JULIANA MARY MOLINAR, 76, of Mora died Sunday. She was born in Mora to the late Patrocinio Molinar and Rosalia Trujillo Molinar. She worked very hard as a single parent to raise her family. She was a very kind and humble person. She loved to cook, be outdoors, pick piñon, choke cherries, spinach and verdolagas. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a member of the St. Gertrude's Church in Mora. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her children, Anastasia Gallardo and special friend Wilfred, Jovita Romero and husband Demcy, Jerry Garcia and wife Debbie, Ivan Molinar and wife Loretta and Merle Molinar, all of Mora; seven grandchildren; brother, Arturo Molinar of Mora; sisters: Lorenza Lizarraga and Antonia Bustos and husband George, all of California; special friend, Yvette Alcon; and many other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today at St. Gertrude's Church in Mora with burial to follow at Mora Cemetery. Rogers Mortuary, Las Vegas, N.M., (505) 425-3511.

JOSEPHINE "BEAR" ROMERO, 53, of Taos died Tuesday. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sara Trujillo; and husband, Sam Romero. She is survived by her father, Juan Trujillo; daughter, Debbie Trujillo and husband Manuel; two granddaughters; sisters and brothers, Cecila Martinez and husband Tomas, Rose LeBlanc and husband Phil, Chris Trujillo and wife Cordelia, Tony Trujillo and wife Marcella, Leo Trujillo and wife Connie, George Trujillo and Robert Trujillo; and many other relatives and friends. CONNIE SILVA-DURAN, 67, died Monday. She was born to the late Jose Benito and Lazarita Padilla. She enjoyed reading scriptures and giving bibles, blankets, food and clothes to all of her family and friends. She worked at Victory Home Health for over 10 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Guadalupe Silva; and her second husband, Polito Duran. She is survived by her children, Ruben Silva and wife Mabel, Dennis Silva and wife Rose, Charlie Silva and wife Eva, Susie Garcia and husband Frank, all of Las Vegas, N.M., Lilly Jauregui and husband Manuel, and Judy Silva, all of Sapello, and Lisa Herrera; 21 grandchildren; sisters, Elvira Roybal and husband Willie, Modesta Montoya and husband Manuel and Margaret Quintana, all of Colorado, Lorenza Ortiz and husband Suzano, and Maria Luisa Padilla all of Sapello; special uncle, Mariano Romero; special friends, Virginia and Arturo Roybal, Minnie and Isaias Roybal, Mary Ann and Carlos Duenes and Ellena Gavera and Margaret Herrera; and many other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held from noon to 5 p.m. today at Nelson Funeral Home. A service will be held at 7 p.m. today at Immaculate Conception Church. JOSE PATRICK MONTOYA, 60, of San Juan Pueblo died Wednesday. He was born in 1944 to Antonio and Encarnacion, known to her grandchildren as carnation Montoya. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from July of 1965 and was honorably discharged in July of 1971. He is survived by Michael Montoya, Tony and Liz Montoya and John and Elisea Casias, all of San Juan, Ralph and Tillie Hollister of California, and many other relatives and friends. Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. today at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in San Juan Pueblo with burial to follow in the San Juan Pueblo Cemetery. MANUEL L. TORRES, 69, of San Pedro died Tuesday. He was born in Talpa to Felimon and Lucinda M. Torres. He was employed as a relief program administrator for overseas relief agencies. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brothers, Antonio Torres and wife Helen and Benedito Torres and wife Isabel, all of Albuquerque, Jose Torres and wife Consuelo of Black Lake, Tomas Torres and wife Diane of Walnut Creek, Calif., Indelesio Torres and wife Gretchen of South Pasadena, Calif., Robert Torres of Taos and Luis Torres of San Pedro; and many other relatives and friends. JEROME G. MAES, 32, of Santa Fe died Saturday. He was born in Albuquerque and was a lifelong resident of Santa Fe.
