DONALD ALVIN DICKERSON, 90, of Taos died Saturday.
He was born in Gould, Okla. He received his bachelor's degree on a basketball scholarship from Panhandle A&M in Goodwell, Okla., and a master's degree from New Mexico Highlands University. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a teacher, basketball coach and administrator in Vilais, Colo., Griggs, Okla., and Amarillo. He retired to Taos in 1972. He was a member of Lions Club International in Amarillo and Taos. He was especially fond of operating the Taos Lion's Club merry-go-round Tio Vivo every Fiesta.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dixie Mason.
He is survived by his wife, Ada of Fort Worth and Taos; children, John and Kathleen of Santa Fe and Bob of Amarillo; three grandchildren; and many other relatives.

ELIZABETH ELLEN ROBERTSON, 94, of Los Alamos died Wednesday at Los Alamos Medical Center.
She was known as "Betty" to her friends and had resided at Aspen Ridge Lodge. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to Los Alamos in 1988. She enjoyed reading and doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She was active in the White Rock Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Robertson.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Tubb and husband John of White Rock; son, Daniel Robertson and girlfriend Roberta Harris of Rio Rancho; four grandchildren; three sisters; one brother; and many other relatives.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Aug. 27 at Aspen Ridge Lodge in Los Alamos.

DEBRAH SANDOVAL, 40, of Santa Fe died Saturday after a long illness.
She was a graduate of Santa Fe High School and attended Santa Fe Community College. She served in the U.S. Army Reserves for over eight years.
She is survived by her mother, Gloria Montoya; father, William Sandoval and family; brother, Daniel Scott Montoya; children, Ernesto Sandoval, Erica Sandoval, Patricia Manzanares and Richard Anaya; and many other relatives.

JESSICA ANGELIQUE SANDOVAL, 25, of Española died suddenly Monday.
She was a 1997 graduate of Pojoaque High School. She was employed at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. She is survived by her mother, Diane Martinez and husband David; father, Ernest Sandoval; brother, Eric Sandoval and fiancé Naomi Santistevan, all of Chimayó; stepsister, Davita Martinez and fiancé, George Valdez of Española; close friends, Eric Branch, Anna Maria Vigil and Amanda Mascareñas; and many other relatives and friends.

DANIEL "DANNY" C. VALDEZ JR., 54, of Los Alamos died Tuesday.
He was known as "Uncle Dan" and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian A. Valdez of Los Alamos; children, Brian R. Valdez and wife Kelli of Lansing, Kan., Camille Espinoza of Fort Carson, Colo., and Daniel C. LOUIS A. GARCIA, 83, of Santa Fe died Sunday after a brief illness.
He was born in Los Luceros, the son of the late Luis M. Garcia and Rafelita Lucero Garcia. He married Leontina "Teena" Quintana Garcia in Santa Fe in 1963. He was a graduate of Santa Fe High School and the University of New Mexico. He was a registered public accountant and formerly the director of audits of the state Department of Taxation and Revenue. He was proprietor of Garcia's Tax Service. He was an active member in the Knights of Columbus, honorary member of the Eagles and adjutant in the American Legion Society of Public Accountants. He is survived by his wife, of Santa Fe; brother, Edward Garcia and wife Lyla of Albuquerque; and many other relatives. Memorial contributions may be donated to St. Francis Cathedral. ALBINITA G. MAESTAS, 101, of Gallina died Sunday. She was a good homemaker, a good cook and loved to dance. She was a rancher and always had beautiful flowers and vegetables. She would make repairs to the home and ranch and fix fences. She was an active woman who was church-oriented. She belonged to El Corro de la Sagrada Familia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Crescencio Maestas; son, Richard Maestas Sr.; brother, Juan Gallegos; and sisters, Eloisa Aragon, Elisa Gonzales and Ciria Lopez.
