MARY SCOTT WILSON, 89, of Santa Fe died Sunday.
She was born to Dr. Edson and Jenny Margaret Scott in Garden City, Kan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Otto Wilson
She is survived by her son, Scott Wilson and wife Gail; daughter, Julia Ann Fidel and husband Michel; five grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at McGee Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society Animal Shelter, 1920 Cerrillos Road, Santa Fe, NM 87505.

PAUL BERNAL, 58, of Española died unexpectedly Saturday. He was preceded in death by his foster parents, Tito and Elvira Romero. JUSTICE EDWIN L. FELTER, 87, of Santa Fe died Sunday in Colorado Springs. He was born in Des Moines, N.M. He was the son of Alpha William Felter and Mary Mahan Felter. Recently of Albuquerque, he lived in Santa Fe most of his life. He received his law degree from American University School of Law in Washington, D.C., in 1943. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater. After the war, he returned to New Mexico to practice law until he was appointed to the First Judicial District Court bench in 1970. He served as a District Court judge throughout the 1970s until Gov. Bruce King appointed him to the state Supreme Court. He retired from the Supreme Court in 1980. After his retirement, the chief justice designated him to many special assignments as judge pro-tem. He is survived by his wife Evangeline M. Felter; children, Edwin L. Felter Jr. and wife Yoko Felter, Teresa Felter, Rita Felter, Angela Romero and husband Paul A. Romero, and John W. Felter and wife Venus D. Montoya-Felter; five grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. A public visitation will be held 1-5 p.m. Thursday at the Capitol rotunda. THOMAS P. SANCHEZ, 54, of Las Vegas, N.M., died after a brief illness. He was born in Las Vegas, N.M. He attended schools in Las Vegas, N.M., and went into the Marine Corps and was stationed in Vietnam. He received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with three stars, the Rifle Marksman Badge, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with palm and frame and the Good Conduct Medal, and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps as a lance corporal in 1972. He had worked as a custodian at Robertson High School, Las Vegas Medical Center and the United World College. He enjoyed fishing, working crossword puzzles and listening to country and Spanish music. He was preceded in death by his father, William Sanchez and brother, Billy Joe Sanchez. He is survived by his wife, Gloria of Las Vegas, N.M.; children, Frances Gabaldon McKenna and husband Thomas of San Francisco, Alicia Sanchez and companion Ed Kirsen of Los Angeles, and Tomas Sanchez of Las Vegas; mother, Vivian G. BERNICE Thompson ZUCAL of Santa Fe died Aug. 21 at her daughter's home in Corte Madera, Calif. She was born in Worcester, Mass. SUSAN MARIE ROMERO, 29, of Taos died Tuesday. She was a 1993 graduate of Taos High School and graduated from Franklin Medical College in Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her adopted brother, Pete Gonzales. EDWARD E. "EDDIE" TAPIA, 75, of Nambé died Tuesday after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adela and Mauricio Tapia, Sr.; brothers, Joe M. Tapia, Fred Tapia, Ernesto Tapia, and Phil Tapia; and sister, Marcella Anderson. He was employed by Los Alamos National Laboratory for more than 30 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict (1950-53); and on Nov. 11, 2003, was honored at the dedication of the Española Veterans Memorial. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener and chef. He was a founding member and firefighter with the Pojoaque Valley Volunteer Fire Department.
He helped to organize the Pojoaque Valley Little League Program in 1963. He coached the Nambé Bears.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Tapia of Nambé; sons, Edward E. Tapia Jr. and wife Margie of Pojoaque, Timothy Tapia of Nambé, John Tapia and wife Karen of La Puebla; daughters, Patricia Tapia-Gomez and husband George D. Gomez of El Rancho, Christina Terpanick and husband Alan of Colonia, N.J., Teresa Day and husband Ethan of Scottsdale, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; sisters, Guadalupe "Pita" Lucero and Claudio, Mary Sirianni and husband Gus, all of Tracy, Calif., and Teresa Madrid and husband Ivan, of Ribera; brothers, Reyes Tapia of Tracy, Calif., Bobby Tapia and wife Chello of Albuquerque, Mauricio Tapia Jr. and Felipe Tapia and wife Mary, all of Las Vegas, N.M.; and many other relatives and friends. ORVAL E. HENRY, 85, of El Guique died Saturday after a short illness. He was a truck driver for Lowdermilk Co. in Española for 31 years and transported the large rock to the Big Rock Shopping Center. He helped pave the first airport in Los Alamos.
He was a member of the Eagles in Española. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed trap shooting. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Henry; parents, Thomas and Jesse Henry; and sister, Louise Phillips. He is survived by his daughters, Nancy Henry of El Guique, Tommie Shiplett and husband Robert of Mesquite, Texas, and Dorothy Sue Lamance and husband Andy English of Dexter; sons, Stanley Henry and wife Judy of Hope, and Donald Henry and wife Tammy of Roswell; 11 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
