Yolanda I. Lawler

Yolanda Italia Lawler, 81, of Clymer Village, Lopatcong Twp., died Tuesday, November 23, 2004 in Warren Hospital.

She was an assembler, formerly working at Magnetic Windings, Palmer Twp. and New York Transformer, Alpha. She had also been a clerk at the former 5&10 in Phillipsburg.

Born February 8, 1923 in Chester, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Paul and Theresa Paglia Castiglia.

She was a member of St. Philip and St. James Roman Catholic Church, Phillipsburg.

She enjoyed playing bingo and was a member of both the Singles Club and the Friendly Club of Phillipsburg.

Her husband, the late James K. Lawler, Sr., died in 1981.

Survivors include a son, Dennis M. and his wife Susan A. of Alpha; three sisters, Jessie Bercaw of Harmony Twp., Mildred Y. Squarcia of Wilson Borough and Fior Vernon of Elverson, Pa. and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Paul R. and Eugene R. and three sisters, Flora Castiglia, Marie Unger and Josephine Lisinichia.

Services will begin 9:00 a.m. Monday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Monday in the church, 426 South Main St., Phillipsburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery , Greenwich Twp. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Anita LeDuc

Anita LeDuc, 71, of Phillipsburg, died Wednesday, January 26, 1994 in Warren Hospital.

Born May 22, 1922 in Valleyfield, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Eloi and Rose LeFleur Desjarden.

She and her husband, Sylvio D. LeDuc, observed their fifty-second wedding anniversary on Tuesday.

She was of the Catholic faith.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Michael J. and Serge, both of Phillipsburg and Jaean Claude of Valleyfield, Quebec, Canada; a daughter, Diane LeDuc of Valleyfield; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; four sisters, Germain Robenault, Englemd Haenault, Cecile Daust and Theresa, all of Valleyfield.

Services will be held 9:45 a.m. Saturday from the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church, 462 South Main St, Phillipsburg. Private cremation will follow the Mass. Calling hours will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

Sylvio LeDuc

Sylvio D. LeDuc, 78, of Phillipsburg, died Friday, August 4, 2000 in Personacare at Eastwood in Wilson Boro, Pa.

He was a smash fixer at McGinley Mills in Phillipsburg until his retirement.

He was born September 15, 1921 in Valleyfield, Quebec, Canada, he was the son of the late Oliva and Irene Demers LeDuc.

He was a member of the Y.M.I.A. in Phillipsburg.

He was of the Catholic faith.

His wife, the former Anita Desjarden died January 26, 1994.

He is survived by three sons, Michael J. and Serge, both of Phillipsburg and Jean Claude of Valleyfield, Quebec, Canada; a daughter, Diane LeDuc of Valleyfield; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S Main St., Phillipsburg. A visitation period will be held from 6:00 p.m. until time of services Tuesday in the funeral home. Private cremation will be held at the convenience of the family.

The family requests memorial contributions to the Phillipsburg Emergency Squad, P.O. Box 215, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865.

Myrtle A. Leidy

Myrtle A. Leidy, 85, of Frenchtown Road, Milford, NJ, died Tuesday, September 25, 2001 in her home.

Born March 1, 1916 in Phillipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Carl ,Sr., and Helen Hoffman Moyer.

She was a past president of the former Frenchtown High School Band Club.

Her husband, Warren S. Leidy died September 24, 1980.

Survivors include two sons, John of Easley, South Carolina and Barry of Palmer Twp.; two daughters, Mary Lu Hockman of Lopatcong Twp., and Dorothy Dowlen of Milford, twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. A brother, Carl Moyer, Jr. died earlier.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg, NJ. A calling hour will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of services in the funeral home on Friday. Burial will be in Greenwich cemetery , Greenwich Twp., NJ.

Dorothy C. Lippincott

Dorothy C. Lippincott, 86, of the Care Center of Lopatcong, formerly of Phillipsburg, died Friday, July 19, 1996 in Warren Hospital.

She was a bolter at McGinley Mills in Phillipsburg and retired in 1971. She also worked as a waitress for many years at the Easton Moose Lodge, Easton Elks Lodge and the Phillipsburg Elks Lodge and volunteered at Warren Hospital for 18 years.

Born February 16, 1910 in Phillipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. And Liveria Pursel Fisher.

