AGNES ISABELLE CHRISTINE, 75, of Taos died Wednesday. She owned and operated Eloise Contemporary Clothing in Taos for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Anderson.
She is survived by her sister, Emily LePanto and husband Michael of New Jersey; and many other relatives and friends.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at San Francisco de Asis Church with burial to follow at Las Cruces Cemetery.

CESAR B. CORDOVA, 22, of Rodarte died unexpectedly Thursday.
He is survived by his mother, Lucille Cordova of Rodarte; stepfather, Fred Roybal, and stepmother, Lelia Roybal, both of Taos; brother, Gabriel Roybal of Taos and girlfriend Gloria Fernandez of El Rancho; and many other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday at Block-Salazar Mortuary in Espaņola. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pojoaque. Burial will take place in Grants Community Cemetery in Grants. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to a memorial fund set up at Valley National Bank.

DR. DAN J. CROY, 70, of died Sunday after a brief illness.
He was born in Salina, Kan., and spent his career in medicine, academia and government. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, attended West Point Military Academy and completed his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Kansas in Lawrence and Kansas City. After completing his internship and residency in psychiatry in Greensburg, Pa., and New York City, he moved with his family to Lubbock, Texas, where he engaged in private practice and served as a faculty member, associate dean and chairman of the department of psychiatry at Texas Tech University School of Medicine. While in Texas, he became involved in local government; serving as Lubbock County Democratic Party chairman and as a delegate to the state Democratic Convention. Later, he went on to work as national volunteer coordinator for U.S. Sen. Lloyd Bentsen's presidential campaign. He came with his family to Santa Fe in 1975 to continue his career in psychiatry and public service. He maintained a private practice and served as Cabinet secretary of Hospitals and Institutions under former Gov. Jerry Apodaca, as Democratic Party chairman and as a Democratic National Committee member. In the later years of his life, he continued practicing psychiatry in various locations throughout the country. He was a deeply compassionate man, committed to helping individuals and society.
He was preceded in death by his father, Don Croy; mother, Dorothy "Dee" Croy; brother, Bob Croy of Seattle; and former wife, Anne Samuel Croy of Santa Fe.
He is survived by his sister, Janet Smith of Seattle; brother Mike "Jason" Croy of New York; daughter, Amanda Croy Apodaca and husband Stephen Apodaca of Santa Fe; son, Jeff Croy and wife Jennifer Croy; two grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A gathering for friends and family will be held at 10:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Bishop's Lodge at the Little Tesuque Gazebo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.

HAROLD FOUNTAIN of Rio Rancho died Thursday.
He was originally from Baton Rouge, La. He retired after 20 years in the U.S. Navy and was a recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He returned to work for Exxon for three years and then worked as a Louisiana State University police officer, and finally retired and moved to Rio Rancho.
He is survived by his wife, Viola Gorman-Fountain; daughter, Diane Burandt and husband Frank; two grandchildren; brothers, James D. Fountain and wife Evelyn of Louisiana and Edward Fagot and wife Pat; sisters, Dora Elizabeth Fagot-Erickson and husband Richard, Kernan Fagot St. Amont and husband Hugh, and Patricia Ann Fagot-Dencausse and husband John; and many other relatives.
A visitation will be held at 6 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Monday at Berardinelli Family Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with burial to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. CHRISTOPHER S. GONZALES, 21, of Las Vegas, N.M., died Wednesday.
He was born in Las Vegas, N.M. He served in the U.S. Army as an 82nd Airborne Battalion Ranger. He attended the Job Corps in Albuquerque. He was presently employed at the Las Vegas Medical Center as a certified nurse's aide. He was known for his fine work in body piercing and interest in tattoos. He enjoyed being with his family and friends. He was baptized at the Immaculate Conception Church.
He is survived by his parents, Katie M. and Larry D. Gonzales; brother, Larry L. Gonzales Jr. and girlfriend, Maxine Padilla; sister, Katherine I. Gonzales and boyfriend Ian Maestas, all of Las Vegas, N.M.; second family, Tony and Kathy Cordova and their children, all of Las Vegas, N.M.; partner, Tammy Lujan of Las Vegas, N.M.; and many other family and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Immaculate Conception Church. A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at the same church with burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

NATIVIDAD QUINTANA, 95, of Espaņola died Wednesday.
She was a lifelong resident of Espaņola. She will be remembered by the approximately 1,000 first-graders she taught at elementary schools in and around Espaņola for 39 years. The state Department of Education selected her as New Mexico's "Teacher of the Year" in 1967. She was a lifelong parishioner of Holy Cross Church in Santa Cruz, participating in the choir and the Carmelitas.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Agatha and Eufelia; and brothers, Juan, Celestino, Antonio and Lorenzo.
She is survived by her sister, Frances Maes; and many other relatives.

FELICE B. VIGIL, 81, of Santa Fe died Wednesday.
She was born in Estancia, the daughter of Pedro and Pablita Baca.
She is survived by her husband, Ramon; sons, Fred, David and wife Belinda, Michael and wife Joy, Chris, Carlos and wife Susie; daughters, Angela and husband Peter, Becky and husband Ben, Lucy and husband Leon; sister, Emma Chavez and family; 16 grandchildren; and many other relatives.
A visitation will be held at 5 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at Berardinelli Family Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Cathedral with burial to follow at Rosario Cemetery.

NESTORA O. ABEYTA, 85, of Holman died Friday at the Vida Encantada Nursing Home after a long illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Vicente Abeyta; sons, William Abeyta and Vicente Abeyta Jr.; parents, Emilia and Felix Olivas; brothers, Samuel, Juilian, Baltazar, Nick and Manuel; and sister, Carmel Olivas, all of Holman and sister, Francisquita Olivas of Denver.
She is survived by her sons, George and Roger Abeyta; daughters, Juliette Huartson, Helen Sanchez and husband Frank, Gloria Abeyta and husband Harry Sinsheimer, Jane Morales and husband Frank; 14 grandchildren; special friends, Carmen Sena and Josie Maestas; and many other relatives.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at St. Gertrude's Church in Mora. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the same church with burial to follow at San Isidro Cemetery in Holman.
