She had a vacation home in Santa Fe.
She is survived by her husband, David Carmichael; four daughters; four grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
A service will held in California and burial will be at the Arlington National Cemetery.

BETTY GOODRICH, 80, of Santa Fe died Thursday.
She was born in Bethany, Okla. She was known as Clara Beth "C.B.," "Betty," Jernigan Goodrich. She became a professional tailor and designer. Over 31/2 decades, her business thrived in Santa Fe. Her customers included ambassadors; music, movie and television stars; and Hollywood fashion designers. Her clientele included local, national and international customers. Together, she and her husband designed and built two of their Santa Fe homes. They also devoted much time to square dancing. She developed Alzheimer's disease. She will be remembered for her painting, sewing and singing.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Richard Goodrich; daughters, Judy Goodrich-Benbow and husband, Ronald Benbow; Linda Holley and husband, Mickey Holley; Peggy Gonzales and husband, Michael Gonzales; six grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Methodist Church followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

NICHOLAS J. NOEDING, 55, of Taos died Tuesday.
He was born in Taos. He had a long, wonderful career practicing labor and employment law. His life was made full and complete by the love of his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Faye Noeding of Taos.
He is survived by his wife, Jane; sons, Nick Noeding Jr., Henry Noeding and Brett Kelley and wife Mica; daughter, Kirsten Wells and husband Al; brother, Tom Noeding; sister, Barbara Mott; special cousin, Louise Blair; three grandchildren; and many other relatives.

ALEX PACHECO, 83, of Santa Fe died Thursday after a brief illness.
He was born in Alcalde, the son of Victoriana Borrego and Jose Pacheco. He attended three years of York College in Nebraska before enlisting in the U.S. Marines, where he received an honorable discharge as a sergeant in 1945. He earned high medal honors as a sharpshooter. He was employed as a Human Rights commissioner, commissioner of Securities for former Gov. Jack Campbell and chief of Corporation Commission under John Block. He was an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and served the Democratic Party as ward chairman of District 45 for 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Anthony Pacheco; and sister, Veva and husband J.D. Garcia.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Pacheco; and many other relatives.

Roderick Peterson was one of the original founders of the Institute of American Indian Arts Museum and a member of the foundation board of the Museum of International Folk Art.
Peterson, a former Santa Fe resident, died Monday at the age of 83 at a hospital in Woodland Hills, Calif.
Peterson was known largely for his work writing for television. He wrote more than a dozen episodes of "The Waltons." His sole feature-writing credit came for "The Chartroose Caboose," produced by Universal Studios in 1959.
Peterson served in the 871st Signal Corps attached to the Air Corps in the Pacific during World War II.
He was also a board member of the Santa Fe Chapter of the American Diabetes Association and was the creator of the association's "Outta of Your Gourd" fund-raiser.
Peterson is survived by his wife, Claire; three children, Eric Jon Peterson of Albany, Calif., Lisa Jan Winslow of Concord, Calif., and Sally Nina Peterson of Durham, N.C.; and four stepchildren, Kristin Garbett and Eric Jon Wallengren of Salt Lake City, Mark Delbert Wallengren of Studio City, Calif., and Rolf Whitaker Wallengren of Santa Fe.
Funeral services were scheduled for Saturday in Calabasas, Calif.

He was born to Teresita Marquez Bustamante, now deceased, and Jose Ascencion Bustamante.
He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Jose Trujillo.
He is survived by his children, Anna "Bonnie" Bustamante, Cynthia Ridgeway and husband Anthony, Delfido Bustamante, and Rexann Bustamante and Carl Nelson; eight grandchildren; fiancé, Josephine Gonzales; sister, Charlotte Villegas and husband Eli of Anaheim, Calif.; brothers, Jesse Martinez and wife Jessie of Long Beach, Calif., Frank Trujillo and wife Sylvia of Las Vegas, N.M.; Albert Trujillo and wife Olga of Buena Vista, Calif.; Ernie Trujillo and wife Virginia of Compton, Calif., Steve "Leroy" Trujillo and wife Pauline of Buena Park, Calif. and Howard "Danny" Trujillo of California; and many other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Las Vegas, N.M. Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the same church. A private family burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery at a later time.

TORIBIO ENCINIAS SR., 84, of Montezuma died Saturday at Alta Vista Hospital.
He married Virginia Sanchez in Las Vegas, N.M., in 1940. He was a carpenter by trade. He spent his quality time raising his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and tending to his sheep and goats. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church and the Sociedad de Nuestro Padre Jesus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Santiago and Barbarita Martinez Encinias; brothers, Santos, Jose, Bernadino and Telesfor Encinias; sisters, Navora and Francisca Maestas and Beneranda Garcia.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia of Montezuma; sons, Toribio Encinias Jr. and wife Reva, and Fred Encinias and wife Patty, all of Montezuma; daughters, Dorothy Knezevich and husband Howard of Las Vegas, N.M., and Sally Becinti and husband Albert of Santa Ana, Calif.; sister, Flora Encinias of Montezuma; nine grandchildren; and many other relatives.
