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Warren 389; Over Fifties Club of St. Philip and St. James Church; St. Mary's Golden Age Club, Alpha; St. Anthony's HEAD Golden Age Club, Easton; Friendly Club of Grace Lutheran Church, Phillipsburg; Italian-American Social Club, Phillipsburg; Jersey Hose Ladies Auxiliary, Phillipsburg and was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Warren Chemical Fire Co. of Phillipsburg. She was also a member of the Pearl Harbor Survivor's Assocation.

Her husband, Joseph Krosincky died in 1967.

Survivors include her son, Nicholas J. Pugliese of Phillipsburg; three brothers, Samuel of Wyomissing, Pa., Joseph of Palmer Twp., Pa., and Nicholas J. of Forks Twp., Pa.; five grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. A brother, Anthony and three sisters, Angelina Bianca, Frances Rodeo and Millie Pugliese all died earlier.

Funeral services will begin at 9:00 a.m. Friday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church, 426 South Main St., Phillipsburg. Entombment will be in Holy Apostle's Mausoleum, Greenwich Twp., NJ. Calling hours will be 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Sondra Lander

Sondra Lander, 58, of Phillipsburg, died Wednesday, December 18, 1996 in Warren Hospital.

She was associated with Alternatives, Inc. of Phillipsburg.

Born August 17, 1938 in Easton, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Lola Quick Shoemaker.

She attended the River of Life Presbyterian Church, Phillipsburg.

She is survived by two sons, William of Phillipsburg and Kevin of Hackettstown; one brother, Harold M. Shoemaker of Clinton; one sister, Paula Fazekas of Phillipsburg and one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 P.M. Friday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg. Burial will be in the Greenwich cemetery , Greenwich Twp. A calling hour will be held from 12:30 P.M. until time of services in the funeral home on Friday .

Andrew P. Lantosh, Sr.

Andrew P. Lantosh, Sr., 77, of Phillipsburg, died Wednesday, January 24, 1996 in Warren Hospital.

He retired as a shop Stewart with the Heavy and General Laborer's Union of New Jersey, Locals 472 and 172 in Newark, NJ. He had also worked for the Asbury Graphite Co. As a machine operator.

Born May 13, 1918 in Lansford, PA, he was the son of the late Anthony and Eva Podrasky Lantosh.

He was of the Catholic faith.

His first wife, the former Helen Penyak died in 1978. Survivors include his wife, the former Margaret M. Sabo; one son, Martin of Albuquerque, NM; one daughter Helen Gordon of Phillipsburg and one sister, Helen Lantosh of Brooklyn, NY; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A son, Andrew P. Lantosh, Jr. died earlier.

Funeral services will be private. Burial will also be private in the Easton cemetery , Easton, PA.

The Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 So. Main St. Phillipsburg, is in charge of arrangements.

Allen Robert LaValley

Allen Robert "Big Al" LaValley, 35, of Independence Twp, N.J, died Tues., Oct., 7, 2003.

Born September 8, 1968, in Boonton, N.J., he was the son of Carol LaValley Stephanus.

He attended Montville Township High School where he played football.

Allen was a machine operator at Holland Manufacturing, Roxbury Twp, N.J. He formerly worked as a mechanic for the service department at the Roxbury Sunoco in Roxbury Twp.

He is survived by two uncles, Victor G. LaValley of Spring Hill, FL and John LaValley of Panama City, FL, an aunt, Janet LaValley of Panama City, FL and several cousins.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 25, 2003 in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, NJ.