He is survived by his mother, Leona Maes; children, Conan and Amanda; favorite cousin who was like a sister, Constance Maes; and many other relatives and friends. DENNIS J. ORTIZ, 41, of El Pueblo died Monday in Las Vegas, N.M. He was preceded in death by his sister, Diana Ortiz. AURORA C. TRUJILLO, 88, of Rociada died Sunday after an extended illness. She was born in Sapello. She was married to the late Margarito Trujillo in 1934 in Sapello. She enjoyed sewing, working crosswork puzzles, praying the rosary and tending her flowers. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolfo and Ambrocita Martinez Chavez; husband; son, Alfonso; and two grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Ambrosita Gallegos of Pueblo, Colo., Margarito Trujillo Jr. of Garden Grove, Calif., Charlie Trujillo and wife Maria Rose, Virginia Gonzales, Jose Trujillo and wife Bernadette, Floyd Trujillo and friend Carmen, and Petra Trujillo and friend Cathy Zamora, all of Gascon, Gloria Gonzales and husband Horace of Questa, and Margaret Irene Smith and companion Dave of Nine Mile Falls, Wash.; brothers and sisters, Eloisa Casados of Las Vegas, N.M., Maria Chavez and Ernest Chavez, both of Denver, Jose Chavez and Sadie Espinoza, both of Albuquerque, Josie Sanchez of Rociada, and Annie Franco of Alamogordo; 27 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. JOSEPHINE A. TRUJILLO, 83, of Fairview died Monday following a long illness. She was a lifetime educator in the communities of Gallina, Ojo Caliente and Española. She was a member of Santa Cruz United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucas Trujillo Jr.; son, Richard Trujillo; five brothers and one sister, all of Colorado. She is survived by her son, Herbert Lucas Trujillo of Fairview; daughters, Pearl Bustos and husband Leroy of California, Cecilia and Jeanie Trujillo, both of Fairview; four grandsons; special nephew, Emmett Abeyta; special friend, Manuela Arreola; and many other relatives and friends. CAYETANO R. ORTIZ, 75, of Chimayó died Tuesday after a long illness.
He was preceeded in death by his wife, Viola Ortiz; and parents, Margarita and Cayetano Ortiz Sr. He is survived by his daughters, Cecilia Ortiz and Roberta Ortiz of Chimayó and Teresa Ortiz-Martinez and husband Marvin of Lower San Pedro; and six grandchildren. LEROY RAUL "SQUIKE" URIOSTE, 28, of Las Vegas, N.M., died Tuesday after injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Las Vegas, N.M., to Leroy A. Urioste and Kathy Ruiz Urioste. He was employed by Victory Enterprises as a ranch hand and was a former correctional officer with Guadalupe County Correctional Facility in Santa Rosa and at the San Miguel Detention Center. He loved fishing, hunting, horseback riding, listening to music and spending time with his children and friends. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church. He is survived by his children, Louanna Urioste, Angel Maese, Jeramiah L. Urioste and Mariah Quintana; parents, Leroy A. and Kathy Urioste of Apache Springs; life companion, April Maese and her daughter, Charollette, both of Apache Springs; sisters, Lynette Urioste and Letticia Urioste, both of Las Vegas, N.M.; special aunt, Louella Urioste; and many other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at the same church with burial to follow at San Jose Cemetery. ERLINDA R. CASADOS, 76, of Santa Fe died Wednesday after a long illness.
She was born in New Mexico, the daughter of Adelaido and Celina Rivera, and was married at St. Anne's Catholic Church in 1951. She was a graduate of the Loretto Chapel and retired from the state of New Mexico.
She is survived by her husband, Willie Casados; daughter, Donna and husband, Ted Chavez; son, James Casados; sisters, Mable Trujillo and Fabiola and husband John Valdez; brother, George Rivera and wife, Erma; two grandchildren; and other relatives.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Berardinelli Family Chapel. Berardinelli Family Funeral Service, 983-4331.
