ADRIAN A. QUINTANA, 44, of Pecos died Saturday. He was born in Santa Fe. He was married to Rosie Duran at St. Anthony's Church in Pecos in 1982. He was a loving husband and father. He served in the National Guard in Santa Fe. He loved hunting with his son. He enjoyed planting fields that his grandfather left him. His coaching was a big part of his life, and he was like a second father to a lot of kids. He owned and operated the Pecos Drive-In for the past 15 years. He was a member of St. Anthony's Church in Pecos. He is survived by his wife, Rosie Quintana; children, Adrian Quintana Jr. and Kristina Quintana, all of the family home in Pecos; one granddaughter; mother, Elsie Lopez; sisters, Irma Whittington and husband Sam, Elaine Varela and husband Melvin, Brenda Duran and husband Eddie Roy, Phyllis Duran and husband Steve and Amy De Herrera and husband Henry, all of Pecos; and many other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at St. Anthony's Church in Pecos. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Pecos High School Gymnasium with burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Pecos. Rogers Mortuary, Las Vegas, 1 (800) 479-3511.

DAVID EUGENIO QUINTANA, 51, of Roswell died Sunday after injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born to Placido Quintana Jr. and Helen Bachicha Quintana in Dahlia. He grew up in Dahlia. He was married in 1973 in Villanueva to Lucilla Villanueva. He was a loving husband and father. He was employed in Roswell for 28 years as a custodian and maintenance worker with the Calvary Baptist Church. He enjoyed raising his animals and gardening. He was a member of St. John's Church in Roswell. He was preceded in death by his brother, Magdaleno Quintana. He is survived by his wife, Lucille Quintana; children, Luana Quintana, Joe Magdaleno Quintana and Randy Quintana, all of Roswell; seven grandchildren; parents, Placido Quintana Jr. and Helen Quintana of Dahlia; brothers and sisters, Orlando Quintana and Mary Helen and Andrew Chavez, all of Albuquerque, Dan Quintana of Dahlia, Cecilia and Lorenzo, and Leroy Quintana and Christine, all of Santa Rosa, Virginia and Leroy Trujillo of Las Vegas, N.M., Lisa and Lawrence Roy Lucero of Tecolotito, and many other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at St. Joseph's Church in Anton Chico. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Villanueva with burial to follow at the Villanueva Family Cemetery. APOLONITA PADILLA, 94, of Costilla died Friday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fermin Padilla; son, Arthur V. Padilla; and daughter, Liz Malouff. She is survived by her children, Orlando Padilla and wife Emily, Mary Matinez and husband Everette, Diane Russell, and Arthur Padilla, all of Denver, Annabelle Archuleta and husband Roland of Los Angeles, Tonita Padilla of Costilla, Pauline Rivera and husband Richard of Thorton, Colo.; and many other relatives. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Costilla. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at the same church with burial to follow at Costilla Cemetery. ROBERT ISAIAH VALENZUELA JR., 18, of Pie Town died unexpectedly Sunday. He attended Magdelena High School in Magdelena. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Gutierrez. He is survived by his adoptive parents, George and Peggy Summers; father, Robert Valenzuela; daughter, Pauline Valenzuela; special cousins, Adrian and Erica Gallegos and Elbert and Yvette Gutierrez; and many other relatives. Cremation has taken place. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at the Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe in Petaca. JANE GUTIERREZ, 50, of Santa Fe died Monday.
She was preceded in death by her father, Juan Ramirez and brother, Esteven Ramirez.
She was born in Tucumcari, the daughter of Juan and Roma Ramirez. She married Rick Gutierrez in Santa Fe in 1974. She was a 1972 graduate of Santa Fe High School and was employed by Southwest Title Company (2004-present) and Stewart Title (1995-present). She was a member of Santa Maria de La Paz Catholic Church and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends and family.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to New Mexico Diabetes Assn.
She is survived by her husband, Rick Gutierrez; daughters, Monika and Vanessa Gutierrez; mother, Roma Ramirez; sisters, Della Howard, Barbara Perez and husband Cruz and Helen Lewis; brothers, Frank Ramirez and wife Sue, and Anthony Ramirez; and many other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday at Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the same church with burial to follow at Rosario Cemetery.

MANUEL "REX" LUCERO, 70, of Santa Cruz, N.M., died unexpectedly Monday.
He was preceded in death by his son, David Lucero; mother, Estella Lucero; and father, Bonifacio Lucero.
He was a longtime bus contractor for the Espaņola School District. He is survived by his daughter, Paula Salazar and husband Johnny of Santa Fe; six grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Agatha Bowlar, Fred Lucero and wife Evelyn, all of California, and Joseph Lucero of Santa Cruz, N.M.; close friend, Sennie Quintana of Cuarteles; mother of his children, Jeanette Lucero of Santa Fe; and many other relatives and friends.
Cremation has taken place. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Caņada with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

ANNE BONNER WARREN of Los Alamos died Friday.
She was undergoing treatment for multiple myeloma cancer at the Institute for Myeloma Research and Therapy in Little Rock, Ark., and succumbed after a 15-month battle with the disease. She was a practicing psychologist in Los Alamos between 1957 and 2000. She was born in 1930 to Dr. Willard and Mrs. Kathryn Bonner in Buffalo, N.Y., graduated from Vassar College and the University of Wisconsin, where she earned a Ph.D. in psychology. In addition to her private practice, she was a member of the American Psychological Association, the New Mexico Psychological Association, and the Northern New Mexico Psychologists chapter. Until her illness in 2003, she was president-elect of the New Mexico Psychological Association. She served on the boards of directors for the Los Alamos Family Council and Los Alamos Family Y. She was active in the Los Alamos Concert Association and Master Gardeners of Los Alamos County. An avid birder, she participated in numerous Audubon field trips and, following her move to Santa Fe in 2000, helped plan guided walks at the Ortiz Mountain Educational Preserve. Between 1997 and 2003, she helped organize Relays for Life for the American Cancer Society in both Los Alamos and Santa Fe.
She is survived by her husband, Lee Warren; daughter, Sarah Middeleer of Newtown, Conn. and Carol Simon of Denver; two grandchildren; brother, Hallam Bonner; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service in her honor will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 13 at the Randall Davey Audubon Center, located at the end of Upper Canyon Road, Santa Fe. (505) 983-4609.

JOHN JAY CUNICO, 56, formerly of Taos, died Saturday. He was a 1966 graduate of Taos High School. He retired from Qwest in Albuquerque after 32 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marie Cunico. He is survived by his daughter, Anna Leah Cunico of Albuquerque; and sister, Janet Cunico of Taos. GLADYS KEY KEITH, 92, of Taos died Sept. 26. She worked for the Las Vegas Public School System as a physical education teacher. After retiring from the school system, she went to work teaching American Indian students. Her time with the American Indian school system was short-lived, as she was involved in a near-fatal auto accident. RUDOLFO "RUDY" P. PADILLA, 75, of Santa Fe died Tuesday. He was born to Reyes and Clara Padilla Sr. in Santa Fe. After graduating from Santa Fe High School, he attended Eastern New Mexico University and Coyne Electrical College in Chicago. He served his country with pride in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Maria Boynton; and brother, Abel Padilla. He is survived by his wife, Minnie Padilla; son, Rudy Felipe Padilla; sisters, Pauline Martinez and husband Al, Gloria Salazar, Rosina Silva, and Cecilia Garcia and husband Lorenzo; brothers, Reyes Padilla and wife Zenaida, and Louis Padilla and wife Yolanda.
