Born in Buffalo, NY the son of the late Emil and Mary (Shork) Thielke; Mr. Thielke was previously from Paterson. Loving husband of Margherita, devoted father of Wayne of West Chester, PA, and Mary Harding of Pompton Lakes, brother of Dorothy Martina of Cheektowaga, NY. Also surviving are four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law Patricia. He was predeceased by his brothers Kenneth and Robert, sisters Florence, Audrey, Marcella and Altha. Strunz, Dorothy L. (Lissner), 76, a retired secretary for Park Ridge Police Department, on Monday, December 17, 2007. Born in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late Frank and Ruth Lissner, Mrs. Strunz lived in Hewitt for 21 years and was previously from Park Ridge. She was a member of Holy Faith Lutheran Church, Oak Ridge and various local bridge groups. Survived by her beloved husband, George, two sons Robert of WI and Ronald of West Milford, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Born in Passaic to Salvatore and Margaret (Giardina) Salamone, Mrs. Crossett lived in Wanaque since 1985 and was previously from Basking Ridge. Beloved wife of the late Reginald (1979), devoted mother of Geraldine Stewart and Cynthia D'Amico both of Wanaque; loving sister of Stella Cannariato of Wallington and Grace Goodwin of Lakewood; cherished grandmother of Chris, Amber & husband Frank Zampese, Robert, J.R., Regin and great-grandmother of Abriana and Bryce. Corter, Joseph M., age 69, a retired heavy equipment operator for West Milford Road Department, where he worked for 21 years, died Sunday, April 1, 2007 at his home in West Milford, NJ. Mr. Corter lived in West Milford for 64 years and was previously from Ringwood. He is survived by his wife Patricia (Whritenour), two sons Joseph of Hewitt, NJ and Jacob of Pequannock Township, NJ, three daughters Cheryl Morgan of Franklin Boro, NJ, Connie Devonmille of Kinnelon, NJ, Carol Miller of Lakeland, FL, two brothers Jim of West Milford, NJ and Edward of East Stroudsburg, PA, five sisters Doris Maier of NC, Phyllis Struble of New Haven, NC, Gladys Burd of Bloomingdale, NJ, Margaret Magee of NC, and Mary Jobes of West Milford, NJ and 7 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers: William, Jacob, Glen and George and a sister Hazel Spratler. Mr. Corter was the son of the late Jacob and Mary (Simon) Corter. Cole, Marion, age 76, of Haskell died on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at the Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pequannock. Ms. Cole has been a resident of Haskell for the past 34 years. Surviving are one sister, Carolyn A. Pagan of Paterson; one nephew, Patrick R. Cole of Haskell and one niece, Beth Brasseur of PA. Cialkowski, Joseph, 14, a lifelong resident of West Milford on Thursday, August 09, 2007. Joseph was an 8th grade graduate of Macopin Middle School, Honor Roll Student, Citizen of the Month and member of Cub Scout Pack 149. He taught so many and mastered his life at such a young age. Carboy, Rita B. (Hallion), 86, died Monday, April 30, 2007 at Llanfair House Nursing Home in Wayne. Mrs. Carboy was the daughter of James and Bertha (Ricks) Hallion. She lived in Pompton Lakes for 60 years and was a member of St. Mary’s RC Church. She was a retired matron for the Pompton Lakes Board of Education. She is survived by her son-in-law, John Madden of Summit; four nieces, Patricia Peckovitch, Margaret Bailey, Frances Stubenrauch, Joan Whitaker. Bossard, Florence E. (nee Williams), 103, of Quitman, GA, died Sunday, May 20, 2007 at the Presbyterian Retirement Home. She was a former resident of Riverdale and St. Simons Island, Ga. She was a 17 year member of the St. Simons Presbyterian Church. Mrs Bossard was a 1923 graduate of Montclair State Teachers College. A kindergarten and first grade teacher for 40 years teaching in Riverdale, Oakland and West Milford. Mrs. Bossard was a former member of the Pompton Reformed Church, past President of Chilton Hospital Auxiliary, former member of Riverdale Seniors, Silentia Chapter Eastern Star and a Past Matron. Beloved wife of the late James (1961), sister of the late Claude, Maurice, Russell and Leroy Williams. Surviving are two daughters, Betty B. Whritenour of Brick, NJ, Mary Louise Kuehm of St. Simons Island, Ga, six grandchildren, John and David Whritenour, Ellen Kuehm-Driscoll, Jane Rolfes, Stephen & Jonathan Kuehm, nine great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Bohn, Jeannette C. (Van Pelt), 86, a homemaker from Old Bridge, NJ on Friday, November 23, 2007. Born in Bayonne, she moved to West Milford in 1964 and was the wife of Edward A. Bohn Jr. who predeceased her in 1986. Mrs. Bohn was very active in the St. Joseph’s Parish Community and West Milford Seniors. Surviving are a son, Edward A. Mr. Walsh was a 41 year resident of Kinnelon, NJ and was previously from Newton, Mass. Mrs. Turner was a member of Newfoundland United Methodist Church and a charter member of Flotilla 10-13 U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. She and her husband Richard Butler Turner were photographers