Survivors include one son, Francis R. Lyons of Lanaka Harbor, NJ; three daughters, Dorothy Conover of Phillipsburg, Doris Neumeyer of Cypress Texas and Barbara Ann Pierce of Magnolia Texas; one sister, Henrietta Schwar of West Easton; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg. Burial will be in Fairmount cemetery , Phillipsburg. Calling hours will be Tuesday, 10:00 am until time of services in the funeral home.

Charles R. (Chot) Loebsack, Sr.

Charles R. (Chot) Loebsack, Sr., 78, of South Side, Easton, formerly of Pohatcong Twp., died Monday, December 9, 1996 in his home. He moved to Easton three months ago.

He was an industrial painter having worked most of his life at Ingersoll-Rand Co., in Phillipsburg. He later worked for Ingersoll-Rand Co., in Easton, which later became Ecolaire Corp., He retired in 1983 from Ecolaire. He had also worked for Warren Foundry and Pipe Co., Phillipsburg from 1948 until 1950.

Born July 24, 1918 in Phillipsburg, he was the son of the late Henry H. and Florence Eldridge Loebsack.

He was a sergeant in the US Marine Corp. Reserves during World War Two and the Korean War. He was awarded the World War Two Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal and a Presidential Unit Citation.

He was a member of the Liberty Hose Co., Citizen's Hose Co., the Concordia Maennerchor and the Order of Fleas, all of Easton. He was a life member of the West Easton Fire Co., the Italian American Pleasure Club, Phillipsburg, the Huntingdon Fire Co., Pohatcong Twp., and the John Dolak American Legion Post, Alpha.

His wife, the former Evelyn M. Faulkner died July 16, 1992.

Survivors include one son, Charles R., Jr., of Stroud Twp; two daughters, Carol A. Reviello of Stroudsburg and Lenore L. Perini of Tatamy; three brothers, Richard and Henry of Phillipsburg and George of Easton; six sisters, Thelma Wlazelck of Largo, Fla., Gladys Wismer and Orvetta Wismer, both of Milford, Marlene Nunn of Great Meadows, NJ and Shirley Weidner and Joyce Brobst, both of Williams Twp.; and seven grandchildren. Two brothers, James and Donald both died earlier.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg. Burial will be in the Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Twp. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

The family requests memorial contributions to the Visiting Nurse Association of Easton, 3421 Nightingale Dr., Easton PA 18045-8013.

Antonio Loreti

Antonio Loreti, 98, of Phillipsburg, died Thursday, July 3, 1997 in Warren Hospital, where he was a patient for the past two weeks.

He was a machine operator for the Sanco Piece Die Works, Phillipsburg before retiring in September of 1968. He also worked for the former Warren Foundry, Phillipsburg and the Delaware and Lackawanna Railroad.

Born January 1, 1999 in Petrizzi, Province of Catanzaro, Italy, he was the son of the late Peter and Catherine Piperata Loreti.

He was a member of St. Philip and St. James Roman Catholic Church, Phillipsburg.

He was a member of the former Sons of Italy in Phillipsburg.

His wife, the former Cecilia Iozzo, died in June of 1990.

He is survived by one son, Peter, with whom he resided; one grandson; one great-grandson, one sister, Marianne Viscomi of Petrizzi, Italy; and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Guiseppe and Frank both died earlier.

Funeral services will held 9:00 a.m. Monday from the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 So. Main St., Phillipsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Monday, in St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church, 426 So. Main St., Phillipsburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery , Greenwich Twp. A Calling hour will be held Monday, 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. in the funeral home.

The family requests memorial contribution to the Church, 430 So. Main St., Phillipsburg.

Joseph Maida

Joseph Maida, 85, of Phillipsburg, died Thursday, September 12, 2002 in Warren Hospital.

He was a tailor for both the London Shop and Joseph's in Easton before retiring in 1978.

Born September 22, 1916 in Petrizzia, Italy, he was the son of the late Joseph and Vittoria Umbrello Maida.

He was a member of St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg.

He and his wife, the former Caterina Santoro observed their sixty-second wedding anniversary December 19th.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Joseph of Phillipsburg and Anthony of Easton; a daughter Vicki Derk of Palmer Township, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Josephine Santoro and Genevera Umbrello both died earlier.

Funeral services will begin at 9:15 a.m. Saturday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:45 a.m. Saturday in the church, 426 South Main St., Phillipsburg. Entombment will be in Holy Apostle's Mausoleum, Greenwich Twp., N.J. A calling hour will be held from 8:15 a.m. until time of services Saturday in the funeral home.

Genevieve A. Manieri

Genevieve A. Manieri, 76, of Hollywood, Florida, formerly of Phillipsburg, died Thursday, April 18, 2002 in the Hospice by the Sea, Hollywood Medical Center, Hollywood, Florida.

