CELIA BERNAL CHACON, 97, of Cleveland, N.M., died Thursday after a long illness.
She was born in Cleveland, N.M., to the late Adolfo Bernal and Rayitos Martinez Bernal. She was married to the late Juan Eusebio Chacon. She was a member of St. Gertrude Church in Mora, the San Antonio Church in Cleveland, N.M., and the Cofradia Del Sagrado Corazon. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Loyola Chacon; sister, Cliofes Romero; and brother, Abencio Bernal.
She is survived by her sister, Susana Fernandez of Cleveland, N.M.; grandsons whom she raised, Willie Cruz and partner Toni Ortega, and Leroy Cruz Jr., all of Cleveland, N.M.; daughters, Frances Echhare and husband Don, and Corrine Gutierrez, all of Santa Fe, Mary Martinez and husband Leland of Casper, Wyo., Dora Valdez and husband Robert of Las Vegas, N.M., and Esther Castillo and husband Jeremias of Los Alamos; son, Andy Martinez of Burley, Idaho; stepsons, Casimiro Chacon of Rodarte, and Margarito Chacon and wife Grace of Cheyenne; and many other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Gertrude Church in Mora. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the same church with burial to follow at the family cemetery in Holman.

LEO MICHAEL LOPEZ, 44, of Chimayó died unexpectedly Wednesday.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fernando Lopez; brothers, Antonio, Alonzo, Seferino, and Martin Lopez and Lupe Romero; and sister, Brenda Lopez.
He is survived by his daughters, Tabitha and Jessica Lopez of Española; son, Seferino Lopez of Española; mother, Ernestine Martinez of Chimayó; six grandchildren; brothers, Norman Lopez of Chimayó, and Rudy Arzola and wife Polly of Chimayó; sister, Theresa Lopez of Española; companion, Ernestina Sedillo of Chimayó; special niece Britney Arzola; and many other relatives and friends.

ANNIE QUINTANA, 69, of Las Vegas, N.M., died Thursday.
She was born in Las Vegas, N.M., to the late Emilio Duran and Teresita Solano. She was married to Nazario Quintana. She retired in 2000 from Las Vegas City Schools, where she was employed as a teacher for 26 years. She loved to crochet and bake. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emilio and Teresita Duran; husband, Nazario Quintana; brother, Polito Duran; and sister, Luisa Gallegos.
She is survived by her son, Orlando Quintana and wife Theresa of Plainview, Texas; one grandson; brother, Jose Benito Duran and wife Celia of Las Vegas, N.M.; sister, Mary Gallegos and husband Frank of Rociada; and many other relatives and friends.

QUIRINA JARAMILLO, 92, of Las Vegas, N.M., died Thursday at the Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque after an extended illness.
She was born in Las Vegas, N.M. She loved to cook. She enjoyed gardening and growing calabacitas, maize and beans. She loved raising her children. She attended Our Lady of Sorrows Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Miguel Jaramillo, Sr.; parents, Apolonio and Eulalia Avila Archuleta; brothers, Juan, Manuel and Jose Archuleta; and sisters, Condrada Apodaca, Celilia Archuleta and Alcalia Scrum.
She is survived by sons, Tomas Jaramillo and companion Cruzita Crespin, Roger Jaramillo of Los Lunas and Miguel Jaramillo Jr. and wife, Aggie, of Las Vegas, N.M.; sister, Tillie Pila Archuleta of Las Vegas, N.M.; 10 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
