DOMINICO ANDRONICO MAESTAS, 84, of Española died Tuesday.
He was born in Los Pachecos and resided in Alcalde Crochet and San Francisco, Calif. He was retired from the C & H Sugar Refinery in California. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosalia Trujillo; father, Lauriano Maestas; and daughter, Annabelle Del Toro. He is survived by his wife, Tonita Maestas of American Canyon; children, Christina Victoria of Dublin, Calif., Esther Layton and husband Kenny of Little Rock, Ark., Edward Maestas of Reno, Nev., Bernie Maestas of Vallejo, Calif., Dominico Maestas and wife Sue Ann of Anderson, Calif., Betty Gourley and wife Bruce of Vallejo, Calif., and Felix Maestas of San Francisco; brothers, Celestino Gonzales and wife Virginia of Guache and Jose Trujillo and wife Marittza of Concord, Calif.; sister, Cordillia Maestas of Fresno, Calif.; and many other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. today in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in San Juan. MARIE W. BURNS, 87, of Las Vegas, N.M., died. She attended grade schools in Las Vegas, N.M., and the Sisters of Loretta School in Bernalillo. She completed high school in Harrisburg, Ill. She returned to Las Vegas, N.M., in 1934, and was employed by the New Mexico Power Company's Agua Pura division until her marriage in 1937 to John M. Burns. She was employed as a cashier at Montgomery Ward during World War II and then started work at the Bank of Las Vegas as a secretary in 1953. She was senior vice president and secretary to the board of directors, as well as assistant secretary to the Las Vegas Bank Corporation, when she retired in 2002 after more than 49 years. She was then named to the bank's board of directors. She was a longtime member of the New Mexico Bankers Association, serving part of the time as vice president to Group II. She helped mothers groups for Las Vegas' first organized summer youth baseball leagues— first in Little League and then Little Bigger League a year later. She and her husband followed and assisted with American Legion baseball and the local merchants team in support of their son. She was a member for more than 50 years of American Legion Auxiliary No. 24, and a 40-year member and officer for the local Naomi Rebekah Lodge, holding its highest office for part of that time. She was a member of the New Mexico Fireman's Auxiliary, where she attained the first vice president and president positions. She was baptized at the First Christian Church in Las Vegas, N.M. She was preceded in death by her parents, Viola and John Nawratil; brother, John; sister, Edith Barila; and husband, John. She is survived by her son, John Burns of Las Vegas, N.M.; one grandson; and many other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Rogers Chapel, 600 Reynolds Ave. in Las Vegas, N.M. Burial will take place at a later date at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. GONZALO GARCIA, 38, of Santa Fe died Sunday. He is survived by his wife, Maria Garcia; and many other relatives and friends. ESTHER "ESTA" LOPEZ-ROMERO, 30, of Wagon Mound died unexpectedly Saturday due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born in Las Vegas, N.M., to Luis F. Lopez and Ramona Montoya Lopez. She was married at Santa Clara Church in Wagon Mound to Carlos A. Romero. She was the director of school activities at the Wagon Mound Public Schools. She was actively involved in the Wagon Mound Public School activities. She loved all sports, riding horses, skiing, fishing and camping. She was a very giving person. She is survived by her husband, Carlos A. Romero; daughter, Andrea Romero; parents, Luis and Ramona Lopez, all of Wagon Mound; sisters and brothers, Susie Pale and husband Michael of Abilene, Texas, Daniel Montoya of Gonzalez, Texas, Elma Garcia of Fayetteville, N.C., Dorothy Baca and husband Alex and Manuel Garcia, all of Albuquerque; and many other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Santa Clara Church in Wagon Mound. MATTHEW ISAAC ROMERO, 7, of Wagon Mound died unexpectedly Saturday due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Las Vegas, N.M., to Carlos A. Romero and the late Esther L. Lopez-Romero. He had just completed first grade at the Wagon Mound Elementary School in Wagon Mound. He was a very outgoing young boy, who loved riding his bike, swimming, skiing, fishing, hunting and riding horses. He is survived by his father, Carlos A. Romero; and sister, Andrea Romero. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Santa Clara Church in Wagon Mound. JOHN MAX GLENDENNING, 29, of Santa Fe died Friday.