She retired as a bakery manager for the Xtra Supermarket in Hollywood, Fla where she worked from 1970 until 1995. She previously was an assembly line worker at Nytronics in Alpha, NJ for 20 years until 1970.

Born November 28, 1925 in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Assunta (Calcagnetti) Frinzi.

She was of the Catholic faith and was a former member of St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church in Phillipsburg where she organized bingo for many years.

She was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School in 1943.

She was a member of the American Legion Post 92 and a past president of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars, Post 2500, both in Hollywood, Fla.

Her survivors include two sisters, Pearl Baumann of Miami, Fla. and Lena Silvestri of Palmer Township., Pa.; six nephews and four nieces. Two sisters, Mary Wells and Jennie Hoagland died earlier.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main Street, Phillipsburg. Burial will be in St. Philip and St. James cemetery , Greenwich Township, NJ. A calling hour will proceed the services, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

Elizabeth Marascio

Elizabeth Marascio, 77, of Phillipsburg, died Tuesday, April 17, 2001 in Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ.

Born August 1, 1923 in Petrizza, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Francesca Brescia Santapolo.

She was a member of St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg.

Her husband, the late Rocco Marascio died December 23, 1991.

She is survived by two sons, Louis of Woodlands, Texas and Anthony of Bethlehem, Pa.; two daughters, Sylvia Madia and Franca Santoro, both of Phillipsburg; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 9:15 a.m. Saturday from the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 S Main St., Phillipsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:45 a.m. in St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church, 426 S Main St., Phillipsburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery , Greenwich Twp., NJ. Rocco Marascio

Rocco Marascio, 71, of Phillipsburg, died Monday, December 23, 1991 in Warren Hospital.

He owned and operated Rocco's Barber shop on So. Main St., Phillipsburg since 1955. He continued to work until several months ago when he was taken ill.

Born on Sunday, February 2, 1920 in Petrizza, Italy, he was the son of the late Onofrio and Rosina (Consentina) Masascio.

He was a member of St. Philip and St. James R.C. Church, Phillipsburg. He also was a member of the Order of Fleas, Easton.

He and his wife, the former Elizabeth Santopolo celebrated their fifty-first wedding anniversary Oct. 5, 1991.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons; Louis of Woodlands, TX and Anthony of Phillipsburg. Two daughter; Sylvia Maida and Franca Santoro, both of Phillipsburg. Two brothers; Bernardo of Whittier, CA and Joseph of Easton. One sister; Marianna Brescia of Phillipsburg and seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, 8:15 AM in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 299 S. Main St., Phillipsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Philip and St. James R.C. Church at 9:00 AM. Interment in St. Philip and St. James cemetery , Greenwich Twp., NJ. Call Thursday 7-9 PM.

Frank Marcantoni

Frank "Mark" Marcantoni, 78, of Lopatcong Twp., formerly of Phillipsburg, died Wednesday, April 19, 2000 in Manor Care Health Services in Palmer Twp.

He was a Patrolman with the Phillipsburg Police Department from 1954 until his retirement in 1980.

Born February 21, 1922 in Phillipsburg, he was the son of the late John and Maria Barbarini Marcantoni.

He was a member of St. Philip and St. James Roman Catholic Church, Phillipsburg.

He was a member of Policeman's Benevolent Association, Inc., Local 56 of Phillipsburg; Order of the Fleas of Easton and was a former member of the S.I.M. Club in Alpha, NJ.

He was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps during World War Two and participated in the Pacific Theatre of operations, including Gilbert, Marshall, Mariana islands, and Kwajalein Atoll.

Frank and his wife, the former Lena Olivi, observed their fifty-third wedding anniversary January 18th.

He graduated Phillipsburg High School in 1940 and attended Churchman's Business School in Easton.

In addition to his wife, he is survived a daughter, Marla, wife of Michael McGrath of West Haven Connecticut; a brother, Jildo of Pohatcong Twp.; a sister, Agnes Forchielli of Bethlehem, Pa.; a granddaughter, Leigh Ann, wife of Robert Hauer and a grandson Robert McGrath, both of West Haven, Connecticut. A son, Robert J. was killed in action on April 10, 1968 in South Vietnam during the Vietnam War.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Philip and St. James Church, 426 South Main St., Phillipsburg. Rev. Vincent P. Chen will be the celebrant of the Mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery , Greenwich Twp., NJ. There will be no calling hours.
