ISABEL M. ROYBAL, 89, of Tesuque died Wednesday.
She was born in 1915 to Joaquin and Josefita Jimenez.
She is survived by her son, Joseph Garcia and companion Adelita Valencia; two grandsons; close nephew, Cundy Jimenez of Cuyamungue; and many other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Santa Fe. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the same church with burial to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

CRAIG ANDREW RUWE, 48, of Madrid, died May 4 of cancer.
He was born in Pasadena, Calif. He was a talented and multi-faceted artist best known for his work of enamels on copper. He moved to Santa Fe 18 years ago and made his home in Madrid, where he had his studio and gardens. In 2003, Craig and his partner, David H. Snow II, started their gallery, Fuse, in Madrid.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Wanda Ruwe.
He is survived by his partner, David Snow; sister, Melinda Sue Carrico and husband Ron and family; and many other relatives and friends in Madrid, Santa Fe and along the West Coast.
At his request, he was cremated. There will be no services. Instead, he asked that his family and friends join in a celebration of his life to be held at the family home in Madrid at a later date. For information, please call 438-4999. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society or the Hospice Center.

JOSE PACOMIO VALENCIA, 59, of Des Montes died Wednesday.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elfido Valencia and sister, Olivia Martinez.
He is survived by his wife, Erlinda L. Valencia; children, Michael Valencia and wife Cathy and Diana Valencia; two grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Seralia Herrera and husband Adelmo, Lucille Flores, Berlinda Vigil, Tranquilino Valencia and wife Louisa, Yolando Valencia and wife Yolanda; and many other relatives.
Rosaries will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Rivera Chapel and at 7 p.m. Sunday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Arroyo Seco. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Church with burial to follow at Arroyo Seco Cemetery.

LUIS "PISTOLAS" ARMIJO, 70, of Las Vegas, N.M., died Monday.
He was born in El Aguila. He worked most of his life as a ranch hand. He loved hunting, fishing and collecting old guns and knives. He belonged to the National Rifle Association and the North American Hunting Club. He attended the St. Anthony Church in Uppertown.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Salvador Armijo and Juanita Trujillo Armijo.
He is survived by his wife, Carmen Sedillo; daughter, Luisa Gallegos and husband; Gilbert of Thornton, Colo.; son, Benigno Armijo and wife; Elizabeth; of Las Vegas, N.M.; seven grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held at 9 a.m. today at San Antonio Church in Uppertown with burial to follow at San Antonio Cemetery in Uppertown.

LOVETA BUCHANAN, 72, of Albuquerque and formerly of Red River died Wednesday.
She is survived by her husband, Don Buchanan of Albuquerque; daughter, Heather Fredrickson and husband, Bill, of Albuquerque; sister, Winona Elliott of Stephenville, Texas; and many other relatives and friends.

ELOY ARSENIO CHAVEZ JR., 70, of Nambé died Sunday of Alzheimer's disease.
He was born in El Rito. He attended El Rito Normal School, then St. Michael's in Santa Fe. At age 17, he moved to California to visit his mother and finish his high school education. He attended Santa Monica College, where he studied engineering. In 1956, he was drafted into the U.S. Navy spending time on the USS Hornet, and he was honorably discharged in 1957. He worked for 30 years at Cloyd Smith's firm, General Acoustic Engineering in California, where he designed and directed the fabrication of acoustic/sound buildings to house and test engines for the airline industry. He was an accomplished carpenter. He relocated to Santa Fe and was married in 1996. In 1997, he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eloy I. Chavez of El Rito and Santa Fe; mother, Gilia Jaramillo-Naranjo, formerly of El Rito and then of Daly City, Calif.; first wife and mother of his sons, Dorothy Chavez; second wife, Mary Chavez; and sister, Elaisa Becker of Santa Fe.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne A. Shaw-Chavez; sons, Richard E. Chavez and Daniel Campbell of Albuquerque; one grandson; brothers, Jose A. Chavez and Michael Chavez of Santa Fe and Richard Naranjo of Daly City, Calif.; sisters, Irene Leyba of Simi Valley, Calif., and Rita Garcia of Santa Fe; and many other relatives and friends.
Cremation is planned. A Christian military service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

LEO J. GRIEGO, 51, of Las Vegas, N.M., died Tuesday after a sudden illness.
He was born in Sena and was a former three-year resident of San Jose. He graduated from West Las Vegas High School in 1971. He worked for UPS, Top of the Line Construction and K.R. Swerdfeger Construction Company Inc. He was a member of Los Hermanos Motorcycle Club and was honored with his 30-year member patch. He was a former member of the E. Romero Fire Department. He loved to hunt, fish, camp, boat and bike. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dora L. Griego; brothers, Johnny Griego and Joseph Griego; and sister, Mary Theresa Griego.
He is survived by his father, Alex Jose Griego of Las Vegas, N.M.; girlfriend, Terry Sandoval and daughter, Alma Lucero, both of Las Vegas, N.M.; children, Anthony Max Chacon and wife, Josie; Leona Ann Griego; Doreen Inge Sanchez and husband, Bryan, of Los Lunas, Carolina Victoria Griego, Toni Beth Yara and husband, Abel; Crystal Lujan and fiancé, Joseph Rivera; Eian Joseph Griego; Gavin Leo Griego, all of Las Vegas, N.M.; seven grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Martha Liebert, and Yvonne Griego of Santa Fe, Fidencio Griego and wife, Barbara, of Las Vegas, N.M.; Danny Griego and wife, Consuelo, of Truth or Consequences and many other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the same church with burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
