ADRIAN A. QUINTANA, 44, of Pecos died Saturday.
He was born in Santa Fe. He was married to Rosie Duran at St. Anthony's Church in Pecos in 1982. He was a loving husband and father. He dedicated his life to his own children and to many of the children from Pecos. He served in the National Guard in Santa Fe. He enjoyed hunting with his son. He loved planting fields that his grandfather left him. His coaching was a big part of his life. He owned and operated the Pecos Drive-In for the past 15 years. He was a member of St. Anthony's Church in Pecos.
He is survived by his wife, Rosie Quintana; son and daughter, Adrian Quintana Jr. and Kristina Quintana, all of family home in Pecos; one granddaughter; mother, Elsie Lopez; and sisters, Irma Whittington and husband Sam, Elaine Varela and husband Melvin, Brenda Duran and husband Eddie Roy, Phyllis Duran and husband Steve and Amy De Herrera and husband Henry, all of Pecos; and many other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. today at St. Anthony's Church in Pecos. A second rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the same church. A funeral service will be held Thursday, time pending, at the Pecos High School gym with burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Pecos.

ALONZO J. RAEL, 87, of La Cienega died Saturday after suffering a stroke.
He was a well-known rancher. He was employed in the CCC Camps and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked for Reynolds Aluminum and the ship yards in California. He retired to his ranch in Canon from Southern Union Gas Company in 1981.
He is survived by his sisters, Octaviana Rael Chavez, Rosanna Rael Mier and husband Marin; and many other relatives and friends. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your favorite charity.

R. ARTHUR RIVERA, 77, of Santa Fe died suddenly Sunday.
He was born in Nambé to Alfredo and Beronis. He attended junior high and high school in Santa Fe while living with his maternal grandparents, Lorenzo and Lucia Romero. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Leyte, the Philippines. After returning to New Mexico, he married Marie Lujan. He worked in the administration of mail and records at Los Alamos Natinal Laboratory, retiring after 35 years. He was active in parish life and a member of the Cathedral's Holy Name Society. During his retirement, he gave countless hours to the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, managing Rosario Cemetery and the grounds and facilities maintenance at the Cathedral and St. Francis School.
He is survived by his daughters, Lorraine Jones and husband Dick of Santa Fe and Miquela Rivera Lozano and husband Marvin of Albuquerque; two granddaughters; brothers, Alfred and wife Connie of Santa Fe and Carlos and wife Evelyn of Las Cruces; sisters, Lucy Malone and husband Bob of White Rock and Angie Rivera of Albuquerque; and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. today at McGee Memorial Chapel followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. at St. Francis Cathedral. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Cathedral with burial to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

WILLIE E. ARCHULETA, 94, of Española died Friday after a long illness.
He was the son of the late Juan and Deviliana Archuleta. He was once a well-known car salesman who loved welding and working with jewelry in his spare time. He loved fishing and hunting and spending time outdoors. He also enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella Archuleta; brothers, Juan and Jose Archuleta; sister, Flora Trujillo; daughter, Laura Lucero; half-brothers, Federico Archuleta Demecio Archuleta and half sister: Ascencion Sanchez.
He is survived by his sons, Pat Archuleta and wife Elsie of Española; Ted Archuleta and wife Ercie of Española; six grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

CLORINDA S. GARCIA, 87, of Wagon Mound died Thursday at Palomas Nursing Home in Albuquerque after a long illness.
She was born in Wagon Mound to the late Samuel Salazar and Piedad Suazo. She worked as a clerk at the McArthur General Store for several years. She attended the First Baptist Church in Wagon Mound.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Simon Garcia, Sr.; parents, Samuel Salazar and Piedad Suazo; and sister, Senaida Fulcher.
She is survived by her sons, Simon Garcia of Albuquerque and Eddie Garcia of Santa Fe; one granddaughter; sisters, Patrocina Martinez of Colmor and Semelina Salazar of Raton; and many other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at First Baptist Church in Wagon Mound with burial to follow at Hillside Cemetery in Wagon Mound.

HUGH WYMAN MADOLE, 88, of Springer died Sunday.
He was a former resident of Roy. He was born in Barnett, Mo., to Lon and Mary Madole. He served in World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post 33 where he served as a post commander. He was a member of the Roy School Board and drove a school bus for several years. He an active member of St. Paul's Methodist Church in Roy where he loved to sing in the choir. He was the barber in Roy for 55 years and retired in 1994. He loved music, fishing and enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in all kinds of sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Curtis Ray Madole.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Madole; sister, Mildred Welch of Springer; son and daughters, Jerrel Madole and wife Betty and Jeanette Porterfield and husband Jerry, all of Roy, Betty Burton and Patsy Odell and husband Ron, all of Amarillo, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the United Church of Roy with burial to follow at Roy Cemetery.

AMADEO PENA, 83, of Las Vegas, N.M., died Friday after a long illness.
He was born in Las Dispensas to the late Eisabel Pena and Matilde Sanchez. He was a volunteer of the U.S. Army Corps during World War II. He fought in the Pacific Theater, New Guinea and the Philippines. He worked as manager at Husky Oil Gas Station for many years. He was very supportive of his family's business and was known for his work ethic.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Margarito Pena and Luis Pena; and sister, Rosita Pena-Branch.
He is survived by his sisters and brother, Lucia Pena of Las Vegas, N.M.; Gregorita "Lita" Pena of Arroyo Grande, Calif., Ernesto Pena and wife Mela of Albuquerque, Matilde Pena and Maria C. Clayton, all of Las Vegas, N.M.; Isabella Davison of Anaheim, Calif. and Teodorita Pena of Las Vegas, N.M.; and many other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the Immaculate Conception Church. A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the same church with burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery.
