JOSE MALAQUIAS RAEL, 79, of Questa died Monday.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Salomon and Irene Rael; and brothers, Moises, J.B. and Elirio.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy Rael; children, Michael Rael and Cindy, Marcus Rael and wife Jana, Roxanne Cisneros and husband Gabriel, Ralph Rael and wife Lisa, Mario Rael and wife Gidget, Malaquias Rael Jr. and wife Danette and Matthew Rael and wife Georgianna; 21 grandchildren; and many other relatives.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Questa. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the same church with burial to follow at San Pedro Cemetery.

EDWINA HERRERA, 65, of El Rancho died unexpectedly Thursday.
She worked as an administrative assistant at Los Alamos National Laboratory before retiring after 30 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her father, Procopio Herrera.
She is survived by her children, Troy, Bernadette and Annette Herrera; four grandchildren; mother, Adelicia Herrera; brothers and sisters, Cleo Gutierrez and husband Wilfred, Connie Peņa, Pita Ortiz and husband, Tony; Mike Herrera and wife, Liz; and Dennis Herrera and wife, Grace; special uncle, Jose Maria Herrera; special nephew, Michael Herrera Jr. and many other relatives and friends.
A public visitation will be held at 6:30 p.m. today at St. Anthony's of Padua Catholic Church in El Rancho with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the same church with burial to follow at El Rancho Cemetery.

JULIO HURTADO, 49, of Ribera died Tuesday.
He was born in San Miguel to Florinda S. Sena and Locario Hurtado Sr.
He was preceded in death by his father; brothers, Peter Hurtado and Nicasio Hurtado; and sister, Mary Rose Garcia.
He is survived by his mother, Florinda S. Hurtado of Ribera; children, Heather Hurtado and Julio Hurtado, both from Ribera, and Melanie Hampton and husband David of Canyon, Texas; three grandchildren; mother of his children, Doris Hurtado of Dallas; sisters and brothers, Theresa Hurtado, Ernesto Hurtado and Camila, Locario Hurtado Jr. and Corrine, all of Ribera, Paula Lucero and Antonio of California, and Pina Lopez and Zenon of Canyon, Texas; and many other relatives and friends.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at San Miguel Del Vado Church with burial to follow at San Miguel Cemetery.

JOSE FELIX MASCARENAS, 66, of Peņasco died Wednesday. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Mascarenas; son, David Craft; brother, Adelicio Mascarenas; and sister, Clara Mascarenas.
He is survived by his sons, Felix Mascarenas Jr. and Louis Craft; and brother, Amos Mascarenas.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at San Antonio de Padua Church with burial to follow at Mascarenas Cemetery.

BEN SANCHEZ, 94, of Cerro died Wednesday.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudina Sanchez; daughters, Carolina Sanchez and Judy Cisneros; nine brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his children, Jerry Sanchez, Jeannie Sanchez-Masters and husband Donald, Yolanda Sanchez-Acosta and husband Ross and Juanita Souchet and husband Victor; 12 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Cerro. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the same church with burial to follow at Cerro Cemetery.

GAYLE WINNEBERGER, 61, of Santa Fe died Wednesday after a long illness.
She was born Glenda Gayle Driver in Yakima, Wash., to James Edward and Reta Mae (Stark) Driver. She loved her pets, playing the organ, music, growing orchids, playing bridge, singing in musical plays at the Santa Fe Arts Institute and studying a variety of birds at her many bird feeders. She was a member of the Oley Foundation, Santa Fe Country Club Women's Golf Association, Santa Fe Garden Club and the Santa Fe Women's Club. She had a calm, sweet disposition. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, George Winneberger of Santa Fe; sons, David Bush of Los Angeles and Timothy Bush and wife Michelle of Cheyenne, Wyo.; stepdaughters, Terri and husband Greg Martin of Santa Fe and Chris and husband Carl Pollak of Ponca City, Okla.; stepsons, David Winneberger and Dale Winneberger and wife Teresa, all of Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren; siblings, Lynn Winneberger of Redondo Beach, Calif., Kay LaBreche of Garden Grove, Calif., Blythe Johnson of Junction City, Ore., Darla Polo of La Palma, Calif., and Roger Driver of Lakewood, Calif.; and many other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's United Methodist Church.