in Wyckoff for many years. She is survived by her husband Richard, a son, William E. Turner of Hewitt, two daughters, Patricia A. Szulecki, John S. Sr., 75, of West Milford on Friday, August 10, 2007 at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pequannock. A financial executive with General Magnaplate Corp of Linden, NJ, he has been a resident of West Milford for the past eleven years. He was a veteran serving with the Air Force, a member of the American Legion of West Milford, a member of the New Jersey Society of CPAs and a member of Queen of Peace Church, Hewitt. Surviving are his wife, Halina (Kacprzycki) Szulecki; two sons, John S. Jr. of Northvale, NJ and Paul J. of Campbell Hall, NY; one daughter, Janice Martellacci of Hewitt; nine grandchildren also survive. Predeceased by his parents, Max & Helen (Piotrowski) Szulecki and a daughter, Holly A. De Bel in 2006. Storms, Lucy M. (Kitchell), age 87, a retired parts inspector for Magnetic Dielectrics, West Milford where she worked for 10 years, died Monday, February 19, 2007 at Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pequannock Township, NJ. She was one of the founders of West Milford Cub Scouts # 144. Mrs. Storms lived in West Milford, NJ for 56 years and was previously from Butler. She is survived by six sons, Earl D. Storms Jr. of Escondido, CA, Kenneth L. Storms of Indian Rock Beach, FL, Robert J. Storms of Dingmans Ferry, PA, Gerald A. Storms of Warwick, NY, Donald J. Storms of Oak Ridge, NJ, Ronald B. Storms of Hayesville, NC; a daughter, Arlene M. Storms of Murrieta, CA; two brothers, David and Edward Kitchell both of NJ; a sister, Ellen Planten of FL; 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Earl (1984) and a sister Valerie Decker. She was the daughter of Warren and Lucy (Dandski) Kitchell. Sinsabaugh, Shawn, 34, a self-employed handyman, died Tuesday, December 11, 2007. Mr. Sinsabaugh was a lifelong resident of Haskell. He was a Marshall Arts Expert. Born in Pequannock, he was the son of the late James and Lynda (Petterson) Sinsabaugh, loving brother of Louis Osborne and his wife Allison, devoted uncle of Mark, Joshua, Tyler and Kiley, all of Haskell. Ricker Jr., John passed away peacefully on Sunday July 15, 2007 at his home in Kinnelon at the age of 101. Mr. Ricker and his family were life long residents of Kinnelon. He was the son of John and Alida Ricker Sr; and the brother to Pearl Miller, Hattie Scinski and Sadie Mae Wiley. Mr. Ricker was the head construction superintendent of the Thomas Construction Company of Paterson and went on to construct buildings at Morris County College, William Paterson College as well as various schools and commercial buildings in New Jersey. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 124, the Kinnelon Fire Department and the Church of the Nazerene in Butler. He was a man of religious and moral character. Predeceased by his beloved wife Inez Ricker of 57 years in 1990, Mr. Ricker is survived by his nieces Joyce Young of Quincy, MA, Jeau Davis of Robinsville, NJ, Willa Tice of Bloomingdale, NJ and his nephew Dr. John Wiley of Westfield, NJ. Funeral services will be celebrated at 10 A.M. on Wednesday July 18 at Richards Funeral Home 4 Newark-Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale. Remia, Peter, age 92, a retired tile setter for Local #77 Tile & Bricklayers Union, Bayonne, NJ where he worked for 30 years, died Thursday, May 17, 2007 at Lakeland Health Care Center in Wanaque, NJ. Mr. Remia was a member and Past President of Upper Greenwood Lake Volunteer Ambulance Corp, Treasurer of 17th District of NJ 1st Aid Council, Acting Postmaster of Hewitt Post Office, Hewitt, NJ, Boy Scout Troop #44 Committee and member of the Italian American Social Club. Mr. Remia lived in Hewitt for 57 years and was previously from Brooklyn, NY. He is survived by two sons, William Remia of Hewitt, NJ and Edward Remia of Newton, NJ; a stepson, Albert McConnach of Brooklyn, NY; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was predeceased by his wife Enes (Bettelli) in 2003 and a brother Joseph in 1997. He was born in Spinozo, Italy the son of the late Dominick and Rose (Mobilio) Remia. Mr. Pladey was a retired heavy equipment operator for Village of Ridgewood, where he worked for 30 years. He is survived by his wife Nancy L. (Hill), a brother, Thomas W. Pladey and his wife Evelyn, their three daughters Elizabeth Gavin and husband Richard, their children, Amanda & Zachary Gavin, Cheryl Morris and husband Mark and their children, Heather and Thomas Morris and Karen Pladey. Also survived by his brother-in-law Richard and his wife Gwen Hill and their children, Robert, Marc and Ellen Hill. He was the son of the late Charles and Evelyn (Snyder) Pladey. Mr. Phillips lived in Lincoln Park, NJ for 28 years and was previously from Wayne. He is survived by his wife Debbie, a son, William I. Phillips, III of Ocean Grove, two sisters Margaret McCall of Teaneck and Marilyn Parr of Wayne. He was preceded in death by his father, William I. Phillips, Sr., and his mother, Helen Dunay.
