JOSEPH ISAAC LUJAN, 83, of Española died Saturday.
He was born in Clayton and raised in Taos. He served in the U.S. Army in the late 1940s. He worked at Hunter Motor Company in Española and retired after more than 50 years of service. He was a member of the Elks Lodge of Santa Fe and an active member and eucharistic minister at La Iglesia de la Santa Cruz de la Cañada.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ignacio and Regina Lujan; daughters, Lois Archuleta and Linda Lujan; and sister, Emma Pena.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes "Nashie" Lujan; daughters, Loretta Leeway and husband William of Chili, Juanita Lujan of Fairview, Marcia Lujan of Los Alamos and Luanna Lujan of Albuquerque; sons, Leroy Lujan and wife Diana of Santa Fe, Leonard Lujan and wife Anita of Albuquerque, Larry Lujan of Santa Fe, Edward Lujan and wife Albertina of Santa Fe and James V. Lujan of La Mesilla; 19 grandchildren; close friend, Johnny Block Jr.; and many other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Block-Salazar Mortuary. Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday at La Iglesia De La Santa Cruz Del La Canada with burial to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

FRANKIE LEE RODRIGUEZ, 58, of El Guache died September 1 in California while visiting his daughter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie; parents, Jose Franke and Amadita Rodriguez; and brothers, Walter and Sammy.
He is survived by his daughter, Cher and husband Angel of Hawthorne, Calif.; son, Ronnie and wife Nielly of California; four grandchildren; brother, Bobby; sisters, Laura, Carla, Lila, Sarah and Poncha; and many other relatives.
He and his wife moved out of New Mexico at an early age. They met and married in California. They both worked for Northrop Airlines. He retired after 35 years of service. Shortly after, he returned to New Mexico where his heart was. He had just attended and participated in the committee for his 40th class reunion and also was active in the volunteer fireman's group.
Cremation has taken place at San Jose Catholic Church in Hernandez. Private burial will follow at a later date.

MARGARET RODRIGUEZ, 77, of Las Vegas, N.M. died Friday in Albuquerque after a long illness.
She was born in Pecos but lived most of her life in Las Vegas, N.M. She graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1944 and later worked as a nurse's aide at the old St. Anthony's Hospital in Las Vegas, N.M. In 1947, she was married to Frank B. Rodriguez, a recently returned World War II veteran and they settled in West Last Vegas. They became members of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish. In the 1950s she worked for the Jayval Parachute Manufacturing Company and in 1969 she began employment at the West Las Vegas Schools which led to a long career of service to the school district at Armijo Elementary School. Working with her supervising administrators, she took great pride in providing support to the teaching staff and creating a safe, friendly and productive school environment. She retired in 1991 after 21 years of service. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melecio and Juanita Vigil; sons, Michael and Frank; and brother, Robert Vigil.
She is survived by her husband, Frank of Las Vegas, N.M.; daughters, Mary Jane Robinson of Las Vegas, N.M. and Monica Rogriguez of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren; sister, Fedelina Ortega of Albuquerque; brothers, Victor Vigil and wife Agnes of Santa Fe, Melecio Vigil of Grants, Joe Vigil and wife Irene of Albuquerque, Paul Vigil and wife Flora of Phoenix, Fernando Vigil and wife Rebecca, Andy Vigil and wife Gloria, and Maurilio Vigil and wife Alberta, all of Las Vegas, N.M.; and many other relatives and friends.

PABLO J.B. VALDEZ JR., 56, of Chimayó died Friday after a long illness.
He was born in Ensenada to Pablo and Consuelo Valdez. He worked for Harold Brock and Henry Valencia dealerships until his retirement. He coached EVCA and Little League for 13 years as a volunteer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pablo Sr. and Consuelo Valdez; and brothers, Remijio, Alejandro and Valentin Valdez.
He is survived by his wife, Rosie Valdez; sons, Michael Martinez and wife Melissa, Johnny Valdez and wife Pennie and David Valdez; three grandchildren; sisters, Veronica Butterfield and husband Jim of Beaverton, Ore., Alice Dollar and husband John of Española and Liza Villegas of Las Vegas, Nev.; brothers, Nelson Valdez and wife Lola of Kelso, Calif., Orlando Valdez of Dallas, and Gerald and Tony Valdez of Española; close cousins, Baltzar Valdez of Ensenada and Aileen Barela of Española; and many other relatives and friends.

JOHN L. VIGIL, 75, of Guadalupita died Friday after a long illness at Alta Vista Regional Hospital.
He was born in Taos to the late Juan A. Vigil and Ascencionita Torres Vigil. He was married to Bennie Martinez in 1950 in Mora. He loved the outdoors and worked most of his life farming, ranching, and logging. He also worked as a bus driver for many years for the Mora Independent Schools. He was a member of St. Gertrude's Church in Mora and a member of the Morada de Nuestro Padre Jesus in Guadalupita.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Joseph Vigil; and daughter, Lorraine Vigil.
He is survived by his wife, Bennie Vigil of the family home in Guadalupita; children, Marcia Vigil, Rosie and husband Bengie Archuleta, Floyd Vigil, Gloria and husband Felix Rodriguez, Michael Vigil, Paul Vigil and wife Donna, Beatrice and husband Lesley Regensberg, all of Guadalupita, and Genevieve and husband Sam Chavez of Holman; brothers, Alfonso Vigil and Orlando Vigil, both of Guadalupita; 26 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

ROBERT H. CAMPBELL, 84, of Los Alamos died Monday after a short illness.
He served in the U.S. Navy in Washington, D.C., before moving to Los Alamos. He was employed with the Los Alamos National Laboratory since 1946 as a physicist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Julia Campbell; brothers, William H. and Thomas H. Campbell; and sister, Kathleen Campbell.
He is survived by his wife, Grayce Campbell of Los Alamos; daughter, Kathleen Campbell of Omaha, Neb.; one grandson; and many other relatives and friends.
