Mr. Pacelli was a Past Commander for the Italian American War Veterans of Sgt. John Basilione Post #6, Paterson and a member of Holy Cross RC Church. He was a Wayne resident since 1961 and was previously from Paterson. He served in the Army during Korean Conflict and WWII. Beloved husband of the late Josephine (Tarsitano), loving father of Diana Morana and husband Carmen of Parsippany, caring brother of Marie Cortez of Hazelton, PA, and Josephine Stitch of VA and the late Peter Pacelli and Ann Talerio. Noble, Catherine E. (Dunn), age 96, on Sunday, June 17, 2007 of Warwick, NY formerly of Hewitt, NJ. Mrs. Noble was a parishioner of Our lady Queen of Peace Church, Hewitt, member of UGL 1st Aid Squad, UGL Fire Dept Ladies Auxiliary and West Milford Golden Jet. She is survived by a son Donald Noble of Piscataway, a brother Charles Dunn of Clifton, 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband John and a son John J. Noble, Jr. She was born in Jersey City, the daughter of the late Theodore and Mary (McGetrick) Dunn. Miller, Cecelia H. (Van Orden), 88, a retired waitress for Branscombs Resturant, Pompton Lakes, died Thursday, April 12, 2007 at Chilton Hospital in Pequannock, New Jersey. She was a member of the Pompton Lakes Seniors. Mrs. Miller was a lifelong resident of Pompton Lakes. She was the daughter of Charles and Agnes (Struble) Van Orden. She is survived by three sons, Roger and Lloyd, Jr. of Pompton Lakes, NJ, Ronald of Belmar; a daughter, Patricia Lees of California; two sisters, Alice Pecoriello of Staten Island, NY and Joyce Mac Dougall of NY; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Junta, Andrew W., 80, a mason for Masons Union 44, Ridgewood, died Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at his home in Butler, New Jersey. He retired 25 years ago. Mr. Junta was a member of Rock Tavern Rod & Gun Club, Rockland, NY. Born in Paterson, Mr. Junta lived in Butler since 1959 and was previously from Wyckoff. Beloved husband of Joan, devoted father of Catherine Junta & her husband, Ronald Gagnon of Richmond, VA. He was the son of the late William and Isabelle (Crowder) Junta. Hurley, Donald B., 86, died on Friday, September 14, 2007. Originally a summer resident, Don retired to Pinecliff Lake Community Club, where he has been an active member for over 50 years. Born and raised on Staten Island, New York, he was a graduate of St. Peter’s High School in 1939, and Manhattan Colege in 1943 with a BS in Business Administration. Don served in the United States Army from 1943-1945 during WWII in the European Theatre as a Corporal with the 321 Fighter Control Squadron. After serving our country, Donald spent the next 40 years in Banking as an International Comptroller for Citibank. He was President of the Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Parish, Staten Island where he was one of the Founding Fathers of the Spartan Athletic League. Donald was also an active member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, Hewitt NJ. Don was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary J. Cox, his brother, Rev. John A Hurley, and sister Constance Hurley. He is survived by his sister Mary J. Zarrilli; his five children: three sons, Donald B., John A. Thomas J., two daughters, Mary T. Gaffney and Patricia H. Garrabrant, Edytha M. (Parcell) age 86 of West Orange, NJ died on Monday, May 28, 2007 at Mountainside Hospital, Montclair, NJ. A resident of West Orange since 1999, she was formally from Clifton. A 1947 graduate of Paterson State Teachers College, she was employed by the Pompton Lakes Board of Education as a school teacher for 32 years and was a member of the NEA. Surviving are one son, William Pettenger of Ringwood, NJ: 3 step-sons, Chris Garrabrant of CT, Robert Garrabrant of Bloomfield, NJ and William Garrabrant of Denville, NJ; 2 step-daughters, Patricia Schweighardt of AZ and Joan Stefanic of Bloomfield, NJ; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Gagas, Anthony P., 84, a retired engineer for Picatinny Arsenal, where he worked for 33 years, died Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at his home in West Milford, New Jersey. Mr. Gagas lived in West Milford, New Jersey since 1979 and was previously from Pequannock. He was an Army veteran of WWII. He is survived by his wife Carolyn (Spatts); two daughters, Patricia A. Grofcheck, of Hackettstown, NJ and Elizabeth Kievit of Tunkhannock, PA; two brothers, Richard of Kenilworth, NJ, and Robert of Crestview Hills, KY; three sisters, Blanche Bear of Boca Raton, FL, Delores Liddy of Cranford, NJ and Dorothy Brudecki of Sneedville, TN; a granddaughter, Jennifer and a great-granddaughter, Emma. Craig, Kathleen M. Mrs. Vieira was a member of the Bloomingdale Seniors, Bloomingdale Golden Agers, and a former member of St. Mary's Church, Pompton Lakes. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mae (Ferrie) Vieira. She previously lived in Flushing, NY before moving to Bloomingdale 45 years ago. Cusenza, Jennie (Scurti), 91, of Hewitt on Wednesday, October 31, 2007. She was a retired teacher of Romance languages for NYC Board of Education; an executive buyer at Macy's NY. Mrs. Cusenza was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Hewitt; the West Milford Golden Age Circle and PASS/West Milford Intergenerational Chorus. Jennie was a Brooklyn College 1938 graduate and did her Masters studies in French language at Columbia University. Mrs. Cusenza lived in Hewitt, NJ since 1965 and was previously from Bayside, NY. Surviving are her husband Nicholas; two sons, Joseph of Montclair, NJ and Vincent of Brooklyn, NY; four grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers, Bernard V. and Jack Scurti, and a sister, Mae Barone. Mrs. Cosgrove was a member of the West Milford Senior Citizens and lived in West Milford for 47 years and was previously from Paterson. She is survived by her sons, Edward, James and Thomas Cosgrove all of West Milford, NJ; two brothers, Jack Hampson of FL and Gerald Kelleher of Boonton; also survived by a grandchild. Ms. Alston attained a BA from College of New Rochelle, NY and MA from Fordham University. She Formerly served on Advisory Council Passaic County Republican Club, former member of NY Association of Business & Professional Women, Jet Set of Upper Greenwood Lake, NJ and a member of the West Milford Presbyterian Church, West Milford, NJ. Miss Alston lived in West Milford, NJ (1950-2007) and New York City, NY. She is survived by a sister Sabina A. Gould of Littleton, NC. Predeceased by her father, Rev. Henry H. Alston, and her mother, Pattie Lue Solomon, and two sisters, Ophelia Berry and Matilda Carr. She was the daughter of Rev. Henry and Pattie (Solomon) Alston. Aliotta, Mary (Drejman) age 79 passed away on May 31, 2007. She retired from Continental Can Company where she was the first female forklift operator. She cared for her husband, Salvatore, who preceded her in death. Mary’s caring, compassion and generosity will always be remembered by her friends and family. She is survived by her son, Salvatore, Jr. and his wife Sherry of Jackson, TN, her grandson Stephan and his wife Angela of Evansville, IN, her great granddaughter, Sicily and her brother, Edwin Drejman of Mahwah, NJ.
