MARY DORA LUJAN of Santa Fe died Friday after a long illness.
She enjoyed watercolor painting and embroidery, and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Isidro and Merced Lopez.
She is survived by her husband, Fernando; son, Darrell Lujan and wife Amelia; daughter, Denise and husband Conrad Montoya; four grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Rachel Perea, Adelina Hernandez, Luisa Garcia and husband Tony, Eusebio Lopez, Viola Montoya and husband Peter, Orlando Lopez and wife Thelma, Frances Atencio, and Fedelina Urban and husband Fred. Visitation begins at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Berardinelli Family Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with burial to follow at Rosario Cemetery.

MAX S. MARTINEZ, 91, of El Guique died Thursday.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sofia Martinez; parents, Eliseo and Genara Martinez; and a brother, Ambrosio Martinez.
He is survived by his children, Melita and husband Lowell Futch of Doyline, La., Max Martinez Jr. and wife Inez of Thornton, Colo.; Rose Ellen and husband C. Leo Martinez of Las Vegas, N.M., Ralph Martinez and wife Amelia of Albuquerque, and Nancy and husband Tom Ortiz of Santa Fe; a special niece, Shirley Padilla of El Guique; 15 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Saint John Baptist Church on San Juan Pueblo. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at the same church with burial to follow at the San Rafael Cemetery in El Guique. Block-Salazar Mortuary, (505) 753-2288.

ELOY MONTOYA, 77, of Des Montes died Thursday.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Montoya; parents, Jose B. Montoya and Augustina Ortega; sisters, Teresita Archuleta and Antonia Ulibarri, and Helen Gonzales; and brother, Max Montoya.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Montoya; children, Elsie L. Chavez and husband Jimmy of Des Montes, Gloria L. Montoya of Des Montes, Grace Olivarez and husband Danny of Ft. Collins, Colo., Rebecca Montoya of Taos, Rachel Montoya of Des Montes, Mary Louise Nuanez of Taos, Elias Montoya (Martha) of Des Montes, Lydia Montoya of Ft. Collins, Colo., and Frances Celestino and husband Firmo Jr. of Questa; 20 grandchildren; and sister, Annie Montoya and husband Joe of Las Vegas.
A service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Taos Assembly Church on Burch Street with another service at 9 a.m. Monday at the same church. Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

VALERIE RAEL, 42, of Questa died Thursday.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Angie Rael; and sister, Geralyn Rael.
She is survived by her parents, Olivia and Richard Rael; sister, Annette Ortega and husband Michael; brothers, Richard Rael Jr. and James Kelly Rael; and many other relatives.
Mass will be held at 10 a.m. today at San Anthony Catholic Church with burial to follow at San Pedro Cemetery.

SARAFINA T. SALAZAR, 71, of San Pedro died Wednesday.
She was active in church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Max A. Salazar; parents, Julian and Rafaelita Torres; brothers, Remejio and Leopoldo Torres; and sisters, Barbarita Trujillo and Elisea Sandoval, all of Cordova.
She is survived by her children, Ronald Salazar and wife Nancy of San Pedro and Maxine Gurule of San Pedro and husband Martin Gurule of Albuquerque; four grandchildren; two sisters, Celida Romero and Clorinda Martinez and husband Adonais, all of Cordova; and many other relatives and friends.
Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. today at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada with burial to follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert W. Simen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Candido Valdez.
She is survived by her children, Juan Valdez and wife Bertha of Questa, Lorraine Anderson and husband Richard of Las Vegas, Nev., Betty Beirne of Summerville, W.Va., and Louisa Aragon and husband Ernest of Questa; 13 grandchildren; and many other relatives.
A rosary will be recited on at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Questa. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony Church with burial to follow at San Pedro Cemetery.