He was born to Jimmie and Martha Glendenning in Denver. He is survived by his children, Alex and Rachel Bower; parents; and brother, Ralph Glendenning, all of Santa Fe. EUSEBIO LOPEZ, 89, of Abiquiu died Wednesday following a long illness. He loved to hunt and horseback ride. He was preceded in death by his parents, Belarmino and Agapita Lopez; brothers, Tomas, Abel and Juan Lopez and Filadelfio Martinez; and sister, Margarita Lopez. He is survived by his wife, Vicenta Lopez; son, Joe E. Lopez; caregiver, David J. Romero; sister, Ida Archuleta and husband Bernardo; brother, Fernando Lopez and wife Candelaria; favorite nephew, Tony J. Gallegos, all of Abiquiu; and many other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held at 5 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. today at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Abiquiu. BILLY ROBERT MOREE, 43, of Wagon Mound died Saturday of injuries he received in an automobile accident.
He was born Dec. 26, 1960, in Albuquerque, the son of Tracy D. Moree and Rachel Encinias Moree.
He was raised in Albuquerque. He attended Pima Medical Institute and studied pharmacy technology. He loved music, singing and was a real hard worker.
He was a lifelong Catholic and attended the Santa Clara Church in Wagon Mound.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Julian and Bedelia Encinias and Louie and Clarabelle Moree; and an uncle, Billy R. Moree.
He is survived by his parents; sons and daughter, Matthew Moree, Roberta and Dylan Moree; one granddaughter; sisters, Cathy Moree and Mario Gomez, and Latanya Haywood and husband Paul, all of Albuquerque; brothers, Mario Trujillo of Wagon Mound, Zeke "Con" Trujillo and Christina of Pecos, and Mike Moree of Albuquerque; seven nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the Santa Clara Church. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at the same church. Burial will follow at the Santa Clara Cemetery in Wagon Mound.

ERMINIO LOUIE CRUZ, 45, a longtime resident of Wagon Mound died Saturday of injuries he received in an automobile accident.
He was born May 22, 1959, to Erminio Cruz and Cleotilde Encinias.
He served in the U.S. Army as a helicopter repairman and tactical communication systems operator and mechanic. He reached the rank of sergeant and earned the Army Service Ribbon, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Aircraft Crewman Badge and Sharpshooter Badge. He served one year in South Korea.
He graduated from Manzano High School in Albuquerque. He attended Luna Community College in Springer. He loved to paint rock work and he loved animals. He had a knack for culinary arts. He enjoyed sports and was skilled in arts and crafts.
He was a lifelong Catholic and attended Santa Clara Church in Wagon Mound.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Julian and Bedelia Encinias.
He is survived by his parents, Clotilde O. and Thomas Fallon of Cedar Crest; sister, Melissa Gutierrez and husband Joe of Chilili; close cousins, Mario Trujillo, Zeke "Con" Trujillo, Phillip Hern, Mike Moree, Cathy Moree and Latanya Haywood; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the Santa Clara Church. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at the same church. Burial will follow at the Santa Clara Cemetery in Wagon Mound.

PAT A. CATANACH, 51, of Santa Fe died suddenly Saturday. He loved riding around, listening to Spanish music and visiting his many friends and family. He loved teasing and laughing and telling jokes. He had nicknames for everyone he knew.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, James and Antonia Catanach. He is survived by his wife, Cathleen Catanach, son, Chris; daughter, Melissa; brothers and sisters, Celine and Ralph Miller, Jerry Catanach and Mary, Cecilia Medina and Joe, Clara Catanach, and Gene Catanach and Virgie; and many other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. today at McGee Memorial Chapel Mortuary. JOHNNY M. MARTINEZ, 60, of Santa Fe died suddenly Saturday. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Rosemary, Tommie and Lawrence. He was born in Las Vegas, N.M., the son of Juan and Isabel Benavidez. He was employed at the Hilton, Inn of Loretto, the University of Wyoming and the Presbyterian Church. He was a volunteer for Gary King, Jim Trujillo and others. He enjoyed dancing, gardening, joking and laughing. He was a very caring and social person, always willing to lend a helping hand. He is survived by his partner, Cecilia Lopez; daughter, Paula Martinez; sons, Michael Martinez and wife Erika and mother Darlene Perez, and Arthur Lopez and wife Berna; two grandchildren; stepchildren; parents; sisters, Connie Coca and husband John, Irene Graston and husband Paul, Denise Benavidez and husband Angelo, Anamay Gonzales and husband David; brothers, Mac Martinez and wife Georgia, Robert Benavidez, Ralph Benavidez and Paul Benavidez; and many other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held at 3 p.m. today with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Berardinelli Family Chapel.
